Tenorio Lodge

Very cute little lodge with a spectacular amount of animals around - thanks to the owner and her caring and feeding them. Got to see many animals: tucans, colibiri, tapir, etc. Rooms a little outdated, but that’s okay. Breakfast was very good. Dinner options also well tasting. Service on point. We did Bijagua spontaneously and we wished we had a little more support on what to do besides the typical tourist attractions. But all in all it was good. Thanks for having us - would recommend and come back.

Wonderful property overflowing with wildlife . Attentive helpful staff. Views of the volcano . Closely situated to the national park. |We had a room looking on to th forest behind the property and th mk lets came to entertain us each afternoon. The property owner put out fruit regularly and the animals we saw were amazing . We literally bumped into a mother tapir and her baby walking in for supper. Thank you Tenorio Lodge! What a special place! We saw many animals and beautiful birds. Our bungalow was nestled beautifully in the forest - so pretty and peaceful. The food was delicious and our hosts were so kind and knowledgeable. We won’t forget you! Thank you!

Very nice hotel with private bungalows including a nice view on the lush vegetation. The lodge itself is very clean and the garden well maintained. Onsite we saw many monkeys, toucans, colibris and sloths.

A very nice and familiar hotel with an animal-loving hostess at the helm. We really appreciated the opportunity to see a variety of animals up close. Friendly staff and good, well-prepared food.

Absolutely loved this hotel the food was the best so far in Costa Rica. |Our lodge was very large, lots of light and comfortable, plenty of hot water for the shower, a good outdoor space and seating in the room. |We were so impressed on our arrival by the welcome and information in fact all of the staff and the owner were exceptional. They care deeply for the environment and wildlife, watching the birds and animals from the lodge and restaurant is very special. |We did not have a car but the staff can give you plenty of ideas for trips and will arrange a taxi as well. We visited the green lagoon and did a walk and boat trip which was really good we also had an organised trip to Rio Celeste which is super. |Highly recommend a stay here.

I loved the rooms. Spread out with lots of space in a large garden, the rooms are fully glass on one side, which allows light to enter and gives a content feeling of spaciousness. There is loving attention to a lot of details. You look forward to spending time in the room and the hotel, the ultimate yardstick for a hotel in my opinion. There was a jacuzzi on the property too.||Then the lady that manages the hotel (apologies, I forgot her name) shows incredible passion for the place, attracting birds and animals which make for a peaceful "show". We were there for Christmas - served with a very nice meal - and they provided everyone with a small gift, another very personal touch.|I definitely recommend the Tenorio Lodge for families or couples exploring the area.
