We were totally knackered and hungry like a wolf ! Just offloaded our bags after a long bus journey and this was the first place we saw. It was very appealing with its tables on the small park like setting beside the street. It being the day before the the Day of the Dead there was plenty of live activity and entertainment from our perfect vantage point !! Not knowing the portion sizes here we ordered too much food. When we saw the first part of our order we canceled the second with no problem whatsoever. Our food was delicious and fairly priced. The only downside was that because of the many distractions our waiter removed our beer glass a little bit too early !! lol.

The staff was very friendly and Miguel the manager went out of his way to make sure our experience was 100% satisfactory. My brother and I visited 4 times in 3 days. Great place for tacos and tequila.

Loved this little gem in San Miguel. The service was great. The food was delicious and the ambience was lovely both inside and on the patio. I love the custom placemats.

Google
What a great place! One block from the Jardin and the perfect place to take in the flavor of San Miguel, not just the food, which was unique and delicious, but the sights and sounds as well. We were treated to excellent, genuinely friendly service by “our own personal Jesus.” Jesus could not have been more attentive or accommodating. The margaritas were good and the prices were reasonable. If you visit San Miguel don’t leave without checking it out.

We were there on Dec 22 for lunch. Food was good but prices have gone up and the menu selections not as great as it was in 2015. As well I tried to pay by VISA and was told the transaction did not go through so I ended up paying by cash. But after returning from my holidays I see that the restaurant double charge me as the credit card transaction did go through. The credit card company has reverse the charge temporarily pending investigation and needed back up from me which I don't have as I paid in cash. Have reached out to the restaurant and I am waiting to get this resolved. Not speaking the language makes the communication a challenge with the restaurant.

Entering the restaurant we were seated and a large group of Americans entered about 5 minutes after. As we were just getting our drinks, the other group was already receiving their food. They ordered the exact same food as us - the chilaquiles. We complained multiple times to the management and our food eventually arrived, 10 minutes after the group that had enetered after us. Completely unacceptable behaviour on the part of the servers. The family I was with was Mexican and speaking Spanish, and I really do hope that the delay had nothing to do with the language we spoke. We found a hair in the food, and at the end the server asked for more tip. Absolutely unbelievable service coupled with overpriced food means we will never be returning.

The outdoor seating is great. The kitchen is fast so it's good that they weren't limited to their interior space. The food is pretty classic Mexican.

Great place for lunch! Delicious tacos!

Yelp
Found half way down street from main road. Courtyard al fresco dining in front and back and few tables inside. Server was very friendly and swift. No English today, but we made do with our phones and translating to get what we wanted. Extensive menu and all cooked and prepped to order. Our OJ was fresh squeezed. The in sweet tea was refreshing. All dishes were delicious. I had the house made guacomole and fresh tortilla chips. tasty and fresh. Also had three vermilliin taco with cactus and chorizo. The chorizo was VERY spicy. Defiant a burn later. lol! My friends had steak shrimp fajitas. He ate it all very tasty and tender. Chicken skewers were very good. And tender. We enjoyed out lunch today! I'm a Fan!

Yelp
We ordered the arrachera steak and it was incredible - tender and perfectly seasoned with just a whisper of heat. It was served with a sultry garlic in oil and sauteed onions which made it SO good. We ordered grilled veggies on the side, which we piled on the steak plate to swirl in all that flavor. The veggies were perfect (not sad afterthought grilled veggies so often served in the USA). Also - side of beans (highly recommend). We could have shared one entree but we are not sorry that we each finished the whole thing. Ambience is amazing: funky, soulful, casual garden vibes. Soul food.

Yelp
Every single time I've gone to eat at Ten Ten Pie I have loved it! They have a great menu and everything is satisfying and beyond. They have delicious homemade ginger ale made in small batches and delicious cocktails and cold beer. The owner Beatrice even made a Special trip to drop off our meal one night when they were closing. Instead of making us come pick it up she brought it to us! I highly recommend supporting this establishment.

Yelp
We were wandering aimlessly looking for a breakfast place (after seeing the ridiculously long line at Lavanda) and stumbled upon Ten Ten Pie. Breakfast was nothing special but pretty tasty and came out fast. Cappuccino was very good. We sat inside, but there's a really cute outdoor area across the street that looks fun for people watching. we had the omelette and the chilaquiles and both were good

Yelp
I would give it zero stars if I could. The "eggplant parmesan" was inedible: the eggplant (unpeeled) too bitter to eat; the "parmesan" was some greasy, oversalted mess. I took one bite of each, spat out both of them. That is the problem with delivered food: had they served this stuff to me in a restaurant, I would have had the waiter taste it, then take it back and bring me something edible instead. We're being punished for ordering delivered food. So, no dinner for me tonight. And never ever another carry-out from TenTen. We live in San Miguel, and we'll spread the word. $9 US for something that will be dog food -- IF my dogs will eat it. They really aren't used to being served garbage like that, and I hope it won't make them sick.

Yelp
So we all know about COVID-19 and that we must wear Face masks, well event tho the waiters were very nice and wearing a face mask, whom I supposed were the owners, two old men, were inside without a facemask, talking and one of them once SMOKING indoors, which we know is against the law.... For that I'll give 2 stars

Jane A.

Yelp
This is a sweet spot, serving consistently delicious food. Family owned, great menu, friendly staff, lovely shaded tables. Try the verduras a la parilla!

Nathan R.

Yelp
Super super slow service. It took 45 minutes to get two salmon tacos and one club sandwich supposedly be because they make everything from scratch. I would say they're just and prepared and we were the only people there when we arrived at 11:30 AM And this is the second time we were there that took forever a couple weeks ago was the same deal but the food was great this time it was mediocre

Barkle T.

Yelp
This review is for breakfast only. Well-spiced huevos Mexicanos, good pancakes with just the right amount of grease and salt, a bacon order that was generous, excellent coffee. Reasonably priced. Cool artwork. Fast WiFi. It's a small place with good corner location. Across the street there is a little park with tables. Some of the reviews noted poor service. Our breakfast waitress was on the ball.

Julie D.

Yelp
Very disappointed with everything about this place. The service was sub par and the food was even worse. With so many fantastic places to eat in San Miguel one has to wonder how this place is still open. The chips were soaking in grease YUCK, and the prices are not worth it at all. I had a shrimp taco for 45 pesos that was 2 little shrimp, a tiny slice of avocado and that's all. Much much better places to eat in San Miguel.

Cara P.

Yelp
We got to sit outside. Service wasn't super fast but we were not in a hurry so it was fine. Food was good. I got garlic fish- my husband got shrimp and steak tacos - delicious.

Ceslie R.

Yelp
Once we discovered this place we returned every day for the Julieta Chefs Special. Really great dish, tender steak And everything else we tried was also delicious and healthy. Also fantastic margaritas. Its ambiance is cozy, its open late and the manager is also very friendly.

Jana K.

Yelp
Corner outdoor restaurant in a great location that allows dogs. Service was fine but food awful. Salmon tacos had no taste. The Special chicken dish with a name that escapes me had a weird flavor and was unappetizing in appearance. The grilled tilapia tasted old and the creamed potatoes were odd. Too bad as the location is excellent.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
The ambiance is wonderful. We had breakfast on the patio. The coffee is individually pressed and really good. Thank the food was delicious. Their omelettes are stuffed with ingredients. Would definitely come back.

Andy S.

Yelp
The location is worth 3-stars, but that is about it. The service was very slow, and they seemed to be out of half the menu. By the time we wanted the bill, it was quite the process to get paid up. If you are lucky enough to get an outside table, and just want a drink or two, paid with cash, this place should work great. If you want food, the city has lots of options.

Fernanda F.

Yelp
This restaurant wasn't that great, the food was average; not as tasty and not as good looking, the prices were really high for what we got. The boss was also there yelling at all the waiters and It was a little bit uncomfortable and rude. I definitely will not come back.

Laura L.

Yelp
The food was ok. Fish tacos and a burger. Cocktails are small. Waiters not very attentive. Interesting place to people watch. My son ordered a hamburger with only cheese and got a hamburger with everything but cheese! Some waiters here do not speak English.

roberta h.

Yelp
Casual restaurant. The drinks are very good, but food is so so. For dinner we both ordered grilled fish entrees. Hubby's was okay, but my grilled tuna was grey on the outside and terribly chewy! I sent it back and ordered guacamole which was very good and large portion. FYI, in San Miguel, if you send bad food back, the don't take it off the check

Meadow W.

Yelp
We visited Ten Ten Pie twice on our last trip to San Miquel. Both times our group ordered a molcajete, and then branched out on a few other items. Molcajete was amazing both times. Hamburger was great the first time, and terrible the second. Everything else that was ordered were pretty decent both times. Margarita was amazing the first time, way too salty (seriously, there was a salt mountain at the bottom of my glass the second). I still give them four stars, I think the second visit was a fluke. I am glad we have had good experiences in the past, to make up for it.

Gail S.

Yelp
The location is very good but the food and service were well below par. Most disappointing. We ordered fish tacos and they consisted of three hunks of fish with ZERO seasonings slapped in a a warm tortilla. For this we waited 35 minutes. We also ordered an appetizer but it arrived after the entrée and only after repeated requests. Again, most disappointing

Rita C.

Yelp
Too many great restaurants to go to in San Miguel to waste your time here. Dry fish taco and sub par chicken chimichunga. Positive is outdoor seating on a corner in Centro. Spend a little extra money and go to The Restaurant or a lot more and go to Zumo instead.

Beyazit E.

Yelp
Amazing place with an outside seating area. Service is not very fast but it is worth it for the taste of some delicious guacamole. We had some lemonade and its bitterness and sweetness was just right. The prices are not high and great for some lunch for the taste of the food. Highly recommended. One thing, the place is small. It is more like a corner bistro/bar than a large restaurant establishment.

Yelp
Ate lunch here today with a friend. Had a nice cold Negra Modelo under the shade of an umbrella on their outside patio and some conchinita pibil tacos - really good ones. My friend had their Caribbean salad and it looked really good with pineapple, raisins, and some other yummy fruits and veggies over nice greens. The cheese they put on top was pretty bland my friend said (called panela, I think). Friendly service and pretty laid back - I will go back the next time I am near the center of town. Also, this place has free wi-fi.

Yelp
We stopped Ten Ten Pie for a light dinner the other night. The positives - nice outdoor dining, a great place to watch the street scene. And great entertainment by a talented piano player. The staff was friendly and attentive. So 2 stars for the ambiance. The negatives - the food. My husband had the flautas which he described as "tasteless". I had the fish with garlic. They said it was sea bass. It had a funny taste, which I would describe as tasting like dirt. The underside was tough, I was unable to cut it with a fork. Also the wait time for the food was unusually long. This place may be fine for a beer and light snack, but we were disappointed. Will not go back.

Yelp
Visited here for breakfast twice this week. Always consistently good. Great location near the jardin. Seating outside so you can enjoy the weather and people watching.

Neal C.

Yelp
Great corner spot for people watching and eating delicious food. Order some drinks, get a guacamole for an appetizer, and share a molcajete for an entree and all will be good in the world. Solid place and hard to go wrong.

Debra H.

Yelp
The prices are good. It is nice to sit outside and people watch. The steak and shrimp tacos are delicious. The staff is American friendly.

Alison B.

Yelp
Very nice option with a small indoor café and outdoor seating at the corner of the church. Wide range of options as far as food and cost. Great selection of tacos. Open late which is a plus. loved the mar y terra taco. Make sure you ask for some pico de Gallo salsa.

Yelp
This was the first restaurant I ever went to in San Miguel. I like their milanesa de pollo. Price is right for chicken, rice, and salad. I like the location, but you might not because it can be noisy with all the traffic, and then there is the exhaust. My biggest disappointment is the service. Something changed. It now has a hostess it doesn't need and who, without fail, gets my simple drink order wrong. Then it has about four servers for the patio, about twice as many as needed. All extremely slow. I'm talking a half hour to get food to the table when you know what you want when you sit down. And almost completely lacking in pleasantries. Do not follow up on requests, like water or the bill without prompting but...have plenty of time to read their text messages on their phones, chat with passersby, etc. Best experienced waitress stuck inside. So bad, I rarely go when I used to go frequently.
