Excellent experience here. Breakfast is amazing, the bed was super comfortable and very mindful with gluten. The place really makes you feel at home but their people even more. Having a cozy tea before going to bed on that sofa or playing a bit of piano was a beautiful experience. Looking forward to coming back and reading in their garden. Dankjewel :)

Lovely, romantic, castle-style hotel, ran by awesome couple of people. Rooms are clean, some newly decorated, some vintage and romantic. The breakfast is awesome. Have been here already several times, and enjoyed the stay every time. Chocolatier Pas (well known chocolate/truffles shop) next door is just a cherry on the top.

Cute little family-run business in Turnhout. The inn itself was fine—the rooms were relatively large, with a good-sized and comfortable bed as well as a desk for work; the wifi signal was powerful and fast; and the morning breakfast was thoughtful and complete. The rooms did have weird quirks, though: bathroom toilet that was situated in what appeared to be a closet; open shower that radiated water everywhere on the bathroom floor without trying; lack of hooks for towels near the shower area. ||But what made this a good stay overall were the hosts, who were super-accommodating and pleasant even when things went wrong. In my situation, the shower in the room did not have hot water and their attempts to fix it the following day did not solve the issue. No worries, they allowed me to move into another room, and it was seamless and easy. The host was also very kind to make me a croque when I arrived late on a weekday evening, since all the other options in town had already closed for the night.||I should note that the room in the garden was much more quiet which was great; the room along the street got a little bit of evening noise from revelers. There was also a slight smell of cigarette smoke throughout the main house. Added bonus to have an elevator in the main house which helped get to the top floor easily. ||Breakfast was fairly complete with hot and cold options, and the dining area was tasteful. ||Hotel is situated right near one town square which was convenient for finding a dinner restaurant option.

I spent 4 nights at Ter Driezen in February 2023 while traveling for work and very much enjoyed my experience. My room was spacious, located in the back garden area, Wi-Fi was strong, and the overall location was ideal. Breakfast was included every morning in a lovely room with a spread of fruits, breads and jam, yogurt, juice (and they offered to make bacon and eggs upon request too). The owners were extremely helpful and friendly as well! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near Turnhout.

I've stayed here three or four times now and Ter Driezen is unique in my business travel experience. The building is charming; it's centuries old and reasonably updated. Lots of food choices within walking distance. A piano in a library. Breakfast in a largish dining room with original paintings and prints. The owners and staff consist of two families who make this place feel more like a real guest house than a hotel. You won't like this hotel if you need to have the latest and most luxe amenities, but if you have a little adventure left in your soul, you'll love it here.

The front Desk and all employees are unbelievably nice. They want to please you. They put out a beautiful spread. The rooms are so charming. There is water and coffee and Tea served all day. The hotel is owned by a husband and wife who are dedicated to the Hotel. My daughter and I went for a Figure Skating Competition and felt like we were Royalty. The beds were so comfortable, they called us Cabs at a discount and the location was perfect.

I travel to Beerse Belgium for work at least once a year. I like to stay close, which means Turnhout. There are two main Choices, the Best Western at the Train Station and Ter Driezen. If it’s available, my first choice is Ter Driezen. It is a charming little hotel just off the city square. There are rooms in the building and they have a few room overlooking the garden out back. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is a typical European breakfast, but freshly prepared and tasty. They will serve drinks to you in the study, if you would like a nightcap. The only downside is a lack of a lot of parking. But that is to be expected in the center of a small town in Europe.

Stayed in a beautiful twin room with an amazing ensuite which blew me away. The owners were very keen to tell us all the history of the place and were extremely welcoming. I adored the very fast, free Wifi and international calls, we even had a fireplace in our room made of marble. Turnhout is a great place, I wish more people knew about it.

Yelp
A small group of us had the pleasure of staying here for a couple nights. The owners are great people, very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was very good, well above your typical continental buffet most B&Bs have. We were lucky enough to get one of the new rooms on the top floor (they have an elevator if needed) and it was beautiful. There are no windows, just two skylights, so the view isn't great. They do open though and I got on a chair a couple times to look out and enjoy the fresh air without having to go downstairs and outside. It is on a semi main road, so there is some traffic noise and you have to remember not to just walk out the front door and step into traffic as the sidewalks are not raised. There is parking next to the building though and it is secured. It is a very short distance to the center of town with great shops, restaurants, etc. I would most definitely stay here again if we go back to the area.
