Amazing customer service! Everyone here was so nice and helpful. They even booked our tours and held dinner for us after our night tour. Dinner was very good and was a great price. There are so many beautiful birds here such as Tucans and humming birds. As well as bright blue birds, parrots and countless others I do not know the names of. The rooms are so roomy and the large panoramic windows make this place a real treat. Beds and pillows are very comfortable and the shower large and open. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone coming to this area.

This is a lovely privately owned lodge. The individual cabins have huge glass windows along one side. There are feeding stations to encourage the birds close to the restaurant deck. There are also Tapir that regularly pass through the grounds in the evening which was really special. I wish we'd stayed longer than 2 nights. Thanks to Christine and her staff for a memorable stay.

Great rooms with large windows in the rainforest, we have seen many animals around the lodge. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Good breakfast with fresh fruit and eggs. The manager Nana is the best, she is so dedicated, guest, sustainability, eco, all with love and passion. We loved our stay very very much, thank you!

Absolutely loved this hotel the food was the best so far in Costa Rica. |Our lodge was very large, lots of light and comfortable, plenty of hot water for the shower, a good outdoor space and seating in the room. |We were so impressed on our arrival by the welcome and information in fact all of the staff and the owner were exceptional. They care deeply for the environment and wildlife, watching the birds and animals from the lodge and restaurant is very special. |We did not have a car but the staff can give you plenty of ideas for trips and will arrange a taxi as well. We visited the green lagoon and did a walk and boat trip which was really good we also had an organised trip to Rio Celeste which is super. |Highly recommend a stay here.

I loved the rooms. Spread out with lots of space in a large garden, the rooms are fully glass on one side, which allows light to enter and gives a content feeling of spaciousness. There is loving attention to a lot of details. You look forward to spending time in the room and the hotel, the ultimate yardstick for a hotel in my opinion. There was a jacuzzi on the property too.||Then the lady that manages the hotel (apologies, I forgot her name) shows incredible passion for the place, attracting birds and animals which make for a peaceful "show". We were there for Christmas - served with a very nice meal - and they provided everyone with a small gift, another very personal touch.|I definitely recommend the Tenorio Lodge for families or couples exploring the area.

Top 5 things about Tenorio Lodge.|1. The location.|2. The view.|3. The wildlife.|4. The staff.|5. The room.||Stop looking for a place to stay in the Tenorio/Bijagua region and book a room here. You get a private bungalow all to yourself. It overlooks the Tenorio volcano. You are in a great rainforest area. We saw more wildlife on the property than most people saw on paid tours in the area. 10 monkeys came roaming in one day. Each evening one Tepir shows up, and we have seen 4 different ones. An Opossum. Loads of different birds. A racoon. A sloth hanging in a tree behind our room. The included breakfast is great. Dinner is good when you can't be bothered to find somewhere else to eat. Sit on the deck of the lodge and let nature come to you. The owners love what they do and it shows.

Excellent place for a few nights. Within an hour of checking in we'd seen sloths, howler monkeys, a tapir toucans and more birds than you could put a name to. Who needs a wildlife hike when you can sit on the terrace with a beer and they come to you! The staff are excellent and food great. Do bring your earplugs as the monkeys do like an early start.
