Terranima - Ristorante di cucina tipica pugliese

This will definitely be our favourite in Bari. We're glad we followed a recommendation to look in the new town rather than the run-down old town. And we are happy with our choice. There are tourists here too, but also lots of restaurants and Italians from other regions. Very fine food, great choice of vegetarian, seafood or meat dishes. Lovely service and beautifully decorated rooms.

Almost 3 PM, lunch is past. I'm pretty much the only customer here. As far as the ambiance is concerned, it's very charming and feels like an old Italian cafe. Although it's old, it feels clean. The staff is friendly and attentive to my needs, very kind and polite. As I sat, I was offered water gifted a small appetizer, an Italian bread from the oven with olive oil. It was nice. My disappointment comes from the food that I ordered and received.. I was disappointed as I asked for a recommendation, and specifically said that I wanted a creamy pasta. I got some strange little pasta in a "creamy sauce of zucchini", but there was no sign of "actual cream". The taste was not bad, but nothing that'll I'll remember forever like this dish of pasta I had in New York city 30 years ago that I still remember until this day! The dessert was excellent, but for 8€, to my opinion, too expensive.

Next time you are in Bari, make sure to make a pit stop at Terranima. The restaurant is run by Gianni and Georgia, who are very friendly, kind and very hospitable. It feels like home every time we come here. The fresh produce specifically picked by Georgia is a testament to the food that we get served. I highly recommend this gem if you are looking for truly barese or pugliese cuisines. Thanks Gianni and Georgia for the wonderful experience every time. See you soon.

Very good restaurant in Bari, with many traditional dishes on the menu. The food is very good and very well presented. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the dishes are cooked with great care. The Restaurant inside has lots of character with a rustic atmosphere. The staff are attentive and helpful.

Very disappointed: if one pays 30€ per person, will certainly leave hungry. That's not even the worst part, the food is just totally not worth it. The service was friendly, even though it took too long between the starter and the next course. The mix plate was tasty, but overpriced in my opinion. Then the tartar of the catch of the day simply had no taste. The croquetas of anchovies were extremely dry and had little taste. The place was cozy. I won't come back.

Every dish we tried were amazing. Staff is super friendly and smiley. Nothing bad to say about all dining experience! 10/10

The food is average and the service is funereal. We stood waiting for five minutes while the staff walked past us several times in an empty restaurant just after 13.00. The first food took 45 minutes to arrive. The pasta sauce was lacking any complexity and the fish was only fair. The room is lovely though.
