Tell me how when I ordered beehoon goreng and the man asked "chicken or mutton", to which I said chicken, it was $8?? Only after paying did I see the price for the beehoon goreng was actually just $5. The other guy pointed to the fried chicken on display and said that it's $8 with chicken, but this price was not listed. Worst was when I got the plate it was pathetic amount, it was just less than half a chopped up drumstick. Almost 50% bones. I thought it would've been at least a full piece of chicken since he pointed at it! Also ordered a chicken with rice set in the meantime while waiting for the beehoon goreng and it was a reasonable $6.50 for the plate. Very scummy practice to charge unknowing customers extra. Btw if the food tasted good maybe the price would have mattered less. The beehoon goreng was very wet? Wet and oily but also plain at the same time. Papadum very soggy. Horrible experience and taste, 0/10, did not finish, do not recommend.

This is a clean and seemingly family friendly attraction. I ate here and did not get sick, was sold some magic tricks by a charismatic jokes and tricks seller, just generally a nice sort of controlled and monitored introduction to street food markets. It’s still got all the hustle and bustle and crazy foods but also things to keep kids happy and enough space to move around.

Affordable vegetarian food at staff canteen. The quality is good too! Ordered horfun and it was cooked freshly upon order. Wok hei is nice, totally enjoyed my meal before my flight!

This place is already pretty famous among budget-conscious travelers who are based in SG or connect through SIN. It's intended as staff cafeteria and thus not surprising that the location is pretty hidden. Unlike the staff cafeteria in Terminal 4 which is readily accessible through the landside/check in area, one has to exit the terminal and enter the basement, which is next to the parking building. Follow the signage "Staff Canteen" to get to the place. The stalls are of standard fare and variety of normal food courts. Of course for everyone who isn't airport staff the price is slightly more expensive, but it's still far cheaper than the stuffs inside the terminal. Always come before the dinner crowd, the ventilation quality inside the food court is acceptable (CO2 concentration never goes above threshold of 800 ppm), which is surprising since it's location in the basement. Note that the only drink stall isn't well stocked and often run out of the menu before dinner time *shrugging*.

cheap for public, I think outside airport lot of hawker can be cheaper but it’s good option if you don’t have place to go to

always love this place, located at terminal 1 changi where good food and cheap price altogether in frame: arround 5sgd (chicken and fried rice) rice in singapore is so tasty yet good

This was a good experience.. We had vegetarian options and this was a budget friendly compared to the other restaurants.. The staff were courteous and answered yo our queries humbly and respectfully.. You may try here as this is much recommended..

A budget-friendly place to eat at Changi Airport — the concept is like a canteen, with lots of different food stalls. To get here, you really have to ask the staff for directions because we kept getting lost 🥲 even though it’s cheap, the portions are huge — one serving is enough for two people! As for the taste… well, it’s a bit plain 🤏 and it turns out there’s even a price difference between staff and visitors!

What an incredible option for not only airport employees but the general public. This was my first meal in Singapore and it was an appropriate introduction to the hawker food scene. My friend and I walked past all the food stalls seeing what tickled our fancy which after 30 hours of traveling for me, was pretty much everything. My lunch was good and the price was even better.
