Terma Linca is wonderful. Its quiet, soothing and extremely beautiful. On the riverside, views are amazing along with the mountain ranges. Terrains are astonishing. Staff was courteous and helpful. Rooms were clean, spacious and total place looks rich in its heritage. Their warm welcome was literal warmth with herbal tea. Food preference can be mentioned early so that they can prepare. Worth the visit and Stay. Keep rocking, Bhutan 🥳

Read till end 1. The property is super…. try reaching in daylight to appreciate the location. River view from all rooms with super clean fast flowing river. Dining room feels like in Europe . 2. Rooms are larger than normal and well appointed. Not airconditioned but with room heaters provided. 3. Food quality is very good and Indian style is very authentic. 4. Once in the hotel cannot go out without transportation. Steep climb up hill. 5. Rooms are far from reception and walking in cold nights is a little chilly.. 6. Some rooms infested with rats . Late night rats started creating a racket in the room and there was no staff to help out. Changed the room next day . Next evening found a live rat in the Suite room which was caught by the staff . The hotel needs full fumigation and treatment for the rodents. 7. Spa is very good and hygienic . Do not miss treatments . Though expensive it is worth it. 8. Service is good overall. Property is really well maintained over all and a place that you will remember for a long long time .

An absolutely beautiful hotel in the midst of the bustling city. The location of the hotel is majestic since you are surrounded by tall mountains and the Thimphu river flowing right outside your room. It was so peaceful. On top of that, the rooms are clean and nice, and so is the food, but the best part was the staff who were so so kind and helpful. They were attentive, enthusiastic and made our stay so much better. I will definitely visit again the next time I come to Thimphu!!

I visited the hot stone bath at Terma Linca Resort & Spa, and it was incredibly relaxing. The wooden tub filled with warm water and heated river stones created a deep, soothing heat that melted away all the tension, especially after a cool day in Thimphu. The setting was peaceful, the staff were attentive, and the whole experience felt authentically Bhutanese. It’s easily one of the most calming and memorable spa experiences I’ve had and well worth the visit.

Thimphu, Bhutan [ Your Majesty, I would like to express my deep admiration and respect for the Kingdom of Bhutan, its rich culture, its people, and Your Majesty's leadership. I had the honor of visiting Bhutan for the second time in May of this year and was once again moved by the warmth and kindness of the Bhutanese people. During my first visit to Bhutan in 2010, I stayed at the Terma Linca Resort in Thimphu, which left a lasting impression of comfort, serenity, and hospitality. Because of this fond memory, I chose to stay at the same resort again this year, trusting I would find the same sense of welcome and well-being. However, I regret to inform Your Majesty that my experience this time was a great disappointment. I had paid in advance for four nights but found the condition of the mattress in my room so poor that after two nights of uncomfortable sleep, I felt compelled to leave the hotel early and find alternative accommodation. Despite bringing the issue to the attention of the staff, no satisfactory solution was offered. Unfortunately, despite a lengthy conversation with the hotel’s director, they refused to refund the two disputed days that had been paid for in advance I was informed by the staff that Terma Linca is under the ownership of the royal family, which is why I feel it is appropriate to respectfully bring this matter to Your Majesty’s attention. I published a review of my experience on TripAdvisor in May, reflecting my honest impressions, and rated the hotel accordingly with one star. It pains me to share such feedback, especially regarding a property connected to the royal family, but I hope this note may help ensure that future guests receive the high standard of comfort and care that Bhutan is so justly known for. With sincere respect and gratitude for the inspiration that Bhutan and its leadership bring to the world,

Excellent resort. Very beautiful views and class apart service. Has good food options for vegeterians with separate kitchen. Heating is good and property is well maintained. Special mention to Rinzin and Karma for outstanding hospitality.

Exceptional hotel and service. Even though we are the only guests at the time, they provided a lovely stay for us. It feels like a 5 star hotel and has huge rooms and a great location next to the river. I cannot recommend it enough.

I stayed at Terma Linca Resort & Spa, Bhutan, in Room 310 on October 25–26, and had an extremely unpleasant experience. In evening, I discovered a rat inside my room — which I have on video. The hotel staff eventually caught the rat, but their explanation was deeply disappointing: they casually said “it’s getting cold outside, and rats often enter rooms.” For a property that belongs to Royal family and advertises itself as a luxury resort, this level of hygiene and pest control is absolutely unacceptable. I expected far higher standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism. I hope the management takes immediate corrective action to prevent this from happening to future guests. Otherwise Rooms are spacious and maintained. Property by the stream is beautiful. Indian food is ok. Bhutanese people are polite and hospitable
