Very simple ingredients served beautifully. The mozzarella was the best I have ever tasted. The meatballs were delightful, too. It's a good sign when the menu is so small

The buffalo milk gelato is the best we've had over the last week. Food, shops, and farm critters.

We emailed ahead to book the tour and cannot recommend this place highly enough! We loved seeing how the mozzarella was made (you have to come early, production stops at noon) and the mozzarella we tasted was the single best mozzarella I've ever had in my entire life! Don't miss out on trying out the yogurt and gelato here either! (And if you're here for lunch, definitely book a spot at their restaurant) This was one of the highlights of our trip!!

Google
Great buffalo farm where you can see how the Mozzarella is made. We had a lovely guided tour where you get a lot of information. Try the buffalo Milka shake afterwards- you will never drink another one.

Excellent place to discover the manufacturing of mozzarella! We booked a tour in the morning to visit the stable and the processing place. It lasted 35 min and we ate a few mozzarella at the end. Was fun and informative. Even if you don't book a tour you can see the buffalas and take a peek in the manufacturing place (morning only). The restaurant is nice and worth it to try some product like the butter and ricotta daily made. There is also a leather shop and a yoghurteria where you can even buy bread!

Tour with Rosaria. Absolutely amazing, private tour we were able to see the Buffalo up close and learn about the amazing ways they are treated, toured the museum and leather shop, and of course got to taste the BEST mozzarella I have ever had!! They also have a restaurant there (need a reservation) a quicker food option with baked goods and gelato!!!! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I'm glad I added this to my trip! When a friend told me the best, or some of the best, Buffalo Mozzarella in the world comes from Paestum, I had to make this happen, as a fan of food! There are multiple farms in the area, but this is one of the best, if not the best. It is an organic farm that raises its own water buffalo and treats them all REALLY well! There is a lot of automation, and these water buffslo are smart! Three times per day, when the buffalo feel too full of milk, they walk to a pen to get in line to be milked by a robot that uses infrared to find the nipples and attach to them! There are also yellow brushes that massage the buffalo. They walk right up to them and get in position for the spots they want massaged. It's a beautiful facility with enough to see and taste. Definitely do it if you can. Advance reservations arw needed for the tours and for the redtaurant if you want to dine on site. Our tour guide was Rosaria, and she was fantastic! Check them out when visiting Italy.

Yelp
As they say, great cheese comes from happy cows - or in this case, very happy buffalos! At Tenuta Vannulo they pamper their Buffalo cows with twice daily baths, revolving massage machines available all day, comfy beds of hay, and classical music piped in. The buffalo are kept in open areas where they munch on hay, roam or rest. And when the buffalos sense their udders are full, they walk over to a self milking machine where their magnetic collar identifies them and their milk is bumped. Incredible! All of this results in equally incredible end products. After witnessing the technology and obvious respect and care given to the animals, plus watching workers make fresh mozzarella, we had lunch. We sat at a long table surrounded by olive trees and bougainvillea. First was a ricotta crepe, so light and delicious. Then came a Caprese salad with the brightest, sweetest cherry tomatoes I have ever had and the freshest Buffalo mozzarella. It was creamy and indescribably good. Divine comes to mind! Even the olive oil came from their trees and it was fantastic, it had a peppery finish which I prefer. I wanted to buy a few bottles but they were sold out for the season. Next came fresh yogurt. At first I was going to pass because it didn't seem to go with the meal but when my friends started moaning in delight I had to give it a try. It was the best yogurt I have ever had anywhere. Creamy, rich but not too filling. OMG. if I lived in Salerno I would eat their yogurt everyday. We then went to the market and cafe and had heavenly gelato and cappuccino. We had already had quite a bit of gelato in Sorrento, Naples and Capri and so we weren't expecting something so good that it made the other gelatos that we thought were sublime, seem mediocre. Dang! Unfortunately we can't have any of these delicious Buffalo milk products again unless we come back to Salerno. Tanuta Vannulo doesn't sell outside of their town. They make enough to sell every day, never selling day old products, so they make what those in the town use and that's it. They believe in selling the freshest products and after tasting several, I understand their philosophy and standards. Residents and business owners buy everyday, as evident by the lines, and when the product is gone, they close. The market also had some baked goods like my favorite ricotta cheese cake, sfogiatelle and cannoli but I was so full that I couldn't have another bite! Lastly, we visited their leather shop. Because they believe in using everything, when the male Buffalo are used for meat, their hides are tanned and they make a variety of leather goods, not a lot, but what they had were expertly crafted. They had a backpack, a few totes, a shoulder bag, a small cross body, wallets and some mens travel bags In various shades of brown. I bought a small, tan, crossbody bag and some soap, made from the Buffalo fat. Our overall experience here was just fabulous! A highlight of an incredible trip to southern Italy where every day was as good or better than the previous. The ride from Sorrento was about 90 minutes and very enjoyable. The destination, tour and lunch all totally worth it!

Yelp
Probably the cleanest farm I have ever seen. Over 300 water buffaloes in one area and they barely smelled. The animals seem to be very very well cared for. They offer a tour for $4 euro a person which includes a sampling of their buffalo mozzarella. The tour was less than an hour but enjoyable and worth it. This is the only place you can purchase their products because they do not ship and do not sell in stores. Make sure you stop by the cafe for their yogurt, gelato and coffee. After you've had a snack grab a number and wait in line for their unbelievably fresh mozzarella. It was probably the best we had our entire stay in Italy. They will even package it for you to ship home. They also have a leather shop where you can purchase handmade leather bags and wallets.

Yelp
To begin with please note that the address listed is the correct street but the number is wrong. Just go all the way down the road until it ends at the farm. The gelato is good. The yogurt is really good and the orange marmalade on top is really, really good! The sold out of fresh mozzarella by 3p when we got there. We bought the last ricotta and it was really mild and creamy. We were hoping for a tour of the farm but they said the last tour was this morning. I don't speak Italian so I don't know if that was just today (Saturday) or every day or what time it was at all. The toilets were free and clean

Yelp
The mozzarella is made fresh as you stand and wait. The flavor is amazing. The cafe has yogurt and ice cream and coffee it's just wonderful. They also have a store that sells leather purses. Expensive but beautiful.

Yelp
DO not buy leather goods in the Bottega I made a purchase of a expensive pocketbook $190.00, while visiting on my B-Day. Very soon after I got home the edging came off the strap, when I contacted them they said they would send out the color so I could to fix. It happened again, again they wanted to send out color for me to fix. At this point I just wanted them to issue a pick-up and refund my money. I should not have to continually fix a $190.00 US pocketbook. They have chosen not to answer my request, they have not contacted me!! SO AGAIN I SAY DO NOT BUY ANY LEATHER ITEMS, THEY DO NOT CARE ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY

Yelp
Definitely make a pilgrimage here to experience some of (if not THE) the best mozzarella di bufala. They offer tours (about 4 euros) of their production farm and have a cafe where you can try their bufala milk, yogurt and gelato - all truly amazing and like nothing else. Plus, there's a retail store for purchasing mozzarella, ricotta, and provola affumicata. It's crazy good and no secret. The store is packed with customers from morning until they sell out (by noon in the summer and late afternoon in fall/winter). World class.

Yelp
Was here mid November if this year and this place was awesome. The buffalo listen to Mozart in the morning, graze, get scratched/massaged with some spinning roller I observed, and are milked with this machine that basically nows the animal. Actually got to pet one and so big yet so gentle. The owners were very nice and pleasant. The Mozzarella was The best I ever had. All organic and literally dripped down my beard while biting into it. Bought some of the leather goods as well as they looked very well made and you can view them as they are creating them:). Overall very impressed with this place and will definitely be back here whenever I get the chance. Thank you again for the great hospitality and keep up the excellent work.
