Terminal C

Everything went great this time I traveled to Mexico. I had a connecting flight in Houston. The gate was clean, with EV chargers available and working , enough sitting space. I traveled with United and customer service was great!! The only a little sad thing is that one baggage never came to my final destination, but everything is getting fixed now! God bless you, guys

I flew United Airlines to Houston and most of my time at the airport was spent in Concourse C. Plenty of reader boards everywhere to direct you to the proper gate. Cleanliness was maintained in the concourses as well as the restrooms. Large variety of restaurants and shops and good experiences at all of them.

I had a two hour layover in IAH. I landed in Terminal E and took the Skytrain over to Terminal C. Wait time between trains was around 120 seconds at that time. Per the United App, it would have taken around 15 minutes to walk. Electric carts were quite plentiful and an option to zip you to your next gate. Terminal C was a mixture of old and new as it was going through renovations. It did seem like this airport was constantly under construction given the number of years I've visited Houston or transited through this airport. From Gates 1 through 15 you get a feeling for the bigger is better saying in Texas. Huge restaurants and lots of space but minus the crowds at this early hour. The other gates were in the older section of Terminal C. A United Club lounge was located before Gate 1 and opened at 5:30am. A Service Center was located by Gate 3 but wasn't yet staffed. Only one of their self service kiosks was working. This seemed to be a trend since none were working in Terminal E. Most of the stores were open around 6am and people were also sitting down in some of the restaurants or taking to go. Potbelly sandwiches, Ember, Pala and Starbucks were just some of the restaurants to choose from here.

A nice place to have in an airport for people to relax on a delayed flight. My massage was just perfect while wait for my flight to Hawaii.

I actually liked Terminal C in Houston's airport. It's big, but you can walk everywhere, so it makes is easier than Dallas where everything is huge and far apart! The terminal is new, modern, airy, with a fun design and touches. Decent food selection, didn't love the seating areas with tables mostly. They could use more restrooms in between gates, but they are clean and have water fountains outside, a plus for me! It is a nice terminal and it made it for a better travel experience. Not a bad place to have a layover!

This review is about my experience as a pickup driver at IAH Terminal C. My friend got off from a United Airline flight at Terminal E. After he picked up his luggage from the carousel C7, he proceeded to walk out of building to be picked up. For me, I am not familiar with IAH airport. I usually use Hobby Airport to catch flights and pick up friends. So, this is a culture shock for me. There were construction barricades everywhere. Plus, I had trouble hearing him as weak cell signals under the driveways overhead. So, I have to drive out of the airport complex, about 5 miles away to receive a clear communication. I just want to know his location and I could search on IAH website. He sent me pictures of where he was. But the signs didn't describe the terminal. I kept telling him to look for a big sign above the building entrance. It took him 5 minutes to find the sign with the address and terminal. Thank God! I just wish there were terminal name and address on every sign at the pick-up area.

George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston Texas was our layover stop to LAX. We flew into the E gates and walked to the D gates. The IAH is a really nice airport. Great architecture and use of the space. I really loved the under the water murals along the walls in the D gate section. There's many places to eat, drink and shop. Everyone's going to vending machines only service. Less human interaction. It's sad to see this. I had my mouth set on Cinnabon but the line was extremely long. Once we got to our section the hunger was gone...lol

FromHouston to Italy to New York, St. Louis to Aruba to New Jersey. This airport has been the place I typically travel to and fro. It has been challenging with all the construction but for the most part of you Uber there it is easy to get in to your destination . There is a cell phone lot where you can wait if picking someone up which is better than driving in circles to pick up your weary travelers. Plenty of places to eat inside . Sure will be returning soon.

Nowhere to sit. Flight delayed. Food closing. Not good. Evening flight. Terminal C

Arrived early morning on a Monday to IAH terminal C. Checking in my luggage to United Airlines. Got here by taking an Uber as I had read about all the construction work going on on terminal C. It was early morning but the terminal was busy with lots of travelers. Thank you United Airlines workers for being in a good mood and labeling my luggage correctly for my flight. Thank you for the TSA pre check people for working so hard. Just wish the tall man was not yelling at people, so loudly, as it was 6 AM in the morning. Too early to be yelling at people. Remember kindness works better. Yes, I will go through this airport again and yes I will arrive early. As I do enjoy traveling. Just remember to pack patience and wear a smile.

This airport is HUGE! And when I was here a few days ago (in June, 2023) there is a lot of construction going on. Signs say that they are building a new terminal! But, despite all the construction, I found everything to be well marked and easy to navigate. Signage upon entering the massive airport grounds are spaced out well and clearly mark what airlines go to what terminal. We were dropping off someone that was flying United - Terminal C. Fun fact: Terminal C has a TSA Precheck screening line, some of the other terminals do not.

After a long hiatus from flying, finally got away for the Thanksgiving holiday. Have to warn you, George Bush International Airport has alot of construction and was easy to get lost. May be worth the Uber ride to and from home and definitely leave an hour early so you don't risk missing a flight. Plenty of shops to pass the time and many great eateries. Most restaurants have charging ports and people watching is a must since International airports bring interesting people to pass your time.

Sept 2023 Terminal C: somebody please update this terminal. Yes, they have cool shops and dining. And some employees I observed were very kind and considerate. I could find my way around easily via signage. This ends my positive reviews. There is no charging in general seating. There are a couple designated charging stations- and there are lines to use them. There is almost no general seating for eating except a few tables in the food courts. So if you brought food or bought grab n go, good luck finding a place to eat (especially one that is clean). And that area's power ports- NONE of them worked. For real. The bathrooms are old, and rusty, in need of remodel. There is nowhere to pull out a laptop and get some work done on your three hour layover. Terminal C needs modernization. Yesterday already. This terminal includes international flights. How embarrassing.

When you name it after one of the most inept presidents, you get what you're thinking. Bad signage transitioning from one terminal to another. Hard to find baggage claim coming from one terminal to another and the oversized baggage claim is tucked away and you can't see it with no signs. The airport is being reworked and I get the transition but it's massive, plan on 30 min to get through the terminal and poor signage. Hopefully it will change soon enough

This is the terminal where you would pick up the Metro public transit to get to downtown Houston. If landing in one of the other terminals, one can use the Sky train to get to Terminal C. From there, one can exit to the main drag to catch the 102. I like that it doesn't have to stop at every terminal, instead expecting the passengers to come to them using airport transit. The 102 comes every half hour or so. It doesn't have luggage racks, so difficult if you have luggage. In reality, there weren't many tourists taking the bus. It makes a lot of stops near the airport, but then takes I45 straight down. It took about 75 minutes to reach downtown transit hub. From there, you can travel using light rail to the other parts of downtown.

Hands down, best sanitation team I've ever seen! Not only was the crew friendly, but they were on their hands and knees scrubbing crevices. They'd do rounds & check the work. No one was sourly. Travelers were met with smiles. I could hear them joking with each other. Exceptional manners, with responses including "mama", "ma'am ". You just don't see or hear this much anymore. Not sure if all the terminals have similar crews, but bravo Terminal C sanitation team! I'd sleep on your floor if I ever were stuck in the airport.

Due to construction on terminal E, we are using terminal c. If you arrive with time and not during peak season it's ok. Otherwise traffic jam can be insane as well as waiting on elevator and trying to fit everyone with luggage. Other option is stairs but also a hassle with luggage. Tip: arrive with plenty of time to not let the best of you out. Staff: friendly and fast

G dub sure knows his airports. This one is nice and easy to get through and all the planes come and go almost on schedule. Problems? Not. Gunna. Dewit.

Car was waiting for us and valet were helpful to load luggage. Customer service to pay was none! Stood at booth 2 people there 1 on the phone the other did not acknowledge me until I ask if it was the correct place to pay.

To whom it may concern, I am writing to express my disappointment with an experience I had at Terminal C departure driveway while dropping off my son for an international study abroad trip. When we arrived, a young driveway attendant with dark hair and a beard directed us away from the baggage check area at the front of the driveway, forcing us to cross several lanes to get my son's luggage to the curbside check-in. The attendant's directions were unclear, and he stood so close to my car that the alarm went off. He rudely asked me if I understood his directions, to which I replied that they were indeed hard to understand. Instead of assisting, he sarcastically suggested that I couldn't tell left from right. His rude behavior continued as he blocked my car with cones, making my son move them so we could leave. This unprofessional and sarcastic behavior tried to distract from a meaningful farewell moment. As a driveway attendant, his role is to help streamline the process and ensure everyone's safety, not to make things difficult for travelers. Please address this issue to prevent other travelers from having a similar horrible experience. The worker was young to mid 30s, dark hair and beard medium to small build, wore sunglasses could possibly be of Latin or Middle Eastern descent. Rude and sarcastic, and his directions were unclear had no idea what he was trying to tell us to do nor did he take any interest to understand where we were trying to go.

Came through here last week unfortunately. After disembarking the flight I needed to use the restroom. I walked into the first one in terminal C and its was flooded with a rank mix of urine and water. Absolutely disgusting.

If you connecting from international flight passport control and custom is good. But the security check to connecting flight is a joke. Some halfwit decided not to have a TSA pre check only at this security check. If you have a pre check get out via exit and proceed through regular TSA pre check. I guess they are trying to make your traveling sack.

It's been a super long time since I've been on a plane! Wow! The airport is taking a lot of measures during this time to ensure its customers and staff are safe. There are far less people here during this time of course and a lot of the businesses are closed. To hitch a ride you must have a mask. Passengers are allowed to wear whatever type of mask they want. They also make you stand six feet apart when checking in and going through to the gate. I will see how it is when I get onboard. To my knowledge United fills their planes to capacity as well as other airlines but some airlines do not. Happy and safe flying!

IAH is a United hub, so I frequently fly through it. I've never actually been outside of the airport, although I have had long enough layovers that I could actually take a trip out into the city. But I guess that goes to show that it's not a bad place to be in for more than a few hours. The Terminal C feels newer than the others. There are varied seating options and floor to ceiling windows, wide walkways, interesting architectural designs and top-notch bathrooms. They even have little fake succulent plant displays. It can get pretty crowded, but the turn over is usually still pretty good enough that I can find a seat. There are also so many food and beverage options, you're bound to find something you like. There is a light rail tram that makes two stops. If you need to walk within the airport, between the different terminals, it can be kind of a far walk. I do it to get chick-fil-a whenever I'm at IAH though! I thought the ipads mounted to the tables in front of each seat were tacky at first, but I'd take them over no tables or the junk seating options so many other airports have. AND if I really wanted to, I could use it to buy a drink or have food delivered.

Terminal is good looking and huge too. Good enough vendors. Seems to newly renovated. Had to take runway from terminal B to C but it was pretty quick. Although had to walk a bit. Restrooms were clean and tidy. Layout is pretty good.

I love IAH. I have been flying in and out of this airport for almost two decades. I have always have very easy travel experiences here. I love that the terminals are getting renovated and new lounges seem to be added frequently. I look forward to seeing what else happens here.

Always packed. Takes forever to get your luggage. They are always working on the roads so it gets confusing. Bathrooms need to be updated badly. For a major city this place can use a overhaul.

Traveling during the holidays can be stressful but at George Bush Intercontinental airport you will not experience that. Tons of helpful staff, clean, modern and directions everywhere so it's hard to get lost.

It's August 2021: Stay away from this airport because of major constructions. Best to Uber or Lyft getting out of terminal and have them meet at the nearest hotels in the area. I love this airport but currently with constructions until 2026 it's a mess to get into the terminals!!!

I have passed through the George Bush International Airport a few times. It has great signage and is very clean and well maintained. It is a busy airport and had the most people moving around that I have seen since before Covid. They have done some updates to the food service areas to help customers with social distancing and contactless payments.

This is the worst airport I've flown through, ever. It is so chaotic and the layout is poor. As soon as you walk in, it's a goat rodeo, no directions, no order, it's awful. Instead of being helpful the ground people just scream at you, literally. Not helpful or kind in anyway, whatever you do don't ask for help because if you do the screaming includes humiliation because you should figure what to do in your own, never ask. TSA is horrible as well, as we are going through we are being yelled at to pick a lane "there are 3 lanes use them all". Then you go down the lane with the shortest line, you get yelled at to go to a different line, what? This airport is filled with the rudest, most unhappy workers I've ever seen, from TSA to the gate agents, to the restaurant workers, is it something in the water? Horrible dirty disorganized airport, if you can avoid it you should.

Nightmare. You really have to pay attention to where you are going to pick up. They have a place for bus pick up and car pick up. The construction is a nightmare. You are backed up for miles getting to your flight. People are getting out of the Ubers or however they get to the airport running dragging there suitcases to get to there flights on time due to the traffic not moving because of the construction. It's terrible. Before the construction started it wasn't as bad. It was still somewhat confusing trying to navigate to the correct airline you needed to be at because people won't let you over and and there is one lane to some terminals you need to be at. It's confusing. The airport is big. It's clean. They do speak Spanish and English. The lines do move fast getting through security. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from that are good texas food.

I frequently am at this airport. I think it is a perfect size. They have very fun restaurants. iPad kiosks at restaurant seats at some places. I love that the airport has over three or four United clubs. A very main hub for my frequent flying. The tram system is extremely easy and actually fun to take.

On my last international trip - to Mexico, if that counts - I flew through IAH Terminal C. I found this terminal to be very beautiful and relaxing. It appears to have been recently renovated. The entire layout is very artistic and appealing in nature. Walkways, walls, even ceilings contain unique characteristics that provide an experience when walking or sitting in the terminal. A couple four-way confluences of walkways give a stadium-like echo when you stand in the center and speak even quietly. The larger seating areas feature lofty ceilings and it's pretty hard to feel claustrophobic in here. There are plenty of statues and Texas-themed things scattered throughout that round out that tourist or fun-lovers experience. Dining options are plenty, though pricey. The restaurants are all managed by the same company yet offer a variety of food types that could fit anyone's fancy. Most seating areas and tables are equipped with modern upgrades including power outlets to keep your devices ready to go and tablets for both ordering and entertainment. If I were to fly through IAH again someday I only hope I get to wander through this fun terminal again.

Terminal C is where United has its Houston hub. The airport is huge with large corridors which can be nice with all the crowds. There are plenty of dining options that that makes for a better experience. Because the terminal is so large it can take a while to walk from one set of gates to another. But this is better than the super jammed terminals at some of the other large hub airports.

Got to say, the designer team did an awesome job making this a spacious, modern transit area with ample charging stations for busy travelers. Applauded by the lighting choices... easy on eyes and ecstatically pleasing. The combination of soft white with blue and soft pink lights produces positive visual effects to early morning travelers. Been to dozens of airports, by far this airport got my 5 stars approval. Lots of food vendors available, comfortable cushioned seatings, well placed signs and art placement, nicely integrated, sophisticated yet uniquely laidback. Great job Houston!!

This airport tired exterior speaks nothing of its comfortable interiors especially at the arrival and departure levels. Everything from concourse to departure gate seating, washrooms, food and beverages establishments had been updated to reflect modern travelers needs and expectations. The arrivals baggage claim area and ground transport on the lower flower has not been renovated but still are decent and clean. Departure gate waiting areas offer comfortable seating with charging station, iPad for ordering food and payment station. Padded seating and nice overhead and desk lighting complete this awesome passenger seating area. There are many similar ones distributed throughout various departure gates: some are communal table style, others are heads-down single work stations, high bar seating or cafeteria type seating. Washrooms are close by and departure information displays are nearby. Navigation and signage is a breeze in this airport. Staff may not all be super knowledgeable about directions but the ones we interacted with so far are all polite. This airport is extremely easy to get to from Houston Downtown by bus 102 for $1.25 and this beats any Uber or Lyft ride. Buses could vary from the near bones old buses to grey hound style tourist bus with air conditioning, padded seats, overhead luggage rack and reading lamp. We are very satisfy with riding United Airlines' direct flight from Vancouver Bc YVR to this airport. O would recommend choosing this airport as the landing airport for future travel to Texas and surround areas.

This is a huge terminal for United flights. I was at gate C1. The terminal was nice, clean, spacious. It had these nifty booths to sit at with charging stations. The downsode is that there were mostly individuals occupying the booth, with an empty seat available. Food options include a convenient mart, Starbucks, and a few other places that I didn't pay much attention to. The nearest bathroom was not close, it was almost at C4 or C5. This was a downside. Most airports I go to have a bathroom near most oc the gates.

I like this airport. It is always easy for me to get through all the check points. I normally go South West. They only thing is that the procedure changes each time. This go round I didn't have to take off shoes or take out laptops soooo it was goooood. I was travel solo with 5 kids

Flavia C from United Airlines checkin was AMAZING. The self checkin terminals were not properly reading and she took care of us. She kindly and quickly helped us. She took our IDs and immediately found our flights and got us on the way. Such a lovely human in a crazy busy terminal.

I'm certainly no stranger to Airports, and HIA has been home port many, many times....but this is AMAZING. I did not recognize it I could not find where to line up at Gate C4. Where are the rows of uncomfortable chairs? Why did all the seats have cushions? I can order drinks from my comfy couch? Watch TV? What is happening??? Anyway whatever! IT IS A HUGE IMPROVEMENT!

Omg. This is my first time at this airport and it was a struggle. The gates are so far from the security check in. Like really far. Each time I turned I was hoping my gate was there and nope it wasn't. A lot of nice restaurants and places to check out but unfortunately didn't have a chance to fully enjoy this airport as I had to race to my gate. This is one of the airports that needs those moving walkways. If I single or if it was just me and my husband I wouldn't care but i'm saying this as a mom of two little Ones. If you have big families, it sometimes means lots of carry on, car seats, and strollers. Lugging that around with two kids. My arm is in pain.

I know they are under construction, I saw the K-9 units, I saw the seedy people acting like fools. And yet, the five star is for the valet people who picked us up from fare C6 and drove us and others to the connecting flight at gate D3. What angels they were and there Were a ton of them. Loved it! All airports should provide that service.

IAH is awesome! I travel for a living and more often then not I start and end the mission at Terminal C First you have many parking choices. At the terminal C there is a six level parking lot that includes self park, valet parking and sure park options. Granted that can be expensive when going on a long trip or for the travelers on tight budgets. In that case look to the nearby parking lots that offer very affordable parking and shuttle services. If your going on a really long trip, there is Airport limo service. For visitors, Terminal C has plenty of dining and shopping choices. Prices are reasonable too. If you have time you can walk or ride the terminal link and dine in Terminal E. pretty soon you will be able to wall straight through to Terminal B but as for now you have to ride the Terminal Link rail to get to Terminal A or B. IAH has been doing a lot of improvement projects in the last few years. I used to tell folks that if they were hungry and had time then head for Terminal E. Now that Terminal B has been modernized you should try that. They have a Wattaburger! For Star Alliance travelers there is a United lounge or two in each of the terminals. IAH has free wifi which is almost fast. It is good enough to download your emails and maybe a song. It is free, what do you want? You will find plenty of restaurants and there are enough Starbucks so the lines are usually small. Welcome to Houston!

The newly finished part of terminal C at IAH is a joy to walk through. The area is well-lit with plenty of wall and roof windows, and the terminal architecture has an equally pleasant modern appeal. There are some great new restaurants that appear to have plenty of patrons, as well as a record number of those tables with iPads at every seat. However, the newly refurbished part of terminal C is only a small part of the overall experience. Much of the terminal is still in its original state, which gives me nothing to complain about beyond not being quite as shiny as the new area around gates C1-10. Security still has significant lines nearly all of the time, but all things considered, terminal C is on the uptake!

The flight was delayed and we were supposed to have a cart waiting to drive us to gate E. Got off the plane, nobody there to meet us. We had to rush, both of us elderly and he, disabled. Finally made it to the next gate and luckily, that flight was also delayed so we made it. Lots of lovely restaurants we couldn't try because always, at George Bush, we are delayed.

This terminal has been crowded and busy every time I've been here! Note to those with any accessibility issues, call the airline before your flight so you can get a ride on one of the airport golf cart shuttles to avoid risking further injury from people rushing by or other shuttles mowing you down. I have a foot injury and walking through this airport definitely puts further strains on any mobility issues you may have. Everything is spread out and a bit of a hike to get from. There is a tram system but it is not very conveniently located and sometimes seems equidistant whether walking to and from the tram or directly from gate to gate. It's as they say: "everything is bigger in Texas!"

If you are at IAH and in Terminal C, you must be flying United. Terminal C is the primary terminal for all domestic United flights. I have flown United (Continental) many times over the years. The recent remodeling of Terminal C is a HUGE improvement over what it used to be. It is much more modern, clean, and easy to get around. It is a huge terminal so it may take a while if you walking from one end to the other but trust me, it is wider and nicer than it was a few years ago so it is easier. There are the typical stores you find in every airport but there are also many more specialty stores now. Although everything has been remodeled, the sheer lack of restaurants is still a shame. There just simply isn't enough variety especially for breakfast. It really is a shame because Houston is full of great restaurants yet very few of them are located in Terminal C. There are much better restaurants in Terminal E. TIP: If you have an iPhone, you can click on Apple maps and get a detailed map of Terminal C. I utilized it to find the closest restroom. It came in handy. Bottom line - Clean and new, Terminal C is much better with the recent remodeling. However, the lack of number and variety of restaurants available in Terminal C is a shame. There is definitely room for improvement.

I really like the convenience and the connections at each gate. There are bolted down seats, low top as well as high top tables, but each seat has at least two outlets to charge whatever electronics you may have. There are plenty of places to choose from to eat as well as very clean, genderless bathrooms as well as lactation rooms and pumping rooms. Each table has connected iPads to order food, play games, etc. They do have table-less seating facing the window, but the majority of the seating are low top and high top tables. Note: Of course, You have to scan your boarding pass to even get on the iPad or place an order. Also, the gates are spacious and pretty clean, considering the number of flights that come in and out of this terminal.
