Amazing collection! Nicely labeled by country and continent, interesting illumination, lovely! Worth the drive to Freiberg to see all this collection, and discover such a beautiful town afterwards!

This is the best museum I have ever visited in Germany. They are thoughtfully planning each activity and exhibition. The activity are suitable for family visit, kids will love here. But I will suggest add more English contents, since some chemical elements and mineral contents are difficult to understand in German, and We didn't buy "take a photo" right, so we can't take our phones out for translation.

I love this place - have been there many times. Excellent exhibit for those that like rocks, guided tours in several languages, easy to follow and always learning something new! The halls are full of beautiful displays which are carefully curated, lit up and taken care of. Not sure good for toddlers, they would likely be bored, at least I would not spend more than an hour there with them (on my own, though, different story). Gift shop is a must, prices are super reasonable!

This is by far the best mineral museum I've ever seen. The specimens you can find are of the utmost quality, and in huge quantities Some kind of lab at third floor is only available on the weekend but I don't think it's important The shop also doesn't have only the usual souvenirs but also precious minerals like Rutile and native gold The ticket is 5€ + an optional fee of 3€ to take photos

This is the finest mineralogical museum I have visited in my life. I was overwhelmed by the quantity and quality of the collection. Amazing! 5 stars doesn't do justice to this shrine of mineralogy. Highly recommended!

Museum of minerals. 5 floor different minerals around the worlds. Gorgeous exposition. A lot to watch. Take a time. There is also souvenir shop. I was hoping to see more different gemstone, but i liked.

A great museum where you can learn about minerals from all over the world. An incredible variety of colors and shapes. I could visit every month.
