My friend and I stayed in a twin room for a couple of nights. The room was clean and had everything we needed even ear plugs and a cooling fan! We ate in the restaurant one night which wasn’t brilliant! I ordered fish and chips. The fish came as a huge chunk which was undercooked and the batter was thick and hard. My friend had the chicken burger which she said was nice. Martin on the front desk was an absolute diamond. We had great chats with him and he helped us find the best breakfast cafe. The Old Mill just down Fleet Street. 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Would definitely recommend staying here as its location is fantastic too.

This is a fun place to stay in the heart of Dublin. It is right around the corner from Trinity College and the Book of Kells, just down the street from the Irish Rock Museum. Many of the day tours leave from sites within ten minutes' walk and the dining and drinking options are numerous. The hotel is very nice, with friendly helpful staff. We stayed for ten days and it started to feel like home. The room was small, with a large bed, and very comfortable, clean, and attractive. I loved the decor, with art inspired by Gaelic traditions. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the bar is a nice quiet break from the noise and madness in Temple Bar (especially on the weekend). If there is a downside it is the noise at night from the bars across the street (including the Hard Rock Cafe). But they provide ear plugs and it was not hard to sleep. If this is a problem, you can always ask for a room on the opposite side of the building from Fleet Street.

My mom, my Aunt, and myself stayed at Temple Bar Inn for the first two nights when we arrived in Ireland and ended up staying there the last night before flying out of Dublin. We enjoyed our stay here and it was really nice to have 3 single beds as an option. The room was spacious and the front desk was friendly. They were accommodating and stored our bags until we could check in. The location was great. We had a room facing the back (we certainly didn’t need the view) and it was very quiet. Bed was comfy and a small market/store right next store to get some groceries for the rest of our trip. Location made it easy to walk to most places. There wasn’t a lot of hooks to hang towels but there was an exposed rack/pole high above one of the beds with hangers at least. Water bottles were included and that was very nice. The shower wasn’t completely enclosed (which most aren’t) and the floor got pretty slippery, but we laid the towels down and it was just fine. Hair dryer included and large shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. The products were nice and I didn’t even use my own stuff when staying here. Good amount of space in the bathroom and above the sink to place all of our cosmetic bags. I would recommend this hotel and come here again!

I had no idea what to expect when booking this hotel, but I was thrilled with what we got. We booked a triple room, which was the perfect size for our three traveling adults! We had read the reviews about the noise but the hotel provided ear plugs and with the fan and window closed, it was fine. I’m probably in the minority but I loved being able to hear the music from the temple bar from our room! The front desk was extremely helpful and provided recommendations and helped us book taxis when needed. I have recommended this hotel to friends and families and will definitely book this hotel again!

After reading so many reviews I was really worried about booking this hotel, but it was exactly what we needed for our trip to Dublin. The room is small and pretty basic, but we weren’t spending time in the room much. It’s located on the very edge of Temple Bar so it’s not in the middle of all the craziness. Our room faced the bar and it wasn’t too terribly loud, the bar closes at 11pm on the weekdays and clears out pretty quickly. The room was quite warm… AC didn’t work, but the window opens and there is a fan. The blackout curtains are very effective, but definitely block airflow, so I’d suggest bringing an eye mask and just leaving the curtains open. Overall, I’m pleased with the location and the room! I’d stay again for sure.

When we arrived our room wasn’t ready but the reception staff allowed us to leave our bags in the luggage room. When we first entered the building we were greeted and shown where we needed to go to check in. Reception area was very welcoming, clean and staff very helpful. We were advised to come back around midday to check if our room was available. When we returned our room was ready, we stayed in a quadruple room. The room was clean and spacious, 2 bathrooms it was perfect for a group of 4 women on a birthday trip. The only downside to our room is that it was extremely hot however 2 Dyson fans were provided. Hotel is in an excellent location, we felt central to everything. |Would highly recommend this hotel to groups as it is close to all the bars and only a short walk to temple bar.|Staff very friendly and would definitely return to this hotel.

Comfortable and convenient. Beds were good but pillows could be better. No AC. Very noisy in the am (street noise around 6am every day) that required ear plugs (provided for you). Overall, good value.

Stayed 2 nights. Rooms and hotel were spotless. Well decorated and kept. Service was spot on and breakfast was lovely and plenty to choose from. Location is ideal - 2 minute walk from airport bus drop off and pick up and straight on to temple bar. We had a room at the back and couldn’t hear much. The only down fall, was the rooms were stiflingly hot. We had all the windows fully open with the fan blowing 24/7 and the room wasn’t in the sun. Temperatures were max of 19 through the day so not ridiculous and we struggled to sleep because of it. However, would recommend for location alone.

Yelp
Booked this hotel four months ago. But because our flight was changed, we did not get in until 8 PM. Upon walking into this beautiful hotel decorated with industrial type decor with a combination of steel and brick, we were greeted by the front desk staff. We were given earplugs upon check-in. We knew this hotel was not well insulated from the partying noise outside, but we were already prepared for that. Upon entering the room, we noticed that it was overly large. Upon further inspection, we realized it was a handicap room. It was impossible for us to shower as the shower head was super low and the handicap seat in the shower wouldn't stay up and took up more than half the space in the shower. We asked to be moved to another room but there was nothing available until the morning. The next morning I packed up and move to a regular room. I think if you book a room that far in advance and check in late, you should still get the choice of a regular room. It was obviously first come first serve. This situation alone was super annoying!

Yelp
WEIRD EXPERIENCE... Mixed feelings about our stay at the infamous Temple Bar Inn. Absolutely a beautiful lobby with a retro 70s industrial theme (see pics) with a 24/7 friendly security officer. The two desk clerks at the reception desk checkin area were professional and not secretive about the disclaimer of the late night noise from the hopping bar scene below our room, although they provide foam ear plugs to dull the wrath. Unfortunately, a room change to the opposite quieter side of the building was not possible at this juncture since they were sold out. Understanding that this hotel, like many others throughout Europe do not have cold a/c so the windows need to be cracked open. We were aware of the noise situation from reading prior reviews, therefore, we were prepared to deal with it. Within five minutes we were given our room key and up the elevator we went and into an oversized room. As we were unpacking everything, we noticed the pair of foam ear plugs next to the bed, the shower was massive with an affixed chair that took up half the stall with only a removable manual shower head that was level to my neck, a sink that almost was touching my thighs, thick bracing bars throughout and the bed seemed oddly low to the ground. The wife was not pleased and I could feel her stress building up. OMG...We were in the handicap suite or a room for little people, but more likely for handicap people. We checked our reservation which did not indicate a request for a handicap accessible room. The wife gave me the wonderful job to go back to the reception clerk to resolve this issue and hopefully switch rooms. The clerk advised that the hotel has five handicap rooms and we were blessed with one of them. Since the hotel was sold out, there was nothing he could do at this time. He advised me to meet with the clerk in the morning in an attempt to resolve the issue. The next day the clerk was able to provide us another room at the rear of the hotel with less noise, and happily I accepted. We secured this reservation over six months ago and this situation should have never happened in the first place. Not sure if the hotel policy is "First Come, First Serve" since we arrived at 8pm. The next morning we packed up everything and went to the new room, which was modern and perfect. We finally took our showers with excellent hot water pressure and left tired but happier. Other than those exciting issues we had a pleasant stay and the location is excellent with bars and restaurants within steps of the hotel. They provide a breakfast in the hotel for a fee but we chose to experience the donut shops and cafe around the corner. Check out was painless and taxi service can pull up directly to the front door. Interesting experience at this hotel but it worked out fine in the end. Based on the situation we encountered, we called ahead to our hotel in Scotland requesting firmly but politely, NO HANDICAP ROOM PLEASE.

Yelp
Good - location. Rooms are clean. Front desk is helpful. Bad - extremely noisy due to construction etc. room very small. Smallest bathroom sink I've ever seen. No air conditioning. Very dark room. Hard to put on makeup. Breakfast overpriced and bad. Just know what you're getting.

Yelp
This hotel has a level of customer service that all hotels should strive towards. I was here for 2 nights, with a group of 13 total, in 7 separate rooms, that were booked via Orbitz in 4 separate transactions, under 3 different names, by someone other than me - and I didn't have all the confirmation numbers or exact names for all the rooms. Is your head spinning yet? Mine was, when I was checking in ahead of everyone, while jetlagged, & needing to make sure everyone had the bed situation they wanted when they arrived the next day. But Octavio at the front desk was welcoming, and calm, and cool, and warm!, and patient as he went over all the rooms & names & bed setups with me at least four times until I had all the rooms accounted for & clearly mapped out. His team was gracious & warm when everyone else arrived the next day at 7am, jetlagged, & eyeing them for a clean room when checkout time is noon & checkin time isn't til 3pm. Everyone was super communicative, assigning rooms as soon as they were ready. The rooms are very clean, with a lovely tea/coffee set, small fridge, hairdryer, desk area, comfy firm bed w/lots of pillows, face washcloths!, fluffy towels, and nice liquid soap, shower gel, shampoo & lotion. The only concern I have is that there is no AC - but the very powerful tower fan in each room made up for that, as the outside temps were in the 50s. The rooms that were on the (louder) street side had double windows to muffle bar noises outside, and earplugs were thoughtfully placed bedside. The hotel restaurant offers a GREAT breakfast. For 18 euros/person, the extensive buffet had fruit (a rotating selection of whole fruits, grapes, 4 kinds of berries, kiwi, melon, pineapple), granola, meusli, raisins, banana chips, several baked sweet pastries, TO DIE FOR flaky croissants (chocolate, plain & almond), bagels, bread & a toaster, LEGIT fresh baked scones & soda bread, mini Bonne Maman jam jars & butter, Nutella, yogurts both dairy & soy (Killowen Farm in the glass jars!), multiple cold cereals, a selection of sandwich makings, hard boiled eggs, and a hot area with all the components of a full Irish breakfast (sausages, fried & scrambled eggs, beans, hash browns, bacon, baked tomatoes, mushrooms, white & black pudding). Coffees, teas and juices were offered too. We had some very picky eaters in the group & this breakfast buffet made EVERYONE happy - which is truly amazing. I would choose to have breakfast here even if I stayed elsewhere. Lunch & dinner is cooked by Hellfire! So the pizzas & focaccias are LEGIT bc they are made in their woodfired oven. I tried the Mushroom & Rocket focaccia & the Honey & Mustard Salad, add salmon, and they were both FANTASTIC. The location is so convenient to everything around. Bars & restaurants out the door, Tesco Express next door, Hard Rock Cafe a few doors down, The Shelbourne Hotel, Molly Malone, THE Temple Bar & the Book of Kells all less than a mile walking distance away. Tempting bakeries, pharmacies, & a Marks & Spencer nearby. Oh and hotel guests get access to an athletic club w/a pool & sauna that is very close by. This is PRIME Temple Bar area to stay in. I can speak for 13 people when I say that we do recommend!

Yelp
This is the third time I've stayed at the Temple Bar Inn. My mom and I LOVE this hotel. It's centrally located in Dublin. Easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and attractions. Their breakfast buffet is the best. Their staff is PHENOMENAL! Martin at the door is always pleasant and funny. There is no question about dining, directions, or history he can't answer. The front desk staff is stellar! Diana was there almost every day we were, this trip. She was incredibly gracious and delightful to talk with. Since my first stay in 2015 I have recommended the Temple Bar Inn to everyone who has asked where they should stay in Dublin. This is my personal go-to hotel. I LOVE IT! Thank you Temple Bar Inn!

Yelp
This is one of those "what was I thinking" moments. Being unfamiliar with Dublin, I mistakenly booked a (quite expensive) room in the middle of a rock concert - Temple Bar. My room faced Fleet Street - the heart of the party. And, of course, there's no A/C, open windows provide cooling. But the incessant pounding of the party ... I must close the windows. I guess the pair of earplugs on the bedpost (I kid you not) were a tipoff to the night ahead. Earplugs, a first in many dozens of hotel stays, LOL. The room is OK. The circuit breaker for the power sockets tripped a few times tho, somewhat disconcerting. And the wifi seems to be a bit flaky when using a VPN. Value for Euros spent is lacking at the end of the day. If you are not a youngster here for the heck raising, I'd book elsewhere just due to the noise factor. Just sayin'!

Yelp
Finishing our stay now, but will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the temple bar area in Dublin. The room prices were great, and it was such a cool space! Plus the restaurant and bar in the basement had great food and drinks which made some later night snacks very doable.

Liam C.

Yelp
Great rooms in a great location! Easy walking distance to food and medieval sites. If you're in Dublin it's a nice place to stay

Misty A.

Yelp
The staff was great and the hotel was in a great location. I got a little nervous when I got there and realized they didn't have air-conditioning (I'm from the south and I'm used to having air-conditioning all the time) but with the windows open, it was just fine. would definitely stay there again if I was in Dublin.
google avatar

Yelp
Wouldn't stay here again. Parking is awful - super pricey and a few people shooting up heroine behind some cars. Says a complimentary gym and pool but it cost $$ to get in. Rooms are VERY small, could barely fit our luggage.

Joel P.

Yelp
Room stunk of sewage water , didn't want to relocate me even though had open rooms . Do not recommend .
google avatar

Yelp
This is a lovely hotel. We stayed for a short weekend and was very pleased with the rooms. The rooms were as pictured online - clean and comfortable. The reception desk was very helpful and allowed for an early morning check in after our flight. The location is also very convenient for touring Dublin as it is in the middle of many popular sites. Be aware that your room could have some noise from the street in front of the hotel or casino noise in the back. Overall, the temple bar inn was a great place to stay!

Yelp
They have 4 LCD TV's in the indoor pool & sauna area. The gym and pool are located off property at the ultra Westwood Club make sure you pack your gym clothes and swimming trunks. It's just around the corner make a right at the sign that says Hard Rock Hotel and you'll see it on the right. You need a cap in the pool they sell them at the hotel for 2 euros or at the club for 3 euros and they actually look really cool I saw someone in one that was a hip off white and another lady was rocken one that was kind of a shiny silver glitter. Breakfast buffet is 10 euro or 15 depending on if you eat meat. Check in head straight to Bojan thank me later.

Yelp
On May 4, 2022 I entered into a contact with pinSight, HotelBeds and Temple Bar Inn. I paid for a safe hotel room for the nights of March 18 & 19, 2023. I held up my side of the contract with payment and appearance. Temple Bar Inn failed the contract. The room 204 was not fit for human occupancy. The room had a chemical smell. Temple Bar Inn knew this smell was there as they left the room windows wide open trying to air the stink out. There was also an air fresher smell to mask the chemical smell. Due to the loud noise emanating from the street, we closed the OPENED windows. It is than we were overcome with the chemical smell. We could not stay in that room for our health. Were we expected to sleep with the windows open to relieve the smell? Close the windows to lessen the noise? Temple Bar Inn NEVER offered a solution. Temple Bar Inn failed to hold their end of the contract. After further research of reviews I found Temple Bar Inn (the manager) knew of this issue and made rebuttals to the negative reviews. Just as this manager, Simona is doing with our situation. Simona stating the windows works fine is clearly ignorant. Simona stating it is noisy so use earplugs was blatantly ignorant. She'd thought paying guests should sleep in a chemical smelling room with the windows open, on a cold March night with her earplugs in. The issue was NEVER the working condition of the windows. The health board of Ireland should be informed of the chemical smell issue as I am not the only one to complain of it. I am sure the Irish tourist boards would help Temple Bar Inn address the issue. I expected the FULL refund of my payment credited back to my account immediately. Temple Bar Inn broke the terms of the contract. PinSight (HotelBeds - Expedia) holds responsibility for allowing booking of unsafe conditions at Temple Bar Inn. The manager Simona refuses to refund my money. Temple Bar Inn, Expedia, HotelBeds & pinSight stole my money.

Yelp
Only complaint was that our room overlooked temple bar. The day before our flight was warm, so we needed to leave the window open (no AC) and the noise outside kept us up all night. Our poor planning with the 8am flight, but if you want some peace and quiet stay out of Temple Bar.

Chloe B.

Yelp
(Read the whole thing) Honestly my friend and I had a really great time and a good experience at this hotel especially for booking it last minute the staff at the front desk were so nice and gave really great suggestions. We are both in the service industry so we are really happy when we see great service. It's centrally located on the best street to find anything and most things are within walking distance. Our only complaint is that one of the security guards who apparently was just filling in for someone else whos at home with covid was maybe one of the most rude people I've encountered in a while. He was on a power trip to suck the fun out of our night. We only know a few people here. It was late at night and our friends were walking us back to have one more drink and go home. He refused to let them come up. Then he basically forced his way into our room and yelled at us telling us the get the f*** out. What kind of guy forces his way into two young ladies room? We paid money to be there and we cant have two friends come have a drink? By the way his name is Morgan apparently. Hes the worst. The other guards were SO AWESOME and nice. Joe, Terry and martin I believe. Good guys.

Catherine S.

Yelp
This hotel is certainly convenient to the touristy temple bar section of Dublin. Rooms very small but clean. The big problem is noise. Their smoking area is a courtyard on ground level and rude drunk people sit out there and make all kinds of kinds of commotion until very late. One expects bar noise but when you go back to your hotel it would be nice to get sleep! Thanks

Yelp
This is a convenient place to stay in the city centre of Dublin. It's located right on the peripheral of Temple Bar so you can walk to many of the top restaurants and bars in Dublin. The main downside is that it can be loud at night, especially if you end up in a room facing the street. Overall the rooms and service was good. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was your typical Irish breakfast buffet. Nothing to write home about but it was definitely convenient and it was served from 7am onwards. I'd stay here again but only if I'm planning to go out to bars at night. This is not the place if you're looking for a quiet getaway.
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
Great value right in the temple bar area, be aware that means it will be a little loud, they actually have earplugs in your room amenity kit. The noise didn't bother me a bit, but i've seen some reviews complain about it. The staff was great, let us check in early and upgraded us to a two king room, which was a little odd because I was there with my wife, but it was nice to have two bathrooms. The hotel is very chic feeling, they have free espresso in lobby and you can buy tours from a touch screen vending machine which is something i had never seen before. The security guy is apparently friends with connor mcgregor and told us some interesting stories. All in all if I went to dublin again this is definitely where I would stay.

Yelp
Great accommodations! Room was clean. Breakfast was great (hot breakfast, pastries, yogurts, dried fruits, nuts, fresh fruit, smoothie, etc.). Staff is amazing!!! We showed up at 1000 am after travel through the night and figuring we would just be able to leave our bags but Clara at the front desk found us a room!!! She was extremely helpful!! A GREAT experience!!
google avatar

Chelly P.

Yelp
Nice central location but if you are a soft sleeper not the spot! The rooms were nice and clean. There is always coffee and extra security which is nice! We came on an overnight flight and the front desk did their best to clean up a room and let us check in early and with a baby bed as well! No complaints this is our go to hotel in Dublin!
google avatar

Greg A.

Yelp
Center of it all nice clean hotel. First time in Dublin just start off your time here.

Yelp
Modern feel, centrally located, five star service, and lots of extra perks. Temple Bar Inn is just as gorgeous as their website. The rooms are clean, sleek, and fully equipped. They are on the smaller side, depending on which room you receive but they are brand new and well decorated. The breakfast buffet downstairs is excellent serving a traditional Irish breakfast. The rooms are also equipped with mini refrigerators. It is directly in the hustle and bustle of the popular Temple Bar District. Restaurants, bars and a supermarket are right downstairs and the area is in walking distance to every major site you may want to visit - even the Guinness Factory. Because of the central location, the noise level is a bit high, but if you are staying in the popular, touristy area of the Temple Bar this is something you must come to expect. You can always ask to be in a room that doesn't face the street. Enjoy your stay in Dublin!

Beth G.

Yelp
Great location. Great ambiance. Very clean. Very safe. Excellent breakfast. Perfect guest services. Loved this Inn...so cool and funky. The only thing I could say that is remotely unflattering is that the beds could be a bit more comfortable.
google avatar

Alicia E.

Yelp
I stayed here for a night in Dublin. It was easy to find, right the middle of everything, and plenty to do nearby. Everything was clean and modern - you do need your key card for everything including accessing the elevator and lights for the bathroom. They were also nice enough to let me check in super early after my red-eye flight in. While the noise from outside was not bad, there was no hallway in my room so my bed was right next to the door and I could hear everyone who was talking in the hall from my room. Luckily, I was there on a slow night, so it wasn't a huge issue.
google avatar

Ali E.

Yelp
I booked a private room here for our last night stay in Dublin. Knowing it has only been opened a couple of weeks i had pretty low expectations and did prepare to walk into an unfinished hostel. On the contrary. Other than some outside renovations, the hostel was beautiful. Such a great atmosphere, very trendy furniture and color schemes and very nice staff. Our room belonged in a hotel. The trendy furniture and artwork was displayed in the room, along with a lot of upgraded technology amenities (flat screen tv, touch tone phone, high power hairdryer). The bed was super comfortable and the shower was the best i had taken all trip. The only thing i would have people keep in mind is the location. It is in a fun/young part of Dublin with a pub across the street that plays live music (sounded like he was playing on the street). Might keep you up unless you request a room not street side.
google avatar

Kostas R.

Yelp
Great location in the centre of Dublin within walking distance to bars and sites. Bed is super comfortable and breakfast is delicious. Despite central location it is not noisy at all. Modern and stylish, worth a visit. Good value for money

Melissa S.

Yelp
This hotel is in a great location in the Temple Bar area. When we checked in they gave us ice cream. Everyone we dealt with at the front desk was so nice and helpful. They have a lift. Our room was very clean and roomy. The shower was probably the worst part of the hotel. It was very small and kind of a hazard. There is a safe in the room. We paid extra for AC and glad we did. We didn't hear any of the noise other people mentioned. There's a grocery store across the street. Plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Would stay here again. Didn't give 4 stars because of the shower.
google avatar

Tracey P.

Yelp
This place truly does look like all the photos. Unique & colorful decor (almost like a leprechaun village!). Newly refurbished with upscale amenities, fixtures, etc. Surprisingly quiet even though it's right on the main strip of Temple Bar. Parking conveniently next door. Would definitely stay here again. No liquor license yet (so no obnoxious drinkers when we were here). Staff still seem like they're trying to get acquainted with the facility, but friendly.

Chris B.

Yelp
We had 2 final nights in Dublin after 2 weeks of touring the country. Naomi at the front desk was warm, welcoming and very helpful. The hotel has a great location from which to explore Dublin. The rooms are comfortable. The only thing is it is a very loud part of town. The hotel includes ear plugs in the rooms, so they are mindful of the issue. I highly recommend the Temple Bar Inn.

Jeff F.

Yelp
I guess I was wrong about the staff. My wife left something in the room. After 3 emails the general manager has not responded. Too bad I can't change the rating. Extremely disappointed in the follow up service.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
I have never been so disrespected and treated like a vagrant.. I had been up for 30 straight hours upon arriving at this hotel where I was a of guest.. check in wasn't until 3pm ok I get that so they have a pleathra of couched and I fell asleep only to be woken by a man telling me to wake up I couldn't sleep.. so what is one to do.. I'd recommend the bates motel before this place..

Yelp
Staff were friendly at check -in. Modern feel to the room but very very small in size, but clean. I was glad to have a safe, tv with at least 15-20 channels and free wi-fi also. The bathroom was modern, but small also and no rail for hand tools which was a first for me. Bed was okay but pillows were rock hard so not a great nights sleep. Great location in Temple Bar and close to some great bars and restaurants in downtown Dublin.
google avatar

Sandra O.

Yelp
location is awful but I was at the theatre nearby so no choice. there is no sign so easy to miss and the security man advised me not to walk through Temple Bar. Its on the edge of it so it was easy to avoid that. Had a crap breakfast for the price of a kidney. The room was small but the bathroom huge, no baths in the entire hotel. Next to Tesco. Staff were nice. Expensive for what I got but its Ireland the capital of the rip off republic so what can you expect. Parking is expensive also and not provided by the hotel, most hotels have a free parking deal set up with a garage but this hotel just had a discount.
google avatar

Melissa I.

Yelp
Definitely 5 stars! We stayed in the Quad room which was perfect for the four of us. 2 bathrooms and 4 twin beds lined up. Perfect rate, clean, very nice staff, and a coffee machine downstairs for lattes every morning. Switched to a double room once the other 2 travelers left and that was very nice as well. Highly recommend. Great location as well.

Yelp
Great location. Newly refurbished. Exceptional service and helpful staff, very prompt and efficient. Clean. Great location. Highly recommend.
