Probably the best burger place in Rotterdam for both vegetarian and meat based burgers. The sauces are on point, the meat is good quality and the veggie patties are tasty. When served the buns are the perfect amount of crisp and soft. The burgers themselves are not too saucy which makes it a very nice experience for me. The veggies used are fresh and crisp. Overall I have enjoyed each experience of eating here and id highly recommend this place. For the quality and experience I feel the prices are fair. I've been here several times and the consistency of good quality and taste is phenomenal. The service offered is friendly and helpful but not the swiftest and the seating is fine but not the most comfortable. Keep up the good work and see you soon.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming burger spot, and I can't recommend it enough! The burgers are incredibly tasty—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Each bite is a delight, with a variety of toppings that cater to every palate. The service was equally impressive. The waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Imagine a place with so much trophies that serves fries in a huge bowl. Then take a closer look at the bottom of the bowl… what a fake service that is.. The taste of burgers and prices don’t match… Burgers were supposed to be medium but instead they were well done…

Excellent Hamburgers ! They have won several prices with them ! French fries are good (I m Belgian) but the sauces to go with are fantastics ! Highly recommended

The burger was hearty and delicious (I had the one with wagyu beef), but the meat tasted like processed meat, kinda disappointed given the fact that I had a lot of expectations on its quality. The fries were flavorful especially with the great truffle sauce, but a little bit dry inside to my taste. But for the rest I have nothing to say it’s really good, service was quick and welcoming, price tag is still pretty expensive for what you get.

What a joke ! This was one of the most underwhelming burgers I’ve ever had ! They are average at best and overpriced for their taste. I ordered Gojira which is literally two tiny buns that cost 17€!! This plate belongs to the kids menu! Plus the Bali fries are served on a really big deep bowl giving the impression that the bowl is full of fries which is not the case since the bowl is flat! 1 out of 5 stars for the taste and especially the cunny food presentation !

We've heard lots of great things about this joint and stopped by during slow hours on a Friday. The Royal Dutch burgers were great. The Fries of Mine was one of the best fries we had.

This place is amazing for the food and atmosphere. Photo to show how delicious it is. Every time I go we do not have a single complaint. I bring friends and family who visit to this spot almost every time we get a chance. I witnessed a group of people react hostile to the manager for an innocent joke and threaten him with a bad review, so I wanted to back that up. Mark is the Manager from what I know of and is an excellent face for the Owner of this establishment. The actions of an unjust review are childish and severally in my eyes seen as a "Karen" of sorts. There was no directed comment of anything racially or belittling from Mark. The food is delicious, Mark is amazing as a Manager, and I will be back as I saw how professionally he handled the situation as it was him joking with the customer, not being belittling or condescending.

This is a very popular spot! I ordered The Holy Moly burger. The burger was delicious and had a ton of flavor! My only complaint was that there was something hard to chew on top of the burger. I think it was coriander seeds. The fries were very good, and I loved the garlic mayonnaise! Get the "large" beers because they're not very big to begin with. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and our waiter was greater. I highly recommend this place!

Had a casual business meeting here recently. The burgers are a delightful burst of juiciness and rich flavors. Their award-winning selections on the menu are a testament to their quality. Choose any burger with an award badge, and you're in for a treat. And yes, the sweet fries are a must-have! For those concerned about medium-rare preparations, just request a longer cook time. They're flexible and aim to provide an exceptional dining experience.

The Fries O' Mine were supposedly award winning, but they tasted like average fries. Cute ambience inside though, and I enjoyed watching the fries flipper flip his fries. We are inside so we got our fries in a tray, but if you take away, the fries come in a cone for easy transportation.

Ordered: the Burgeresse, Ter Marsch Grande, Gojira Winner, Sweet Fries. These burgers are incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. Their menu even deserves to list the awards they've earned because it's that good. Honestly, just pick a burger that has an award next to it and you will not be disappointed. Also, don't forget to order the sweet fries!! If you're worried about feeding yourself or your kids medium rare meat then please ask for your meat to be cooked longer. They are accommodating and just want to give you a wonderful experience. Ambiance: very hip and, as the dutch say, GEZELLIG! Rating by adults and kids: 10/10.

The burgers were extremely delicious and the service was great . I had the vegeterian one and it was fantastic . The bread was alsı very well picked. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather and food at the same time.

Absolutely delicious Asian style burger with plenty sweet potato fries to share. Service was very thorough and quick. Seats weren't the most comfortable as there weren't many but it doesn't really matter as it actually adds and suits the style of the restaurant. 100% would recommend for take out as well as dine-in experience!

We tried Ter Marsch because it has won so many "Best Burger" awards in the Netherlands and we wanted to put it to the test. There are lots of tables outside with umbrellas in case of inclement weather. The street this location is on is very popular with locals that own fancy cars and motorcycles. If you enjoy fancy car watching, this is the patio for you because at least 20 crazily decorated and/or super expensive cars/motorcycles drove by during our meal. We ordered the De Burgeresse (Angus and Wagyu beef pattie, truffle gravy, lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion, cheese, pancetta, truffle mayo and their special sauce) and the Grande 200gr (Angus w/ lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, cheese, pancetta and truffle mayo.) The beef was perfectly cooked medium rare and had a nice texture. We loved both burgers, but thought De Burgeresse really look the cake. There was so much going on that it was hard to keep the burger together, but all the flavors combined very well. They both had just the right amount of sauce so we didn't get it all over our hands. You have to use the toilets here too because both the men's and women's have ceilings covered in plants. You feel like you're peeing in a jungle. It's very unique.

I wanted to grab a burger from a restaurant that's on Witte De Withstraat and decided to try this out. Grabbed a seat at the bar as I was by myself and ordered the Dutch Royal Burger along with fries and a beer. They didn't ask how I wanted my burger cooked but I noticed it looked medium rare which is perfect as that's how I always get my steaks/burgers cooked. It was juicy and tasty with the bacon, cheese, and sauce. The wait service is great. Men's bathroom had a jungle theme to it complete with jungle/nature sounds. Pretty neat and clean!

I thought the burgers were good but a tad over-rated. Amazing block in Rotterdam though, especially if you can snag one on the terrace. I got a Three Chefs IPA on draft. Service was above-average for Europe.

I looked at other Yelp reviews to find a place to eat and I am so glad I came!! Had the de Burgeresse burger and it may have been the best burger I ever had. Perfectly cooked, juicy the toppings were delicious and not overpowering. Ask for silverware, you'll need it by the end, but everything was really delicious! Definitely worth the walk and the cute little neighborhood is a great people watching spot! Highly recommend trying it!

Best Burger I have eaten!! Never had a feeling of Christmas in my mouth. I had the Royal Dutch, the beef patty was perfect. On the side we had fries with the mayo truffles, also recommended. I am sure anything else on the menu is delicious too.

This burger was so good that I almost don't care to challenge it! Could die happily eating this. try The Royal Dutch. The fries are also super good alone, but the basil(?) mayo just takes it to the next level. I feel so at home in the atmosphere here. Will miss this place till next time I'm in Rotterdam!

Love this place. Friendliest staff I have experienced in Rotterdam so far. Burger with trufflemayo is award winning (literally) and delightful. It is a place I will bring all of my friends when they come to visit us.

Usually when you eat a place that has a "best of" item in the menu it falls flat. Not the case here. Their burger was honestly one of the best I've had in a long time. Get there early as this place tends to fill up.

We got two angus burgers, a chicken burger and pork sandwich. They were all equally delicious. Helped fill the hunger and then some. Great combination of sauces and veggies and the toast was on point. I had the chicken burger and I have to say it was my favorite chicken burger I've ever had in my life. It looks daunting in size but was perfect. Two big thumbs up for sure.

The past few years the Netherlands have taken on one of America's most popular food trends: the gourmet burger. And as Rotterdam became the epicenter of this culinary craze, Ter Marsch decided to step up to the batter's box and take a swing at the fast ball called 'gourmet burgers'. And they hit a home run. Having tried many different burgers, both in the Netherlands as well as in America, I can confidently say that Ter Marsch has one of the best. The 'Burgeresse' is a meaty masterpiece on brioche bread, consisting of two types of meat, classic condiments and a secret sauce. It's not a surprise that Ter Marsch won the prize for Best Burger of the Netherlands with this burger. Ter Marsch is named after the butcher shop who resided in this very location a long time ago, and the restaurant's interior design is also based on that. However, as most butcher shops aren't made to house many guests other than dead stock, this place too is rather small. As a result you will probably have to wait 15 to 30 minutes before you can get seated. However, it is worth the wait, and in the meantime you can enjoy a beer at the bar.

The burgers here really do deserve their accolades! Love that they are served in a brown bun (proper bread!). The fries are worth ordering on the side too, super lekker! Really lovely, friendly staff too so the whole experience is a good one.

Good burgers even by USA standards. Great servers. Noisy but fun. Anticipate a wait unless you sit outside when it rains or get lucky and catch a bar stool

Definitely the best burgers in Rotterdam I have had and a good drink menu as well. The inside is cozy and the outside terrace is nice for warmer days. We had wonderful friendly service as well. Definitely would recommend anything with the truffle mayo.

Not to be confused with the similarly named bar across the street. This was a friendly restaurant with good service and beer. For all the hype, I expected a better hamburger -- but it was still pretty good. Excellent fries.

The best hamburgers are to be eaten here! A small place in Rotterdam but waiting is worth your while! So much complimentary taste in your mouth? You need to taste it with your eyes closed. It's a feast for your taste senses. If you come to Rotterdam or Amsterdam you need to grab a burger and taste them for yourself. Peace out!

I'm surrounded by fantastic burger restaurants in NYC, and this is up there with them. Paired with their delicious house brewed IPA, Crazy Daisy, I had their special burger, the Frenchie. Helped by their wonderful and friendly staff, I left there full and pleased. Great way to finish a day of walking throughout Rotterdam and its museums!

A decent 'hotel style' burger... good ingredients, but not properly seared, so you get a somewhat cooked-thru medium rare burger that tastes a bit spongy compared to the crispy carmelized-yet-rare smash burgers that they do these days. The upsell is strong on the sidings, but the basic burger itself leaves much to be desired. Nothing to write home about.

Burgerorgasm anyone?...Oh my I just had one...and it's lingering along nicely with a side of 2014 Spanish Granache red wine... I had the Burgeresse who just happened to have been crowned to the Dutch Hamburger 2015...and my did I found out why. The patty is thick juicy and cooked to perfection with a mix between Angus and Waguyu beef ..the bread big bold and brioche like to soak up all the juices, lackered with a beef jus covered with Pancetta and cheese finished with truffle mayo and tomatoes and lattuce. They give you a throw away bib because eating this burger politely is not an option neither would I want to do that ...it was a lot to handle but as with men ...the ..bigger ...the better hhhh.. And then the fries crispy with truffle mayo mmmmm...the Granache prevails still after three glasses. That and the smiles of the serving staff that know their wines doesn't hurt either... Ter Marsch I salute you , Cheers and bonne appetite!

Have just returned from dinner here and it was great!! Amazing burgers, great atmosphere and lovely waiters make it a wonderful evening out. You can see why they have won numerous best burger awards! The option to have some of the burgers in a ladies size is a great idea too! Definately reccomend!

Walking past Ter Marsch & Co. you might do a double take ''wasn't my favourite snack bar Spooky's located here?!'' Well it was and it has left a hole in our hearts ever since. But Ter Marsch & Co is doing quite the job filling that void, in an even more delicious way! It's bringing foodies what they want: satisfying food at a price you can't beat with a fun atmosphere. The menu is designed for meat lovers especially: the burgers are mouthwatering yet classic combinations. Their pulled pork sandwich comes with a twist of horseradish and will become your favourite item to order in no time. They kept the interior simple but brightly lit as it is a small restaurant. Of course there is no comparing the former snack bar to this sophisticated joint. They even have a night license so who knows: you could be having your french fries with truffle mayonnaise after drinking a couple of beers on de Witte de With.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and burgers! This place is where we would frequent when in town. After reading the reviews about the place we decided to go and try it out. Our first time in Rotterdam and yelp reviews helped us with the decision to go. We are Americans, the staff was very pleasant and they all spoke English. They help translate adult beverage menu while they did offer an English printed menu! Food was cooked to order and the beef used was some of the best.

Great burgers!! the place is packed and a bit expensive, but the burgers are the best! Tipp: just order one portion of fries if you are 2 people: it's more than enough!!

Ter Marsch has one of the best burgers in town, which isn't saying much. The first problem is that they fall apart when you are half way through with them. So if you are expecting not to make a mess, think again, because by the time you are finished with your burger you will likely have Ter Marsch sauce or Truffle sauce covering your hands and mouth. I would not recommend a date here. The other problem is that the burgers have too much sauce. Both the Ter Marsch sauce and the Truffle sauce are very rich and they completely coat the burgers in it. When you eat you can't taste much other than the sauce. My final complaint is the price, be prepared to drop at least 20 dollars here if you want a good meal. I would recommend Ter Marsch only if you are desperately craving a burger in Rotterdam otherwise I would avoid burger joints.
