Step Afrika performance was awesome! Typical theater seating. Enjoyed the atmosphere. However in the Polk Theater, if you have seats at the very front of the stage AA-CC, it may be challenging because it sits level to slightly below the stage so for some not so tall it may be challenging to see as the speakers on stage may block view. Perhaps the first row of the main section would be better.

Google
We went here on 1/7/25 for Peter Pan and it was fantastic! The ticket checking process was a bit chaotic, but the valet parking was smooth sailing. Seats were great.

Michael Waters

Google
Love going to tpac. We have been going to broadway series for three years and really enjoy our seats and all the shows. Juliet. Great music and fun play.

Michael A. Brown

Google
First time seeing an actual ballet and it was The Nutcracker (my daughter gifted me with this 😍)! What a great place to experience it. It's a beautiful auditorium with amazing acoustics!!

Kimberly Barrett

Google
I have enjoyed all shows I’ve seen here. Parking isn’t the most convenient but the area surrounding it is safe and busy with people. The staff is always friendly.

Rene Clark

Google
We saw "& Juliet" which was fabulous. Crowd was nice and polite. The ushers are always helpful. The valet parking has gone up $4 again. Wish there was a better price for those with handicaps and those needing walking assistance.

Gary Holt

Google
I was there to see Cirque du Soleil, an amazing show as always and the Tennessee performing arts center is a very beautiful place. The seats were comfortable and the acoustics and view of the stage were just right.

Lacey Gordon

Google
It's huge and so accommodating. I had to ask some questions before I purchased tickets for a show for the family to enjoy, and the staff responded to my emails quickly. The seats we purchased tickets for was perfect since my husband has a service dog. Plenty of room for Hugo and for others to walk by without having to step over him. We loved watching Bluey's Play Date and will definitely keep an eye out for future shows so we can have family time, watch fun shows, and make memories with our girls.

Cody H.

Yelp
& Juliet was incredible. I bought a ticket on a whim and went to the show and it was part show part concert. The writing was incredible as well. This review should probably be for TPAC itself though. The venue is laid out very strange, but once you find your way in everything is nice and the bathrooms are big enough where the lines move quickly. The acoustics are good and the PA sounds balanced. The balconies are set where there's not a ton of overlap so almost every seat will be a good one!

Yelp
If you think Shucked is just about corn, you're wrong. If you think it's about poking fun at the surprisingly accurate hicks living in the sticks stereotypes (know from living it), you're wrong. If you think it's about giving you a syrupy dollop of old fashioned rural values and the virtues of the Puritan work ethic, you're wrong. However, if you think it somehow combines all of these, sprinkles in some corny puns, risqué off-color jokes, inspired storytelling and incredible music performed by a truly exceptional and talented cast - you nailed it. The storyline, centers around a small town's struggle with failing corn crops, and provides the foundation for hilarity and heartfelt moments. The off Broadcast cast delivers in both bringing the script and powerful songs to life. Independently Owned is delivered with such conviction and power by every singer we've seen brings an ovation and is destined to be a signature song for ages. One of the standout aspects of "Shucked" is its clever writing. The script is packed with witty puns and laugh-out-loud jokes that keep you laughing and paying attention as you might miss something. Comedic timing coupled with the music by Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally make this play catchy and emotionally resonant. The production design is equally impressive, with a set that is rustically beautiful as it is simple. Don't miss your chance to see Shucked. It's the flyover states- Hamilton.

Lynndel F.

Yelp
Shucked, at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC), was a memorable experience. The performances were top-notch, with the cast delivering stunning vocals that left a lasting impression. Reba would be proud of them. The musical itself had plenty of humor, and most of the jokes landed well with the audience, providing a fun and light-hearted atmosphere. However, some of the humor veered into adult territory, which might not appeal to everyone, especially those with younger kids in tow. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the energy of the show and the venue made it a worthwhile outing. The refreshments are allowed in the theater.

Holly T.

Yelp
We had a fabulous time here watching the Cirque de Soleil Songblazers show. There are many stars in this production- from the fabulous country singers to the skilled acrobats to the comedic relief. Everyone played their part very well and the audience was engaged. It's enough to whet one's appetite to see a full fledged Cirque show in Vegas- which we have done. The door and seat attendants were helpful, and restrooms are clean. There was one discrepancy we noticed over the loud speaker, regarding whether or not pictures/ videos were allowed. Once you sat down in the theater the opposite was said, so people weren't sure what was or wasn't actually allowed. That's confusing and needs to be fixed. TPAC is a beautiful place to come! Great show tonight!!

Kati C.

Yelp
Seeing the nutcracker tonight which is fantastic . Sugar plum fairies my favorite . However , the seating is tight in this place . I am a peite girl and I am smashing into my seat .. feels like a south west flight . Shared arm rests ... so hot in here . Stuffy .. why the seats so close together? The rows are about 60 seats deep you have to climb over folks to get to your seats ? Valet parking $44! Longgggggggg walk to restrooms .. If you are wondering how to dress in this place , you see everything here. Sequins , cocktail dresses , Walmart Christmas leggings . It's a roll of the dice . I'd say dress business casual comfortable . The ushers are rude as hell ... and the valet parking gets an attitude over tip . I mean it was already $44 ! Parking and traffic are a nightmare ! Think long and hard before you bring little kids ....

Christie B.

Yelp
Always a special evening when attending any show here! The entertainment is tops!! The venue is amazing! Parking is expensive that's why give it 4 stars. My advice is to take a Uber.

Erin J.

Yelp
I love having TPAC here in Nashville. It's a great venue with amazing staff who work hard to bring productions for everyone. This visit I saw Songblazers, a Cirque du Soleil show. While I wasn't sure what to expect as I have seen almost every Cirque show in Vegas, this was a nice pleasant surprise. Very Nashville-esque, it was cute and fun. Very family friendly. With music from Kacey Musgraves to Patsy Cline to Chris Stapleton, there's something for everyone.

Rachel L.

Yelp
I never thought I was a musical kinda gal until I started seeing musicals at TPAC. I think I've seen at least 4 now, that I loved, so can't say that anymore... They pick the best to showcase. The venue is brilliant! Not a bad seat in the house and staff is so kind. Everything is extremely well organized for getting people in seats and making sure the show goes on as it should. Highly recommend you never valet park, as the line looks absolutely ominous. Long and never-ending! This season is the best yet -- Wicked was stellar. Can't wait for Mrs Doubtfire, TINA, Annie, Funny Girl. This place has opened my eyes to something I didn't think I liked, thank you so much. Can't wait to see all the things you bring to Nashville.

Donta' K.

Yelp
Great experience good seating and fantastic atmosphere. They have multiple concession stand/bars. Which is great cause it does get crowded

Mike V.

Yelp
I have been wanting to see Shen Yun for a number of years now and finally got to see it a few days ago at TPAC. It was a very beautiful show, with gorgeous costumes and dance and was narrated in both English and Chinese between performances. I enjoyed it though it was pretty long and not like a musical, comedy, or drama like I had expected, but that is my fault. I had a hard time staying awake on a Friday evening after a long long week. I guess, I'm just not as cultured as most...lol. I would definitely recommend seeing it if you enjoy dance, beautiful costumes and want to create your own story in your head since there is no dialogue.

Jared M.

Yelp
This was our second time here - and it did not disappoint! The venue has an interesting layout through the entrance, but the staff helps it stay as organized as one could. The auditorium is nice - sound carries well, and the lighting is good as well. My only major quirks about this place is the continual seating all the way from end to end, with no good way to step out without walking over 30-40 people. Will definitely be back to support shows here in the future!

Heather J.

Yelp
We went to TPAC for the first time and I was super excited because I've seen so many advertisements for shows that I want to see showing there. My personal experience wasn't awesome and I'm not sure I'm in a rush to go back. First, there was a $16 "handling" fee on a digital ticket. Secondly, the prices for alcohol were outrageous. I'm sure they do it to prevent people from being over served, but $25 for a double pour of wine is more than what most of their selection retails for in the store. Lastly, our seats were SO small....Nissan Stadium has roomier seats in the nosebleeds than these seats. We were in Polk theatre in the last row of the orchestra so maybe it was just our seat? I felt stuck because in order for anyone to leave the row, everyone truly had to stand up - no shuffling past. Overall, it was a fine experience but I'm in no rush to return.

Kseniya K.

Yelp
Spacious, modern, and welcoming performing arts center. I was worried about not being able to see from the balcony, but I have to agree with previous reviewers that there really is no bad seat in the theater. Nothing is obstructing your view even when you're all the way up. Seats are actually comfortable and not too small. Buy tickets at the box office to avoid ludicrous online purchase fees, which add up, especially if you're buying multiple tickets or expensive tickets. Pretty Woman was a fun show to watch. Positive, light, and uplifting. Bring a jacket--it gets cold inside the theater once the show starts.

Catherine T.

Yelp
Love TPAC. Saw the Nashville Ballet perform Romeo & Juliet with the Nashville Symphony. Fantastic show. Plenty of parking options. Venue was easy to navigate. Staff was very friendly. A good amount of bathrooms. A nice place to see a show in the heart of downtown Nashville.

Christina W.

Yelp
First off, Hamilton was AMAZING! The performers sounded beautiful and it really is worth all the hype. The set does not change much, but the performers and the crew make everything come to life. The musicians were also fabulous. I would definitely see this musical again. I got the cheapest seats I could buy, and still has a great view from the top of the balcony. The seats are soft, and have a decent amount of legroom. There isn't a bad seat in the house. I only gave it 4 stars because for the few plays I have seen, it always seems a bit chaotic before you get to your seats. Crowd management is a little messy, and the bathrooms could use an update. Overall still a nice Broadway theater.

Zach S.

Yelp
TPAC is a beautiful opportunity to support the arts in middle tennessee. Nashville Rep season and Broadway touring season allow for audiences to see a wide variety of productions in a variety of theatre spaces. There are three traditional theaters housed at TPAC ranging from the nearly 2,500 seat main stage to the flexible black box downstairs. I have attended shows here since I was a child, and none ever seem to disappoint. They have a large venue, great concessions, and merchandise for most shows. Recently, we purchased tickets for the remaining season. However, I was asked to attend a theatre education workshop in another state and needed to move my tickets from Saturday to Sunday. Since our tickets were purchased during a holiday weekend sale, we were up charged $40 upon calling. The discount was not observed. There was also a $6 fee PER TICKET for transferring one day over. The staff and ushers are usually not the friendliest; however, the venue, productions, and arts opportunities are unmatched in the area. Visit TPAC and support the arts today!

Arlene W.

Yelp
ALWAYS have the kindest, most polite employees from the minute you drop your vehicle with Valet to the Ushers assisting you to your seats and everyone in between. Every production I've seen here over the years has been phenomenal! Now the seats, not really made for us bigger/taller folks, but you forget after the show starts! And the new Valet system is TERRIFIC! Extremely easy to work with. We didn't even wait 2 minutes before the car was brought to us! Thank you for always providing a wonderful experience!

Ray R.

Yelp
This was my first visit here, and my family and I were here to see "Piff the MagiC Dragon" The place is clean and have a lot of theaters inside and no shortage of drinks or snacks. Seating is comfortable and just a overall good place to see a show with an intimate feeling.

Dayana V.

Yelp
Came here for a concert with a friend. I had never been and didn't really know what to expect of the venue. I really wanna come back for a play. It was nice to just walk into the venue without a ton of security harping down your throat. Nice venue for the music at hand. Could see myself coming back

Sondra S.

Yelp
TPAC price for Broadway shows is UNBELIEVABLE! Tried to get tickets for Wicked and prices $200 to over $450. Plus "fees"! With that price only the ELITE can seethe show. I have seen Broadway shows in NYC, PHILA, PHX & never have seen prices this high. This is gouging plan and simple. SHAME ON YOU ALL !

Ashlee L.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible customer service. Got last minute word that my husband is deploying and now he is unable to take my daughter to the show, I asked for a refund since my friend received one and they told me DEPLOYMENT wasn't a reason for a refund. They asked to me to provide the name of my friend who received her money back (as if I was lying) once I provided the name they took DAYS to reply to me. Only to receive a email saying it still wasn't a good enough reason. I will never be purchasing tickets from them again and I'll make sure to let my local military friends know that they don't give a crap lol.

Keith B.

Yelp
Attended a performance by Marc Maron. Very nice venue. Great seating, anywhere in the house. Friendly staff and very helpful. Would definitely go back for the right performances.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Just a little frustrated with this season. I have had season tickets for many years. In 2020 half the season was canceled along with all of 2021 due to Covid. I was offered the choice of a refund or credit for the following season. Covid made a lot of things out of their control. I can understand and be completely patient with that. However, the 2021/2022 season had 2 shows that were a repeat from the 2019/2020 season (Come from Away & Dear Evan Hansen). Would have rather had something new. Since everything was canceled since 2020 it was just a repeat. In addition they brought the musical Oklahoma "reimagined" that was a major disappointment. "Rodgers and Hammerstein" music was great but the re-invented storyline and interpretation was a terrible. Looking forward to 2022/2023 season shows but I doubt I will purchase a full season.

Terry V.

Yelp
I've been to countless performances here from Schitt's Creek to SpongeBob The Musical (which was hilarious and worth going to). Year after year, TPAC has worked hard to bring the best to Nashville and we are so fortunate. TPAC is currently showing Hamilton! Hamilton! Go now and try to snag some tickets. The ushers are helpful. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They snacks are standard for a show and the bar is ready to serve you a single or double. I recommend coming here for any performance. They provide such a variety that you can't go wrong. Valet is $30 and plan to wait after the show. Pre pay though to save yourself a little time.

Tabitha W.

Yelp
Lion king. Great show. I appreciate that they make sure no one uses their phone and that they keep their mask on.

Mellissa M.

Yelp
My friend, who has two seats here for the Broadway show series, graciously invited me to a production of The Band's Visit. I was happy to see that TPAC is requiring proof of vaccination (or negative COVID test) and despite this, the staff got everyone checked quickly with no line. If you live in Nashville, I recommend Ubering as pickup & drop off were painless. The theatre has a couple of bars where you can purchase snacks, wine, beer, or even cocktails. Prices were not any higher than one should expect at an event center. The ushers are extremely helpful & eager to point patrons in the right direction of restrooms or their assigned seats. The theatre has great acoustics, visuals, and the layout is conducive to having a good view of the show.

Jody C.

Yelp
Wow. What a venue. Got to see Nick Cave perform an "In Conversation" evening. It was a singular experience, only enhanced by the intimacy of the James K. Polk theater! The stage was perfect for an event like this, where Cave could actually walk out into the audience, and be with the crowd. The sound was pitch perfect, which is key for such a smaller show like this. Would love to see other performances there. I'm sure that seeing symphonies, ballets, and lighter fare would be just as wonderful. The only reason I knocked off a star was that it was pretty warm within. I noticed quite a few around me with fans. I reckon they were regulars who knew better.

Casper D.

Yelp
A beautiful venue. It was a stellar place and everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the performance and the lobby was very nice too.

Dan Z.

Yelp
The Good: very nice venue; three separate auditoriums; multiple food and beverage options in multiple locations; friendly and helpful staff; easy access; comfortable padded seating. The Bad: Parking options are limited. For accessible parking; just a few spaces down the road a bit and all were taken more than an hour before showtime. They do have paid valet parking but the thought of waiting for a car afterwards drove us to park a couple blocks away for $34. The Rest: overall a really great experience. I'm glad we went and look forward to the next event.

Alexis B.

Yelp
September was my fourth month living in Nashville, and in one week, I made it to TPAC THREE TIMES! Seriously. I went to a live taping of NPR's Ask Me Another at War Memorial Auditorium (a TPAC event), a production of the musical "Evita," and a production of the ballet "Cinderella." All of the events were amazing, and I feel pretty lucky to live in a city that has such an amazing arts and culture center right downtown! The theaters are beautiful (there several theaters contained with TPAC, often with performances at the same time - Evita and Cinderella overlapped both nights I was at TPAC). Perfectly elevated seats for short girls like me! Comfortable seats, simple decor, good acoustics. Something new for me: they let you take your drinks INTO the theaters. I guzzled my glass of wine (which was kind of expensive, but are you surprised? I wasn't) during the intermission, because I'm used to theaters where liquids aren't allowed back in, only to find out that I could have sipped it classily in my seat rather than treating it like a shot of wine in the lobby. Oops. Now I know (I got a "double" of white wine at the performance of Cinderella and drank it in my seat slowly like a lady). Right downtown, just across from the Hermitage Hotel. My goal next time is to have a drink in the fancy bar in the hotel and then walk over for the performance. Parking can be difficult/expensive. TPAC has valet, and there are lots and garages all around. It's really up to your preference and cheapness. I'm more of a park a couple of blocks away and walk kind of a girl (except in summer, hello valet driver). TPAC has amazing events - ballets, musicals, plays. Nashville has everything, and TPAC has some of the city's most amazing shows! I had a great time at all three of the events I went to that were put on by TPAC, and I know I'll be back. Sound of Music? Rent? The Book of Mormon? All this upcoming season. I'll be there for at least one! I know it!

Rebekah S.

Yelp
Romeo and Juliet performed by the Nashville Ballet, was amazing! Beautiful performance and amazing costumes. Would highly recommend!

Paul R.

Yelp
TPAC is a world-class venue in the heart of Music City. Prior to the COVID shutdown I had the privilege of experiencing several outstanding shows, including a performance of Phantom of the Opera which was as good as (if not better than) the two performances of the show that I have seen in NYC as well as the original-cast production in London! Can't wait to get back for another show soon!

Sarah B.

Yelp
We took the kids to see Bluey. After scanning our tickets, we went to find our seats and were instructed to go back to the box office due to an issue with our seats. We again waited in line and were told they made a mistake and rows A&B were not available. We were reseated in row Z. The kids couldn't see because the last row is not elevated. We asked management if it would be possible for those of us affected by the error to meet Bluey (a puppet). When we left, we asked again if it would be possible to meet Bluey because that would make the experience memorable for our kids since they couldn't see the show well. The little girl next to us had poor vision and that's why her mom bought the row B seats initially. The least they could have done is let the kids meet Bluey (a puppet). They did issue refunds.

Yelp
The Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) hosts some really great events, musicals, the Nashville ballet and opera, conferences, comedy shows and more. The Center houses multiple theaters with varying capacities. The main lobby connect is clean and spacious. There is a snack bar and also several bar areas to purchase beer, wine and even some mixed drinks. There are multiple entrances as well so that you can access the building from either street you are on since the building is so large. There are also several restrooms and the facilities are all clean as well. In the past year that I've been living in Nashville I've been able to visit twice so far (and bought tickets for a third that unfortunately I couldn't make it to). I went to the 2017 TedX Conference in the Andrew Jackson Hall and the Banff Film Festival hosted by Climb Nashville in the James K. Polk Theater. I would highly recommend going to either of these events if they ever return to the TPAC. The TedX Conference was two days of amazing Ted talks, some even from Nashville locals like Vanderbilt professors, radio talk show host Bobby Bones and celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan. The Andrew Jackson Hall is beautiful and well-kept. The Banff Film Festival originated in Banff, Canada and travels around the U.S. hosting short films that were submitted to the festivals all with the themes of outdoor sports and recreation. Even if you aren't so much interested in traditional performing arts like ballet or opera they have so many cool things that would really interest anyone (unless you don't like to leave your house). I look forward to seeing what they have here and I think it's one of the highlights of the Nashville cultural scene.

Denise S.

Yelp
I almost just got SCAMMED by going to the website link that is listed here for the Tennessee performing arts center. It is listed as something like tennesseepac.com. But BEWARE, that is incorrect. The correct website is tpac.org. This mistake almost caused me to purchase very expensive tickets to the Hamilton show from a scam site. At least, that's what the ticket agent told me when I called them directly. YELP CUSTOMER SERVICE: please don't complain to me that I've handled this incorrectly. I read your lengthy info on submitting a change and tried to go to your website and put in this information to correct the website but it would not bring up this location. Twenty minutes later I gave up and just decided to put in this review.

Aaron B.

Yelp
Sunday night's performance of The Lion King was plagued by a poor sound mix, awkward youth performers, and no less than 3 technical glitches that required the show to be paused for repair. I don't want to sound like a home-proud country rube theatre patron, but I've seen the best of what theatre has to offer, all over the US, and I've never before experienced multiple pause-the-show issues that did not involve an unfortunate injury of a cast member. Actually, as I think about it, theatre performers are so tough that they are known to continue without pause, fighting through broken ribs and worse so that the show can proceed. This wasn't a Wicked failure to fly; this was extra 20 minute intermissions with no communication to the audience except "please stay in your seats, there is no fire". TPAC is in Music City USA, and it's a world class theatre space. My home town pride makes it difficult to accept that this was an issue with the venue. If anyone has gossip about what happened, or knows if this is a regular snafoo for this touring company, I would love to hear. Not to be gauche, but we hillbillies pay above and beyond Broadway prices for these "Broadway" shows, and we deserve Broadway professionalism from everyone involved. And an explanation at the least. It's hard to empathize with silence.

Kaeleigh M.

Yelp
I've been to the TPAC several times now and each time has been a good experience. I feel like the James K Polk theatre really needs to be updated/renovated because the upper tier is frequently warm and isn't accessible at all. The only way to get up there is by using the stairs, which is fine and all, but I didn't see this mentioned either of the times I've purchased tickets in that area. So if you need accessible seating make sure to spend extra money to sit on the first level and avoid the upper tier. Other than accessibility and AC problems upstairs, it's otherwise a very nice place to go for a show. All of the staff have always been nice and helpful when we've visited.

Denny K.

Yelp
TPAC is located in the James K. Polk Cultural Center which houses a myriad of event venues including the Tennessee State Museum and Andrew Jackson Hall--the place where I spent an evening recently. I had the opportunity to visit and see - hear "Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage" a live, retrospective film and music performance. The show featured selected clips from 50 years of Star Trek episodes and feature films while accompanied by a full orchestra. (In this particular small venue, it was a well-balanced half orchestra of about 50 performers.) "Beam me up Mr Scott" in this instance meant beaming a high definition video onto a 40-foot wide screen behind the orchestra. The players were very dimly lit and did not distract from the video. In addition, the orchestra was hidden in part by a pseudo reconstruction of the bridge of the Enterprise. The concert featured many familiar tunes written for franchise favorites such as Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek: Insurrection, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and much more. A VIP pass (for an additional cost) afforded us the chance to go onstage during the afternoon (before the performance) and be present for the sound check as well as meet the conductor. Pretty cool event. I realize this does not cover much of TPAC...but that will come after future visits.

Kramer H.

Yelp
What I love is that they go out of their way to not use Ticketmaster and make you download their own app only to STILL hit you with a handling fee for absolutely no reason. It's all digital. Why am I paying a $30 "handling fee" on top of my ticket. These multimillionaire owners always have to be greedy.

Coti H.

Yelp
I have been coming to most plays at TPAC for several years now and I realize that we are so blessed to have this in Nashville. I love that it's easy to get in and out whether you want to valet park or park nearby. I also really appreciate the options for concessions there. From wine to sodas to popcorn and candy there's really some things for everyone. They even have a pop-up with wine that's a little nicer! The staff at TPAC is amazing and I'm always excited to spend a night here.

Susan P.

Yelp
Visited with my disabled sister. We had front row seats and back stage passes for an event. Venue is NOT accessible and the staff told us to sit in the back with the rest of the patrons in wheelchairs. Do not recommend!

Brad C.

Yelp
TPAC is a great venue, not a bad seat in the house. However, this review is about the staff. My wife & I were there for a show this weekend when she suddenly fell ill right before the show started. The staff was quick to offer assistance when they noticed us sitting at a table to the side. Management was notified and Ira came to check on her. Within 30 minutes or so, she was well enough to enter the show but we were still concerned about being able to leave in the event of another episode. Ira arranged for us to relocate to seats closer to an exit and within a few feet of a restroom. They were certainly under no obligation to do so; it was refreshing to see good old fashion customer service & genuine concern. I regret not writing down the names of the staff that came to our assistance, but Ira knows. I can't say enough good things about Ira & his team; keep up the good work guys.

Yelp
We went to see Paw Patrol Live on our first visit to the Tennessee Performing Arts. The theater was a lot bigger than we had expected it to be. My wife and I grew up in NY and attended many Broadway shows and this theater definitely rivals a Broadway theater in size and spectacle. The volunteer staff at the venue were all very friendly during our visit and they made sure that our kids had a wonderful time. We look forward to attending future shows at TPAC for years to come.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Had a wonderful opportunity to see Wicked recently and my goddaughter was playing the lead role of Elphaba, so it was extra special to me. We had Orchestra center seats in the 7th row. They were awesome seats, though it looks like there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Loved that there was a bar area where we were too. Valet parking was a godsend and worth every penny. The bathrooms were nice, though one that I went in to was out of paper towels. This is a lovely theater and I hope to see more shows here. It's not too big of a theater and the seats were actually very comfortable and much roomier than some theaters I've been in. We even got a backstage tour and it was so cool to see the dolly systems and how everything works behind the scenes.

Yelp
Employee Jacob and manager Jeremy was AWESOME! I bought my ticket through a third party vendor, and they did not offer handicap accessible tickets. When I arrived, I told them of my situation and helped me right away. Their smiles and words of comfort was well needed that day. I thank them for being genuine people.

Yelp
We saw Disney's Broadway tour of The Lion King in the Jackson Hall at the TPAC and couldn't have been more thrilled with our experience. The venue is a little on the older side and perhaps a bit small, but I felt like every seat in the house (regardless of the ticket price) would have a great view of the show. The attendants were helpful and made sure everyone was where they needed to be. We were ushered into our seat in a calm organized fashion. We sat in the left side box with a spectacular view of the stage and he performers. Parking was a bit of a headache, but we definitely plan on returning to the TPAC again - perhaps next time to see Beauty and the Beast!

Yelp
The show, Ain't too proud, was very good. The venue is on par with most high school auditoriums. It is outdated, opened in the 80's and I'm not sure what style they were going for - "early, mid-century, industrial, eclectic, modern, warehouse". is my best guess. Literally the ugliest theater I have ever been in. There were two, false, smoke alarms during the show. The first of which caused an evacuation until there was an all clear - absolutely no instruction other than "evacuate the building" - at least we got to hang out with the cast and crew, so there is that. 45 minutes later we are all back at the show and then intermission happens. No announcement, at all, just intermission, the show stopped and everyone in the audience started looking around like. "is it over". The show starts back up and there is a 2nd, false, smoke alarm followed my an announcement that the show would not go on. That is it, the night was over. In addition, the bathroom that I was able to locate was a single stalled and unisex, with a VERY long line. As a venue I would absolutely say find somewhere else to spend your money.

Yelp
We went to TPAC for the very first time on January 11, 2018 to see JERSEY BOYS. The show itself was TERRIFIC!! The venue, left a lot to be desired. First of all, it was rather warm in the lobby, but I attributed it to all of the people walking around. Once inside, it was actually hot. My husband spoke to the box office about it and they told him they had not turned the air on that day. January 11th was 67 degrees at 7pm, plus that many people in a theater and no air conditioning??!! Everyone around us was fanning themselves with their programs, it grew warmer and you began to smell perspiration, cologne, beer and frankly it was DISGUSTING. The woman next to me had to leave her seat and go stand all the way in the back because she thought she was going to vomit from the heat and smells. My husband said he would not return because the smell of beer was gross. This is NOT what I expected from this venue after having paid $100 per ticket including fees. Second, I have never been to a Theater where drinks and food are allowed inside the theater. I was shocked at how sticky and dirty the floors were when locating our seats. Plus my seat looked like some kind of liquid had been spilled on it and left to dry. By the time we left the theater, there were cups, wrappers, napkins. etc. littering the floor. Terrible. Again, the show was AWESOME but very, very disappointed in the Venue.

Yelp
I've not seen an actual play at TPAC but the set-up looks like it is a great venue for that and there are few if any bad seats in the house. My wife and I recently saw a rock concert here and for the type of show that it was--theatrical, engaging but not in need of huge audience participation movement (dancing, moshing, etc.)--this was a solid venue. We were near the front and had a great view but I could see that those behind us and up in the balcony likely all had a solid view. Valet parking here is not too pricey ($25) considering you'd spend that or more in most of the parking garages in the area on a typical evening and this way you don't have to trek through one in the middle of the night. Concessions looked okay but pricey (though not more than say Bridgestone). For a rock show this place was a bit disorganized--we lined up in several separate lines only to find out that none were ours (a general purpose ticket-holding line is what we needed, seemed like it'd be the easiest to find). Performance time listed on the tickets was actually the time they planned to open the doors to the theater room and it wasn't until that point that we were even told which line to get in.
