My partner and I loved our stay at Tesouro da Baixa by Shiadu. The location is unbeatable and our room was spacious, charming, and impressively quiet for such a central spot — perfect for restful nights after long days exploring the city. Breakfast was great with a solid spread to start the day, but the real highlight was the staff. João’s energy in the mornings instantly put us in a good mood, and Telma and Iris in the evenings were incredibly welcoming, kind, and thoughtful. They truly made our stay feel special. Would absolutely stay here the next time we are in Lisbon.

The hotel was extremely comfortable and in a perfect location within walking distance of all the main attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing—definitely a must-try! My only suggestion is to improve the entrance signage. It was a bit hard to find, and since the reception floor wasn't clearly marked, I was a little confused when I first arrived. Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay and I highly recommend it to other travelers!

I stayed in a family room with my family and then stayed a few extra days in Lisbon in a single standard room. I was very pleased with the stay as it was a last minute decision to stay extra nights due to a sudden change in my plans. Not only are the staff extremely friendly, they are very helpful and advised me as to where to visit and how to get around. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful (they even make you any egg you’d like upon request). The location of Tesouro de Baixa is perfect and close to museums, main squares (I was there during Christmas and it was near two Christmas markets) and of course many many restaurants. The beds were comfortable and the showers were warm with good pressure. They offer complimentary coffee and tea from their organic farm all day. I noticed that the environment was a priority for them in general which I personally appreciate a lot. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to those who want to stay in a central part of Lisbon at a great place.

What a wonderful stay at Tesouro da Baixa by Shiadu! The location is ideal — right next to a charming little square that comes alive in the evenings with take-away food and drinks, perfect for a relaxed night out. The hotel itself is spotless and well maintained, and our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight: an excellent buffet with plenty of variety and portions more than enough to keep you satisfied well past lunchtime. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with any request. Overall, a delightful experience — clean, comfortable, great location, and warm service. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful stay at Hotel Tesouro da Baixa by Shiadu! From the moment we arrived, Helena made us feel right at home — she took the time to explain the different neighborhoods of Lisbon and gave fantastic local tips. She also helped us book several activities, making our trip smooth and stress-free. The breakfast was a highlight: delicious, fresh, and a perfect start to each day. The hotel’s atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the location was ideal for exploring the city. Highly recommended — can’t wait to come back!

Google
Location was decent, close to the Christmas markets and restaurants, retailers. The beds were really uncomfortable and rooms fairly compact. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Front Desk Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are just looking for a basic room in a fairly central location, it's a good choice. If you are looking for more comfort and amenities, or a longer stay, I would look elsewhere.

What a wonderful stay at Hotel Tesouro da Baixa by Shiadu! From start to finish the experience felt personal, intimate and incredibly relaxing. Telma and Marcus are outstanding hosts — warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel like old friends, remembering our preferences and always greeting us with smiles. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the city. We left feeling refreshed and genuinely cared for. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a true home-away-from-home in the heart of town.

We loved our stay at Hotel Tesouro da Baixa! The Tesouro team were absolutely fabulous — attentive, friendly, and always on hand (often more than one person!) to answer questions and help with anything from check‑in to check‑out. The hotel is great value for money. Breakfast was a highlight: amazing variety, delicious homemade goodies, and something for every taste. Our bedroom was lovely and spacious, with high‑quality bed linen that made the bed incredibly comfortable. Exceptionally clean. Everything felt welcoming and well cared for. The location is fabulous too - perfect for sightseeing, food and drinks. We’ll definitely be back next time we visit Lisbon!

Yelp
My family and I stayed here for 2 nights in December. We had three separate rooms and were trying to be next to or close to each other, but that didn't happen. We were each on separate floors, and my sister was even in a separate (though connected) building. I've stayed at boutique hotels before but this one is super 'boutique' wherein no two rooms are the same. Not sure how I feel about that. The hotel is located on the second floor and in between two shoe stores but they sent directions beforehand, so it was pretty clear how to enter the building. Here is some of the good and bad: Pros: -Breakfast is included and it's a pretty decent selection. They even have eggs made to order, and the eggs are super fresh -Free coffee/tea 24/7 -Towel warmers in the bathroom Cons: -We were located on the 6th floor, but the elevator only goes up to the 5th floor. Meaning we had to lug our luggage up and down the stairs. The elevators are also super cramped so if you're claustrophobic, it's definitely not for you -I think the rooms on the lower floors have been renovated because our room looked super old. I'm almost certain there might have been a few murders that went down in our room back in the day, because it just gives that vibe. There's a semi-hidden extra single bed, and some locked half doors in the room. Since it was the top floor, half the room had the slanted ceiling because of the roof -Since ours was an older room, we didn't have a rainfall shower -HUGE dead roach on ground floor of the building, which isn't really the hotels fault but you know if you see one in the building, there is bound to be some in the hotel. Luckily, we didn't come across any other ones, dead or alive The rooms on the booking website looked fine. My family's rooms looked more in line with what we saw online. But I guess they don't really advertise the murder room. Overall, it was just not a comfortable stay. I couldn't wait to leave. At least everything was clean?

Yelp
Cute hotel nestled between a shoe store - super easy to miss so just look for wooden door between calçado guimarães shoes. For this area at night - we ubered back once it got dark and didn't walk. Breakfast was good, room clean and very comfortable. The A/C kicked butt! Staff was friendly and breakfast reception area decorated very cute with upside down lamps. This isn't a "typical" hotel - you check in with a very friendly staff member in a common area at a desk which is also the place for happy hour and breakfast but I thought it was quaint as opposed to other reviewers who complained about this aspect. It was a good value and clean!

Yelp
This place is a dump! Don't look at the description, it is ALL false. It's more like a hostel, not a hotel. It's between 2 shoes stores in a sketchy area. My wife and I booked 2 rooms months before our arrival for ourselves and our 3 young kids (ages 12, 9, and 5). At the time of booking they said they will try to room us together (they had no family rooms available). When we got there, they had us on different floors! We tried to cancel and even looked up other hotels but they begged us to check in and give them till the next morning. They said they didn't know we wanted rooms near each other but by AM people would check out. Once the morning happened, they said they had nothing and we had to deal with it. The hotel room had a broken toilet, broken AC, a red stain on their "clean towels, and the phone wasn't working. I was in their reception area in my pajamas trying to get them to at least fix the AC. They turned off the toilet and found a way to get the AC working, but the phone was still broken. The next morning they told me they were "working on the phone" with a dismissive attitude. Unfortunately, the weather dropped the next day so we needed heat, so I turned the heat on. Once I turned the heat on, the AC could not be turned on later that day. I was told the units are all connected between the rooms so if one unit has heat, others cannot have an AC! The breakfast was descent but there were flies on the food so not very hygienic. The staff was dismissive of the temperature situation and the phone. I finally gave up and just got another hotel. They refused to refund me anything saying simply "we are front desk we will let reservations know." The pics you are seeing are ALL deceiving. Their bed is a cot on the floor (pics attached to this review). The bathroom have no locks, the entrance is between 2 shoe stores, and overall there is lack of cleanliness. I don't know how they get away with calling this a guesthouse. I remember backpacking thru Europe in college and staying at hostels. This is a HOSTEL! There is nothing hotel-like here and I do not know how they get away with spreading false info. Buyer beware, this place is an absolute dump!

Yelp
I am so happy I made a reservation at this wonderful Boutique Guesthouse! Even before checking in they were wonderful and quick to help me with my airport transfer. I loved my time there from check-in to leaving (and I didn't want to leave!). The welcome process was exceptional with Catarina and she gave me exceptional suggestions on how to spend my day and a half in Lisbon (I took up all her suggestions and was completely happy with all outcomes!). My room was superb--roomy, clean, comfortable, secure and quiet. The location was so convenient to everything. The breakfast was superb with local dishes that were fresh and tasty. The entire staff from Catarina, Joao and Dimitri were so welcoming and helpful. Of all my travels around the world, Tesouro da Baixa by Shiadu is definitely my favorite and am looking forward to going back as soon as possible!

Yelp
5 stars out of 5 for: - super convenient location - in the heart of their downtown (Baixa) - around the corner - in Plaça Figueroa, there's an all artisan market for food and things from Thursday - Friday and it's open late (tried the different sausages and cheeses) - the hotel just celebrated it's 1st year anniversary so everything is fresh - the staff (from front desk to kitchen) are exceptional - so helpful, informative and accommodating - open concept 1st floor -- the decor in the lobby / restaurant / minibar is simple and eclectic, and guests have access to this space 24/7; there's water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate always available - you just have to help yourself - there is 24/7 staff - the door to this guesthouse boutique hotel you might easily miss because it's literally in between the doors of a shoes store (the hotel shares the building space with the shoe store - very convenient if you're looking for a Portuguese brand of reasonably priced shoes - the room we had was very clean, comfortable and have a view of one of the main streets and one of the neighbourhoods up on a hill - our stay included breakfast (set from 7am - 10:30 am) loads of selection - close to all public transit but really best to explore Lisbon by foot - hands down a great pick for accommodations in Lisbon!

Yelp
Don't bother paying extra for cancellation option. This hotel will NOT respond to emails, calls, etc. regarding cancellation and will completely ignore any attempt on your behalf to cancel. You might as well book the regular "no cancellation" at the lower price.

Yelp
This is a place that makes you feel like you're home away from home. I've never seen a team so polite and professional 24 hours a day. From the first hello to the last goodbye you feel taken care of. A special thanks to Joao, Liliana, Josefa, and Mika for being so amazing to my daughter and I. Do not hesitate to book at any of their properties.

Yelp
A great value for a hotel. Right downtown in walking distance of everything. Room was very spacious, more so than most hotel rooms, and very clean. Pretty good free breakfast. Extremely helpful staff. Good Wi-fi.
