Tenuta Duca Marigliano Boutique Hotel (Paestum, Campania) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Ancient Greeks saw the potential in Paestum, Italy, leaving behind a trio of Doric temples that together comprise a present-day archaeological site. Less than a kilometer away, Tenuta Duca Marigliano offers upscale digs on a verdant estate that once belonged to a 19th-century duke. Just 19 charmingly rustic rooms make up the entire boutique hotel, which all but guarantees true privacy and quality attention from staff. And the Tyrrhenian coast is right there, postcard views and all." - Tablet Hotels

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, and the location is absolutely perfect. The hotel is set in a beautiful, large garden, which adds a lot of charm. The swimming pool is excellent, and breakfast was more than satisfactory. The entire hotel has been recently renovated with a stylish and modern interior. The only minor downside is that the flooring hasn’t been updated, but they do provide high-quality flip-flops to walk around comfortably. Bonus: you can grab a gelato at midnight!

We had an overnight stopover in Paestum and stayed at Tenuta Duca Marigliano - they stay was too short!|The hotel was lovely; the ground picturesque, rooms spacious and well appointed, and service was excellent. |Sitting in the garden drinking aperitif was delightful before in a very fine dinner in the Michelin awarded restaurant Casa Coloni - enjoyed the local produce and wine!|Paestum archeological site was very close, the purpose for our visit, and provided a spectacular insight into the area’s history.|We were wishing we had more time to take advantage of the wonderful accommodation and to explore more of the local sights. Highly recommended!

We recently stayed four nights at the Duca Marigliano Boutuque Hotel and it was a wonderful experience… Very comfortable room… Great shower… Great location in a quiet area near the Greek temples… Sophisticated decor… Lovely breakfast… We ate at their restaurant, Casa Coloni and truly enjoyed the experience… Several other good restaurants were nearby… It was an easy walk to the Greek temples and the archaeological museum… Very friendly team at the hotel, always available to answer questions and help us make plans for dinner, tours, etc.… We would definitely stay at Duca Marigliano again… Five stars all around😁

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, but what makes this place special are the lovely gardens and the stellar service. The hotel ( a restored ducal palace) is surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens with plenty of spaces to sit, relax and enjoy the calm. You can get drinks served out in the gardens and they come with the very best bar snacks I have ever experienced.| |The service was top notch from the moment we checked, both at reception, and in the bar and restaurant. The hotel is located just 10 minutes walk from the entrance to the ruins and close to numerous restaurants, though you should definitely book dinner in the hotel restaurant at least one night of your stay. The restaurant is superb. We genuinely fell in love with this beautiful hotel and will return without a doubt.

A boutique hotel with a huge garden and nice pool. Lemon trees on property are very pretty. We had a standard room, which is basic and clean. The hotel restaurant is a Michelin start venue. We had a lovely dinner and selected their 75 euro per person set meal. Food was delicious and service very good. It is the best value meal I have ever had.

Very stylist hotel in a lovely garden setting, surrounded by countryside. Close to temple ruins and good restaurants.|Lots of quirky modern touches in an old palace. |Room bright & airy and bed very comfortable.|Dinner was spectacular- Michelin star standard, accompanied by very good local wines.|Staff friendly and welcoming.||2 minor issues. I was disappointed we didn’t have a kettle in our room ( which our friends had). Also the mosquitoes in the bike store were dreadful. Take good insect repellent!

We spent 3 nights here in August. The hotel resembles a Tuscan Villa, or maybe even a small French chateau. It has been sympathetically and tastefully refurbished and feels very luxurious, elegant and authentic. We came from another hotel, further up the coast, which was much more expensive than Tenuta Duca, ( and nowhere near as nice ) so were pleasantly surprised by how pretty and classy this place was. It is a 10 minute walk from the Greek ruins and for us these ruins were absolutely jaw dropping. The whole stay was excellent. A lovely breakfast in a sunken courtyard, a thoughtfully decorated room with a gorgeous bathroom, attentive staff, a beautiful entrance area, sumptuous gardens where you can sit and enjoy some peace and order drinks and snacks and 2 little pools ( we did not use these ) but they looked pristine and had a cute pool bar too. There are heaps of restaurants as you walk towards the ancient site. Our room was number 103. We felt very sad to leave and really recommend this lovely hotel if you want to see the amazing ruins at Paestum.
