We spent 3 nights here in August. The hotel resembles a Tuscan Villa, or maybe even a small French chateau. It has been sympathetically and tastefully refurbished and feels very luxurious, elegant and authentic. We came from another hotel, further up the coast, which was much more expensive than Tenuta Duca, ( and nowhere near as nice ) so were pleasantly surprised by how pretty and classy this place was. It is a 10 minute walk from the Greek ruins and for us these ruins were absolutely jaw dropping. The whole stay was excellent. A lovely breakfast in a sunken courtyard, a thoughtfully decorated room with a gorgeous bathroom, attentive staff, a beautiful entrance area, sumptuous gardens where you can sit and enjoy some peace and order drinks and snacks and 2 little pools ( we did not use these ) but they looked pristine and had a cute pool bar too. There are heaps of restaurants as you walk towards the ancient site. Our room was number 103. We felt very sad to leave and really recommend this lovely hotel if you want to see the amazing ruins at Paestum.
