Visiting the Ten Thousand Buddhas Sarira Stupa near Niagara Falls felt like stepping into a serene, sacred world. The towering statues are awe-inspiring, each one beautifully crafted, and the entire temple grounds are spotless and peaceful. Walking among them, you can’t help but feel a sense of calm and wonder. What makes it even more special is that it’s completely free to visit—an incredible gift for anyone who loves culture, spirituality, or just a quiet moment. This temple is a hidden gem that’s truly worth seeing.

Free to come.in and explore. Beautiful statues, they were doing maintenance while we were there and the museum was closed so I can't speak on that part. Its small maybe takes 10 minutes to see everything. There is a gift shop and a prayer area if you follow the religion. Even if you are not Buddhist its still a nice place to visit and quiet. Right across the street is another spot to try for a good view of the water

Founded in 1995, the Ten Thousand Buddhas Sarira Stupa stands as a spiritual landmark in the heart of Niagara Falls’ tourist district. Designed in traditional Chinese architectural style, the stupa serves as a sacred site of devotion, meditation, and reverence. Inside the stupa, visitors pay homage to 10,000 Buddhas—each a symbol of infinite compassion and wisdom. The monument also honors the Four Great Bodhisattvas—Avalokitesvara, Ksitigarbha, Manjushri, and Samantabhadra—each representing one of China's four sacred mountains. At its highest level, the stupa enshrines a relic (sarira) of Shakyamuni Buddha, embodying the ideals of enlightenment and peace. Give time to visit this Place, it’s my 2nd time and I love it

Must visit in every visit to the Falls. You will get supreme energy. Ask about the special candle wish and get answers to your questions directly from Buddha himself.

Free to visit the exterior. The main building is currently closed for renovations. The gift store and smaller temple portion is still open. Plenty of free parking. Clean facility. Very spiritual place. Well kept.

This temple is truly one of Niagara Falls’ hidden gems. If you’re visiting the area, it’s a must-see. This serene Chinese Buddhist temple offers a deeply spiritual and peaceful atmosphere. The people inside are warm and welcoming, adding to the overall sense of calm. Recently opened to the public, the temple will soon feature a Stupas Museum as well. There’s plenty of free parking available, and the grounds are adorned with beautiful statues that enhance the tranquil experience. A peaceful retreat and a must-visit destination in Niagara Falls.

Google
I went there and was invited to eat with the monks. Brought my son too at a later date, he was around 8. We walked with monks in prayer and was invited to learn meditation. The place is a temple of peace, the monks a beautiful gift.

Yelp
Nice peaceful place to visit besides the fall. Most people don't know it. I happen to discover and I'm very happy.

Yelp
Good $7 (or more) meals; at noon, on Sundays. A good place to sit / walk.

Yelp
As we come up to the border to cross into Canada: Border Guard: "Where are you two going?" Us: "Just over the bridge to visit a Buddhist temple on River Rd. We plan to be back in a few hours." Border Guard: "That's where all the hot girls hang out, right...the Buddhist temple? Come right in!" ...we weren't too sure about that one, but it must be to fun to be a border guard! As we arrived to the Buddhist temple, we were overwhelmed with its gorgeous Asian architecture. We immediately felt like we were in an another country, with all the Chinese calligraphy as well as the seven story temple-like structure. We stepped in and saw that there was a free tour being given at 11am (it was a Sunday). After waiting for twenty minutes, we embarked on the tour. There were no hot girls, just monks in proper attire, but we enjoyed the tour anyway. It was about forty minutes long and given in a broken English accent. Not to mention, you have to haul your butt up seven flights of stairs throughout the tour, but it's worth it because you get to see the entire temple and where the monks practice! It's something different, but definitely interesting, especially if you're a fan of Asian architecture. (and please forgive my ignorant generalization of Asian architecture..I'm aware there's many different types of it, but I just use the word to paint a picture). Highly recommended to check this place out. You can plan two hours on a Saturday or Sunday and be back to Buffalo by noon.

Yelp
Such a beautiful peaceful place. Just kinda drove by and stopped in without knowing how amazing it is inside. We got a free tour from a monk who is very knowledgable we learned a lot during the short tour. And, of course, just a suggestion we did leave a donation after the tour. And they also have a lot of free pamphlets. Loved and definitely recommend you stop in before heading back home.

Yelp
This is a regal and stately property of Asian architecture. On line suggests it contains precious collections of Buddhist art and artifacts and is tourable on weekends, free. However, there are no signs anywhere welcoming people to do this. The gate was open, I drove through, enjoyed unique views from the car, saw a guy wearing a robe and praying and thought maybe I was invading a private temple. I would have liked to learn more. There is also no literature about this in the hotel brochure stands. It is called a "World Peace" temple but it is missing an opportunity to educate interested tourists by its lacks in public relations.

Yelp
We drove along Niagara Parkway saw this temple, stopped and did a U-turn to go back and explore it. So the address says this is on River Road but this road seems to be a short stretch within Niagara Parkway. It is quite confusing. Also, most places list it as the Cham Shan Temple, but on yelp it has a different name, which adds to the confusion. Most people travel to see something unique, interesting, different and maybe something to marvel at. This temple hits all of that. You are sure to have a wonderful time here. It was a great surprise find for us. 4.5 stars

Yelp
Awesome, So quiet and tranquil, just sit there and meditate. It's empty in the afternoon, I am here in the winter.

Yelp
Beautiful temple and the structure of it all is breathtakingly precious! I really enjoyed stepping in and in taking all the rich history on the walls of this temple; also, a big shout out to the kind volunteers here who educated us on how Buddha became Buddha (he was originally a Prince...! But I'll stop there and let you find out from the volunteers)! There was a painting on the walls that unfolded the story of the Great Prince and how he became Buddha; it was such an inspiration!!! I wanted to take a picture of it but unfortunately, there are absolutely NO PICTURES in the temple; pictures outside are alright. There is parking here and it's right next to souvenir city - how convenient.

Yelp
Beautiful and spacious temple. I came in March and there was no one there (still winter season). There were lots of parking but I'm sure it would be packed in the summer. The temple itself has beautiful Asian architecture and large statues of gods. Unfortunately the temple was closed when I visited and I was not able to see the inside of the temple or pray for a good blessing.

Yelp
This place is so amazingly beautiful and peaceful . A must visit !!! We were visiting the falls when we happen to come across this place. The Buddhas were so beautiful I really wish we had more time to attend temple.. This is on my list to visit. Whether you are Buddhist or not it's worth the visit

Yelp
Interesting artwork and religious sculptures. Got the vibe that people had no interest in interacting with us, also no explanation of anything. This is probably a really nice place if you know how everything works/ what things mean, but for an outsider tourist it is not so inviting.

Yelp
Really nice and peaceful temple. They offer vegetarian lunch boxes during weekends. Had a nostalgic feeling and definitely had a nice spiritual moment in there.

Yelp
An appealing (if rather incongruous) sight to see while in Niagara. Even if you're not into Buddhism, it's still worth a visit, Outside there are a numerous Asian-style statues large and small, while inside is a working Buddhist temple as well as open areas for meditating and giving offerings. If you are interested in the Dharma (teachings), booklets, CDs and DVDs are available for free -- two per person -- though donations are appreciated. Tours are available if you're there at the right times. It can be a little disconcerting for outsiders as information isn't really posed on the website or the temple and the monks and volunteers tend to keep to themselves. No pictures or wearing of shoes is permitted in the temple; outside is okay. If you're strong, you can park free across the road and walk the 4km to the falls along the river.
