Terravita Uptown

Great place to enjoy a quite time and family experience. We have visited the Uptown location various times and have enjoyed all that is offered on the menu. Angie, our server, was phenomenal. She remembered the group and was very welcoming as always. We also had the pleasure of speaking to the owners, Stephanie, Jose and their son Oliver. Great time, with family and amazing food. Bottomless mimosas on a prefix menu worth every cent.

TerraVita is truly a gem. The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can taste the quality in every bite. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The dimmed lighting creates such a cozy, elegant atmosphere…perfect for a romantic date night or a relaxed family night out. Everything about this place feels intentional, inviting, and memorable. 🥂✨🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🧡🥂✨

3.5 stars! Came here specifically for the burger and it wasn’t bad but I’ve eaten way better burgers for $30 USD. My partner had oxtail with risotto and we both thought it was not what you would expect for $40, simple flavors, small portion and unattractive presentation. Drinks were Great! As well as dessert 🍨 Special thanks to our hostess who was paying lots of attention to detail since our waitress was a little distracted 😅

We went to Terravita in Washington Heights to celebrate one of our girlfriend’s birthdays, and it was a great experience from start to finish. There were six of us, and our waitress, Angie, was incredibly attentive, she made sure our drinks were always full and checked in on us throughout the night. The food was absolutely delicious, and they even surprised the birthday girl with a complimentary dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. This wasn’t our first time at Terrativa, and once again it did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful location with great service and food. We definitely recommend it and will be back.

We had an amazing Brunch! The food and service were great and we enjoyed the mocktails as well. Loved the beautiful decor and atmosphere as well. The Yucca is a MUST and the salmon burger and chicken panini were also 10/10!

I haven't been to Manhattan in over a decade and super glad I chose this spot to take my sisters to enjoy a beautiful meal. The service is incredible - I'm really impressed with them. The actually is an atmosphere. The food is thoughtful and well made. The woman running this place is top notch. Support their new downtown venue. Brava !

We came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and it was phenomenal! This is definitely a quality fine-dining spot. Their take on Latino and Mediterranean cuisine was so impressive — every dish had a journey of flavors. I honestly felt like Remy in that Ratatouille scene, trying to decipher all the different notes in each bite. The service made the experience even better. Angelica, our server, was incredibly accommodating and caring. She paid attention to every little need we had and went out of her way to make sure we felt welcome — even when we thought we were being a bother, she reassured us we weren’t at all. And a big shout-out to Sergio at the bar — he crafted excellent drinks and tailored them perfectly to our preferences. From the food to the drinks to the service, everything was top-notch. I can’t recommend this place enough for a special night out!

I’ve always had a FANTASTIC time here at Terravita. The food is consistently great! As well as the service. Every time I come here I bring someone new with me so people can see and understand the hype. Terravita is your quality uptown, upscale restaurant. I’ll always come back and cant wait to do so!

We had a brunch reservation for a party of four following a visit to The Cloisters. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly and sat promptly. The upscale decor is welcoming. Our waiter, Robert, was hysterical and walked us through the menu. Our group ordered the hummus , ricotta pancakes, short rib hash, Brussels sprouts and Brussels sprouts salad with shrimp. All were delicious! My daughter ordered the Tuna Tartare and she said that while she liked it, it was not her favorite version of this dish. All in all, it was a great experience and we'll all be back.

It's honestly with sadness that I make this review so low bc if circumstances didn't happen, I would have done 5 stars. That's the only reason why I'm not doing 1 star. Although I have the name of the server who served us, I will keep it anonymous but I do want the establishment to understand that what happened is a very serious health risk. There were 2 nurses in this party so if we're taking this seriously, those out of the medical field should have as well. This is my experience from start to finish. I reserved this place for brunch to propose to my bridal party and vibes were beautiful. I was able to come early, set up my table with the gifts for my party, and do some decorations. One of the waitresses introduced herself and was chatting with me to understand what was going on and asking if I needed anything at all. My party came in and we were able to place our drink and meal order. The server took our order and my friend and I were thrown off bc we were a party of 10 and they didn't write a single thing down. We ordered drinks first and their drink menu has all mocktails but we were able to add alcohol so we told them if we wanted to add either vodka or tequila. So DISCLAIMER: Alcohol is not added unless we explicitly tell them to add it. Drinks were served and we were chatting. It had been a good 30 minutes until my friend WHO IS PREGNANT asks me to try her drink bc she thinks she's starting to get hot and red and she thinks there's alcohol. At this point, she's already drank almost half and I guess this is a testament to the drinks bc you really couldn't taste the alcohol but these drinks were strong as my other friends were feeling theirs. We asked the server and they said yes that one has alcohol when she ordered a mocktail obviously. I understand mistakes happen and the server switched it out to a mocktail but it was the response to it after that I was not happy with. We tried not to make it a big deal and carried on with our occasion but when receiving the bill, the charge for that cocktail was still on. I approached the waiters and our server was like remember I switched it out, and I said yes but we didn't order the cocktail. The server switched it out to a mocktail charge but at this point I'm annoyed bc this is a big mistake with a health risk and I feel like it's not taken seriously or being acknowledged. I told them don't you think we shouldn't be charged for this drink at all and they go so what do you want me to do? You want me to take it off? I said yes and when they were doing it I heard a lot of tongue clicking and shaking their head. Such an upsetting response with no remorse for giving a pregnant woman alcohol when SHE was the one who noticed the mistake NOT the staff. If I'm being honest, food was great. I'll still give them that. My friend said the lemon ricotta pancakes is one of the best she's ever had. One of the waitresses offered to take our picture in their second room. The whole event was great aside from that incident. At the end of it, the server apologized but that was after experiencing them giving me a hard time for asking for the item to be removed. It was also off putting that the other servers were standing nearby and trying to stay out of it. Would I recommend this place for food and drinks? Yes. But I would not come back bc of that specific server.

In a very busy area of the Port Authority in my old hood ! We come for the burgers (not available in menu for dinner, but ask) Excellent half pound burger, good mix and temperature was perfect for medium. Fries really complement the burger and crispy but moist.

I've been here multiple times and the food has always been delicious, this time I order takeout. I ordered the chicken chipotle, carbonara, and the short rib croquettes. For the prices this place is charging. You would think they would do better with the takeout packaging. It's very sad, And made the meal look very un appetizing. The portions were also sad. Everything arrived cold and I didn't finish my mail. I honestly did not enjoy it. Signing in might've been a better option, but I don't think I'll order takeout from here again.

Terravita is a cute restaurant with a great ambience in Washington Heights. They have a pretty long HH (lasts until 7 PM) & it includes margaritas, beer, & wine. I ordered a glass of red & the crispy brussel sprouts- both were great. I forgot the name of my server but he was great as well. All in all, I'd return back whenever I'm in the area.

Fantastic!! So pretty inside. The steak and egg with yucca fries was to die for! All so flavorful and hit the spot! Perfect fries - so soft and melt in your mouth inside and crisp outside. With the garlic sauce was heaven! Asparagus was so tasty! My friends loved their food too.

I came here with my mom and this place is a gem. I've lived here all my life and this is one of the nicest restaurants in the area. The ambiance is sophisticated and the food is delicious. The drinks are very yummy too. The music isn't too loud so you can have a conversation with whoever you bring. The service is also amazing, we didn't have to wait much to be attended without a reservation definitely recommend.

Amazing service, beautiful ambiance and the food was absolutely delicious!! Came in to have brunch with a few friends and so glad we did! We started off with the brunch special which included bottomless mimosas, an appetizer, entree & dessert for $55. Such a great brunch value and as the food came out we all couldn't stop saying how good it was! And trust me we are a bunch of girl food critics haha. The hummus is so creamy and smooth with pomegranate and pickles on top which gave it this fresh taste! and the pita that accompanied it was delicious and also had this wonderful seasoning on it. The salmon croquettes were very flavorful and had the perfect crunch to them . And the winner of the table was the truffle & parmesan yucca fries with a pio pio sauce that was insanely good! I think we asked for just a side of the sauce haha. For the main dish I had the short rib hash, which had braised short rib, potato hash, avocado mousse with scrambled eggs. Let me just say this was perfect and I loved the avocado mousse it brought all the flavors together and I was a fulfilled foodie haha. This is such a great place and I can't wait to come back and hopefully you give it a try too !!

We went here for a quiet date night on a Wednesday to get out of the Harlem scene and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is clean and very cute, there were only a few people in the restaurant so it was perfect for us and there was room for our baby stroller. Nick and Mariana were our servers and they were so kind and so on top of their stuff! Nick gave great suggestions on what to eat on the menu. We did the short rib croquettes and the octopus appetizer that was to die for and for entrees we got the NY Strip special with a side of lobster tail and the short rib yucca gnocchi and everything was seasoned so well! The gnocchi was a little oily but overall everything was delicious. And the drinks were so tasty and balanced! I didn't get the bartenders name but shout out to her! Great ambience inside, will definitely come again.

The first thing that wowed be about Terravita is the ambiance. It gives rich, luxury appeal and service. The hostess was beautiful and so friendly. She made my friends and I feel right at home. I ordered a French 75 and it was delicious. Sometimes its a hit or miss depending on the bartender but they did a great job mixing that I ordered another one before my meal got to me. I ordered the Short rib hash minus the eggs because I unfortunately have a sensitivity to eggs. The hash was amazing! So flavorful and rich. I wish I could have enjoyed it with the egg. My friend ordered the Lobster Bisque Pasta and I felt the portion was really small, but my friend confirmed it was tasty. Overall it was a great experience!

Used to one of my favorite post work happy hour spots for drinks and appetizers. This time around the drinks were good as usual but the food lacked flavor. The calamari was so over cooked . The salmon croquettes were just a bland confusing flavor . We ordered the octopus Bao bun and was given beef ones. When they finally rectified their mistake and brought the correct ones they tasted terrible . Not sure what was going on in the kitchen this time around .

We were there thanksgiving weekend. Love the bring your own part. 5 of us shared apps; crispy cauliflower, short rib croquettes, calamari and lam hummus. They were all great, but hummus and cauliflower stole the show. Entrees were 2 chicken, just ok, served in a small bowl, Branzino catch of the day, risotto, and Mar y Montana. All pretty good, not great Best to park across street in whole food parking lot. Price was 317.51 including tip. Check your bill gratuity , 20% , was put on the bill. I thought it was 6 people for gratuity to be included we had 5 people.

I visited Terravita's NYC location last Friday and I was thoroughly impressed! The restaurant had a cozy, chic, and upscale vibe that was SO good, we didn't want to leave. It's an amazing spot for a date with friends or with your significant other -- I'll definitely be back. The service was incredible - servers were kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and made every single menu item sound delectable (ALMOST ordered the ceviche, I'll have to try it next time). Finally, THE FOOD & DRINKS - wow! I ordered steak frites, and my cousin ordered the roasted salmon with Israeli cous cous. Safe to say we cleaned our plates! We both also ordered margaritas and espresso martinis with a splash of Bailey's for dessert! Everything was spectacular!

Once again I've come to one of my favorite places in NYC. Every time I come in, even when I think no improvements need to be made, something is always different and better! They've opened up new locations (which I plan on visiting) and included a different dessert on the menu that we decided to try out. As usual, my service pet was allowed, the service was quick and attentive. Everything was super clean and well decorated. The hostess was a GREAT GUY who we hope to see again! He was attentive, answered all of our questions and made sure we didn't go a second without any guidance.

Came in at 9:05pm on a Tuesday night and I was promptly greeted when walking through the door. I asked to sit at the bar, which I was told I was welcome to because there were several seats available. I was tempted to eat something because I was quickly given both the drink and food menu, but I really only came in for a quick drink and was not disappointed at all. This upscale establishment in the heart of Washington Heights is beautiful. Harlin promptly took my drink order at the bar and it was so good I decided to have two. The ambiance is romantic and it was not too loud or crowded there. Situated right next to the George Washington Bridge bus terminal, I will definitely be returning to this place to try their food and hang out longer. Kitchen closes at 10, Bar calls last call around 10:40pm

Amazing cappuccino, good Thai salad, yucca gnocchi looked amazing. Service was great!

I came back intending to get the eggs Benedict that I've had a few times (and is the best eggs been I've had in years) but table next to me had ordered the steak and eggs brunch and it looked so good I had to order that instead. I got the eggs scrambled with white cheddar. Literally perfectly cooked steak and so much flavor. Another 10/10 brunch. The music, settings, staff, service and vibes are all spot on.

Went as a group of 3 for Sunday Brunch: LOVELY service, verging on pedantic (ie. they replaced our utensils between appetizers and entrees). I ordered the green chicken panini, which I didn't love it bc the chicken seemed a bit undercooked (for my liking), a bit gamey/"too chicken-y." The calamari appetizer was great. Friends ordered King Trumpet Mushroom entree, and Avocado Thai--both they loved!

Nice gem in Washington Heights. We came here for lunch and were impressed. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the staff is very attentive. Sergio and Angie were courteous a d friendly. We had the lamb humus and burrata to start off. Both were amazing!! Salmon was cooked to perfection and the Cobb salad was delicious. Would definitely come back. Maybe for brunch on the weekend.

Angie was exceptional. We truly felt welcome to dine with our two year old. The drinks were divine and the food exceeded all expectations. (Also the beats were fantastic---I Shazammed most of the songs so we could play them again at home with our daughter).

Leaving a disappointing review as per treatment received a few minutes ago. I would like to preface the following with stating that I have frequented this establishment on numerous occasions in groups, on my own. The food is very good and in the past I have been attended well- except today. At 6:49pm on 9/24 I entered their Broadway location and requested to use the restroom. I am pregnant and needed access quickly. The host denied entry stating the bathroom were for clients only which I understood and quickly advised I would be making a purchase to adhere to policy and quickly access the restroom as needed. The host then states that I gave him an attitude and repeated the bathroom was for clients only and pregnancy was not an excuse as if my attempt to make a purchase was irrelevant. I reaffirmed making a purchase and he finally let me use the restroom. Frankly, if I weren't in a pinch, I would've avoided a purchase altogether based on the poor customer service. I was not trying to get over anyone. I purchased an appetizer after using the restroom as I mentioned I would . Solely on the basis of being confronted the way that I was today, I will no longer attend the Broadway establishment.

They atmosphere is super nice. Loved the music and the attention to details. I was asked before ordering about our food allergies. And to my surprise they actually knew what a night shade allergies was. It will be repeated!

This is the nicest restaurant in the neighborhood. However, it is one of those places with a bad menu, and you can't find anything to pick. I got a dish with chicken that was so dry and smelled terrible. Gross. It is too bad because the ambiance is so lovely, the cocktails are good, and the service is usually on point. If I were them, I would revamp the menu and make it more palatable. I feel like it is essentially a rip-off because the place is nice, but the food sucks. I would go to Malecon or Uptown Garrison for the food.

Happy hour was perfect. Spicy marg and tuna tartar was so yummy! Staff was very nice and attentive

I came here with my cousin last year, Spring/ summer 2023. The brunch was delicious service was exceptional and drinks were good. The decor and ambiance of this restaurant made us feel so good and transported us to some place out of NYC! I recommend coming here with family, friends! Def an elevated spot for the Heights! We need more places like this in our neighborhoods.

Our team had our holiday lunch at Terravita and everything was amazing! Food 5/5: From drinks to apps to entree and to dessert, everything was delicious. The ribs were tender and slipped right off the bone. I thoroughly enjoyed the chipotle chicken pasta and the almond break pudding. Service 5/5: Service was highly attentive and careful.

My group of friends and I have become parents or grandparents all within a 8 month time period with crazy lives and we finally got all our calendars to sync (instead of individual connections) to celebrate one of their birthdays. Like old times we wanted something in NYC, with good drinks, and good food, so Terravita was selected based on their ratings The location was in a busy area close to the George Washington bridge where everything is hectic and parking is rough but we made it and walked into the well decorated and open establishment. To give a vibe of the location just imagine Cold Heart (PNAU remix) by Elton John & Dua Lipa playing. The food, delicious and artfully done especially the chocolate dessert that looks like a plant. I had the crab cake Benedict and there was ample crab with minimal filling as it should be. Everyone enjoyed their food and we stuffed ourselves guilt less with our desserts which we did not share. Great company, great food, great drinks, and an absolutely great time!

Excellent food & service! I came in two nights in a row while in NYC and got the same thing: shaved Brussels sprouts salad with steak on top. It was the perfect blend of flavors and textures, and very filling to boot. The atmosphere was classy and relaxed; I felt like I had stumbled into an exclusive yet welcoming venue when I walked in. Don't sleep on this place!

Decided to try this place since we were in the area. Sat in the bar area since we didn't have reservations. Decided to only tried a drink and share an appetizer. To start we ordered the salmon croquettes, which were delicious. And to drink I ordered the Vita Tropical. Drinks were good that we ended up staying for a few more drinks. Staff were good and ambiance was nice. Would definitely come back to try their food.

Terrific, relaxed, incredible and friendly service. It is a shame that you took the bourbon ribs off the menu. They were the best item on the menu. You should bring them back again as soon as possible. They are worth the splurge and the calories!

Lobster ravioli was phenomenal and the crab stuffed empanadas were delicious. Oysters were presented nicely and seemed fresh!

Five stars for the vibe and flavor profiles. Unique variety of dishes, ranging from thai salad and tacos to lobster and ravioli. The roasted branzino was the highlight of the meal for me, with deliciously crispy skin and lovely texture of fish. 3 stars for the steak and lobster both being a bit dry. Everything was also a bit pricey. The margarita was nice and clean but could be stronger. The wait staff were all nice, but the kitchen was too slow. It took us an hour and a half to get our food, including appetizers. Two stars for the wait. Would definitely come back for the good vibes and lovely decor.

I have been coming to both locations since they opened and have never been disappointed. Food is always fresh and delicious, service is impeccable. The owner is very welcoming and accommodating to the menu. The ambiance takes you out of the Washington Heights neighborhood for a little while.

I came here for Sunday brunch and was seated right away, even though I arrived about 30 minutes before my reservation time. The decor is nice and there is a decent amount of space between tables. I had the Terra Burger with yuca fries and a side of the Brussels sprouts salad. They were both delicious. The salad was light and refreshing. The prices for the salads were a bit higher than other places I've been to. I had the bottomless mimosas ($24/1 hr) and didn't feel like I got my moneys worth. I only got two refills. The bill came out for $86 for bottomless mimosas, the terra burger and the Brussels sprout salad (not including tip).

Went for Mother's Day under a reservation during Dinner. I recommend a reservation on special days or if you are going with a big group. The experience feels like fine dining because portions are small and pricey. However, despite the price and size every dish that arrived tasted fresh, was well-prepared, and nicely plated. The drinks were also delicious and one came with a fire presentation. I recommend coming here for a special occasion or a date.

Brunch experience galore. The restaurant is beautiful! And was able to walk in on a Saturday at 1:30 and get seated in seconds for brunch. Unheard of! Been dying to expand my restaurant radius so decided to go to the Heights and I was pleasantly surprised by this spot. Went with the boozy brunch option: the bellinis were delightful. All champagne with a splash of peach, the right way of doing things! The server was conscious to make sure our glasses were never empty. For entree I went with the Green Chicken Panini. Incredibly delicious! Fries were great too! As an opportunity however I felt like it was the amount of chicken was scarce and the middle vertical cut makes it impractical to pick up. Nonetheless you gained a new fan cant wait to explore the amazing menu.

I came here for a solo Valentines date. Unfortunately they only served a special menu so I was not able to get the Lobster Ravioli. However, I had the shrimp fettuccine which was rich and amazing. The portion was small but very filling. I also had an amazing Rose drink. AND they brought out complimentary champagne and raw oysters that I believe was sitting in champagne. My waiter was very nice and attentive. I will be coming back for my lobster ravioli really soon!

This is a past review on brunch during Mother's Day! Although not our first time, it was out first time visiting for Brunch and it did not disappoint! A cute little hole in the wall in Washington Heights, @terravitanyc offers a beautiful restaurant with amazing service, food, and drinks. They cater to all types of diets so your whole party can have something to enjoy. So glad we came for brunch, they made Mothers Day very special!

Terravita is snatched honey with eye-catching 1960s vibes! In fact, walking through the doors is like entering a Mad Men (restaurant) scene. Located on Broadway in Washington Heights, this place is sleek, has gold accents, bold bursts of Navy and Art-Deco styled furnishings-without the gawdiness. Light blue Velvet chairs up front add another touch of a sophistication pop that blends right in. I mean, Terravita might seem like it doesn't belong, but these folks have set themselves apart being smack-bang in the middle of Dominican bodegas and other Dominican businesses. My husband and I met with my ex co-teacher, her boyfriend and a SEIT for an early Sunday Brunch. The menu offers much more than just scrambled eggs. It has something for practically every eating lifestyle- and you can omit an ingredient without any pushback from your server. Our guy was fantastic and so charismatic the entire time! Mimosas were out of this world. When I told our guy at the end that my flute had the perfect balance of Bubbly strength and Passion Fruit, he confidently said, "we know what we're doing". Damn right they do. My husband enjoyed his Hibiscus Mimosa "with a kick" so did everyone else at the table. My 3 Lemon-Ricotta stacked pancakes were blessed with grated lemon in the batter and topped with a macerated strawberry so when you cut into your stack, you got the sweet ricotta and some of those strawberry juices. Geez! My husband enjoyed his French Toast topped with Blueberries+diced Mango and everyone else at the table had all good things to say about their items. Right from the ground up, these folks at Terravita got EVERYTHING down to a science plus price, was fantastic!

I just revisited this restaurant, and it never disappoints. From the impeccable service and ambiance, to the chef's amazing creations, it makes for a delectable experience. I had never had brunch there before, and the banana lemon ricotta pancakes were so light and fluffy!! Not to mention the short rib hash with the egg over easy... a treat for the pallet!!! I was also very fortunate enough to meet both chefs, one of whom is only 21 years old and VERY gifted.. The only disappointing thing about this restaurant is that it's not close to my house

I'm so glad I had brunch here!! First of all, how the hell have I never found this place!! The place is small, but very cute!! I think this area is Washington heights, very Spanish like vibe, a lot of culture here and overall mixed classes of people and uniquely stand out among the rest of the restaurants here. I came here for my friend's 50th birthday and absolutely loved it. The raspberry lychee Bellini was delicious. It definitely crept up on me. To eat, we had tuna tartare, fried calamari, salmon croquettes. And for my entree I had the chorizo and eggs. Let me tell you, the food was ALL DELICIOUS! I've never had bread pudding, but I really feel I've been missing out because this one was divine. I would so go back, next time I'll visit the location in NJ. This is a must place to visit and eat.

Customer service is great here and the panini ls are phenomenal. I would recommend this restaurant for those who want a fine dining experience.
