Amazing place to visit. Temple ruins are well kept. Sitting on the side of the pathway makes you wonder and imagine how they built it and what it would be like in the old times. Not sure why they won't allow tripods to take photos. Both food place next to each other defeats the purpose for those who can't walk a lot.

The Valley of the Temples is the largest archaeological park in Europe, the most impressive ensemble of Hellenic architecture, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, one of the most fascinating tourist attractions, a symbol of Sicily.

Really wonderful, beautiful, awe inspiring place. So much history and so many incredible temples (surprisingly!). Really worth a visit. You could spend 4 or 5 hours here easily. There's also a decent little cafe and toilets. It's a lot of walking but there is a shuttle bus to get ohu back to the car park if you don't fancy walking all the way back.

Outstanding temple in the Valley of Temples in Agrigento. A very significant and popular sightseeing destination in Sicily. It's a nice stroll from one end to the other. I opted to take the taxi from the parking area to the other end and walk down towards the parking as I saw the sights along the wall.

The Temple of Zeus is awe-inspiring, even in its ruined state. The scale is massive, giving a real sense of the grandeur of ancient Greek architecture. The fallen columns and giant Telamons (stone figures) are incredible to see up close. It’s a powerful reminder of the strength and ambition of the ancient world. Truly one of the highlights of the Valley of the Temples.

Accompanied by an extremely good guide we learned a lot about Sicilian and Greek history, How the evolution of mathematics was tightly tied to the development of larger temples with wider rooves - the golden proportions, Pythagoras etc. I'd advise visitors to bring an umbrella for shade. The complex involves multiple temples - we spent 2.5hrs walking through it. Bring a picnic.

This was a nice escape from the city with views of the sea. It wasn't too crowded when we went, perhaps due to the holiday.

Loved this one just as much as the Temple of Concordia. Lovely at sunset. Excellent view of the modern day below.
