I would give this place 0 stars if this option was available. Note that we didn’t actually sit down at this place, but I thought our brief time at this place would still warrant a review, since our experience was so “memorable”.
Hostess Abi was consistently rude and unwelcoming — from the moment we stepped out of the elevator and told her we were not guests of the hotel, the eye rolls and audible sighs just kept piling on.
Sure, we respect that the place was “full” in spite of appearing to be only half full, and we note that guests who were waiting for tables needed to head back downstairs to the lobby to wait, but surely, dear Abi, your response didn’t have to be so patronizing, implying that we should already know this procedure? When asked about the waitlist procedure, and whether you needed our names or not, surely you could’ve simply explained this without rolling your eyes and sounding like we were idiotic tourists asking stupid questions? It was only 4pm so we’re not sure what your issue was — perhaps because we were dressed like “typical tourists”? Or perhaps it was because poor Abi had to work on a Good Friday?
Anyway, after Abi took our names down and said she was going to call the lobby bar once a table was available, we promptly went down to the lobby bar where the staff seated us at a table without offering any drinks menus, other than three napkins on the tables. So there we sat for exactly 35 minutes without further feedback or updates from the wait staff, at which point we decided it was not worth the wait and left. Perhaps additional training on customer service would be beneficial?
By the way, we stayed at your hotel a decade ago and thought it was alright. Never again will we be back. Good luck with your business :)
