Had a very nice espresso here. Very cosy place with some great views out the window. Located at the university so a bit of a walk up the hill and it can be a bit confusing to get to. Recommend it of you're in Bangor.

This was closed for meals. But information on Google made it sound like it was open. Quite a trek for a coffee.

The city of Bangor prides itself on its university and the main top college building has a restaurant tucked away inside , behold TERAS It is essentially the senior academic common room . But it is open access , food is amazingly fresh and local ! Prices are taking it from a 5 to a 4 star but are not that bad , we had our Christmas dinner here and it was lovely I can even recommend toast in the morning with a pot of tea as the surrounding areas are wonderful with a lovely Heath fire at one end and plushy sofa t'other

This place is okay. The staff are sometimes ignorant. I have had experiences in which they looked at me and ignored me. It wasn't until I'd keep staring that one of the servers rolled her eyes and came to take my order. The place was empty and yet I felt unwelcomed and like a bother to them. They even got my order wrong and tried to overcharge me. When I pointed it out, the female server rolled her eyes again (supposedly in a discrete manner) and hesitantly fixed it. The food itself is cafeteria style and is sometimes burned black or served in a very miniscule portion. The price they charge is not worth the service nor quality of the food. It's best to just go somewhere else.

We visited this place today for the first time since the recent refurbishment This is actually a great venue! Clearly allot of effort has gone into creating an inviting and unique space. Modern, comfortable furniture, a defused well lit space and glass walled corridor to the side all give this place a striking modern feel. It's been well endowed with paintings from the University's private collection and the modern elements are juxtapose to the old fireplace, large windows and tall ceiling of the Grade I listed building. The service was first class. We came in with a 2 month old who was breastfed and a 2 year old who was mostly well behaved. Needless to say we did our best to not make a mess or noise, but recognise we are a challenge to what is not really a young family venue. The waitress arrived quickly and the drinks were of good quality and arrived swiftly. Straight away there was a noticeable attention to detail in the cutlery, choice of tea bags and sugar etc which give this place both a quality and unique feel. The food was perfectly proportioned, well presented and to the correct temperature. The menu itself was good (see the website), but could be improved a little. We paid around £13 for two 'lunch' meals and drinks (Teras salad and Smoked Salmon Omelette) - well priced given the quality. Ideal to take the parents when they come and open to the general public to enjoy too. Without doubt one of the best venues in Bangor.

When first visiting Teras the thing that really stand out the most was how clean the place was. The price is reasonable, and I would not say that I'll never come back again but the food is not that fantastic. It is a really good place to hang around with colleagues or friends, and it is quiet place so I enjoyed the peace.
