Was very clean and the bathroom was well kept. I got a Greek salad and it’s genuinely the best Greek salad I’ve ever had. I added avocado and it’s perfectly ripe. The dolmas(stuffed grape leaves) are delicious and everything tastes so fresh. The employees were very nice and worked efficiently to accommodate the many customers. The interior design inside was so cozy and inviting. Love this place!

Heard a ton about Terrace bagels from a bunch of people in town. Didn’t know if it would live up to the hype and it did. So good. First off, it is busy in here so you may need to wait a little for your food. The chicken salad looked good so I went with it. The bagels have a great texture to them and it worked perfectly with the chicken salad. I am putting my stamp on them as the best bagels in town. So good. Will be back.

If you read my google reviews, you will see I generally try to post positive reviews. Having a culinary degree and have run many restaurants across the country, I understand the power of reviews good/bad. That being said. I would have given Terrace 1 star if it weren’t for the quality bagel and the nostalgia of going here well before my kids were born. Now, approx 1 year ago we ordered a BLT on a bagel. My wife bit into the sandwich and a tomato squeezed out so she went to push it back in. Upon Inspection she found black mold in the tomato slice. So we haven’t been back for a year. Today being the Fourth of July and not working, I wanted a pork roll egg and cheese sandwich. The wife said let’s give terrace a try again. So we did without hesitation. We ordered ahead, food was promptly waiting for us upon pick up. We drove home and began to eat. I sat down and opens my PEC sandwich and immediately was shocked to see a finger tip of a glove in my sandwich. Immediately infuriated I called. They said come back right away. So I drove back and tried to get help. They were slammed! I tried to call down people as I felt I didn’t need to wait back in line for this situation. Finally a gentleman I had held the door for called down the manager. He asked what the issue was and was shocked when I told him and he looked. He asked if I would like another and I said yes without the glove please, as I was angry but felt bad cause the place was packed. He hands me the sandwich and says “sorry but the guy was busy “ The guy who had called the manager for me was like” really there is NO excuse” we went back and forth and he said thank you and now I will never return. No refund either! I have attached pictures. I never complained with the mold situation the first time but after this I have come to understand that they may have a quality bagel but I cannot trust that the staff preparing the food has the same understatement for quality in cooking the food/sandwiches. If you’re just getting bagels, they do make a great bagel. But I refuse to give them any more money.

They have the best bagels in town, but if you order on DoorDash they forget a portion of the order every single time. 3 weeks in a row I’ve had to submit missing items and I get a potion of the money back, but I would much rather have the order completed correctly than to have the money back as we just want to eat the bagels. I will update the review after a few successful orders as hopefully they improve

I catered an event with Continental breakfast and bagels and lox platter. Terrace did an amazing job. There were so much food and supplies. They did not disappoint. Everything tasted great and the presentation was beautiful. Price charged was extremely fair. I will definitely be using their service for future events.

Enjoyable experience all round for a Saturday morning. Not too crazy line, easy ordering and lots of options to choose from. Love any place that sells joes tea - so bonus. Jalapeño cheddar cream cheese was great & the bagels were fresh and soft

just now NEW First off I would like to say that this was the third strike for me. I gave them another chance and I regret it. How can everything be correct on my receipt but then my order be completely wrong!! If I could give no stars I would!!! I understand it’s busy but that should not be an excuse. As I see that there was a person checking orders and putting them in the bags. My sandwich was supposed to be Bacon & egg and all I got was Egg. All of our sandwiches were wrong. 🤦🏻‍♂️ The only thing they got correct were the muffins I ordered because the girl at the counter gives them to you right away. Sorry Terrace bagels you may have good breakfast sandwiches but this constant mistakes has ruined it for me. The other thing that bothers me is paying for something and not getting what you pay for. Well I hope no one else has any issues there but beware and check your order before leaving.

Well, if you enjoy American breakfast i.e home fries then yeah it is quite good. The bagel is soft and tasty 👍 the home fries is crispy and well seasoned.

If you like bagels (about everyone I guess!) this is your place! Their bagels are fresh everyday with fair numbers of cream cheese choice. I had everything bagel with garlic herbs cream cheese today. It was delicious - garlic and herbs flavors were balanced, herbs were fresh, and gave a hint of spicy taste. The cashier was very friendly and helpful, and my order was made in timely fashion.

Just got an everything bagel with cream cheese and this is what I got. Didn't open it until I got home and this is what I got. I owned two successful bagel shops locally, and if my baker ever presented this to be sold, he would be fired. Disgraceful Terrace bagels.

I've been going here for years and the bagels were always good! The last 2 times though the bagels were actually stale!! Most recently was this week! Very disappointed and not sure if I will return.

My go to bagel spot when I'm in the area! Bagels are always super fresh and they have such a wide selection of specialty cream cheese. Today tried spinach & artichoke cream cheese w tomato on an everything bagel, and tried garlic herb cream cheese w tomato on a bialy. Both cream cheeses were good, but definitely veryyyy flavorful, the garlic cream cheese was almost a little overpowering. 4 stars bc $22 for 2 bagels w cc and tomato, and 2 iced coffees seem a little pricey, especially considering it's self serve ice coffee and not "gourmet" made to order like a Starbucks or Rook

My favorite bagels ever. Absolutly love the bagels can't say enough. Generally fast service for fresh to order foods too including breakfast Sammies. Place is also usually clean. Love it here. Will go back over and over.

I've been to this spot before, and the food is okay, but the service could definitely be improved. I can call multiple times to try and order breakfast that way I'm not on a time crunch, but I'm always placed on hold? Today I decided to walk in anyways after being put on hold again and the employees were literally just standing there talking to eachother, and I didn't see a Manager in sight either. It's not busy enough to put customers on unnecessary holds when you're not busy. It's frustrating because I'm just trying to get food before work and I call 30/15 minutes ahead. Even bagel nook can answer and take orders and they're PACKED... As someone who worked in an extremely busy breakfast restaurant, you guys have to do better... :(

Clean your grill. Hate getting pork roll or bacon or eggs that taste like an unclean grill.

Really nice fluffy bagels and yummy stuff BUT really uncoordinated in a rush. Placed an order online, waited through multiple multiple order call outs. Asked once and on the second time my order was under the counter, never called out. I got home and the French toast bagel I ordered was made to be a cinnamon raisin. I know they run out but usually call out to the customer and ask the preference on a different bagel they have made. TLDR: good bagels, but each time I go back the experience gets worse.

Similar to some other experiences. Service has definitely degraded over the years although several are quite good- I also had similar experience with the short girl behind the counter (attitude!). And the occasional "1/2 of the top bagel is missing on an egg sandwich ". Gave it 3 stars bc there are a few good staff that give good service w a smile and the food is usually good. But no longer a "must goto" bagel place anymore.

In an effort to try new bagel places in the area, I stopped in one late morning. Really liked the amount of space this place has. There were a decent amount of tables to sit down at and enjoy a quick breakfast or lunch. Only had to wait a couple minutes for my order, so the staff is very efficient. I got a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese and my boyfriend had a whole wheat bagel with bacon, egg and cheese. The bagels were truly perfect. Fluffy on the inside with that perfect crunch on the inside. They gave me the right amount of cream cheese too; the perfect glop. I appreciate when a place gives you a lot of cream cheese. The prices were very reasonable and expected. I think we will be making this our regular bagel place!

Great little breakfast spot. I pulled in and it was packed, but I ordered and got my food still in a timely matter. Staff was friendly at the counter and the guy taking my order was positive, even though the line was wrapping around the dining area. I ordered a multigrain bagel and the low fat Scallion cream cheese and that jawn hit different. They did absolutely load it up with cream cheese though, so if you don't like too much cheese, definitely ask for like CC when ordering. Their nitro cold brew is also really good. Wasn't bitter at all and went down like how a smooth draft coffee should be. If you are dining in however, seating is a bit limited and the dining area is loud with the kitchen and other patrons.

Food, service, and ambiance were all were very good, love your empanadas and really love the mini bagels.

Stopped by here on a Saturday for some breakfast with friends and the food was pretty decent. However, they did mess up my whole order and I did not receive what I ordered/paid for. I was missing 2 items out of the 3 I ordered. Tried calling them multiple times to see if they would be willing to fix the issue but didn't answer. Disappointed with the service and food wasn't so over the top to pull me back in the door.

Came here several times since I posted my review. As soon as the rush comes up, everything slows down completely to a crawl. There has to be a better way to handle rush.

Really need to train staff consistently. I'm standing next to someone getting a dozen bagels. He orders the wrong bagel because the sign was wrong and the guy puts an Asiago bagel in the bag. Customer realizes a mistake and says he wanted the "other one", a French toast... so he gives it to him for free because he touched the other. I get a dozen bagels and think, hey, guess you can get the special bagels in the dozen. It's not until I'm in my car that I realize she canceled the dozen order, 13 bagels for $16.80, and charged me individually for each bagel with an up charge for the "special bagels". Would have been nice to say "there's a charge for those". So not only did I not get the 13th free for bakers dozen, I paid $22 for the bagels. Looks like I'm better off hitting one of the other places on route 9 closer to my house than going to what I thought was "the best". Bad form.

I was next door in the glasses store when someone came in from terrace and threw mail at the girl at the desk?!?! I know it's not inside their business, but they were still wearing a Terrace Bagels shirt and it's a really way to represent the place you work.

PRIMO BAGELS! Top 5 place in central jersey for bagels! I guarantee it or it's free on them! Might be one of the best bagel places in central jersey. Do yourself a favor and get some of these primo bagels! You won't regret it. Breakfast can be hit or miss but them bagels are always a HIT!

Good bagels, cream cheese was very wet. Had a lot of great options and a variety of different items. The wait time was very long but workers were nice. Not the best bagel I've had but maybe I just went on the wrong day.

The yummy bagel was the only good part of an exhausting experience. Without exaggeration, the bagel took 20-30 minutes to receive. First waited on a long line which moved well but then the real wait began. A bagel with cream cheese took very long to emerge. When asked, was told the grill items get first preference regardless of the place in line. Totally strange and inefficient. I would have left but my tab was already paid. Not worth the pace and crowd. Go elsewhere, anywhere but there if you value your time

Call it growing pains. Call it stubborn management. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out a business. When Terrace moved to their new location, there were a few quirks, which, fortunately, they've addressed. They still have issues, such as too many people in line and the store is too small to handle the influx of people. The fact of the matter is that Terrace sets the standard for bagels in the Freehold area. I find some of their prices outrageous, such as $10.50/lb for chicken salad or $2.40 for a medium coffee. But, then again, a bakers dozen of bagels is $11.30 so it isn't all bad. About those bagels....large, fluffy, crunchy crust. There is barely any hole in the middle because these things are huge! Also, their everything bagel has more than sesame and Poppy, and they have egg everything. Their selection is fantastic and the bagels rotate quickly so that they are always fresh. Unfortunately they haven't figured out the "Terrace Experience". The line to order is long and there isn't a lot of space to stand so its uncomfortable. That line, by the way, goes from the front of the store to the back, then curves around and comes back towards the entrance, which makes the people eating at the tables uncomfortable. Honestly, I wish I could get half the money that walks out of here because of the line and poor experience. The bottom line is this is the best bagel you're going to get in Freehold, hands down. If you want to wash that bagel down with coffee and not pay through the nose, the McDonald's across the street has award winning brew for a buck a cup. If you like butter on your bagel, tell them not to overdo it or you'll be scrubbing it out of your upholstery after it leaks out of the bag. Nice people, awesome bagels, mediocre experience. Love them or hate them, you're not going to get a better bagel anywhere else in New Jersey.

Second time I've been in here and the staff are clearly whispering and laughing about customers. The food is good, the wait is long and customer service is seriously lacking!

Have the best flat bagels today so delicious and toasty with a very generous amount of scallion cream cheese and Lox !the service was exceptional .. super friendly staff we felt so welcome.. the place is so clean and accommodating . Can't wait to comeback.

Great bagel place with a lot of different breakfast and lunch options. There is also many colors with various drink options and coffee of course!!! The bagels are awesome and I always get the scallions cream cheese. The only down fall is the wait but it's never too long. The service is fast and efficient. I have never had a bad interaction with any of the people working. There are a few seating options (stools, window seats, tables in the back). The stools are usually filled with people waiting for their food but overall I recommend as a bagel place to go to.

terrible grill cook. every omelette was burnt. Lou needs to visit sometime and crack the whip. Do some quality checks. I call to resolve the issue. no one cared.

Food: I don't normally eat here for their regular food but I can vouch for their breakfast! My go to is the bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel with salt/pepper/ketchup! Always love stopping by here before going on a trip to grab a quick and delicious breakfast. Cost: The breakfast bagels are worth the cost! Environment: The restaurant is very homey and the locals definitely know that this place is great because there's always a line. The bagels are fresh and everything is just so delicious. Service: Very quick and efficient. Sometimes there may be a bit of a slow down but thats because there are so many people waiting to get their hands on some breakfast. Uniqueness: A definitely go to for breakfast. I can't say much about their regular restaurant section (I don't know if they still have this because they moved to a different location).

UPDATED: Terrace Bagels has moved to their new, nicely designed location next to Burlington Coat... still the best bagels!! My Sunday tradition of buying bagels here took me to their new location about a mile away in the Burlington coat shopping plaza. An absolutely beautiful interior awaits you, and still central Jersey's best bagels! The loyal customers had no problem finding this new location as their usual line ran all the way down the store. But no one minds waiting, as the line fast and you get the best bagels in the Freehold area. The coffee is also great here too. Plus they have plenty of prepared foods, salads, and other yummy selections. The layout of the new dining area is very sharp and nicely appointed, unfortunately it is much more cramped than the old location. But in fairness the old location used to have a restaurant next-door which did close so they had more space for seating there. Still if I'm going to eat an omelette there I really don't want to have to bump elbows with a stranger. But I have to say, no one cooks eggs or an omelette or any of that breakfast food better than here! I would love to meet the cook some today... But because the bagels and coffee and everything else they sell is so darn good here, I just can't subtract a star from my favorite breakfast joint and Sunday bagel stop! Still 5 stars for me! Very highly recommended for bagels, coffee, breakfast and lunch!

Ordered an Everything bagel , which didn't have much of anything on it. Asked for lightly buttered, which they took to mean only put half a stick of butter on it. Half and half dispenser was empty, and the sweetener dispenser is an affront to mankind.

I'm from Long Island where there are 6 bagel places in each small town. There is no shortage of delicious bagels where I'm from. I moved to Freehold a few months back and I'm happy to be around the corner from Terrace Bagels. Their bagels are honestly better than the NY bagels I'm accustomed to. I adhere to a vegan diet, so I was ecstatic when I first tried their tofu cream cheese. They make it fresh in-house and it's incredible! They offer both tofu scallion & tofu vegetable. I prefer the tofu scallion but they're both really good. I'd like to see more flavors of tofu cream cheese but I'm grateful they offer it in the first place and it is damn delicious!! You can also order vegan cream cheese by the lb on door dash. It's great for hangover Saturdays when friends are over and no one can muster the energy to drive a car and look halfway presentable.

This has been a staple in the freehold area for breakfast food for me for years and will continue to be. One thing is Terrace bagel always has a line and that's for good reason the food here will hit the spot. I usually get the bacon egg and cheese on a bagel which I like but switch up once in a while. They have sit down tables if you want to eat there, also take out if your trying to eat on the go. Which ever it is if you don't mind a wait in line then this is the place to try if you have not. Plus since they moved locations closer the WOW gym in Freehold I think that helped a lot with parking which there is plenty of now. Service is also great here they keep it moving every well with the amount of foot traffic they get. Great place for breakfast or lunch or a quick snack either way you wont be disappointed.

As I waited for an oil change at Firestone in the same shopping complex I decided to give this place a shot and their bagel didn't disappoint. You walk into a large cafe with both high tops as well as booth and table seating. Plenty of seating and even a small bar area. Get online and place your order with one of the many cashiers. I ordered a lightly toasted poppyseed bagel with walnut cream cheese: and let me tell you I could have ordered another bagel and shared the cc from the first bagel. The place was large, clean and very welcoming. The staff all were smiling and extremely friendly! If I find myself in the shopping center again I would stop in!

First time at Terrace Bagels and Cafe this morning. Wide selection of bagels, spreads, muffins, cookies, beverages (was pleasantly surprised to see Kombucha in the drink case) and menu items. I went with my standard order....bialy with veggie cream cheese and I was not disappointed. The veggie cream cheese was filled with fresh crisp celery, carrots, and scallions packed with flavor. I ordered some of the fresh baked cookies as of this writing I did not taste them yet, but they look great and can't wait. I chose chocolate chip, coconut walnut and oatmeal raisin. The coffee bar was nice and offered flavored creamers (yuck, Wish they offered at least a vanilla coffee) almond milk, half and half and skim. I'm glad I tried Terrace bagels Cafe - I will return.

The bagels are the best in Freehold but the service has gone down hill a lot over the last few weeks.
