I reported a failure on booking, but unfortunately the hotel was not fully rejected in my reviews, so I will respond here again:
Thank you for your response. However, I feel it is necessary to clarify several points, as your reply focuses largely on a situation at check-out rather than on the actual substance of my review.
First and foremost, my review was based on my real experience during the stay, not on any intention to “threaten” your team. The mention of a negative review by another guest occurred after the issues had already taken place and does not invalidate the facts described. Linking the credibility of my entire review to this situation is, in my opinion, unjustified.
Regarding the odor in the bathroom: regardless of prior inspections or internal confirmations, there was a persistent sewage smell during our stay, even with ventilation turned on. This was reported to staff at the time. Explaining this as part of a “signature scent” or candle usage does not change the guest experience, which was unpleasant and impacted comfort. Please remember that the staff themselves emphasized several times upon check-in that the bathroom fans must be turned on. I wonder why... well, it's because of the stench, especially in the toilet! And did you also verify that water leaks from under the sinks a few minutes after washing your hands? These are design and finishing flaws, not my opinion.
As for the noise levels, while you refer to internal measurements, the reality is that our room was located directly by the main foyer/atrium. At night, sounds from the street, corridor, and common areas were clearly audible, making restful sleep difficult. This is not a theoretical or subjective concern, but a practical one for guests assigned to this room category.
Additionally, the issue of poor door sealing, allowing both air and sound to pass through, further amplified these problems. This is a design and construction matter, not a matter of opinion.
I appreciate that you acknowledged the delay in the restaurant service. However, this was not a one-off inconvenience but part of a broader impression that the property prioritizes aesthetics over functionality and guest comfort.
Finally, the situation regarding the laundry bag fee was disappointing. Being charged 300 THB for a bag that remained on the property, after spending a significant additional amount on-site, felt disproportionate and unnecessary, and this context was mentioned to illustrate the overall experience, not to undermine your staff.
To be clear: my review included both positives and negatives, and was written with the intention of providing balanced, honest feedback for future guests. Dismissing it as “non-constructive” because it is critical does not reflect openness to improvement.
I stand by my original review.
