From the moment I sat down, TEST delivered a symphony of flavors, textures, and visual artistry. Every dish and drink felt like a piece of edible art, beautifully plated, thoughtfully composed, and bursting with creativity. The presentation was breathtaking: delicate leaves, vibrant sauces, and sculptural plating that made each course feel like a discovery. The cocktails were equally impressive, intricate, aromatic, and balanced, served in hand-blown glasses that complemented the dishes perfectly. The progression of the tasting menu flowed effortlessly, from refreshing openers to deeply savory mains and ethereal desserts. Highlights included the tender fish paired with a silky sauce, the earthy richness of local produce, and a dessert that balanced floral and creamy notes with precision. Service was impeccable: attentive but never intrusive, with each dish carefully explained. The atmosphere was intimate and refined, with soft lighting and modern rustic touches that enhanced the sensory experience. And as someone from Puerto Rico, I truly loved the background music, salsa playing in the background, it made me feel right at home and added a warm, joyful energy to such a refined dining experience. This was not just dinner, it was an immersive journey through flavor, culture, and artistry. A must-visit for anyone who loves fine dining elevated to an art form.

We made reservations here a month in advance and had to pay a 100,000 COP deposit. When we got there, we were the only ones there, so unclear why they try and exclude people with the deposit. Over the next 90 minutes, 3 other people showed up including the girlfriend of one of the staff, but it was kind of dead for a Saturday night. Our server was excellent. All of the seating for 2 were at high-top tables, a less relaxing option. The tasting menu had 9 courses, but the a la carte menu had only 6 options including dessert. We were never given a drink menu though we were asked if we wanted wine or a cocktail. I had a nice glass of Spanish white - the pour was not generous. The food was good but not amazing for the price point. Mostly too salty for our preference. Overall, we were a bit disappointed.

We were quite disappointed with our experience at Test Kitchen Lab. Considering the price, we expected a much higher standard of food. Unfortunately, the only dish we truly enjoyed was the fish — everything else fell flat in terms of flavor and quality. Overall, it did not live up to the hype, and we wouldn’t recommend it.

I have mixed feelings about this dining experience. The atmosphere was fantastic—intimate, open, and allowed us to watch the talented chefs and bartenders in action. The music was a great touch, and the staff was attentive and friendly. We particularly enjoyed the unique aspect of a fixed tasting menu at specific times for both lunch and dinner. As for the food, it was exceptional. Both the taste and presentation were top-notch, and in terms of presentation, it was probably the best we’ve seen in Medellín. The drink pairings were also well thought out, with creative and expertly executed combinations that elevated the meal. However, the price was a major downside. We’ve experienced other tasting menus in the area, and this one was by far the most expensive. While the quality of the food was high, the portion sizes didn’t seem to justify the cost. While we’re glad we had the experience, we likely won’t return given the steep price point.

TEST Kitchen Lab is a small restaurant located on a second floor building. It is nicely decorated with a long bar that includes a small open kitchen at the end of the bar where you can observe dishes being produced. My husband had the 8 course menu, and I had a 4 course menu. There were drink pairings that accompanied each course. We were served delicious delicacy prepared small plates that look more like art. It’s really more of an experience than simply dining. Each dish was delicious and the drinks were excellent. The host was very attentive. We did have difficulty finding the place but with the help of some local people, we were able to figured it out.

Most annoying restaurant i think I have ever been to. One tiny sign inside the entrance to a different restaurant. Taking the stairs up one flight there was an unmarked elevator. Elevator will not allow you to go to the 3rd floor. So you have to go to the 5th and come down to 3rd or find the stairs to go up. Stairs are very dark. Upon entering I was told you have to have a reservation to have someone come to meet you and bring you in the elevator. I was 1 of 3 tables occupied on a Saturday night at 830. The help likes to try to talk you through every single thing and tell you how amazing everything is. Kitchen. Is a hot pot and small oven behind the bar. I can't imagine how they would serve everyone of the place was full. I ordered the pork dish and it came with a puree of pumpkin. Which was tepid and in the words of my grandmother food should be either hot or cold. The pork was pork belly that they were proud to have soaked for 3 days in salt but really was tough and had very little flavor. They didn't have 2 of the 4 desserts shown on the menu. I almost ordered one of their multi dish experiences. So glad I did not. I ate 2 prices of the meat and asked for it to be packed to so I could give it to someone in need outside. Never again here. Oh and the place mat is a really scratchy annoying material. But I give it one good thing. The place seemed very clean and orderly.

Wow. Everything about this place was INCREDIBLE. During our 9 month trip, we have eaten at a lot of amazing restaurants and this one is by far one of the best. The flavour in every mouthful was ridiculously good and the drinks pairing with each course was perfect. They also catered to my pescatarian diet and the mushroom main instead of the beef was unbelievable! The service was attentive but not overbearing and they explained each dish so well which made it all the more enjoyable. The ambience of the place was relaxing and beautiful and I felt that it was extremely reasonably priced for the quality you receive.

My wife and I decided to do the 8 course tasting last night. Every dish was amazing and the cocktails that come with them are just as good. They were very accommodating in letting us switch one of the dishes so we could try a different one we really wanted. All dishes and cocktails are made with local Colombian ingredients. If you’ve never done tasting meals like this before just know it is a long (3 hours for 8 courses) experience and a bit pricy (430,000 each) but completely worth the time and money.
