I would love to give Terre Des Etoiles 5 stars but unfortunately I didn’t have an amazing experience. And I love the eco part of the camp. ||To start out with the positives I had been emailing Dina for a few months as my original stay was cancelled due to the lockdown in Morocco. They were really friendly and helpful over email correspondence and assisted me with transfers etc. On arrival I had a warm welcome and was shown to my tent (explorer). I’m not a camping person but this seemed sufficient for one night although there was no hot water any my lamps/electric didn’t work. Lunch at the camp was super expensive (£35) and there was no option for a La carte. I only fancied a snack/salad so didn’t make the best use of the buffet. However, there were a lot of options and all freshly prepared, the chef was also a delight, so if you come here for lunch come with an empty stomach! The staff were amazingly attentive to the point they’d rush over if I tried to pour water for myself. ||Dinner was fine. Only one option for both starter, main and dessert, but my sever did accommodate my request for a veggie main. Once again, the staff at the bar were amazing and friendly. ||My main issue was with the male receptionist who thought it was fine to try and proposition me for sex when I was enjoying a fire outside my tent after midnight. I gave him the brush off but he kept persisting for a long time which is not fine. I don’t mind a chancer but the sleaziness and persistence was not ok. Especially as I was the only person that night staying in my camp section. It was so uncomfortable that I wanted to leave that night but there was no where to go (or a lock on a door!). All I wanted was a chilled night enjoying the stars with a wine and a book, but he ruined this. Not cool. I did not feel safe and I do not say this lightly. I did mention this on check out the next morning but there was no response or follow up. ||It was a great experience until then. So, I would recommend this camp to groups and couples but not solo female travellers which is an absolute shame as it is a spectacular place with amazing staff (par one!).

We recently stayed at Terre Des Etoiles with a group of women and were really pleased with the camp. For those who are expecting a desert from Hollywood Movies, keep in mind that this is a stone desert and not the red sands of the Sahara. And, the stones are quite interesting.Terre Des Estoiles is an eco-friendly camp where they grow their own vegetables, use solar power, and are engaged in other efforts to preserve the environment. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming & hospitable. The gardener showed us around the gardens and the stables where the camels, goats, and horses are kept. The pool is very clean and blends seamlessly into the environment. There are many private, secluded seating areas to enjoy tea and other beverages. The food was delicious and very fresh. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are surprisingly quite upscale. The astrologer was quite interesting and very excited about his work. I highly recommend booking this activity. The camel herder took us on a rather exciting walk through the dunes. Overall, we had an excellent stay and I would highly recommend this camp to others.

We spent one night at Terre des Etoiles with my partner and the place exceeded every expectation. We wish we had spent at least one more day there, to relax in the idyllic areas of the camp, and simply enjoy the quiet, relaxing vibe of the place, wandering the magical landscape of the dessert. It was the highlight of our trip and we realized how much we enjoyed getting away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. We stayed at a couple's lodge and it was truly amazing. We enjoyed having a king-size comfortable bed (where we even found hot water bottles to warm up the sheets under the comforter after returning from dinner!), a stylish bathroom, another sitting area inside the room, and a private terrace outside with a view to the dessert. The staff went above and beyond, both dinner and breakfast were very tasty and well prepared, served in a very relaxing and tastefully decorated dining area, we just might have enjoyed slightly bigger options or a buffet-style meal. We really appreciated the detail-oriented character of the camp, the amazing night fire, the beautiful garden, how well the animals seemed to be taken care of, and most importantly the dreamy, relaxing atmosphere. The camel ride and 4x4 transfer back to the city were also highly enjoyed! Highly recommended and we can't wait to be back!

I loved this place. Beautiful scenery and the staff were very nice. The tents were really neat (you'll love the mattresses if you like firm ones!) Camel ride was great! All the animals looked happy and looked well taken care of. Be sure to say hi to Gafay the cat. She loves her cuddles and might even try to stay in the tent overnight with you.

Today we came on the recommendation of a friend, I wanted to celebrate my special day in a special place, and said and done. Nothing like the energy of the desert, a super charming and magical place. We came today to eat and tofo what they served us was delicious, just to say that we poor vegetarians put vegetables in trajine plus the same sautéed vegetables, it is not very consistent but those vegetables from the Lodge's organic garden are very rich. Just saying they could add some chickpeas or tofu or cheese or legumes something to leave with a happier tummy. Lovely service and I like that they have water in glass, bravo for that. The horses are very healthy and well cared for, I do not know why they have the donkey there tied to the sun. I'd rather see him loose in a pen. The wonderful place. We will repeat and recommend without a doubt.|Mustafa muy simpático y amable.

Beautiful place but much more tents as I expected. They ask quite a price for the service they provided. The reception/check in took really long. Before dinner we ordered some cocktails, it took them 20 minutes to make them. When they finally arrived we got the wrong one. I told the bartender, who looked at me, said nothing and continued with different orders as we waited for another 15 minutes before the right one arrived (We had to ask the floormanager and all of a sudden the cocktail was there). Service seems chaotic all around. All activities were in French, so we were not able to do the stargazing. Better to mention this upfront. Location is beautiful and food is ok, but I would not recommend this place to be honest.

Lovely looking place, unfortunately we did not feel welcomed, service was poor, limited information given about food times or facilities, only a little booklet in our room. Lots of waiting around and having to ask for essential items. Buffet looked lovely on our arrival (we didn't have any but they tried to charge for this). Rooms were clean and tidy. The shower was intermittently hot. The two pools were a little green and murky after the day visitors had left. The evening meal was a set menu (meat based) we had to ask about options for the vegetarian and children in our group. The food was very tasty and the main dish a traditional morrocon tagine. The dining area was under cover with outdoor gas heaters, overly hot, then gassed out because one of the guests turned off the heater without turning of the gas. Lovely areas to sit and enjoy an outside fire after diner. Breakfast was cold pancakes, omelette and a long wait for a knife to spread the jams and butter.

Our stay in Terre des Etoiles was the highlight of our visit to Marrakesh. The accommodation was everything I thought it would be and more. The farm, the camels, the horses, the nomadic tents spread around the accommodation were perfect for our family visit. The evening dinner and breakfast was lovely. And when we retired to bed it was glorious to find a hot water bottle in each bed they even put one in my grandsons cot. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We stayed on for lunch the next day it was delicious sitting in 24 degrees sunshine looking out over the desert sands eating beautiful food sourced on their own farm. It was truly an amazing experience. We all said it was the highlight of our trip.
