Google
Tasty tempura chain that makes ordering very easy through a tablet. Batter was a little thick for my liking but soba came out really nice. Very satisfying to eat on a hot day

Very nice tempura and noodle, I ordered the soba noodle and thought would be a small one. Very value for money that cost around 1080 yen! Love it!

Google
Chance upon this tempura don restaurant that we have at home as well. So just had to try it here in Japan. They did not disappoint. In fact, it was better with soba that was not overcooked, the tempura batter was light and crispy. Even the squid was tender, very good for the price of the meal. Happy with the fine.

The decent tendon with affordable price! I had doubt when i came in, since last time i came to the most popular tendon (which cost me above 2,000-3,000 yen) and turned out it disappointing, But then, suddenly when i try tendon tenya, it’s the best meal i had for the price below 1,000 yen! The good thing is you can add the sauce as you like, and it’s very tasty. Will definitely comeback for the next trip!

Staff was kind enough to inform me that I was ordering double for miso soup which was included already in the set meal. Good food specially the chicken tempura. Good price.

There is one vegetarian tempura option here that you can add a soft boiled egg to. Batter is light and thin, without being too oily. Very very yummy and does not feel overwhelming even when eaten on its own without any dipping sauce. We made a little mistake and didn’t realise all sets already come with rice under the tempura. But they were very accommodating and were happy to cancel all our orders of small udon/soba on the side. Seems like a franchise, so definitely worth checking them out for a quick, yummy and affordable meal!!

No queue time when we arrived on weekday 3pm. Self ordering using the pad. Tempue here was delicious. Not oily abd yhin flour layer. Very fresh ingredients. Most importantly, value for money. Very full lunch for 2 persons lesser than 2000 yen. 4 stars

Tendon was awesome, do note their shichimi is a lot more spicier than the ones in places like Yoshinoya. Try first before massing it on your tempura.

Yelp
Came by for lunch the other day and it was a tasty experience. Tempura tendon Tenya is a chain located on the main road in Asakusa. The chain is a no-frills chain offering take-out and dine in with a separate take-out window. There was a small wait before being shown a counter seat. Ordering was done using the tablet at every seat. There were menus in both English and Japanese at each seat. Food arrived shortly after submitting the order. Opted for their seafood tempura don along with a side of udon and pickled vegetables. Their seafood tempura included scallop, unagi, and crab leg along with shrimp. The tempura was a touch soggy after a sauce was poured over the tempura. Requested for a small bowl of rice and even that was huge! The regular udon was also huge, should have opted for a small one instead! The miso soup was tasty and the pickled vegetables were a touchy salty. Managed to finish half of my lunch before being too full! There was a small basket at each seat for placing small items. There are numerous set meals for 780-900 yen. ~1650 yen per person for lunch.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quick, casual, inexpensive tempura shop, you've come to the right spot. We swing by for a very early dinner, meaning only 4-5 other people were in the restaurant with us. I ordered the prawn and vegetable set which came with two pieces of shrimp, and 4-5 pieces of vegetables. The set allowed me to choose rice or noodles. I chose rice which then came with miso, pickles, sauce with shredded ginger and daikon on the side and green tea. My husband ordered the vegetable set with a beer. He chose the noodle route and opted for udon over soba, which came with pickles and tea, no miso since he got noodles. He's more of a curry udon man, so this was not at the top of the list for him but I appreciated the simplicity, value, and thought it hit the spot. The only criticism was the lotus root, which was nearly inedible because it was so hard. I couldn't bite through it and had to leave it on the plate. The shrimp was delicious as was the squash. For under 1700 yen, or the equivalent of $12 in October 2023, it was a hell of a bargain and worth it in my mind. The service was impeccable as it always is and was in Japan, regardless if you're paying a dollar or a hundred dollars. They're doing it right.

Yelp
Most memorable tempura! Hungry in Tokyo, found our fill at this chain restaurant. Felt like a "KFC" of tempura - but much tastier. Good crunch to the food and served hot! We didn't speak any Japanese but the staff were so kind to accommodate!

Yelp
Good and pretty affordable tempura. I got the combination with shrimp, squid, and vegetables. Tempura was hot and fresh, a lot of batter but it was good. Note that it comes with the tempura sauce drizzled on the top, so if you don't like sauce or want to keep it from getting soggy, I would recommend asking for the sauce on the side.

Yelp
This is the best Sobu spot in tokyo with a reasonable price and great service. The sobu has great flavor and the batter on the tempura is just great.
