I really liked this hotel.|I started interacting with staff at the hotel prior to our trip to organize an excursion and airport transfer. All interactions were professional and quick to respond. I was impressed! We did the Geyser excursion which was great.|This hotel is in a great location right in the middle of town. It has a peaceful interior with courtyards, a pool, and lots of sitting areas. Nice area to escape from the general hubbub. Room was comfortable with a great hot shower. We loved all the nice extras that came with the hotel. Nice dried fruit snacks available pretty much all day. Then the wine happy hour both nice was a really nice touch. Great options and great pours! Staff were excellent and friendly from when we checked in until when we left, and seemed genuinely excited to show us their hotel and city and proud of the hospitality. I'd definitely recommend staying here to anybody looking for a nice place to stay right in the heart of San Pedro.

Stayed for a week while attending a conference in San Pedro and did not want to leave. What a lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff!||i loved the design of the hotel - which includes reuse of an old adobe building as well as contemporary sympathetic new additions. The interior design and furnishings / art in the rooms and public spaces are well chosen. I stayed in an Intiwasi Standard room in the historic part of the hotel. Lovely room and far more spacious than I imagined looking at the photos before hand. Comfortable bed and a peaceful night’s sleep. Liked the thoughtful touches in the rooms like brushes and clothes to clean your dusty / sandy shoes.||Breakfast was great with made-to-order eggs and fresh juices. We had a 4 am departure on one of the pre-conference tour days, so we alerted the hotel in advance. While they don’t pack the box breakfasts for you, they provide paper bags and coffee cups, so you can pack the breakfast items of your choice - yogurt, fruit, cheese and bread for a sandwich - in the early morning hours. They also recommended making a bottle of cocoa leaf tea the night before to take with us, as we were headed up to the Tatio Geysers.||Nightly wine hours around the fire are not to be missed. Sometimes after a long day at the conference center we came back a little late after the wine hour ended but the staff happily poured us a glass anyway (which we drank with our take away empanadas)!||Arranged airport transfers both ways and the driver was great. Friendly and safe drive, stopping at some key vantage points / vistas on the way in. ||We also booked one of the stargazing tours offered by the hotel and it too was a very nice experience.||Again, the staff were a real stand out - they made the hotel feel like our home for the week.|||I hope to come back to San Pedro for vacation and stay at the Terrantai Lodge again.

Having worked in the travel industry all my life, this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Not because it’s 5 star deluxe, but every member of staff knows that the guest experience is the most important. ||Yes, the hotel is centrally located which is great for restaurants and bars. Yes, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the stone finishing is a wonderful design touch. Yes, the breakfast is extensive and good. But there’s so much more!||The welcome gift of a bag and a water bottle for the stay. A cleaning cloth and brush for shoes because the desert is dirty. The fact that your room is cleaned by late morning is a true delight when you come back from an excursion at 11 a.m. which started at 4 a.m. The fact that breakfast is available even at this time, as staff care that you have something to eat before the big adventure. Then there’s the snacks, the tea tasting and a glass of wine or two with canapés every evening to create that relaxed atmosphere. ||The staff take time to talk to the guests and ask how their day was. They remember your room number so you don’t have to repeat it when asking for the key. They’re happy to recommend restaurants, bars and laundry services which are excellent and good value for money. And every time you come back to the hotel, staff greet you in a way that they are genuinely pleased to see you again.||Every single member of staff is first class and Christian is a true hospitality professional. Many leading hotels of the world could learn a lot from this group of dedicated professionals who really know how to make the guest experience special. Bravo to all of you!

Excellent! The lodge has a great location, beautiful decoration, good food and the staff is absolutely great, everyone is super polite and lovely, offering their suggestions on how to best experience Atacama. They provide a delicious wine tasting experience, as well as many meals during the afternoon. Definitely recommend it!

Nice hotel lovely service. Rooms are spacious and the hotel staff is really lovely. They have snacks laid out almost all day long, ending with a wine tasting every night. The main reason I really cannot give it 5 stars is that we trusted the hotel to arrange our transfer and activities which they suggest. The sorely disappointed in that area. Although we confirmed our interest a couple of weeks ahead, we only provided the flight details a few days ahead. So they came back on the eve of our arrival, saying their transfer contact was not available and we had to make our own arrangements. They are hotel in the middle of the desert. Coming from abroad, this isn't something I would ever expect or accept. We did make our own last minute arrangements but this was very very unpleasant and, in my view, unprofessional. If you don't have a reliable transfer, please let me know up front. If you have a deadline, but which I need to let you know the flight details, please let me know. Don't tell me the day before I arrive, that you're unable to arrange a transfer (it's a drive well over an hour). We also booked 4 activities with them and found that in 2 of them there were issues. Innacuracies that made the experiences less enjoyable: one said it had a small snack at the end and there was no such thing, while another explicitly said it had a towel and had no such thing, making the whole "dive in salt water at 15C" far less enjoyable. Luckily I had a small decathlon towel I could share with my wife, but honestly it was very unpleasant as the day was not very warm and the water was quite cold. ||Unfortunately the lovely service and support don't make up for it. We did get a massage, as compensation for the lack of the snack after the first activity, but overall we were disappointed with how these activities were handled. ||I would be happy to recommend Terrantai as a hotel - they are very nice and the rooms are good, but I would not recommend their external services. So it's a 4 out of 5, which is good, but I cannot rate them excellent. I believe this is a fair and reasonable review of this hotel. ||Last but not least: the location is very central and convenient.

Very good choice to stay in Atacama - and an authentic lovely building in such a perfect location. Was great to have the small pool to refresh after being out in the desert. Really nice wine tasting each evening and snacks in the courtyard. Staff were also very friendly.|Two comments for feedback. The rooms are small - we went for the larger garden room (which was still small) - and no aircon (which in Jan was a bit uncomfortable - had to leave the door open to get air circulating). |Second comment was related to the tours arranged by the hotel. Certainly very expensive ($US1000) for a private day tour (8am-3pm). The guides were incredibly helpful and the lunch /wine a nice touch - but it was just a standard tour without any opportunity to amend. Felt like we missed out on a lot of sights.
