This is hands down the best gift store ever! The selection is so thoughtfully created , and the owner, Tara, is absolutely amazing. You can truly tell that she puts so much love and care into picking every single item she sells. Whether you’re looking for something unique, special, or just a little something to brighten someone’s day, this store has it all. I can’t recommend it enough!

I can’t rave enough about Tesoro! This place is a Mecca for both the gifting-savvy, as well as the severely gifting-challenged like myself. I urgently needed four kids presents for nieces and nephews during a visit to LA, and the awesome owner immediately came to my rescue. In minutes I had four thoughtful and affordable gifts wrapped and ready to go! This is one thing which makes Tesoro shine- behind almost every toy/gift, is the item already wrapped! Sheer genius. Tara the owner came through last minute on a second occasion and had four more presents ready to go for a kids birthday party. On a third visit, they helped me choose and wrap an adult gift for a colleague, which turned out absolutely incredible! A cousin joked it’s like I have a personal gift concierge and honestly that’s not far from the truth- and I love it! So grateful for this place and the employees there. The owner Tara is amazing! I ordered a Mother’s Day card online, and instead of shipping it, Tara personally delivered it to my house so I would have it in time to mail to the east coast for Mother’s Day. This local shop showed such incredible customer service! I will absolutely be back for all my gifts and cards.

I found this store while doing a search online for a very specific beloved dog toy that I couldn't find anywhere else - they had one in stock! Priced well and arrived extremely quickly, and it was gift wrapped which was a kind surprise. My dog is over the moon to be reunited with her favorite toy, and I truly appreciate the prompt service!

The owner was there and super helpful. She knew all of the stock and guided me towards gifts that were age appropriate for the baby I was shopping for. The store is very small but she did mention they have a bigger store in West Hollywood too.

Tesoro is another delightful gift emporium curated and run by the always effervescent proprietor, Tara. Over the years, I have found the most perfect and unique gifts for my loved ones at Tara's shops. Always on hand to help find the perfect gift, Tara puts her heart and soul into her business. She travels to gift shows all over the country to unearth new and fun items to stock the store. She greets customers with enthusiasm and wraps each gift beautifully. It's rare these days to find an indie-owned business like this one. So many small businesses have had to shutter because of Amazon and then the pandemic made everything worse. The fact that Tara's shop has remained in existence is a testament to her talent, kindness, excellent customer service, and great taste. If you're looking for a great place to find gifts for the holidays, look no further than Tesoro. You'll be thrilled you did.

I love this store so much! I was surprised to see here that it was closed, when in fact it only MOVED to Canon Drive in Beverly Hills. Love the new location, still has the best baby and gift selection - but the curation for adults is less playful and more sophisticated. I couldn't leave the new location without grabbing a few Kiss tongs, to always have on hand for hostess gifts.

I've been coming here for years and referred a lot of friends to the business. I noticed different pricing on two wrapped books of the same size, and asked to check if the books were different. Turned out they were the same and mismarked. Rather than taking advantage of the lower price and not alerting the staff of the error, I asked if it would be possible to offer a small discount on the higher price. Owner snapped at me and accused me of "unwrapping her present" and was extremely hostile! Wont be coming back.

This is the most amazing store in Beverly Hills. Always find something as a gift last minute when I need it. From cards, kids, house, tech or fun. Tara really curates amazing things so I don't need to think too hard. just pick something fabulous perfect last minute and I know she tries to stay open on many holidays

l have been coming here for a couple of years they do have great merchandise l purchase a few things l didn't need for gifts the total came too $312.08 so l decided to pay cash i'm really good with cash she said the total most place's when you total is that much they usually round it off especially the change Now l know l owe her the owner who was accommodating me 8 cents but l have experience my entire life if l purchase $312.00 & u have no customer n the store & im supporting ure store u might want to or u might let 8 pennies slide instead so l kindly gave her l gave her $ 403.00 she did get her 8 cents but i'll never shop in her again i'm positive she would have thanked the white person forget about the 8 cents l can't tell her how to run her business but i have never charged a customer the pennies if the spent over a certain amount of cash l won't ever shop there it's the penny principal cause u don't owe me anything especially a 8 pennies the the taxes alone $27.08 l could have spent my money with the merchant would let the 8 pennies go & we all know pennies add up but usually it's customer service that keeps u coming back

I needed a last minute going away gift on this rainy Saturday morning. I called the store and there was no answer, but a few minutes later, Tara called me back and asked if she could help. I told her that I was interested in a book and a card I saw on her website, and within an hour, she met me at her store, which was full of cool looking stuff that I wish I had a chance to check out. She wrapped my gift with style and care, and I was on my way. Her personal touch will bring me back - people like her make LA feel like home. This place has all the best gifts. One the more pricy side, definitely not a place for people of all budgets! A small stuffed animal was $24... Other than that, it seems like a store to check out of you're looking for an interesting gift and has some money to spend.

This is such a great store, especially when you're in need of a fun/chic last-minute gift. Tons of cool items to choose from and the owner, Tara, was such a pleasure to work with. You can tell she takes a lot of pride in her stores and loves the creative aspect of it (I'm as excited about the gift wrapping as I am to give the actual gift!). Will definitely be back!

Things that are true: 1. When invited to someone's home for dinner or a birthday party or a weekend, you should bring a little gift to increase your chances of being invited back. 2. I literally go to Tweak to feel happy and inspired. Tara and her team are true angels and keep FUN as a priority. This shop really is the best gift store ever!!! I had the pleasure of meeting Tara the owner and it was the greatest experience! She knows everything about every gift in her store and I was able to pick up some great presents for my godson. We literally spent an hour just talking about life. Such a positive person! Fabulous selection for all ages. I needed baby gifts and was overwhelmed by the cute & unique selection, and everything is stocked pre-wrapped! Plus she even wrapped a couple extra small trinkets for us as we're on our way to give them. Great cards for all occasions. And on our way out I saw one more perfect gift I had to get for a friend. The best gift store hands down. The women who helped us were so nice, showing us options and giving us our space to look and play. I'm so excited I can shop with them online from home, too!

Went in to this place for the first time for a last minute gift. It's a cute shop that has a lot of unique stuff but everything is marked up. If it wasn't for a last minute gift I would have bought the item I purchased on Amazon which was $5 cheaper. I asked the sales associate about the mark up and she said that it's added for the gift wrapping which was strange because the item I purchased was not gift wrapped and after she said that she asked if I wanted it wrapped. To save money, shop elsewhere.

The owner Tara is amazing! We came in looking for something for our niece, about to turn two, and boy, am I glad we stopped by! This place has everything for the one you're not sure what to get! Our girl has plenty of toys and clothes, so we knew it had to be something Ah-mazing AND worth adding to her collection. We found many contenders: trendy stuffed toys, STEM themed toys, so many books... we decided on a darling wooden Mail Box with wooden "letters" and velcro "stamps"! We are thrilled! And to top it off, everything is already gift-wrapped!! It's beautiful, festive, and ready to go. Even afterwards we were hard-pressed to leave, looking at all the neat things for non-children they have: intricate puzzles, snarky self-help books, and more. I cannot wait for the next reason to buy a present, I know exactly where I'll be going!

One of the neatest things about this place is that everything in the store is already pre-wrapped for you, making this the most efficient shopping experience in Los Angeles. And it's not just wrapped. It is beautifully and lovingly wrapped. So you are in and out of this store before the line from the juice place next door have even moved. They also have a great selection of cards, whether you're looking for pretty, sentimental or downright hilarious. A+ all around to this completely handy hole-in-the-wall.

I came here in search of a coloring book for adults, last minute. I did find what I was looking for but was disappointed after I got home when I removed their price sticker. They had covered up the price printed on the book, which was $2 cheaper than what they sold it to me for. I guess it's my fault for not peeling off stickers to make sure the price wasn't jacked up. They have a No Refund policy, so I'm stuck with it. I won't be coming back, I feel like I got ripped off. :-/

Found this store online to buy something for my 6 year old granddaughter who was in Children's Hospital nearby. Lots of unique high quality toys and gifts which were perfect for her. The Owner hand delivered them himself at no extra cost. I'll definitely patronize them in the future!

Oh my god. What a wonderful little gift store. Staff is wonderful, there is an excellent selection of gifts for children and they come wrapped beautifully.. what else could you ask for..

Came in today around 5pm. It appeared that there were 2 employees working- one restocking and the other talking to someone. Neither acknowledge my entering the store (or me exiting). I found it weird that the one employee talking was loudly discussing relationships and what fills her "love tank" instead of being helpful. As we walked around looking at items there are some interesting things this store has to offer. I'm not sure how unique these items are to the store in particular as I feel like many things I could find elsewhere and for cheaper. Ultimately I just felt awkward and left.

Such a cute gift shop. Looking for really fun and unique gifts? This is your place. The best part about this shop is that everything is gift wrapped in their signature wrappings so you can leave and not have to worry about gift wrapping or bagging your cool find. Great options for gift recipients of any age. Fun and clever items for kids combined with unique and stunning gifts for adults. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I feel the service here is hit or miss. Sometimes they are great but other times they can be a bit preoccupied with their projects. The owner is very fun and engaging.

I had bookmarked Tweak after seeing a story about it on the tv news, so when I was in the area I figured I'd check it out. It's a small store, but they have a nice selection of well-curated items for many ages and tastes. The people who work there were very helpful and enthusiastic. I wound up getting a lap desk and a game for my husband. It's nice that things are pre-wrapped, but I didn't need the lap desk wrapped since it's for me. I didn't realize it was already wrapped until I got home. Next time I'll be sure to mention that I don't need an item wrapped it it's for myself. I wish they had this store in the South Bay!!

It's a really cute little place where all their stuff are gift wrapped for you!! Lots of cute cards to chose from that's not your traditional styles!! Their gifts are all a little different and the lady (assuming she is the owner) is super nice and helpful!! If you need a quick gift that's wrapped or a card in this area, I would highly recommend this place!!

A perfect spot to get gifts for kids and adults who are hard to shop for. My wonderful experience started with the inability to find parking (blame the West elm sale next door) and the woman on the phone told me to park in the back employee parking. Score! They had an amazing selection of kids gifts and wonderful suggestions. I was searching for a 1yr old bday gift and found a great selection of unusual books. It was a hit with the parents! This will be my go to store for gifts.

Updating my review One of the previous reviewer's said to go to the store to look at items you want to buy and then go on Amazon and order them because it will be cheaper. I really don't think that this approach is ethical because if you go to the store to check out the things that they have curated then you are saying that you like the person who runs the store and you think that they have great taste and you trust them to select gifts for your loved ones. How can this store stay open if all of the customers are using it to scout their favorite items and then ordering the items on Amazon prime? That just really isn't appropriate behavior and I do not recommend you to do that. I got two really cute candles one that says noddy and one that says nice. I really liked that I can pre-wrapped because that saved me a bunch of time and I could really picture what the gift would look like as I was giving it to the person. Because let's be honest some really cute gets it don't look great wrapped and that is part of the experience. I also got a really cute card and I really recommend them for their card selection. There were cake cutters and other housewarming type of gifts. They also had candles and really Q coffee-table books or the type of books that you could find at urban outfitters or Kitson but classier versions. You may not be able to wipe out all of your holiday shopping at the store in less you are shopping for a lot of families or kids. Being that most of my friends are in their 20s I wasn't able to do shopping for a bunch of my friends but I do have a friend who loves candles and for anyone who likes candles or house where this is a really really great store. Walking around there is just a really goodbye I love to look at everything and smell all the candles and the owner was super nice if you're in the area I definitely recommend stopping in and I found metered parking no problem. When I put the address from Yelp! into Google maps the directions took me into the alley behind the store but I just parked on a side street walked over to Beverly Boulevard in there it was super easy to find. I definitely recommend that you check this place out.u

Adorable little gift shop with all sorts of wonderful things, particularly for kids. The owner is very sweet and knows her inventory. A lot of things are pre-wrapped as gifts and she has a good stock of unique cards to go with it. Check out the half-prices book section for a good deal on the books that were previously on display.

Came here today after seeing Wendy Birch from KTLA this week . I had two people to shop for and they are hard to get Christmas gifts for. They have an array of stuff for everyone. I could have stayed hours if I didn't have my two kids. The staff were nice and the owner Tara was so sweet. My daughter had a ball playing with stuff. Definitely coming back. I have two birthdays in February and already know what I'm coming back for . They even gift wrapped your purchase.

Great cards and original toys for kids of various ages. The staff and owner are super friendly and helpful, and will play games in the store. I mean like sit there and play the actual games they sell. Also a lot of their gifts come wrapped so its super convenient if you are looking for a gift!

This is definitely the best curated shop for gifts. They have something for literally everyone in your life. I've never walked in and not had found something I've either knew existed or had thought, wow, so and so, would love that! (Though it's kind of more like, i want that for myself!) and the staff is super helpful and kind, and always makes you feel welcome to touch all their displays and what's even better, is that all of it can be beautifully gift wrapped. You need to buy a gift- you're not walking out of this place without one, for sure.

I came to this amazing shop a few week ago. I was grabbing a juice next door and it attracted my attention and went in. They have so many cute items and they are all pre wrapped. I did not go in with the intention of buying anything but I could not resist my self after seeing all the cute things they have and left with a really cool gift for my teenage son. I also had the opportunity to meet Tara the owner. She is such a lovely and helpful lady. I did notice she was a bit sad and she shared with me that she was very disappointed about a negative review she had received. It seemed very unfair to hear that way they had expressed themselves about her beautiful shop. Specially because as soon as you walk in the door you can see the love, passion and detail that goes into selecting each item that she offers. I was happy that I was able to express to her that I really loved her shop and that some of the items there took me back to childhood memories and I was trilled to share some of those items with my son. I went to my car and he was excited that I not only came back with his delicious juice but a little gift. And for him it was not just any gift. He is a writer so when he discovered that the gift was a note book, but one to write ideas and it even had inspirational quotes he was trilled.. Thank you Tara he loved his gift and we can't wait to be back in the area and visit your shop.

Popped in here before going into The Detox Market. It's a fun little shop owned by a woman entrepreneur! #shopsmall #womeninbiz. Each product os displayed and underneath there is the same product but nicely wrapped and ready to go. Perfect gift shop. I purchased a hard to find brand of notebook from Germany that I've been coveting for a year.

Favorite gift shop/toy store/ knick knack/host gifts store to get lost in.. everything in this store would make an amazing gift ! It is very well curated. For any occasion, you are sure to find something there unless they are low on stock.. which has happened to me once before. But still able to find something !

I have been doing my best to carve out space for myself during this time. Tweak has the PERFECT items for that. Beautiful personal care items such as scrubs, creams and the most awesome cuticle oil ( which really helps when I wash my hands 100 times a day). The best board games and puzzles for family time, and beautiful gratitude books and journals for those moments when the pandemic feels way too overwhelming for me. It's almost as if Tara and her stores are there to lift us up when all of this becomes too much.So grateful she is FaceTiming during this time, so I can still can take care of me and my family's needs, and support a small business I love so much.

You know how they say, to really know if a person is good, don't judge them by how they treat you. Instead, judge them by how they treat a waiter. This analogy double applies to store owners. To see if they are truly kind and welcoming, see how the react to cold-calls. I happened to be the latter a few months ago when I came to pitch my product to Tweak. To my surprise, I wasn't kicked out of the store (which happens pretty often), and instead i felt an enormous amount of love, kindness and welcomeness from Tara (the store owner) and her partner. This warmth along with the store's incredible vibe really impressed me. Even the slightest details, like "we close at 7:30 ish" showed great respect for all the guests of the store. No wonder they were chosen as one of the best gift stores in LA in 2013! Luckily, Tara, with her enthusiasm for something new, unique and unusual, gave my product a chance to be sold at her store (which turned out to be pretty succesful). Now I stop in every couple of weeks to see how things are going. And every time I come in, I'm impressed with the store even more. There wasn't a time when Tara wouldn't be helping customers. And in terms of the way she serves her customers - well, I could probably devote a separate review. It's the extreme attention to every detail of the customer experience. And do you think I got bored waiting for her? Not at all! There are soo many cool and interesting products to discover in the store that you can't possibly get bored. The selection of gifts is truly remarkable. To summarize, Tweak is the place for interesting and unique collections and comes equipped with a gift concierge to help find presents for any occasion. This is a really well curated shop. We came here for a last minute gift for a 1 year old and were able to find something really special and unique. I really loved that they had a display of each item, then the rest were pre-wrapped on the shelf. We collected a few wrapped items and then they tied them all up beautifully. Really nice experience here.

The only thing better than a great giftery is an owner who personally choses every "gift" as though preparing for a christmas party everyday. She pre-wraps them (year round) since there is most certainly something here that will remind you of someone you love, like, or hate but want to buy something for anyway because, damn, this store just has so many clever things - I was in there for an hour browsing. I performed a magic trick. I smelled candles. Laughed at cards and read from hilarious books. I heard a rare vinyl of a throwback 80s Magic Johnson Promo for the Lakers (back when they were good) on a record player that folds into a briefcase (I want it). Tara had something to do with that. Everyone on earth thinks they have a great sense of humor and great taste. Most people have neither - but Tara has both - and enough to go around, man. Meeting Tara was like bumping into that best friend from home you forgot you had. She makes you feel at home while also persuading you to buy the awesome shit she has all over her store. I bought like 6 things but wanted a dozen. She gift wrapped two of them (the others were pre-wrapped and one of them was a gift to myself... a DJ themed cutting board currently sitting in my kitchen). Looking for a gift? Go to Tweak. Wonderfully curated, I've frequented this gift store for years. It's great for both kids and adults! You can always find something. The prices aren't the best, but when you consider the gift-wrapping, it all evens out... plus, I love supporting a local business.

I stumbled across Tweak this year after stopping for a juice next door, and I've been a fan ever since. Tweak stands out among similar gifteries like Yolk, OK, Plastica because it has an awesome and wider selection of unique gifts, AND they have many pre-wrapped for you. I visited this store after a friend recommended it and I'm so glad I did. What a delightful "experience" it is just looking at all the interesting gifts and items in this store. I love that it's fun to explore, I love that you can buy an item already gift wrapped that looks like a million bucks. I was just going in to look and felt compelled to buy something because I fell in love with so many things. So I bought a Christmas present early and I'll be back.
