Definitely worth a visit when on Bonaire. You’ll learn allot about the history of bonaire, slavery and the other Caribbean islands.
It’s small but big enough. Takes you about an hour to see everything. For locals it’s $5 and for tourists $10.. cheapest museum I’ve ever went to!

We had the opportunity to visit the Terramar Museum during our visit to Bonaire in the Caribbean Netherlands. This museum was easy to visit in a limited time and offered excellent insight into the history of the island from photos to artifacts. We are appreciated having this experience during our visit to this location during our cruise. This is an affordable, educational experience if you like to know more about history.

March 1st, 2023 - the Terramar Museum sign is out front as if it's still a museum. When you go in and pay the $5 fee, you discover that it's now just an art gallery. The person said they experienced a flood last year and it damaged the building (and its contents?). As of right now, it's just art... some of it being dabs of paint on old postcards. The person shouldn't have accepted our entrance fee.

Museum with very little content and amateur. Potpourri of objects. Resembles a neighborhood art gallery. Admission should be free.

One of the best cultural offer you will find in the island. The museum is expanding rapidly with more exhibits and artifacts and its beautifully designed. Its right downtown so there is no excuse!

Nice modern museum but focuses less on Bonaire and more on the Caribbean at large. Some of the objects are questionable. Paid entrance, plan for an hour.
