"I rely heavily on Tesco's Clubcard scheme: you earn 1 point per £1 (1 point = 1p off shopping) or you can convert points into Avios (2.4 Avios per point) or Virgin Flying Club miles (2.5 per point). The real value comes from Tesco's regular bonus-point promotions — for example, 150 bonus points on a £3 CD can effectively buy 360 Avios for £3 — and aggressive bonuses on items like printer ink that you can often resell at near cost, making the miles effectively free. Tesco has also run offers such as 5,000 points (12,000 Avios) for taking out Tesco life insurance with a small monthly commitment, and a printer sold for £39 with 2,000 bonus points (4,800 Avios). Most of these deals can be bought online, and Tesco offers a free MasterCard that earns Avios (about 0.3 Avios per £1). The process took forever, they do not tell you it is a contract temp service till you go there for orientation and find out, you can't get ahold of them at all through calling texting or emailing, and they do not offer any type of help. I wouldn't even gave him a star, but it doesn't give me that option.
