At These Airport Wellness Centers, Travelers Can Get a Flu Shot, Schedule a Workout, or Take a Shower

"First launched in December 2021 in Terminal 4 of New York’s JFK airport, Treat now has three wellness centers in the U.S., with a location that opened at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport (Terminal 4) in April, and most recently, a location in Salt Lake City airport (Concourse B) that opened earlier in October. Treat is 'the first fully integrated in-airport spa and wellness concept, providing medical services, state-of-the-art testing, and a holistic approach to physical and mental well-being,' Scott Milford, XWell’s CEO said in a statement earlier this week."

This is one of the updated terminals at JFK and although it's much nicer than what we had before, it doesn't compare to many of the best airports around the world. The landslide (before security) is very barebones with very little seating. The airside looks like a landing area of entrance to shopping mall with also not enough seats. I saw some people even sitting in the bench in the restroom eating their Dunkin, yuk!

After an exhausting 11-hour flight, being forced to wait over an hour at passport control is simply unacceptable. Whoever is responsible for managing this process should be replaced by someone capable of handling it efficiently.

It was my first time riding AirTrain. It felt like a metro. And I got off at JFK Delta Terminal 4 in Pittsburgh, but there was no sign that said AirTrain, so I had to ask the information desk or staff to find it. At first, I thought I wouldn’t go outside and just ride the AirTrain inside the terminal, so I was a bit shocked and dumbfounded when they suddenly told me to go outside.

Google
It was such aTerrible & most dirty airport terminals we have ever landed in JFK due to our delays flight plus what awful customer services in general from TSA to waitress @ the Palm bar & grill restaurant not to us specifically but also witnessed how others got treated by this airport employees. It was absolutely our Worst experience ever landed at JFK airport which we have never been to NY before-which already made us decision that we would never wanted to visit New York ever!! So embarrassing for USA 🇺🇸 JFK airport since we just came back from Nice, France 🇫🇷 airport and they were much nicer and cleaner overall.

Google
JFK famous but old & going through a 19 billion upgrade for terminal 4 & 8. Skytrain are running okay. Relatively clean terminal but commuting from terminal to terminal is a long walk & could be meandering. Date: 2024-AUG-30.

Google
Pros: NYS’s connection to the international world 🌍. Air Train 🚆 (free of charge) connects all terminals, including the NYC Subway 🚇. One of the biggest destinations in the world, which means cheapest and most number of flights ✈️ available for international travel. Cons: Very busy airport. Carts 🛒 for carrying your luggage 🧳 are not free; $6 per cart, only payable by credit card. If for any reason, you cannot handle/carry your luggage, porters are available and charge $6 dollar per bag. Parking for terminal 4 is extremely busy and hard to find empty spots. Parking 🅿️ Rates: $6 for each half hour up to 3 hours. $12 for each half hour after 3 hours. Maximum $80 per day. Bathrooms 🚽 are not the cleanest and are always busy. Bottom line, it’s an expensive airport and not the best in terms of shopping and restaurant’s choice. However, terminal 4 is considered the better one amongst the others at JFK.

Google
Lots of delays with the snow today and planes defrosting and de-icing, make sure to go early! Our flight left 2-3 hours late... Gate 49 is really far so a good walk to get there. The second shake shack is less crowded if you go in that direction.

Dirty, No Seating areas - People literally sitting on the floor with thier Luggage ! Sketchy WiFi that cuts in and out - 2 Minimal Over Priced Eating Options Donuts and Sanwiches !? This is all before even Checking in !? Definitely Disappointing Visiting the Famous JFK airport.

Yelp
I landed at Terminal 4 and needed to pick up another flight at Terminal 4 so this is where my whole JFK experience took place. Except where things were blocked off due to construction, I found the terminal to be very nice looking and having the feel of a shopping mall or modern Japanese subway shopping area. I had a layover of a couple hours and wandered the terminal a bit, but nothing stood out to me as extremely appealing in terms of food/drink. I was flying Delta and was surprised the staff here made extra effort to stand near the gate and ask people if they needed help, or spend time directing people and trying to achieve some order to things. Overall it was a nice terminal.

Yelp
JFK Airport used to be a symbol of pride, a place people talked about with admiration. It was once a premier hub we were proud to fly in and out of. However, for years now, the airport has been undergoing what feels like never ending construction. Currently, they are building two entirely new international terminals, and while this transformation is on going, it has caused an excessive amount of traffic and confusion. If you're planning to fly out of JFK, arrive at least three hours before your flight. I had a flight this evening departing from Terminal 4, and as we approached the entrance, we found it completely closed: with no reroute signs or traffic control in sight. To navigate around, we had to exit the airport, re-enter from another side, and only then were we informed of where to go with some poorly lit signs. Had it not been for CLEAR, I would have definitely missed my flight. The security line wait was over an hour! With such a major project underway, likely to last another 5-10 years the lack of proper traffic management is mind-boggling. I can only imagine how many travelers miss their flights daily due to this chaos.
google avatar

Stephanie T.

Yelp
This was a shit show to put it nicely. Apparently the airlines made the flights cheap and the airport gave people off for the holiday. As we know, that's a recipe for disaster. I got there with 2 hours to get to my plane and got to the plane with 15 minutes to spare. The lines were insane here to say the least. People were scrambled all over having no idea what to do or where to go. You had a tsa line that felt like it was never going to end and just wrapped around forever. Everything was just very poorly organized. Both the customers and workers were frustrated and irritable, and I can't blame either for being that way.
google avatar

Britanee S.

Yelp
Currently and for the next half of year or more will still be under heavy construction. Rerouting within the airport did push back some of my travel time but nothing to hectic . With such a big expansion this was sure to happen.

Yelp
I write with a public service announcement to explain it is not only possible but easy to walk between terminal 4 and terminal 5 at JFK airport. I will post this twice, under all relevant entries. On the internet, various sites state it is feasible to be a pedestrian between any of the terminals but further that it is generally discouraged except for this specific route. I can report the signage shows pedestrians graphically, about as explicit as a non verbal communication could be. The walk is .33 miles outdoors. That is from the closet door to the closest door. It does not include the distances indoors. I timed it with a Garmin sport watch. There is a sidewalk. You are not at risk of being run over. There is a single turn. It is marked. Assuming you are doing this to take an outbound flight, you need to wind your way through the terminal and change levels. Note given where AirTrain has its station at Terminal 5, quite a ways beyond the boarding area, you would have a hike even if you took the conveyance. I know I am an outlier. Nobody else was doing the walk in either direction. I also had run from my apartment to Jamaica Station to begin with. That is well over two miles. I would not do this with my wife. She would object. I will try to measure the steps if you use AirTrain. It might be close. Addendum. If you are wondering why I did what I did, it was to duck into a lounge. JetBlue has no such amenity at Terminal 5. My Priority Pass card would allow entry to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse though, over in Terminal 4. I had the time, even considering the need to go through the rigmarole of security twice. I can report it was not worth the trouble. The Clubhouse provisions are a la carte, meaning you need to pay more.

It's so cute here there is even a diner!!! It's clean, crowded, people from all over the world!!!!

Yelp
Naturally maneuvering a large terminal will take time and terminal 4 is one of the busiest ones. I gave myself 2 hours as recommended. I work at another airport and will never understand those that have poor time management, and later make it someone else's problem. I'd rather sit there sipping on coffee or walk around rather than rush. TSA five start moving the line fairly quick 20 min for us, because hubby doesn't have pre check yet. Plenty of restaurants and places to relax. One negative for me is the closed doors on the front of the building and only one door for entry/exit.
google avatar

Joel H.

Yelp
This is one huge, really huge terminal. It is beautiful with plenty of shops and restaurants. Give yourself plenty of time if your leaving from here as travel from one end to the other can take a fair amount of time. Having our TSA precheck was a huge savings in time. Not only did we get on a shorter line but it also moved very quickly. You'll move through the crowds by walking or taking the indoor beltway. Checking is was relatively easy and quick as they use very modern systems in this newer terminal. There are many places to stop along the way (Shake Shack) to your gate and sometimes you need to do that so once again... give yourself plenty of time to get in and situated. Once you find your terminal area there is plenty of space to sit and make yourself comfortable. They have a couple of really nice take-out coffee (and muffin) stands. Usually long lines but they move quickly. By budgeting a good travel time you'll be more comfortable here and not find any reasons to rush. Enjoy your flight. KUDOs to the team at JFK Airport Terminal 4

Yelp
Super busy airport, but things seem to run smoothly. They have a big seating area across from the gates which I think is nice since it reduces gate congestion. The seats have power for phone and laptop charging. The speakers work well and you can actually hear the announcements.
google avatar

Andrea H.

Yelp
I haven't flown into JFK in years. Pleasantly surprised how nice it is. Terminal 4 is a big terminal with 37 gates. There are two concourses, Concourse A and Concourse B. Boutiques and restaurants are between the two concourses. Airline lounges are in the A Concourse. Priority Pass members have a choice of a few lounges. Some close early and depending on what time you arrive there may be a wait to get in.
google avatar

Dimpie S.

Yelp
TSA line is insane and the gate was at least a 20 minute walk. Although there's less headache through security, the line, directions to gate, and overall management of the airport could be better. I understand it's a very large airport but for less mobile individuals it would be a nightmare. Food options are also less and not available near some gates

Yelp
Decent terminal, had expected it to be bigger than what I experienced, but it works. Had all the things needed, plenty of shops, food options and love that they do have a lot of lounge options - depending on if you have access. Security line looked long, thankful for Clear - was in and out of the security line in few minutes. However, the regular security line looks like it moved fast as well.

Yelp
So I found the most annoying thing about the airport were other people. Sure, this is a pain in the ass to get to from the city... we took the subway and then discovered while on it that our subway passes don't include the part to actually get you to JFK. So we sold our unused days to our subway passes to a guy for 10 bucks (we had 3 days left) and then was able to use the cash towards the passes needed to get to JFK. From where we were in the city, it was a loooong subway ride, but that isn't part of JFK. Back to the people. Obviously, this is a large airport with people from all over the world trying to get home or to their next destination. People can be so slow or unsure of themselves. Using the self-serve check-in process was painful to watch others in front of us. We actually split into two, and whoever got up first won. The instructions to put in your confirmation code and hit the CONTINUE button in any language are pretty simple, and yet people could not do it. This isn't the time or place to stand and talk to whoever you are with. It's business time, and you are holding others up. Once you can navigate around people who just stand in the middle of the walking area, you can quickly drop off your checked bags and get in line for security check that they have down like a well oiled machine. I loved that they had a Lego store in there, too! Made my day since I never got to it while in the city. LOL!!

Yelp
Have only been here once, and thankfully my arriving and departing flight were in the same terminal. Pretty easy to follow and there weee plenty of dining and shopping options. No complaints from me!

Yelp
The service for the shuttle bus is crazy the driver walks off and we were left just sitting there for at least 15 minutes he just walked away in the mean time another shuttle pulls up fills up with People and left. Is a

Yelp
I fly out of here when i travel with Delta Airlines and the new terminal 4 is so beautiful. Also, let me say if you are flying out of terminal 4 expect a lot of walking. That terminal is so big and has a bunch of gates that gates after a certain number have a take a elevator to a lower sublevel. So travel early and put your walking shoes on. If you have access to the Delta Skyclub they have that which a lot of people visit. I have to check that out one day. They are lots of eateries and places to sit. They did a beautiful job on the construction and this is my favorite terminal with my favorite airline Delta.
google avatar

Yelp
Avianca at terminal 4. Minimal customer service, belts were not working at the self check in kiosk. Good luck trying to find a agent to help you. We waited on line to get to the kiosk 1 hr, plus 35 minutes to self-check 2 pieces if luggage. To our luck, the belt broke and although the process takes 3-4 minutes to check the luggaes in, it took 35 minutes and 2 different agents to aolve the problem. In the end, one person came by and assisted to physically place luggage on the belt itself.

Yelp
JFK Terminal 4 is super long, and what I dislike the most is the long walk you have to take to your terminal when it is in the 40's and the way back to the AirTrain. There is plenty of restaurants you can eat at, as well as your convenient stores, as other retail stores. I would recommend TSA pre, cause the regular lines are long. It looks like they have a personal shortage because not many lines are open. If you have nothing to check in go to arrivals and there you will find TSA as well, not many know of this, and you'll go through this one in no time.

Yelp
So this terminal is not as big as I expected for an international airport. It might be widespread but to me SFO or Chicago are huge airports. Arriving here it was ok. Took the route of doing UBER or Yellow Cab to head to the hotel. There was an option THE CHEAPER ROUTE is air train and take subway train afterwards. But the HEAT and HUMIDITY with luggages that is NOT an option. Uber costs close to $80 one way to the hotel. Trains would costs less than $15 or $20 but its alot of walking and in and out of trains in the heat after a flight? UHM NO. Renting a car in NYC the PARKING FEES are high up there so even finding parking garages and STILL WALK .. Might as well use the train to go places. The JFK terminal is ok. The surroundings they carried Duty Free shops, Hudson News stores, Eateries like Shake Shack, Blue Pointe, Nathans, Starbucks, Le Brea Bakery just to name a few. The souvenirs here might be a better shot to buy if are done with your vacation because NYC canal street have the cheapest souvenirs and cheaper if you negotiate. Hudson News carries the souvenirs. They also have a LEGO store here with the cute statue of liberty built from LEGO's. This airport upon arrival was more than 1 hr drive to the hotel. But in my opinion, its a peaceful and relaxing way to arrive in a big city that does not sleep. This airport do have the Delta Sky Club areas. I flew in with Delta.(Terminal 4) The restrooms were ehhhhhhhhhhh ok as far as cleanliness. SFO airport is still in my opinion have the cleanest restrooms by far. I would still fly in to JFK if I was to come back again and visit NYC.

Yelp
I'm here every month and sometimes weekly! I would say knowing the layout these days, it's a breeze. TSA pre check makes it better than ever. I zip right through the lines and wait in the sky club til my flight is called. The only thing that isn't my favorite is landing back here the walk to the baggage claim is rough, but it's efficient.
google avatar

Lynn F.

Yelp
Oh, the humanity. Insane winding uphill hike from arriving plane into the terminal. Once inside you know you're not in Kansas anymore. So many people scurrying about, litter, over abundance of fast food that's not so fast, lines for everything, gate queues spill out onto the walkway, constant bustle, at least one short moving sidewalk. No comfy lounge chairs, no art on the walls, at least the overhead announcements are intelligible. Highlight is a very large bar area. This place does not invite lingering. My plane over 2 hours delayed and I'm afraid to leave my chair or end up on the floor with the spillover. Not gonna happen with my new jacket. I mean, what's all that stuff stuck to the carpet. And some dark pellets... I don't want to know.
google avatar

Michelle O.

Yelp
11/16/23 I must say compared to my last experience this definitely was a vast improvement. Although busy and long lines, it was extremely orderly. Unlike other times , precheck, clear etc lines were all clearly delineated and moved smoothly. Hopefully this will all remain.
google avatar

Diana S.

Yelp
Worst airport ever! You have to walk about a mile to go thru Customs, and even if you used the MPC App they ask you the same questions & repeat pics! Then the TSA line was 40 minutes long & they pulled out 2 of our bags, making us wait another 15min only to find there were no problems. We would have missed our flight if this kind gentleman hadn't told us about a Shuttle Bus to our Gate B55, which was another mile away!
google avatar

Danielle P.

Yelp
I mean, it's an airport. I prefer LaGuardia to this due to proximity to my apartment, but most international flights leave from here, so I found myself at JFK once again on a recent trip to Paris. Customer service here is "New York nice" - you get the information you need without the sugar coating. After being a little bullied at the bag check for being on the wrong line (apparently using the self-tag kiosk is now required, goodbye human customer service) I got through security quickly. A short walk later, I was at the Delta lounge living my best life, which is what I mostly care about when it comes to my rating of an airport. Not the worst place to fly in and out of, but not the best either. I will say that I've had more luck here when it comes to finding another flight when mine has been canceled or delayed than LGA.
google avatar

Leah M.

Yelp
Thankfully some terminals t JFK re better than others. Terminal is slightly cleaner but TSA and the process is much smoother. We were able the get through the line in a reasonable time without any delays. A few people were sidelined but appear to pass l test. JFK tend to be the gateway to the world. In my case my way to Ghana and Senegal where I had a wonderful experience.
google avatar

Lea F.

Yelp
We had a flight out through delta which brought us to this terminal. Staff were very kind and patient. My grandmother needed a wheelchair which was easily accessible. Multiple staff members were available to transport her and other people who needed a wheelchair. The desk was right at the entrance so she didn't need to walk far. They also checked her and my mother in. The staff were very helpful here and our check in process went smoothly.
google avatar

Ruslan S.

Yelp
Always the worst experience out of all the airports I travel through. They really do hire the workers who live as close as possible to the workplace. Staff always yells at travelers. Things go missing out of the bin on the TSA line (keep your belongings in your bag), I get that places like this get busy, absolutely. But yelling at the customers indiscriminately like they are in a "camp" isn't appropriate. I wish higher ups looked at the review or went incognito and lived the experience. Because it's ridiculous how it's such a common occurrence. And this is with TSA Pre-check, which should be a smoother experience. Makes the airport and the city look really, really bad. Trash.
google avatar

Alvin A.

Yelp
JFK's International T4, which I believe Delta Airlines dominates the majority of the terminal. I noticed the first curb side check-in belongs to Delta. You can basically travel and connect to any major city on so many International Carriers all around the world from NYC. Free WiFi connection is super fast. Entering TSA is a breeze, there's also TSA Precheck and you may find NYPD, Military personnel and airport security making it very safe and secure. Many Duty Free shops, restaurants, Hudson News Stands, the only eatery that was open near the A Gates prior to departure was McDonald's. Was hoping for a coffee shop to be open, Dunkin' and Peet's Coffee wasn't open around the 8:30-9am hour. It's not as up to date and beautiful like the other terminals I've utilized at JFK like T8 operated by American Airlines and T5 operated by Jet Blue. Easy connection to another terminal at JFK by using the AirTrain.
google avatar

Jody S.

Yelp
Been to this terminal many, many, many times and this is my first time back post pandemic (wait, can we officially state that?) for a work trip with some extra get away time and I honestly think it is pretty much the same. The terminal is still relatively new, a lot of restaurants, food, and shopping options. Tons of people rushing to and from gates. My main problem that still persists is the bathroom stall size. It is not sufficient if you are traveling with luggage or even a stroller. Other places have solved this problem but this can use some work.
google avatar

Paul P.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite airport terminal in NYC because it has both a Delta Sky Club and an Amex Centurion Lounge. What more can a traveler want?! And if you can't access a lounge, well there's always Shake Shack! And no you probably can't bring your outside food purchase to eat in the club lounges, what are you, a barbarian?! Haha, I'm kidding... although maybe it is kinda rude to order food from one place, then go to another place to eat that there. I dunno. Going through security is also a breeze with CLEAR or TSA PreCheck, so worth paying for if you're not trying to hide your fingerprints or something.
google avatar

Richard D.

Yelp
Not sure why we rate these things. It's not like the Port authority reads these reviews and uses the feedback to improve things. I've had many experiences coming through here and I think they're more negative due to the workers at Clear, Delta and Aero Mexico in not being helpful. The space itself is large and laid out decently. It's not great, but not the worst either.
google avatar

Raj S.

Yelp
I mean JFK is one of the main airports in the world , and look at this duty free shop .. it's a joke !! JFK officials have to visit mumbai / New Delhi airports to see what duty free really means ! Poor selection of liquors and very limited quantities . Price wise too, it wasn't cheap. Apart from liquors even other things like perfumes, lotions etc were not that good . Service was slowwwwwwww.. it takes them 15 mins per customer and if you are in a hurry. U will miss the flight ! Very average experience overall.. terminal 4 duty free was not good . Food in terminal 4 was very very expensive and. Wasn't that tasty

Yelp
flight was 2 hrs delayed & they didn't tell us y!! was served moldy cheese & they didn't tell us y!! gonna fly spirit next time.

Jonathan C.

Yelp
They have many of the same issues as they've always had, plus some new ones. There's some construction going on at JFK, especially around Terminal 4. They recommend not getting dropped off at the regular departures curb because there is lots of traffic and significant delays. They recommend taking the AirTrain instead, which I did, and there seemed not to be any delays through the AirTrain. Same thing for arrivals: AirTrain is better than taking a Uber/Lyft/taxi. You can of course take a taxi in addition to using the AirTrain, but it's better to transfer at Lefferts or Jamaica, rather than taking a taxi to/from Terminal 4 directly.
google avatar

Yelp
First I want to say this. Today my flight at Delta got canceled and this is the second time that yall canceled my flight to Miami for a curise for my mothers birthday and me and my mother was really looking forward to this cruise. And second yall are too ghetto and me and my family will never fly at JFK again!! Yall will be facing a lawsuit for emotional distress because I was really looking forward to this vacation and yall took that away from as!!! I hope you guys lose business!!! You company is disgusting!!!

Yelp
JFK airport in general is pretty terrible. I understand it's busy but it's so disorganized and not user friendly at all. When one arrives at JFK, you have no idea where you are. There are no signs showing which terminal you are at. There are not enough sign boards to show which direction you are going. It's pure guesswork. You will know where you are when you see directions for other terminals, so by default you then know where you are. Terminal 4 is probably a little better than all the other terminals, hence two stars instead of one. As a Delta frequent flyer, Terminal 4 is what I go to most. The next part is really the people. I have yet to find a "nice" staff member. Everyone is abrupt and rude. If you need to ask a question, there is that fraction of a delayed moment to look at you with a blink of the eyelids. Like you are bothering the individual. That's a good response in comparison to some of the downright rude response, in particular to international travelers. What a great way to welcome folks to New York!
google avatar

Phil H.

Yelp
Open, bright and airy Terminal 4 resembles a shopping mall to me and its not too bad overall. You enter it pretty much right past TSA checkpoint but your gate can be a long walk so be prepared. Places to grab some food, items to snack on for the flight, and some sit down eateries. What I loved is that the American Express Centurion lounge is just past security check area. It's so choice and a great way to relax while waiting for your flight. I've definitely seen nice upgrades at the NYC airports over the recent years. This is much better than what it was in the past.
google avatar

Yelp
Massive terminal which is still expanding and struggling to keep pace. Arrival experience: Better signage is needed throughout to quickly locate the quickest exit and ground transportation. Departure experience: easy to get through security (thanks to TSA pre-check) but I was disappointed once I reached my gate (B42) - there were no food options in the area. I had to take the escalator back up to find some snacks. There was a work crew nearby working on renovations and I could only hope they install a food mart or kiosk in this area. Overall dreadful experience - no one should feel the need to run a sprint (or speed walk but you'll be tired) throughout the terminal to exit, chase their Uber outside because some security personnel doesn't want shared ride drivers to pick up passengers in the designated pickup zone. Complete chaos - for context my flight arrived in JFK at 4:30pm. As a native NYorker, I was very disappointed by how much has changed (for the worse) in a few years.
google avatar

Sonia L.

Yelp
Terrible service. The ladies in Gate 48B are all young girls and they are rude and disrespectful. They treat flyers with so much disrespect. These kids need more training especially on customer service Don't get me started on TSA. Horrible airline Terminal 4.
google avatar

Sharon L.

Yelp
Avoid JFK for any international flights. The TSA lines are horrible and disorganized. Folks are jumping the line and it's hundreds of folks in line. If you have an 8p flight you're going to miss it. Hire a new vendor to organize JFK 4T has it wrong! VERY Frustrating.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Terminal 4 has many restaurants & shops for everyone. It was clean (except the bathrooms) but maybe they just hasn't gotten to them yet. Friendly curbside baggage check & airport security. Getting there early is always a plus to make sure things run smoothly. No real complaints.

Yelp
As the largest terminal at JFK, Terminal 4 is known as the international air terminal and is also the largest privately operated terminal in the country. I've never been too high on JFK in general, but I've always had a soft spot for T4 despite it not being my favorite terminal (#1). Some things I love: * For folks who have been to other international airports, this looks the part. It is bright, spacious (#2), and a lot easier to navigate here than most of the other domestic terminals. * It is the international terminal afterall, which means there are flights from carriers from all alliances. These include China Airlines, Kenya Airlines, Emirates, Etihad, Caribbean Airlines, Air India, Copa Airlines, and Aeromexico. Hell, they have Uzbekistan and Kuwait Airways. That's a wonderful thing. * They have the Centurion Lounge (#3) here. That's a huge deal for anyone who cares about airport lounges. * It's continually expanding. By 2023, there will be a new arrival/departure hall modernization, along with 10 new gates in Concourse A. This will be super helpful and help JFK get with the times. Some things I'm not fond of: * For many international travelers, this is their first stop in the US. Given how constrained the airport is and all the difficulties that come with traveling in New York, it's a very bad first impression for what should be a world class airport. * Added to the above, the overall customer service experience is not great. In fact, across the board they're extremely pushy and rude. While I've had some good treatment in the lounges and first class areas, the rest of the place could use an overhaul of standard training / service. * Food options were abysmal prior to the renovation, but not that exciting even now. Beyond the mediocre options that include Buffalo Wild Wings, Bento Sushi, La Brea Bakery, Shake Shack, and Camden Food, there is also the Palm Bar & Grill and Marcus Samuelson's Uptown Brasserie. Even though the Five Borough Food Hall is temporarily closed, no one is really missing out on that at all. * Pickup is already a struggle in most parts of JFK, but it's especially bad here. The men who wait outside of arrivals will likely try and hustle folks by offering cash only cab rides that are inflated prices to/from the airport. While I don't think most folks are savvy enough about the AirTrain to public transit, it remains to be seen if the new improvements projected next year will make a difference in this arena. __________ (#1) That would still be T5. My review of 10 years ago still stands today: https://www.yelp.com/biz/jfk-airport-terminal-5-jamaica?hrid=7oaLU5oRNBpx6pkM0joHrw&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) (#2) 2 million square feet spacious. That's massive. (#3) https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-centurion-lounge-jamaica

Yelp
Dropped family off tonight at terminal 4 & it was a lovely experience. The staff were all very courteous, super helpful and made the process a smooth one for us. Definitely flying Delta next time!

Yelp
The pickup area for terminal 4 is a disaster. Vehicles stopped everywhere , and there were signs for taxis and ride shares only; but absolutely none for private pickups. The road fork around the ride-sharing pickup island creating a pickup possibilities on 4 sides. It's quite a nightmare wondering where to stand as you wait for your family member to drive over. It's on the lane that is furthest from the terminal building: on the other side of the ride-sharing island. You're welcome.

Yelp
Don't bother with the Clear line at JFK! Takes way longer than regular TSA. What a waste of time and money!

Yelp
Overall terminal 4 was a pretty nice terminal to be stuck in for 2 and 1/2 hours. Plenty of dining options and places to sit where you could plug in your computer and phone. Good for a several mile walk if you're just bored and waiting.

Yelp
Security was the worst. When I accidentally put water in my bag and it went to the opposite side, no one was there to pick it up and give it to me. Unbelievable Service. Took 30 minutes we almost missed our flight

Yelp
Been to this Terminal a handful of times and I must say, it's pretty efficient overall. There are plenty of kiosks to use in order to check in for your flight. Thankfully, I arrive hours before my flight to allot enough time to get through TSA. This Terminal is spacious and clean with a decent amount of dining options to choose from. I will be back sooner rather than later.
