The originate store of ShiroKuma shaving-ice-cream in convenient stores. The milky shaved ice is perfectly sweet. The matcha and sweet bean paste is also very good and well balanced. I recommend baby size for each person and share them among your group if you want to taste different flavors.

Yes, this may not have the wow factor of bingsoo or ice kachang but this is a different type of Japanese shaved ice. I can see that the place is frequented by Japanese and definitely taste the nostalgia. Service is prompt and courteous.

Great service here, although the place looks a little run down. It must be because it's very popular! They have two floors and there's an elevator that can be used. The 'bear' ice slush is refreshing, and I hear it's very popular during the summer. However, although they have many choices, the depth of flavor difference between each shaved ice variation may be indistinguishable except the for different toppings. Quite affordable too. Good place to take kids.

The shop is interesting and decorative. There are multiple bear decorations around the restaurant. The kids will love it! They also seemed to have baby chair. If you go to the second floor, you can to see the passerby from the window while enjoying your dessert. The restaurant is an old fashioned classy setting. Good for families or friends. You can get Shirokuma, parfait and other western food here. The portion for the baby shirokuma was just nice for me. The price range is just right.

If you live in Singapore or Malaysia, you will NOT be impressed. Ice kacang and shaved ice there are better. mujaki is ice with milk and fruit cocktail. And what is up with the PRUNES?! Yuck! Just nothing but sugar or sweeteners. The shop must make tremendous profit. The ingredients used are very baisc. And little. But sells for around 1,000 yen.

Good place to try the original shiro kuma (polar bear) shaved ice. The sizes are pretty big so beware. The photos are baby size portions. Seems that the condensed milk is mixed into the ice before shaving so the taste goes right the way through. That is better than other shops where they just used shaved ice and put the condensed milk on top so after a few bites you are just eating flavourless ice. The katsu sando was pretty good, as you can see in the picture it is a proper piece of meat with fat and flavour in it. The toasted bread was a good match. Decent food, but nothing special. Something to check off the list and say we have been there I guess.

It's got that family restaurant look and vibe, ala doutor, or seizeria, or komeda coffee. I went alone, and got the baby size chocolate, which was still way too much for one person, though I saw many people eating the regular on their own so maybe I'm wrong. Great flavor honestly, and sweet throughout, which feels uncommon for kaki gori / bing su / shaved ice. Still kind of carnival food though haha.

The baby size is very big but you can’t share it. So you have to order your own one despite not finishing it. I wish they made smaller versions or make it at least cheaper. It is very sweet and barely any fruits compared to the picture. It’s alright but I don’t recommend. My table was very sticky and smelly

Yelp
I came to visit this place from USA two weeks ago just to sample this local favorite shaved ice and I was not disappointed. This dish is just as delicious as 52 years ago when I had it last. My sons, whom I came back with agree it is delightful. I can't wait to go back.
