The staff are effusively friendly. If you’re an introvert who would like to disappear into your own world, you’ll be dragged back into conversant society. The team treated our four-year-old as a long-lost friend, and frequently took her aside for a fun little activity (such as fishing or just messing about by the water). We visited Telunas during Indonesia's Independence Day, so we took part in the staff celebrations and activities, which were fun. ||There are some significant differences between the private island and the beach resort. We stayed at the beach resort. It has a warm, kampung feel. At the resort, the beach was sandy and shallow, so our four-year-old had no issues splashing about. The waters were too cloudy for snorkelling. Unavoidably, in this part of the world there are rogue pieces of rubbish in the sea, but a squadron of staff assiduously clear the beach first thing every morning. The private island had a much better beach for kids, I think, which was easily accessible from the central hub. It also appeared to have a pool and other more resort-style amenities. ||There is no wifi or A/C in rooms (at least at the beach resort). It did get a little hot in ours, as the wind was light during our stay. This alerted the mosquitoes to some easy prey, although the room’s fans and sleeping nets warded most away.||The food was excellent throughout. And the servers couldn’t do enough for us. |The surroundings are beautiful. It’s impossible not to have an easy, refreshing time here.

I went to Telunas as part of a very large group - 50 of us - for a family and friend celebration. The island itself is so beautiful … a tiny slither of pristine, peaceful paradise … and the resort is sublime. The overwater bungalows are picture postcard perfect, as are all the facilities. But what made the stay so special were the staff … the loveliest, most obliging, courteous, friendly group of people. They went the extra mile at every turn and made our stay extra wonderful. Plenty of activities to get involved with … or you can opt to just laze by the pool with a book. Fabulous food (and endless!!) … the Indonesian desserts were a highlight. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. (Just one small note: I was expecting crystal clear waters - more like river estuary water than sparkling sea water but still very pristine!)

Everything the team members in the resort did for us is amazing and they took care of us very well during our stay. They are friendly and I’m so amazed by the cleanliness of the amenities around the resort and it reflects on how well they take care of this private island and the main beach resort. My biggest biggest thank you goes to Ella, Vili, Mini, Syahrul, Syabil, Mahena, Rangga and the recreation staffs and the boat drivers and Vincent, Frina and the staffs in main beach resort. Frina helped us until the ferry terminal and printed out our departure ferry tickets. They are genuinely great people with great customer service. The most memorable time we had the beach volleyball, the cute bar drinks and the hammock hut by the beach was the best! Will definitely come back to experience the beautiful island again

It took two boat trips from Singapore- abt an hour for each ride. The trip was smooth and easy. Telunas is an island for total relaxation. The staff were all super friendly and helpful abd afjust to our diverse needs. It is not crowded and there is enough space for good conversations and outsoor activity. This is not a ciral island so do not expect crystal clear water. However tge swimming pool facing the sea made up for everything. We love hiking and exploring the island and watching the stars at night. Most important, tgere is no traffic noise except for the chuck sound of the occasional pancung/ sampan.

We had a wonderful stay at Telunas Resort, a peaceful, off-the-grid private island perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our overwater villa was charming and comfortable. The natural sea breeze in the evenings was lovely, though it can get quite warm during the day as there’s no air conditioning.||The food was simple but satisfying, and the service truly stood out. The team was warm, attentive, and always went the extra mile to make us feel at home. A special mention to Bob, who made amazing cocktails! We absolutely loved them!||If you’re looking to unplug and enjoy nature with genuine hospitality, Telunas is a fantastic choice. Just come prepared for a rustic, eco-friendly experience.

Our family visited Telunas in early-July 2025 and had a fantastic time. From the moment we got off the ferry from Singapore in Sekupang Batam, the Telunas staff was there to make our family feel welcomed and special. Agung and Ashril accompanied us on the local ferry ride to Telunas Private Island and, along with the rest of the Telunas staff, made us feel like part of the family for our entire 4-night stay. Upon arriving at the beautiful Private Island, we were treated to our first of many delicious meals with breathtaking views from the dining area. The kitchen and dining staff was top-notch and my wife and I loved the variety of traditional SE Asia food. Our three kids loved the kid’s menu and also the deserts. Every meal, the staff was always there to greet us by name before serving the delicious food. Staff members, like Rangga, began to remember our coffee orders and other things that we liked. This all played into how special the Telunas staff made us feel. Our overwater villa was incredible with a fun loft for the kids and incredible sunrise views right from the bed in the bedroom. From our overwater balcony, we got to see dolphins, a jellyfish and numerous other fish over the course of our stay. Each evening as we walked along the overwater path to dinner, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The amenities and activities were also spot on. From the beach and infinity pool to the overwater massages (highly recommended) and nature hike, the Telunas Private Island gives you plenty to enjoy during your stay. We also like that the staff organized daily activities if we wanted to take a break from disconnecting and relaxing. Our family took a boat to the Telunas Beach Resort to do the low-ropes course, participated in the local village tour, handline fished (and later ate our catch), and made Keris (traditional Javanese daggers) out of palm leaves. Our kids loved the daily afternoon kids club activities as well. Evening activities included two bonfires on the beach and a movie night. We especially loved going on the village tour and getting to see what the Telunas Foundation is doing to support the local communities. While at the village, we even ran into a Telunas staff member we had met that was home on days off who greeted us by name. Overall, it’s hard to fully express how much fun we had at Telunas. We hope to be back soon! Thank you, Telunas Staff!

Really lovely second visit. Stayed two nights in overwater (#8) and two nights in ridge villa (#17). A few things to note: there is not much to do, which was perfectly fine for me but others were bored. Also note, the walk to the ridge villa is steep so you should be a little fit or not afraid to go slowly.|The staff are generous and positive, the kitchen kindly made adjustments I requested without issue. |Enjoy the overwater spa!

Travelled as a couple and stayed at the Ridge Villa for 3 nights. It was, in my opinion, the best island/resort holiday I ever had. Peaceful, great service and we were fortunate with the weather. Telunas is already a beautiful and unique holiday on its own but what truly makes it special is the staff there. Thank you for Elf, Minnie, Juan and the rest of the wonderful team whom I can’t remember the name for your dedicated time in hosting us.
