The Best Tuscan Wineries to Visit Near Florence, Italy

"A revitalized Panzano estate in the Conca d’Oro valley, purchased and renovated beginning in 2015, this project combines ambitious viticulture—planting Sangiovese, Colorino, Ciliegiolo and international varieties—with a strong commitment to contemporary art through a partnership with Galleria Continua. The property’s “Il Vino dell'Arte” space functions as both gallery and tasting venue (including a permanent Pascale Marthine Tayou installation) and offers stunning views over the Gallo Nero hills; stays are possible in the restored villa or nearby farmhouses. The estate’s Chianti Classico bottlings are fresh and drinkable expressions of the site’s terroir." - Federico De Cesare Viola

This was an amazing Winery/Vineyard. From the beautiful grounds to the amazing tour and wines this was one of our favorite Vineyard visits and definitely our favorite Chianti that we tasted. We did the Private Gran Tour so it was just my wife and I with Fabio. Fabio is amazing we spent 2-3 hours with him walking the vineyards, seeing their process and visiting the cellars and going through the tasting. He was so good to talk through all the wines and walk us through the pairings. I can't say enough about Fabio he made this visit the best! The Private tour is worth the extra $15 over the regular. I think the tasting room and snacks that accompany the wine are better(see pics) and just the 1-on-1 time with Fabio was amazing. This was our favorite Chianti of our trip (6 wineries and 3 restaurants) to prove it there is a case on its way to my house. And if you like grappa their reserve is amazing. as we were checking out I asked Fabio about the grappa he gladly walked us back to the tasting area and let us sample it as well. Needless to say I have a bottle of that in my home now as well. This was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone touring the area, you will not be disappointed!! THANK YOU FABIO!!!!

A great winery where tradition meets modernity. An outstanding restoration of a truly unique setting. The location is breathtaking, the wines are excellent, and the marketing is remarkable. Everything is managed under the expert and attentive guidance of Director Alessandro, with the valuable support of his colleague Beatrice. This is absolutely a winery worth experiencing, whether for a tasting or a guided tour. Special praise goes to the ownership , whose French elegance blends beautifully with Tuscan rustic charm, creating a bouquet of unforgettable emotions. Must visit!

We had a pre booked wine tasting which Fabio hosted. It was the most enjoyable relaxed experience with Fabio who took his time to show us around the stunning winery and tell us about the local history. We spent a large part of the afternoon with Fabio and tasted some beautiful wine. Needless to say we left with a couple of boxes.

We had the great fortune to stop at the Vineyard during our family trip to Tuscany in 2023. It was an unexpected gem found by sheer luck. The grounds are lovey and very inviting and beautiful. However the view was like looking at a painting hanging in a galley absolutely spectacular. Our good luck continued when we met Adriano. My wife, Vincenza and our sons, Nicholas and Vincent and I felt an instant connection with him. He gave us a tour of the wine cellars, various rooms and even watched the bottling process. We were even taken up to the large cases of wine and he explained the entire process. We then of course had a wine tasting. Full bodied and flavorful with notes of leather, spice and tobacco. The Chianti was impressive we purchased several bottles. We are in contact with Adriano on a regular basis and we feel like he is part of the family. We truly can’t wait to go back to the vineyard and see the views, drink the wine, and see our good friend. Caio

We had an excellent tour at Tenuta Casenuove. The winery is exceptionally beautiful and the staff is super hospitable. Although perhaps more pricey than tours at other wineries, the price is more than worth it and we would absolutely recommend doing a tour + tasting!

We have done wine tastings at the Tenuta Casenuove vineyard twice and twice at their stunning tasting room in the village of Panzano, and both locations are absolutely wonderful! The vineyard is full of outstanding artwork and incredibly delicious wine, and a joy to explore. I'm sure all of the hosts are great, but we had the pleasure of having Jlena be our guide twice and she made the experience perfect!!!

Best wine tasting in the town. The Host was the best. She really took the time to explain and answered questions. Really delicious wine and service too. Excellent place to visit when in Chianti. Beautiful views, you never get tired of. We like there wine so much that we bought a 12 case.

We visited Tenuta Casenuove which was directly across from the AirBnB we stayed at. We were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed our visit there with our host, Jlenia, and the excellent wines. We initially toured the beautiful facility followed by the wine tasting. Jlenia was a fantastic host being warm and friendly as she described the facility and wine making. Afterwards we tasted all the wines and the olive oil. All the wines were delicious but what stood out for me were the Ziik Rose and the 2016 IGT Toscana. In general, I am not a fan of rose's but this was excellent rose and one that I would highly recommend. The IGT Toscana was the best (60/40 Merlot/Sangiovese), fruity and smooth with a great finish. After the tasting, we walked around the beautiful grounds. I would love to visit again and highly recommend you do too!
