Terminal 5

Great venue, the bartenders are hit or miss. Some are brothers and some are out to ruin your night, (I don’t actually believe that they are but heck, I’m feeling dramatic). I saw Mk.Gee live at Terminal 5, reviewing a venue is such an interesting experience, I guess it all depends on the quality of the concert, the ambiance, the people you came with, the people standing next to you, the people standing next to the people standing next to you, the amount of drinks the people next to you have had, you get the point. There are tons of variables and terminal 5 keeps it pretty consistent. Kudos. Will be back.

Terminal 5 is one of the very best places to experience a concert in NYC. I was fortunate enough to get the premium VIP 1 experience at this venue, not once, but twice for two consecutive nights to see one of my favorite bands from the great nation of Japan. BABYMETAL. I arrived hours early at the venue for my appointment check-in and I could immediately see and understand the separate line queues that Terminal 5 had set up. Very appreciative, I stood in my line with fellow fanatics and it was a nice clean and safe block and I stood for hours chatting with fellow fanatics until the time came for my line to check-in. The organizers of this process did an outstanding job of communicating everything to the lines and how the process of getting in would work. Having our ID's ready, to confirm ages and personalized VIP check-in and having our digital tickets ready along with giving us distinctively colored wristbands to allow the check-in process to go smoothly. Which it did. After being given my VIP gifts, I was allowed to immediately purchase merchandise at an area that was clearly marked and visible. After doing so, I was able to either, arrive to my front barrier spot on the floor (in front of the stage) or could have visited the numerous visible bars located on each level (from what I recall) and bathrooms were also clearly marked. Everything inside Terminal 5 was clean and well cared for. The main floor and everything around that I noticed was spotless and I heard good things from others there that bathrooms and bars were also well taken care of. I felt very comfortable and very safe inside. Speaking of that, I will say that Terminal 5 had the best Security Staff that I have ever seen in any venue anywhere in my life! I am not exaggerating. I can specifically point out that the gentleman in charge of the Security Staff was an individual who I would say goes "above and beyond" the scope of the job. This gentleman was exceptionally accommodating. To this note, what I mean is Security Staff handed out Poland Springs to anyone who felt like they needed to hydrate. They were also very courteous when interacting with us. Also, fans who were crowd surfing on their way to the front barrier, the Security Staff were very quick to accommodate the safety of that crowd surfer coming over the barrier. There were no accidents and everyone was perfectly safe from what I observed. This was my experience from two nights, not just one. I can claim that Security Staff working at Terminal 5 are one of the very best in all of NYC. The Audio at Terminal 5 was also perfectly fine. The music was crisp and not too overly base-boosted and nothing was 'shaking' so for a heavy metal show I was very pleased with these acoustics at Terminal 5. Exiting the venue at the end of the shows was also perfectly smooth. The Main Exit was a minor queue to leave to the street however employees were present to guide everyone on their way out. What else can I say about Terminal 5? I would rate it more that 5 stars if I could. I was very honestly surprised with my exceptional experiences here over the two nights!

Absolutely will always recommend buying tickets /going here! The staff and overall environment are amazing! I have been to Terminal 5, 2 times in the span of a few months, and got floor tickets and preferred balcony tickets. 1.) If you are short, wear platforms if you are on GA!! 2.) Preferred Balcony is amazing and 100% worth the money! You get a straight shot view of the stage! Buuut you have to stand. 3.) Get there 1-2 hours or even more before doors open if you want to be further up in line!

I hate when an artist I really love goes here because guaranteed the event is being oversold. Every time I come here the crowd goes out all the way to the bar. Go really early if you want a decent spot! Otherwise you’ll be watching the show from the small tvs! The stage is too small for the venue in my opinion. And not every artist is shown on the stage big screen! Sometimes it’s just graphics. I would say for the most part staff is friendly aside from some of the inside security who seem to hate their job and I can’t say I blaim them! ALSO terminal will also almost have cheap tickets a few days/day of the show. I’ve seen tickets as low as $4 ! I also see a lot of times they sell first entry and quick pass entries for like $40. They seem to really try to make as much money as possible lol. Get the pass if you know the show you’re going to is popular or you can’t get there super early . They do have 2 more floors which seem to never be overcrowded so I’m not sure why they always charge about double the price to stand up there. When they could easily relieve some of the crowdedness from the main floor and let people go upstairs! The videos are from the latest show I went to which was babymetal. While I had a good time it was hard to see the stage from the side. There’s an obstruction of view but it’s way better than being in the back of the venue!

I saw baby metal and the venue was so nice and they had AC. Also the lighting and stage equipment were so pretty. It's mostly standing space tho just be aware.

Absolute trash, this venue. My second time being here and my second time not being able to see or move. For sure it was booked above capacity. If a fire broke out, we would have been dead. It took a good 10 minutes, literally, to get around a corner and many fights nearly broke out in the process. Could not enjoy the concert due to the aggravation - and that's not even taking into account not being able to see the stage. Never again. I will happily miss even my favorite acts here and catch them elsewhere or just listen to them at home if they play there. Not worth the stress and certainly not worth the money. I've included my amazing view, which looks only very slightly worse than my view on the previous visit. It's in the best spot in the house - where one can actually literally breathe at all due to the heat, and not be constantly pushed and elbowed. (A lot more than your average nyc concert, that is.)

Solid venue. Tons of space with three floors, so you can easily see the stage from anywhere. I saw Speed and Knocked Loose and they both killed it. Whoever booked Loathe and Show Me The Banjo was bugging though lmao... Still, kudos to the audio engineers because the sound mix in the venue was great. Didn't need earbuds, honestly. Wasn't hot even in the crowd, either. The only bummer was the price of drinks... $20 for a can of wine lol. Would come back for future shows. I had fun.

I’ve been to T5 for a bunch of different shows, and it never disappoints! The staff is always super friendly, and the production is on point every time—great sound, lighting, and the vibes are always perfectly tailored to the artist. This place knows how to put on a show!

I found myself at Terminal 5 to see two bands I follow who were co-headlining a tour: Chromeo and The Midnight. I enjoy seeing live music, but most of the bands I follow play at venues in Brooklyn. This was the first time I was going to one of similar size in Manhattan - and while I've heard mixed things about Terminal 5, I was excited nonetheless. Terminal 5 is located all the way on the West Side on 56th St and 11th Ave. It's kind of in a food and transportation desert, the only thing in its immediate vicinity are a bunch of car dealerships. The outside is very understated, kinda typical of these smaller venues I've been to. Once inside, however, the atmosphere changes and it gives way to a more grand presence. Decor is kinda plain/industrial which works so that each artist can add their own flair to their show. The main floor is home to general admission (standing room) which houses a bar in the back. There are also two other balcony levels which serve as VIP areas; I noticed they have stools up there as well as video streaming of the show. The stage sits pretty high which makes it easy to see from the main floor; acoustics were good as well. Overall, Terminal 5 was fine - the venue itself isn't bad I just think it's inconvenient to get to and can offer more for the size of the space. I've been to smaller venues that provide more in terms of aesthetics and drinks so that aspect fell a little flat for me. Nevertheless, Terminal 5 put on a good show, and I would't hesitate to return if an artist I follow is playing here.

Pretty tight security at the front door. Three levels of general admission standing room only. Good sound system. Unless you are at the railing on the two upper floors, don't expect to see much of the stage from up there. Plenty of bars for overpriced libations. Men's room was fairly clean at the end of the show I attended.

We did not try any food or drinks because we just came from dinner. We paid extra to enter early and didn't want to leave our spots by the stage. So, I can't comment on service or food, but security entering the facility was thorough with metal detectors, ID checks for alcohol, and bag checks. View and acoustics were great from stage area, but I cannot comment on the rest of the space. I have read that areas of the second and third floors are reserved for VIPs and Friends/Families. We had a nice time and I would return. But, there was no seating, so prepare to stand throught the night. Because we arrived early to be by the stage, we were standing for 4 hours straight.

I love the space!! It's big has good views of the stage. The more I walk around I find different area I never discovered before. The service depends on who rent out the space. When I went there was no food served.

While not a native New Yorker, Terminal 5 evokes a sense of nostalgia reminiscent of the music venues I frequented as a teenager. It brings back memories of attending concerts with friends when my mom granted me a bit of freedom by not attending. The venue's spaciousness ensures that regardless of your height, you'll have a clear view of the stage from anywhere on the main floor. Arriving early is advisable for prime spots, but don't overlook the balcony for its scenic views. Terminal 5 boasts good acoustics, provided the sound system isn't overly amplified, resulting in a clear audio experience. I enjoyed seeing Victoria Monet from the main floor and later Ari Lennox from the side balcony, both experiences were equally enjoyable. The bar serves well-crafted drinks, considering it's a concert venue, and the security and entry process are swift and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to attend another show here in the future.

Went to see mum (Roìsín Murphy) there back in September. The venue is very spacious. It reminds me of a venue we have here in STL the Padgett. The ticket prices were very reasonable. Drink prices I cannot speak about as I was too excited to see the concert than I was worried about adult beverages. If you get a chance to go see one of your favorite acts in NYC hopefully they'll be at Terminal 5!!! Here are some pics. I highly recommend this venue.

Just the usual entertainment venue for many entertainment events, spacious interior, great light system, great sound etc. like most NYC events sociological drinks can be on the pricey side but hey it's Manhattan it's expected. Water is $5.99, bathrooms were actually kept in order by staff and security wasn't too aggressive. In all a successful event by Masterbeat. Just was kinda meh for me though as the DJ is my one of my favorites and not sure why the music wasn't lively. In all great event space.

I have been to Terminal 5 several times for various events. Often times it is GA, standing room only, but there are VIP sections. On occasion, you can get seating especially if you arrive early. It all depends on the reason you're there. It's a large venue that can become whatever you want, with multiple bars. If it gets too crowded, the temperature inside can become pretty warm; although, they don't seem to fill to capacity since COVID which is great. The last time I was there I had some tasty bite-sized hors d'oeuvres in the VIP section which helped me hang out longer. I always have a good time here minus the waiting forever outside before getting cleared to go inside. Whether I'm dancing all night or sitting while spectating from above, it's always a memorable night.

Speakers are ok, they don't use AC the whole show and to top it off they over-book the place to the point that it feels genuinely unsafe. They also wouldn't let people leave out of the many doors and forced people to leave through the stupid tiny hallway. Not to sound morbid but the recipe for a dangerous crowd-crush is SUPER apparent when you're in there. Would only go back to see a band on the up-and-up or on their last tour ever, would not go back if I have the choice to. Where the Fire Marshal at?

I came here for N.Flying's "Do What U Want" tour earlier last month. The venue was a bit far from public transportation but the walk was about 10 minutes if you walked fast. No outside food and drink were allowed so make sure to fuel up before entering the venue as they only sell beverages (I saw water and alcohol) and no food. They also made us past through a metal detector before we could enter. The view from the floor was pretty good no matter where you stand. There were no loud speakers or TVs (like at concert stadiums) to block your view of the stage. This was the closest I've ever been to a kpop group for a concert! At times the background track overpowered the volume of the microphone but overall it was alright. Whoever worked the lights did a GREAT job as the lights turned on/off and changed colors to the beat of the music which made for an awesome concert experience. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked.

I have never felt more unsafe at a concert in my life. This place needs to be shut down by the fire department. Parents: I HIGHLY recommend not letting your kids go to shows here. It is operated so recklessly and irresponsibly. Not safe for teens. I went to the PJ Harvey show last night and the venue was WAY oversold. They packed people into the venue in such an unsafe way with zero crowd control built in. There were no egress paths and it took us 10 minutes to walk the 15 feet back to the exit to escape the crush of the crowd. We left the show as soon a I realized how recklessly the venue was being operated. We heard maybe 3 songs, and were never even was able to see the stage through the crush. Total waste of time and money. If there had been so much as a small fight in the middle of the room, it would have triggered a crushing stampede. Someone would have been killed.

I've seen a couple of different shows there and it's great. If you're not on the floor right up front, you won't be able to see a whole hell of a lot it's unfortunate, but true all that being said. If you need a kind of different place to go where you have your own individual bathroom, you could definitely go in in your own private bathroom, and the middle of a rock concert and unload.

I went to the Jack Daniel's Art Beats and Lyrics Free Event and BABY!!!!!!!! We had TIME LAST NIGHT!!!! The art was definitely a vibe and definitely brought some Brooklyn ethnic background of today's color world. The drinks we tried were the Jack Honey with lemonade and the cranberry apple with Jack apple. The DJ was playing them tunes for real. The art was a pleasure to see. The bartenders they had was rocking they were amazing

Don't waste your money here, one of the worst venues in NYC. A friend and I spent extra on top of the already expensive tickets to get mezzanine level access. We arrived well before the band was to start, but the mezz was already overbooked, and we could NOT SEE THE BAND AT ALL! And I'm 6'2" tall, but that is no help when you're trying to enjoy the band below. The clearly have a giant air conditioning system, but they refuse to use it, creating a hot, uncomfortable place you need to stand in for hours at a time. The band went on late, extending the standing time. This is NOT just my one time experience, many friends who've been here report similar issues. It feels like this venue is only interested in packing as many people as possible and spending as little as possible on your comfort or improving sightlines. Calling them on the phone prior to the date doesn't seem like an option either. The bars have plenty of capacity it seems (be prepared to shell out $$ though) and the bathrooms were nice enough. But who cares about all of that, if you can't see the band. Because of it's remote location, food and drink options are very limited. It's quite a shame, because this venue seems to attract some of the best bands.

If you don't show up early and the show is popular, you might end up watching the show from a hallway off the side of the stage. You can't even see. I think this is one of the worst venues I have ever been to and I actively grimace when I see an artist I like announce a show there. I won't even bother with tickets unless it's something super special to me or a standalone opportunity.

Came to see PJ Harvey last night. I guess when they say doors open at 6:30 for an 8 pm show, you should get there at 6:30 or 7 latest. I had to come at 8, and by that point there was nowhere you could go that had a clear view. The main floor was packed to a dangerous extent. I hadn't been to something that crowded in a long time. Literally body to body, moving around was almost impossible. I was in the back and could only see the tops of the performers. There are generally not good sight lines in the club. My friend stood on a chair to be able to see at all, and a security person came and took the chair away. Decided to try upstairs, where there are two levels of mezzanines that circle around the sides and back of the venue. As people had already snagged the spots in front with sight lines and weren't moving, we could only catch glimpses of Polly and the other musicians. I gave it two stars because PJ Harvey is great, and I could experience the experience. Also, the sound was really good, and I could hear everything clearly, if not see. Probably won't be back though.

Pretty decent venue with atleast 5 bars on the first floor, anywhere you stand is an amazing spot to see the stage. People who worked here were nice. There are 3 floors. Audio wasn't stellar but decent. Overall a great experience for an affordable price

dear Yelpers please stop rating all these venues so low. so much not deserved. so anyway, I came to T5 for the first time for Royal Blood this past Monday. MY SWEET GOODNESS was the place packed. And as soon as the opening band came on (Cleopatrick - have a listen to them plz) the place got packeder. I literally was shoulder to shoulder, hip to butt with people around me in all directions. Guys would push people around to try to move forward, we would elbow them back. Security wouldn't stop them, but we were SO PACKED we couldn't even be pushed around. I made some close friends this day and am hoping I made zero COVIDs because... that.... is where the star gets lost. The sound is just wonderful, the venue has multiple levels where apparently people can BREATHE, there was a joyous mosh pit (people jumping, not pushing so hard) and people flying overhead all concert long. All the stuff you like in concerts. These guys are also playing bigger venues like Camden's amphitheatre, so I appreciate T5 as a smaller place that a well known band would be willing to play. Really the only problems I have: either the floor was overcrowded or security was not built up enough to keep things reasonable, and they shooed us away at the end when we wanted remaining set lists and guitar picks still on stage. STILL ON STAGE and they were cleared off instead of handed out. Not cool. Mandatory deduction. but only one star. come on Yelpers. y'all are gonna come back here anyway so quit your 2 star stuff. (and please drink outside concert venues - every single one everywhere overcharges for alcohol. your own fault)

The worst music venue in NYC. It was overbooked by so much that probably 50% of attendees had literally no view of the stage. They refuse to let you use all available exits and force thousands of people through a single hallway so you pass by the merch line. People were starting to panic and the security people had no interest in safety.

Terminal 5 is one of the smaller venues in New York. When I say small, don't misunderstand what I mean. It's definitely not the bar stage variety. It has a main floor as well as two floors above that wrap around so you can see the stage and different angles. The sound system is very loud and I ended up actually putting on ear plugs. I I've been there for a couple of shows. There seems to be ample security that walk around. They also check for weapons as you come in. Parking can be a bit of an issue if you drive into the city because of the area. I was super lucky to get a parking spot directly around the corner. I only had to walk around the corner in about a half a block. That isn't my usual New York City parking experience

Been here 3 times and loved every show! Staff is so sweet only complaint is the speakers on the side of the stages block your view when the artist goes to the very back of the stage

Came here for Dabin. Had a lot of fun. Most the staff was great. Just watch out for one bartender MatthewH. Tall older bartender w gray hair. He was charging $35 per Redbull vodka. Was waiting to get served and I cleaned an area to lean on on the first floor bar. Got yelled at for cleaning the area. 5 mins later got yelled at that I wasn't in 'the line'. Got a water and redbull vodka and saw the bill was high but I wasn't sure since it was my first time there. There was an option to email the bill to myself so I did as I wanted to double check it. Tested it by getting another redbull vodka and water at the next bar and was charged $24 instead of $41. I should've emailed the second receipt to post to compare. Other friends told me drinks from him were ridiculously high which is why they stopped getting drinks altogether.

Had the best time ever at this place. Ella Mai was the artist and I was the fan living the 'what' VIP LIFE! Thanks to everyone who made my experience an enjoyable one. It was truly what TheDashExperience is all about.

I saw Ari Lennox in this amazing venue. Good drinks and cool bartenders. The lines were long but they moved fast. I see allot of concerts and this venue is one of my new favs

I recently attended this venue with my girlfriend, the first weekend of October. This was my first time coming here. We saw the band '311', as this is one of my favorite bands, and this was the closest venue they were playing at, this touring cycle. Parking was a bit difficult to find, but that was expected being in NYC. We arrived early knowing it would take awhile to find street parking. After we parked, we waiting on the outside line for the venue to open up and let people in (looked like a long line but moved quickly). The venue itself is nice. Has 3 levels, so if you are uncomfortable watching the performance in the lower GA around alot of people, you can go up to level 2 or 3, where there is more room and 'likely' less people standing up there. For a smaller venue like this, I feel like you get a better performance from the band. Makes the shows feel more intimate and interactive. Sound was great hear, and we had awesome views. I enjoyed being on level 2 vs level 1, but that's just my personal preference. The liquor and beers were a bit pricey, just an FYI, but plenty of locations to buy drinks from. But overall we had an awesome time here.

Saw Rina Sawayama here, and there were only general admission tickets available. Get there early: Some of my best views were from the phones other people were holding aloft--and we weren't far from the stage. It was that packed. The worst was the rude elements in the crowd: Drunk men whose idea of fun was screaming at the top of their lungs or couples dancing into you. It made me miss Madison Square Garden's seated shows.

Was here for Dabin! Amazing music and the sound in the venue was pretty good however they left the doors open most of the night when it was 15 degrees at 10 pm outside. You need an ID and proof of vaccination to get in! Don't understand why some people think that's a nuisance. Security does a pretty good job at keeping people off the sides of the main floor, but when a guy and his friend literally shoved (and hit a few of my group members) his way through us and hopped over the line, security let them through because the guy said he was associated with the DJ or vip or something. I don't believe it's fair to let people like that of the hook, there's literally an entrance way for VIP or friends of the DJ. Anyways a few of my friends were charged 30+ for red bull vodkas and I was astounded by the uncleanliness of the bar area (main floor). A water bottle is $5, not surprising since we're at a rave but apparently some people only paid 20+ for a red bull vodka after my friends left. Coat check was $4 each bag/jacket I believe and they were really slow, thank god I got there early. The views from the upper floors are pretty fun as well but there is more dancing on the main floor. Overall not too bad of a place for a rave but I'm sure there are other venues with better sanitation rules and prices for drinks. I'm really happy my friends and I had no other issues with security at the door, on the floor, and when leaving because usually bouncers and management are scouring the place to blame anyone for anything, even if they're wrong. -1 for being not that clean, -1 for overpriced drinks, or insane bartenders.

Oh Terminal 5, how do I hate thee? Let me count the ways. The laughably awful box office staff...the worst sound system in the city...the fact that it feels like an enormous fire hazard...no matter where you stand it's basically impossible to see the stage...well, at least the location is totally inconvenient.

Came here for a concert last night and was not disappointed. Although it was crowded, it did not feel like people were on top of each other and there was enough space for everyone to see the singer. I felt safe with the security guards in each corner!

I'm still trying to find the sonic sweet spot at this venue. Upstairs on the second level you're going to get tinnitus from the speaker array if you want to be anywhere close to the stage. But there's less pushing and shoving on the two upper levels. In with the Groundlings, you're getting bowled over by Alice the Goon and her many inconsiderate friends. But the sound still isn't much better from the edges. That means you have to get there super early to get smack in the middle or lest you become a Goon yourself. The sound seems to have improved on my third visit to Terminal 5, but it's still not great. They're still of the school of "louder is better", but it is a bit more balanced now. But that could solely be due to my moving around trying to find the best spot each visit. As of now it's the ground floor or by the sound booth on the second level. There are two bars on all levels so that helps with the crowds. The pours are standard NYC music venue pours... middling in both size and strength. Not the smallest cups I've seen, so there's that. That prize goes to the defunct Webster Hall. The best thing Terminal 5 has going for it, is that it's relatively close to my house. There's nothing in the area and it's not all that close to any trains. But it is close to the M57 bus that'll take you right to the the 72nd Street 1/2/3 and Gray's Papaya. There's not much outside a lone food cart for eats near the venue. Thanks to doNYC I've seen two free shows here. Brandon Flowers (from the second level right by the speakers, ugh) and AWOLNATION (ground floor with "I'm the Drunk Fun Ambassador, so I'm going to keep touching you" Guy). I really can't complain about free. But if I'm paying for a show, I don't want much of what Terminal 5 offers.

Great venue. Even if it's crowded it's a great spot. Just watch out after the event is over as then door people will scream at you, you can't even stop for a second. It's abrasive and kindly of weirdly uncalled for.

I liked the venue, typical SRO kind of place. We were on balcony, sound was very good, with plenty of places to get a cocktail. It's what it is, you'll like it if you're there to see something you like enough .

was just there to see G-Idle. Venue was insanely oversold. No one under six feet tall could see the stage. People fainted from the crowding. It was a mob scene. Bathrooms were filthy. This is not the right venue for a KPop show. Only a few tvs here and there to see what was actually happening on the stage, which is too low. It's the kind of place you go to get drunk with your friends and see a local band. Sound was good, not too loud, but very clear. We stood by the exit, that's how unsafe we felt. Would never, ever go back.

FRED AGAIIIIN There are bathrooms on every level. Quit lining up on the first level damn y'all are fucking stupid

I don't know why this place gets so much flak... I've been here for both concerts and raves and never had anything but the best time, which is not to say it hasn't improved over the years; the lobby was re-styled and made to look more like a club's with a modern LED ceiling, and the main room was given new flooring and a much better sound system. Security is easy and friendly, a simple walk through a metal detector. The room is a big black box reminiscent of clubs in Europe, taller than it is wide with two levels of balconies containing screens for viewing the show and benches to rest your feet. There's two bars on the main level, plus two more on the mezzanine level and an additional one in the summer on the open-air rooftop. One thing to note, this place gets DARK; if you're under the right side balcony and the stage lights go off it can be difficult to see in front of you. AEG's newer space Brooklyn Steel may have become artists' go-to NYC venue ever since it opened in 2018 but Terminal 5's accessibility, amenities, and unique feel make it the superior option in my opinion; given that and the recent development in the surrounding area, I can only hope that it stays around for many years to come.

A great place to see a show. Three floors, plenty of space. Staff is really organized and nice. I definitely recommend buying the quick pass if you want a good spot. Ruel sounded great!! We'll be back.

Bad space for a concert venue, you can tell they don't seem to care about the actual quality and visibility for concert goers, seems like the goal is numbers for them. Security was terrible, could not control the crowds of the obviously overbooked venue. The boss specifically was on some major mall-cop power trip when I attended, didn't focus on actual issues and instead of doing his job chose to feed his ego. Tried to press charges against a woman who attacked me at the venue that night and the head of security was incredibly rude and accused me of fighting when there were multiple witnesses to this woman being a problem in the venue throughout the night. I also heard the drinks were wildly overpriced, dont even think about finding parking unless you pre pay for one of those garages. Overall, I wouldn't ever go here again. I would feel incredibly unsafe and uncomfortable knowing that a lot of security was on a power trip, and the rest were overwhelmed by bad planning on Terminal 5's part.

Saw Kaskade for NYE and it was my first time at this venue. Not as huge as I had imagined, but still a decent space. There are multiple floors too, which I didn't get to check out as I stayed on the ground floor. There's just one bar and it gets pretty crowded, especially when I went on NYE with an open bar promotion. The lines can get pretty crowded but other than that it was a good venue! You can easily see the DJ if you get to the middle area even and that was cool to experience.

Great venue but absolutely horrible exit management at end of concerts. There is a whole wall of doors on the left side of the venue but they force the entire crowd through 3 narrow corridors on the right side of the venue. Big fire hazard and a huge risk if any situation occurred that would lead people to rush towards the exit. I will never go back to Terminal 5 for this reason and have submitted a complaint to the NYC Fire Marshal.

Fairly big concert venue in NYC similar to White Eagle Hall in NJ. Two floors, lots of open space and lounge chairs lined up around the bars. Layout is fine and never feels suffocating; alcohol prices are insane $9 for a bud light is very steep, make sure your pre-game before. All in all it's average, nothing spectacular.

After seeing AJR in concert, here in Fort Laurderdale, it immediately became one of our favorite bands. While planning a trip to NYC, I noticed they would be playing at Terminal 5 while we were there. Needless to say, we got tickets. Day of the concert comes. Saturday night. Line to get in moved by fast - but we were almost an hour late, so I'm sure if on time we would have had to wait long. As soon as we walked in, we could see the stage from where we were but from the side. We wanted a better view so went upstairs. This venue has 3 floors but one of them was half blocked for "family and friends". Almost no one was seated there, wasting that space, and making people mad they had to "fight" for a good spot. The band we were seeing is a bit young, so there were a lot of kids in the crowd. Parents were saving spots, sometimes more than they really needed but no staff member was really paying attention to this. The thing is that there is still plenty of space for you to stand and listen to the band, but you can't see at all, with everyone standing up front. I wish they had a better setup, or organization to maximize the space and allow as many as possible to have a good view. I walked around and finally found a spot, downstairs, where we could see a lot better, and dance to the music. Here's where I had an issue with the staff. He would pick and choose who he allowed to be in that area or not. There was no reason why he would ask some to move and others just allowed to stay, and bring more of their friends. I got to stay but I didn't like the attitude he gave some people. I did like that every floor has a bar and is pretty accessible to wherever you are standing. Drinks were a little high in price but hey, that's where concerts and events make their money. But, you better leave someone saving your spot, before you go get a drink, or you'll find yourself scrambling for a good spot again. AJR was hands down 5 stars, the venue, I give it 3 stars. It's not the best I've been but for the right event I would go again.

-First Impression- Kind of hard to find, as there was no signage outside until a few minutes before doors open (I was already there for about 45 minutes, thank goodness for GPS!) -Service- Security here means business! Good thing in case something happens, but when the show is over... You don't have to go home, but... You know the rest! -Did Not Like- People were smoking in the venue shortly after the show started. I didn't see where it was coming from, and I don't know if it was taken care of or I just got used to the smell, so I don't know how seriously that was taken. -Recommended?- If someone you like is performing here, have fun!

Great venue! It's pretty big. Just saw GrandMaster Flash and Empire of the Sun here and had a great time. Location: A little far from the train, long journey to 11th Avenue, but in sensible shoes you're good. Ambiance: Cool vibe, very welcoming. 3 levels. Bars on multiple floors/areas. We found a good spot on the second floor where we could lean on a tall table, but I would have been happy on the floor too, great view from all angles. The show was sold out but it still didn't feel claustrophobic. Bathrooms/CoatCheck: Ones on first floor for women suck, not many have working locks. The second level had individual unisex stalls and are much better Somehow I managed to get my coat before the rush. $4 per item. Sound: Invest in some better speakers. It really was noticeable but did not prevent us from having a great time. Misc: Drinks: Not badly priced for a concert venue. They take cards too. There is an outdoor patio for smokers of course some people just smoke cigarettes inside (get a patch!). Other types of smoking to be expected just like at any other concert wasn't really bothersome. I found the staff friendly. I would definitely see another show here again.

I really like this venue. When I step into terminal 5 it reminds me so much of a lot of the music venues you see in movies where its mostly standing and watching a band perform while having a nice cold beer. Maybe it was the concert I went to where it was more chill, I can see it being a bit crazy if it was EDM where people might shove and push. There are three floors in the venue. I thought the standing floor was cool and was able to see the band everywhere I stood down there. On the second and third floor if you are not by the rail it would be too difficult to see anything. There are two screens and very comfortable couches on the third floor and basically bars on every floor. A beer is $9, not too sure about mix drinks. I would definitely come back here for other performers!

I've been to Terminal 5 for a few Upfronts, as well as random free concerts and performances, most recently French Montana, Cardi B, and Bebe Rexha with guest performers. It's a fairly decent-sized venue; the sound is good. Bar is setup in the back areas of the main stage area so you can just sit there, drink and watch if you don't like being part of the mob scene towards the stage, there are also bars located on the other top floors. I'm not sure how a paid show is like here, but the ones I've attended weren't crazy packed and the lines have moved efficiently through the metal detectors and coat check. Bathroom lines can get long, but they are kept clean for the most part. I would come back for events here, but I think I would in general for any artist or event that I'm interested in, as I am supporting that more so than the venue housing it.

Saw goose there and they were awesome. Security was great, got you through the line quickly, checked vax cards, purses, pat down, metal detector. My one big gripe was how overpacked it was.

I saw Hippo Campus here and thought the venue wasn't as large as it was (seeing the photos afterwords proved it was). The exit is narrow which makes it hard to leave once a performance is over. The sound was good nothing to complain about. If you're here early you'll get in without any hassles. The line like most places grows until the doors open. Can't blame the venue on this one but the whole entire row of people behind tried to push their way forward (first time anything like that happened).
