Fine dining food. We enjoyed tasty tropical shrimp dish with pineapple and a good grilled tuna steak (potatoes slightly too hard and grilled vegetables lacked flavour). The caprese salad was good but could have done with fresh mozzarella. Good quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar are offered with plenty of complimentary garlic bread. The final highlight was the homemade ice cream with multiple flavours. Very creamy. Whipped cream wasn't necessary for the purists.
The sunset view was lovely. The fans and the linen blinds helped balance the sun's intensity across the evening. The service staff were very attentive... if not too attentive/intense, reducing a calm fine dining experience into a more typical restaurant, such as taking a plate away the same second it was finished. The restaurant really does offer high quality food but the atmosphere with high volume party music does not match. A think over the restaurant's identity would be important - does it cater for fine dining and families, or for partygoers. I recognise this can be tricky.
