What to Eat and Drink at Disney World’s EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival

"One of the best returning favorites this year is The Fry Basket, located near the Refreshment Station near the Test Track attraction. The food stand features four styles of fries: Adobo Yuca Fries, Truffle-Parmesan Fries, BBQ Bacon Fries, and Sweet Potato Casserole Fries. While you can get these as separate dishes, real EPCOT pros know to order the Fry Flight where you get smaller portions of all four options." - Megan duBois

Classic must-do ride at Epcot. Test track version 3 is better than the second version but nothing beats the first version. This latest iteration felt like I was in a car commercial. I think they’re moving away from why it was one of the most loved rides which was the explanation of how cars were tested. Miss that creativity.

The newly updated Test Track at EPCOT is a sleek refresh of a classic! The ride still follows the same high-speed track we know and love, but the visuals, graphics, and vehicles have all been reimagined. The updated storyline leans into the design and innovation legacy of General Motors (the new sponsor), and while the build-your-own-car feature is gone, the queue now highlights GM concept vehicles—futuristic, stylish, and definitely conversation starters. The lobby area of the queue is a huge improvement—bright, modern, and with windows where you can catch a sneak peek of the ride car before going through its final safety check. There's no longer an interactive design game, but the overall aesthetic is clean, immersive, and refreshingly updated. The ride vehicles themselves look brand new, and the updated lighting and visuals inside the ride give it a fresh, energetic vibe. The single rider line is still available and can be a great time-saver. If you're nostalgic for the old Test Track, you’ll still feel the thrill. But if you’re ready for a streamlined, tech-forward twist, this update delivers. Recommended!

I had to go on this when they opened it. A bit of an educational experience, but overall, a high speed boosted (but very short) thrill ride where you experience Daytona like corners at high speed. This can be a busy ride with long lines. We were there off season so it wasn't bad for us.

Google
This attraction is a great ride. The single rider line gets you on it faster than the standby line. The lightning lane is helpful as well but you also get yourself on the ride as well. It’s updated and is a fantastic experience to do even with the family. The experience is great starting inside then going for a loop outside at 65mph it’s one of my go to rides.

Derek Murphy

Google
I love this ride. It appears each time they overhaul it gets worse visually. The ride is fast and is family friendly. It has some sudden stops and can go over 60 miles per hour. If you like cars this is worth your time. It is one of the best rides at Epcot.

Google
We were able to get a preview of the updated Test Track. WOW!!!! Guys, it will open soon for the rest of the patrons. The line will be long for sure, it’s almost a 5 minute ride. They made a lot of changes to the ride. There was a lot of brainstorming in the development of the new track.

Test Track is better and faster than before! Displays are modernistic as you wait in line to board your 6 passenger vehicle. We didn't wait to get in the building, but we did wait for 90 minutes inside for inclement weather to pass so that we could ride. Rain wasn't letting up. Finally, we had to exit at 12:30, and we got Lightning Lane passes on the way out. We checked the app often to see when we could return. It stopped raining at 1:30, and at 2:15, we saw that we could board. We got right in and we were directed to the first row of the first car. This was excellent seating! We saw everything. The usual elements are in play (heat, cold, bad roads), and the computerized host builds 2 or 3 new cars for us to see ourselves in. Before we get on the fast track, we see a vision of the future. On the test track, we get up to 65MPH. It was not overly bumpy or jarring - here or along the way. When we got out, we found our photo displayed and used our magic bands to save it to our account. Unfortunately, we both turned our heads! On the way to the exit, we passed General Motors' cars on display. It looks like more will be added in the future. We are looking forward to riding Test Track again.

Creating a car and testing it was awesome. The queue was great with all the showcase cars. The rides broke down on me countless times but it's still super fun.

Yelp
Got yanked around like a crash test dummy and I loved it! Test Track was definitely one of the funner rides at EPCOT. Before the ride, we designed a wonky virtual concept car to test. Once we buckled up, we went for a spin on the test track! It quickly became clear that our design didn't affect the track experience. Instead, the track revealed whose design performed best at each test in the circuit. There were plenty of sudden jerking movements indoors. At the end, we zoomed across the outdoor track at 65 mph! After the ride, we raced our car around a virtual track with other users. The line was 45 minutes long. I'd wait in line again if we had spare time!

Yelp
Test Track in Epcot is one of the more popular rides here in the park. That also means that the wait times are though bit longer as well but if you don't mind breaking up from the group there is a single rider line which it is extremely helpful. There's tons to do in the queue or you can design a car and fix up elements of it to see how it performs with other designed vehicles. It's probably a bit controversial on how fun this ride actually is and some may even say this is a bit overrated. This ride starts off by going through a series of tests of mobility and then at the very end you speed off outside through a track. Be sure to pose for the camera to the right shortly after you start the high-speed section of the track. I believe that this is one of the fastest moving rides on property although it doesn't feel like it is. Test Track of the one of my go to rides whenever I come here to Epcot. There's a bunch of Chevy vehicles that you can look at afterwards in the show room too. It's a fun ride but it also depends on what the wait times are for this Epcot classic.

Yelp
What a great ride that has been around for a while. At the start you get to make your own car and play with different things that actually affect your score at the end of the ride. Then you get to use your car to do the testing in the ride, which is fast and jerks. It's really cool that you can make your car and then see how it actually performs. A must when you see in Epcot.

Yelp
My group of friends had a really fun experience on this ride! We were split into two groups of three and designed our cars. Then once we got on the ride (we all sat in one car, 3 in front, 3 in back), the ride was literally like a test track where new cars are tested for safety, efficiency, and best of all, SPEED! Your design doesn't have any effect on the ride, but as you go through the ride, it shows you your car design and rates it on screens. At the end, you get 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place for overall design. I don't understand how our group's sleek car was 2nd place to our other friend group's Scooby Doo looking mystery machine design hahaha but that just made it funnier anyway.

Yelp
Great ride at Epcot. You get to design your own car and the properties that you assign to it gets tested in different conditions throughout the ride including the best part at the end, the speedy test around the track. For some reason this ride always has a very long wait, 45-90 mins I've waited before. It's a lot of fun, but I wouldn't wait over an hour for it. It also seems to have technical difficulties every time I go to Epcot and is temporarily closed for part of the day.

Yelp
Great ride. Super fast and fun. It's a lot faster than Radiator Springs Racers at Disneyland.
google avatar

Jackson Y.

Yelp
Probably the best "ride" at Epcot. You and 5 other passengers are placed in a "car" that zips through a course. This is the closest thing to a roller coaster in this park. You start by "building" your virtual car. This doesn't really affect the actual car you ride in, but at the end of the ride, they give you a score on how well your virtual car performs. When exiting, you walk through what seems like a Chevy dealership. TL/DR: the top attraction at Epcot as evidenced by the 90 minute wait in line. All the other rides were 15 minutes or less.
google avatar

Rachel F.

Yelp
It didn't click with me that this was a roller coaster until I was on it, which was a fun surprise for me! Fast, but fairly mild, loved it! It also meant my non-roller-coaster-loving friends were a little shocked, but they ended up enjoying it as well.

Yelp
I enjoy it!!! It's an Ultimate Test Drive Cruise over (the Eastern side of Epcot) to the Chevrolet Design Center to create (before Covid) your own virtual concept car. When you're done, buckle up in a 6-passenger "SIM Car" and take it for a simulated excursion through the (dark) rigorous testing procedures that General Motors uses to evaluate its concept cars. Accelerate through rough terrain and obstacles along a testing circuit including inclement weather, curves banked at 50-degree angles and scaling hills. You get to reach speeds of up to 65 miles per hour as you put you car through the tests, culminating in a high-speed drive around the exterior of the attraction. After each test, check the scoreboard to see how your vehicle performed! My video is on my channel PrettyJulsTravels & Living on YouTube

Yelp
One of the first thrill rides at Epcot, test track is a must do for the entire family (as long as your family is tall enough to get on!) The rid queue is stunning and also very twisty-turny. The queue is very futuristic, showing prototypes of cars that may one day be designed, as well as some real cool designs of cars now and possibly in the future as well! The ride has an area where you load into, with a computer screen, and you get to design your own car and "race" it on the track against other people in your ride vehicle. Unfortunately because of covid, this section is blocked off for the time being. The ride itself is designed like you are a test dummy in a car that is being designed to handle the road and weather it may throw at you! The ride takes place inside AND outside! The ride involves going up hills, going down hills while checking the brakes, speeding up and immediate slowing down, as well as twisting and curving around some hills! Truly makes you feel like you're in the future on this right. On the outside, you blast off through a door that opens at the last second and you race around the outer part of the ride, reaching a top speed of 65 miles per hour, around an insane banking curve! There are a couple surprises to look out for while on the ride! Overall an amazing ride! At the end, you can even see how your car did against every car that was designed that day and have it displayed! They also have an enormous section with purchasable cars right in the exit of the ride! Definitely a must do ride if you are at Epcot!!!

Yelp
My daughter's first time at Disney World Epcot. She absolutely enjoyed Test Track. Test Track is located inside Epcot, next to Mission Mars. Disney World has put in-place proper social distancing guidelines for Test Track, with waiting in queue 6 ft apart. Hand sanitizers are located before and after the ride. With all of the new guidelines in-place, Test Track does not allow you to customize your own vehicle. The customization is turned off. Automatic designed vehicles are displayed during your ride through Test Track. Test Track is one of my daughter and I's favorite rides at Epcot. You buckle-up in a 6 seat car. Right now, Disney World is operating one car per family. Once you take off in Test Track, you run through several different simulations test during the ride such as efficiency and responsiveness. It is a dark ride and goes relatively quickly once you are outside. After each test, it will bench mark your vehicle against other vehicles. During the last part of the ride, you'll get to go outside on the test track, at about 65 mph. It's pretty fun! Afterwards, you're presented with a variety of Chevrolet vehicles. Pretty neat!

Yelp
Epcot (Orlando) FUTURE WORLD EAST We had a FastPass+ for this ride. Twice we had to get in line, the first time they had to stop the ride due to rain especially if there was any chance of lightning. We tried to wait it out but the rain didn't seem to let up. This ride is mostly indoors and maybe not required to close in mild or moderate rainy weather but we experienced sudden extreme downpour and got delayed because the last part of this ride was an outdoor ride. We left the line but they reopened again after the rain stopped and we got in for a second try. Before we began our journey we created our own turbo dream sim car. I don't know anything about creating a car but I did choose the color of my sim-car. At some point while in line we were shown tests performed on the cars and its parts before they were released. The ride is a simulated journey going through extremely thorough testing procedures that GM uses to asses its autos. The best part was the last part... the ride. Test Track reached speeds up to some crazy 65 mph, which was a little scary for a thrill ride but the track had no roller coaster dips or inversions or anything like that. Other than slight banking, it is really concentrated on acceleration and speed. Wheeee! That was fun! At the end of the ride, as we exited, the screens showed us how our car did from the parts we chose. Categories were Power, Responsiveness, Capability and Efficiency. Fun but boo! on the rain... Yelp
Great thrill ride!! One of the better thrill rides at Epcot (maybe the only one?). Good ride for kiddos who may not be ready for a Rock 'n' Roller Coaster but ready for a thrill ride. I remember going to Epcot in 2000 and Test Track was the talk of the town - even with a fast pass the wait was an hour. I also remember the theme of the ride being one of safety testing and crash dummies. I think guests were the test dummies! So I was surprised to see Test Track of today being all about cars and their efficiencies, capability, and speed! Test Track lets you create your own custom concept vehicle and "test" it out on the ride/track. The queue is super interactive and helps the time go by while waiting in line. You get a decent amount of time designing your car but this time still goes by fast. Your MagicBand comes into play with uploading your design to your ride. So make sure you scan it before loading onto the ride. Once you buckle in your ride - you go through four different tests to see how well your car stood up to each test. Most of the ride is inside/"dark ride". The tests are capability, efficiency, responsiveness, and power. The tests are not too thrilling - some jerking around and some quick turns but nothing like the end of the ride. After each test is complete you get a score of how well your concept car held up. The best part of Test Track is the final leg of the ride - a 65 mph high-speed drive! You finally break free from inside and take a spin outside. After the ride be sure to check out the Chevrolet vehicles - felt like I was at a Detroit Auto Show!

Yelp
This review is only a two because the ride is fun. Yes I would recommend this ride because it's so amazing and you get to design and drive fast but the staff (especially you Mike) needs to chill. Yelling at me 2 in yellow 3 in green when there literally is no green on the floor it's literally yellow i don't know if Mike is slow or colorblind but I do know that he's rude and needs to be fired. I'm at the happiest place on earth and Mike needs to go back to kindergarten to learn his colors.

Yelp
Such a fun ride. You start off building your own car and it's a race so make sure to scan your magic band or card. Cool cars (chevy) to look at on the way out of the ride. It's all together a very fun experience. The store is nice. Plenty of gear for those that like chevy. Definitely one of my favorite rides. Genie+ is a must. Lines get long quickly. Great times.

Yelp
Test Track is the best ride at Epcot and in my Top 5 for all Disney parks combined. While its long wait times can make this a good fast pass selection, we typically choose Soarin' and take our chances here. We've had great luck riding fast by choosing the single rider line. Anyone 7 years or older can choose this option. The standby line for Test Track is enclosed and interesting. It describes cool, modern technology and before your ride you design your own car. The car design is uploaded on your magic band and it can be scanned before you get on the ride. The car's performance will be tracked and compared to other in your car. The ride itself is awesome. It's like being a test car dummy and later a NASCAR driver. Parts of the track go outside, which makes Test Track vulnerable to storms and lightning. The ride ends in a fun, interactive area. You can design another car, play games and take fun pictures with cars. So much laughter with my boys! You'll also pass through a gift shop before exiting completely.

Yelp
What a ringing endorsement for Chevy and American made cars... During the span of our pitiful ESTIMATED 60 minute wait time the ride broken down at least 5 times. (ACTUAL time was closer to 150 minutes.) They even had to rotate between a male and female announcer to deliver the awful news. The standby line people either chose to bail OR suck it up and waste away our lives. I should have resigned to defeat earlier and sat on the ground when they announced the mechanical issues. Part of the line is disguised by the back wall. When you get to that point it could be another hour until you actually get to design anything. By the time we reached the "team design" phase we lost all excitement. We wanted to just get on the ride and get through this horrible experience. We mostly selected random features. They only give you about 10 minutes or less anyway on the giant touch screen to customize it. Each vehicle seats up to 6 so you're better off just EACH zipping through the SINGLE rider. The team aspect only matters for the brief tablet screen section. It's also an amalgamation with digital stats of your selected performance. The actual ride experience is the same for everyone. You scan your card or fast pass before you get on the ride. I'm not sure if it randomizes a car if you personally haven't customized one? The actual ride itself in the beginning was a big jerky to test some of its features like steering and braking. Only at the end does it feel "fast". Even so it doesn't even break 60 mph. I'm sure the experience is more enjoyable if you've only waited a reasonable amount of time. At the VERY END you get to see how your design compared to the rest of the ones submitted for the day. However, NOT before you are forced to slog through their not so subtle Chevy Showroom. No I do not want to buy one of your vehicles if this piss poor engineering demonstrated in its frequent breakdowns is a preview of your shoddy workmanship. Seriously if you look through the reviews, the mechanical failures pop up rather frequently! Anyway my design scored 209 and the high was 231 for the day. It does not make waiting in line for nearly 2.5 hours any easier. It fatigued me for the rest of the day and other rides. As far as I can tell Chevy has nothing else to do with Disney aside from paying a huge amount of money to have this giant product placement in Epcot.

Yelp
So this is one of the top level rides at Epcot along with Soaring. We have road it a few times and it is always fun. If you can get a fastpass it is highly recommended. The car will go through some test car sections with your car competing with everyone elses to see who passes that section. Once done with that you go outside and race around the build at 60+ miles and hour. That part is quick be lots of fun. I want to do it at night. There is lots of fun to be had even once you are done with the ride as you can drive your car in a few games out front as well as get some unique photos. This is a great ride if you can get a fast pass or want to go single rider but the standard line is usually pretty long.

Yelp
Test Track was a big deal when it opened back in 1997, mainly because it was only Epcot's second thrill ride (the first being Body Wars). Even still, this proved to be a headliner attraction because it encompassed an entire pavilion vs. just being a component of another. I've ridden Test Track multiple times both pre and post refresh and agree with the consensus that it shouldn't be missed - especially if it's your fist visit to the park. Test Track replaced World of Motion, an omnimover ride that showcased the history and possible future of transportation. What people may not realize is that when they were constructing Test Track, they did not demolish the building World of Motion was in, so that structure is original to the park. Test Track is a much more exciting ride than World of Motion, giving the guest an opportunity to build a custom car and then testing it out. The testing includes different weather situations, speeds, and overall handling. The highlight of the ride was testing your vehicle on the motorway, where you'll reach high speeds while making sharp turns and sudden (small) drops. For a while Disney advertised Test Track as the "longest" ride in WDW, but I think they're referring to sheer distance you travel, because the ride is actually pretty short in terms of time. The refresh a few years back updated the facade and gave the guest more option for vehicle customization which I thought was a good thing, but for the most part the ride has remained the same since it opened. For me, it's fun but I don't make an effort to ride it every time I go - it's a great ride it's just not my favorite. That being said, if this is your first trip to Epcot or someone who seeks thrill rides I definitely recommend you visit Test Track.

Yelp
I love Test Track! I had not been on this ride since 2003 and I remembered enjoying it quite a bit. I was excited to come back nearly 15 years later and go on this again. The bones of this ride seemed similar, but I feel like the ride had changed a lot cosmetically. I'd say the thrill level on here is medium. You do get jerked around a bit on the testing track. You zoom around the track at the end at speeds of around 60 MPH. The vehicle you ride in has 3 seats in the front and 3 in the back. My pro tip for this ride is to hit the single rider line!!! This is perfect for adults visiting the park without young kids, you will be on the ride 3-5x faster than if you wait in the standby line. So go this route if you can and save your Fast Passes for Soarin' instead! I did single rider a few times here and the wait was maybe 10-15 minutes at most when Disney had moderate crowds. My husband and I always do single rider when we can at Disney parks since we don't mind the temporary split if it means avoiding a long line. There is a giant car showroom as you exit the ride, tons of Chevy cars to check out. The exit from this attraction also features a good sized gift shop with plenty of overpriced Disney trinkets.

Yelp
Test Track was closed while we were at WDW last (January of 2020), but it was always one of my favorite rides in Epcot. Lines can get long for this one, so a FastPass is always recommended, or they have a single rider line option. I'm not a big car buff, but I like fast rides, so Test Track appeals to me for that reason. The queue area has been updated in the past several years with screens to build your own custom car which you then are "testing" through a series of tests. Capability, efficiency, responsiveness, and power are all tests you'll experience on Test Track. I love when you go out onto the outside track! The ride gets up to almost 65 mph, so it's definitely thrilling. Definitely try to get a FastPass for Test Track if you like thrill rides.

Yelp
For those of you who have been on Radiator Springs Racers in Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, CA, think of Test Track as the older, much cooler brother. The race...or speed portion goes fast!! Maximum speed is 64.9 mph. And ladies, hold on to your weaves, strip lashes or lash extensions. I had no doubt a few of my lash extensions flew off on this. Your key words to avoid a 60+ hr stand by wait are ROPE DROP. Say it with me.....ROPE. DROP. That means sacrifice a few minutes of sleep, wake your ass up early and come to Epcot before it opens. Once it does, head on over here. We did that and our stand by wait was only 15 minutes. We even got to do this twice in a row. As we exited after our second time, the stand by wait shot up to 50 minutes. And this was within only 30 minutes after opening!!!!! You get (3) "Tier 1" options to choose from. This, Soarin and Frozen Ever After. My advice is pick one for your fastpass+ reservation and then try and do the other two at rope drop. If you arrive early, I'm sure you can get them done and out of the way. Maybe even go on twice with something you enjoy.

Yelp
Even if you've never been to Epcot at the Walt Disney World resort, you likely heard of the ride/retraction test track. It goes without saying that test track is in a tie with saurian for best ride at Epcot... Sorry Elsa, the new ride just doesn't cut it! This is most definitely one of the two attraction to use your "good ride" (and Soarin but that's a separate review!) fast pass on. This is kinda a toss up because Test Track does have a single rider line, but you will not ride with your party....ever. One other thing is with the single rider you don't get to design your own car. You will be in whatever car someone else created. The line at Test Track is pretty long 60-90+ on a regular basis. So, it's a toss up because the wait time for Soarin' is always reallllyyyy long. If you're not concerned with seeing Illuminations, you could probably get on Test Track pretty easy around 8:45. If you definitely want a good picture, then make sure you're in the front row. The back isn't terrible, but my lil shorty of a girl and you can never see her. One other thing I will add is that there is something to be said about riding test track at night. It feels like you're going faster and you don't have to lose the illusion by seeing all the behind the scenes stuff below the exterior loop.
google avatar

Yelp
I was waiting for almost an entire hour in line just to be told that they "encountered technical difficulties" and shut down the ride. These employees should have warned us beforehand that this ride was so unreliable that it could break down within the minute and waste your and your friends and family's time. In the nicest tone I can muster, fuck this ride.

Yelp
Long lines, fast cars and it's family oriented!!! Sign me up...well not for the long lines but hey this ride is worth it! I am in LOVE with speed, and a good time with the family! It's great how they have several cars on display for you to pose with for that perfect Instagram selfie! They have futuristic cars and just some of the luxury ones as well. Love how they have changed up the process of how you start the ride as well. Instead of going into a safety room, which yes is important they have made it more interactive for the group. You get to build your groups car together and then it's voted in to see if it will be featured. I would say if you have motion sickness, this is not for you due to the fact it does go fast and they are several sudden stops. If you are a thrill seeker like me, then it will get the adrenaline rolling but nothing too crazy! All in all this is a solid ride! Yes the lines are always long unless you take the single rider lane, but other than that it's a good time!!

Yelp
Not having been to Epcot in several years, it took me a while to realize that it wasn't that I had forgotten much about the ride but that it had been revamped and updated in several positive ways. The pre-ride videos have been updated--sorry John Michael Higgins fans!--as have many of the queue elements, modernizing the ride. The biggest change, however, is that each pair of riders will get to "create" their own vehicle, and your designs are tied to your ticket or bracelet and are featured throughout the ride. You can even put together a short commercial featuring the vehicle that you created. While not perfect, these elements add quite a bit to the pre- and post-ride experience. Naturally there are Chevy vehicles available for your viewing pleasure on the way out to the gift shop. Yes, some may blanch at the blatant Chevy/GM references, but it's clearly defined on all signage that this is a sponsored ride by an American car company. If you feel this will hurt the feelings of your Toyota minivan parked at home, try something else. Everyone else, step right up and enjoy the ride!

Yelp
So, THIS is the ride everyone runs for (including morons pushing baby strollers with babies in them) when the park opens. Would I run? No. Would I wait an hour for the ride? Probably. Would I wait more than that? No. Is it fun? Yes, it is. You "design" your car (tires, shape, engine, etc.) and then you ride in a car which is (apparently) built per your design and you race against other drivers in their cars. The cars go pretty fast and I imagine that you will go fast no matter how clunky your design. It's an interesting concept and a fun ride.

Yelp
Love this ride. You get to design your own car, then put it through some "tests." The ride even goes outside at one point (from inside to outside), which really surprised me when I rode it this past summer. There's also a single rider line if the regular line is too long. Definitely the best ride at Epcot, and one of my overall WDW favorites, too.

Yelp
In comparison to the Radiator Springs Racers in California Adventure, the concept is great but mediocre in terms of speed. My friends and I were lucky to get a Fastpass for this ride. If not for the Fastpass, we would have waited for 60 minutes. This ride has a single riders line for those looking to shave off some wait time. Before boarding your sweet ride, you're allowed a few minutes to design your own car and make adjustments to sustain certain terrains. Once you link your magic band to start designing your car, a countdown begins. We had no idea we could pick the paint jobs for our car, so we took our sweet time. So be quick on your decisions! While designing the car, I imagined how much fun my boyfriend would have designing his own car and wish he could join us. After creating the car to your liking, you hop into your vehicle after linking your magic band and take it for a spin. The ride begins with a test drive on various terrains and the final test is speeding through a race track. Your car is ranked in comparison to other vehicles created that day. I liked the concept of the ride, but wish it was faster. Upon completing your test drive are several fun activities you can play with the vehicle you created. I would recommend this ride if a Fastpass is available.

Yelp
Epcot has a tiered FastPass system. Guests may reserve slots for 3 different attractions, but only one of those can be in Group A. Test Track, along with Frozen Ever After, IllumiNations, and Soarin' are the other rides in Group A. All other rides are in Group B. It's definitely recommended to use your FP for this one since it's one of the most popular ride (beside Frozen), for good reasons. If you want to do this and Soarin', I would recommend doing standby Soarin' since the wait time for Soarin' is generally shorter. OR get a FP for Soarin' and go the single ride for Test Track. So about the ride itself. First get to design a virtual concept vehicle and see how it preforms compared to other vehicles, then you board a 6-passenger "simulation car" and go on an almost one mile track that reaches a speed of 65 mph. The last time we went, I had selected it as a FP (eventhough we've been on it once before), but we missed the time slot so I kept on checking throughout the day and was able to get one for later that evening. It was still fun the second time around. I don't like rides that spins, so I really enjoyed one. It's thrilling without being scary. A fun ride for all ages as long as they meet the height requirement of 40". After the ride, on the way out there are hands on exhibits such as Photo Finish. You get to take a photo in front of different vehicles and change the backdrop and have the photos emailed to you. I found the image quality to be dark and pretty poor. Fun to do but maybe use your own camera just in case you have the same experience (you just won't get the customized backdrops).

Yelp
I can't say enough about Test Track! It is my favorite ride at Disney World for so many reasons! REASON ONE - We had fast passes and it made our wait time almost nothing. REASON TWO - Lucked out on a second fast pass later in the day! REASON THREE - Designing our own cars was so much fun. I thought I'd put together a winner until I looked up at the cars my son and wife had imagined. Hers was an ultra cute speeders while my son went for the monster truck theme. REASON FOUR - You actually get results back at the end of the race for how your car design held up against others. Proud to say our family came in 1, 2 and 3 the two times we rode it! REASON FIVE - While I could have done without the "testing" part of the first half of the ride, that second half where you can put the pedal to the metal raised the chill bumps on my arms! I LOVE SPEED and that was totally awesome! REASON SIX - Even my wife, who normally gets sick on rides like this found it to be fun! After 19 years of marriage I discovered she can handle the speed, it's loops and upside down spins that get her. Since Test Track has none of that, it didn't bother her, which thrilled me to no end. She even rode it a second time with me! REASON SEVEN - The fun games for the kids at the end of the ride. REASON EIGHT - You can take a picture with your imaginary vehicle at the end either by yourself or with your family! REASON NINE - The amazing real life Chevy vehicles on display. What awesome marketing! We've actually been considering a Chevy and I was happy to have some time to view them without being hounded by a salesperson. Brilliant idea Chevy! REASON TEN - There is NOTHING else like this in all of Disney World! BONUS REASON - This was a trip with my 15 year old sons orchestra class. I knew he would likely want to spend time with his high school friends and not want his kid brother tagging along everywhere. So we gave him that freedom. In turn, we brought my 12 year old sons best friend with us so that he would have someone his age to share in the experience of Disney. This also got me off the hook from standing in line for a bunch of rides I wouldn't like anyway :-) His best friend is actually terrified of coasters, but was convinced to get on test track. He was so glued to that seat that I thought it might require surgery to remove him from it! His face on the pics was priceless! FINAL THOUGHTS I LOVED THIS EXPERIENCE!!!! I loved it for the thrill seeker in me, the kid in me, the father and husband in me, and the guy who just loves cars in me! I wanna hug Disney (and Chevy) for creating this awesome experience! PS - Can I buy a pass to just ride Test Track, Soarin', Tower of Terror, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Everest all day? Just a pass for just those rides that allows me to park hop all day! I don't need anything else! Pretty please? 2017/81

Yelp
Fastest ride at EPCOT This is located on the northeast side of the lake and southeast of Spaceship Earth (the giant sphere). It is a very popular ride and so will have a long wait on most park visits. If you want to ride this, I would suggest getting a lightning Lane pass, going early, or doing a single rider. I have been successful with the single rider option on the last 3 visits. I have practically walked onto the ride since they use the single riders to fill the cars. If you wait in line, you will have a lot better option to build your car and see all the details in the building. You are placed in cars that have 2 rows of 3 seats each. Your car is taken through a series of tests and then out onto the outside of the building where your vehicle is sped up around the building. You exit and can view your picture and the performance of your vehicle design on a large screen. There are real vehicles that you can look at in a showroom atmosphere prior to leaving the building. I like this ride and recommend it for anybody at EPCOT wanting a fast thrill ride. Enjoy.

Yelp
A fun filled Disney ride that takes you through a mock up of a car test track that is set up to see how a car performs under different environments. The line is usually a bit of a wait since it's one of a few rides in Epcot. It usually moves pretty quickly though. You'll go through different "tests" on the cars suspension, speed, brake capability, etc. The bumpy road and of course, the speed test are personal faves. It has been around for awhile but they've made some changes here and there to keep it pretty relevant. Cars seat 4, so if your party is bigger than that, I suggest figuring out seating groups prior to hitting the front of the line. Overall: A- A fun ride that keeps things interesting at Epcot.

Yelp
My favorite ride at WDW. It is actually the fastest ride too. It's not too jerky and has a smooth feel to the ride. There is s design your own car during the line part do its a fun way to have a contest in the family

Yelp
Test Track is definitely my favorite ride in Epcot!! I always have to make at least one stop here every time I'm in this park. The lines are always crazy, but at least they have a single rider option. Test Track is a part of the Future World, where you can design your own car and see how well it does with a few 'test runs.' you'll hop into an actual vehicle, and 'drive' throughout the course, which can almost feel like a mini roller coaster. Sadly with the single rider line you do not get to create your own car, but it is still fun to just ride. If you do go through the actual line, you'll at least get tons of cool cars to look through and have some time to create your own custom ride. Use Test Track as one of your three Fastpasses for Epcot!

Yelp
Despite being one of only three major flagship rides at Epcot, Test Track is super lame. The line to ride this thing is always crazy long but it's just because people would rather waste their time riding this "thrill" ride instead of being stuck watching some boring Circlevision film about China from 1985. Test Track still feels old, stale and stupid, although it recently underwent an "upgrade." This "upgrade" is laughable. It's still the same old track and ride but with a few "fancier" and more modern effects. I use the term "effects" and "modern" very, very loosely. You basically hop in a car (a cool ride vehicle) while you get to test out all of the amazing ways Chevrolet can make a fantastic car (OnStar is featured prominently in the ride). There's a swerve test, a braking test, and a couple of other way stupid things you have to ride through before you reach the sweet spot: the speed test! This is the most fun part of the ride but it's at the end and is far too short! You speed around the track at high speeds and it really does feel like you are in a race car. Note that the FastPass line is a joke here. There's NOTHING fast about it. Even if the wait time says 20 minutes for FastPass, you need to at least double -- if not triple -- that time. It's never, ever accurate and is always longer (sometimes much longer) than the stated time. Pro tip: check the single rider line for shorter wait times. It's for legit single riders only, but you can split up your party as single riders. Don't abuse my advice, though. Don't be THAT guy. At the exit, representatives from Chevy will be on hand to try to sell you a car. No joke. You have to exit through a car showroom and take care not to express any interest in one of the cars on display (don't open a door or pose for a photo or you will be bombarded by salesmen who take it as an open invitation to pitch their product).

Yelp
Zoom zoom. One of our favorites every year we go. We did the single rider line twice each. Cut out wait time down by about 35 minutes. Hence able to do it twice. The outside speed part is the best. Inside testing part does seem a bit jerky and could be bad if you had a bad back.

Yelp
A lot has changed since my last review, but one thing has remained the same. Test Track is an awesome ride. The new version of Test Track is even more popular than the original. Riders are given a ride card, or use their magic bands to create their own vehicle design on a computer in the waiting area. The designs are then transferred to your ride vehicle and you'll see the test results as the ride goes on. It doesn't really matter what type of vehicle you design, the ride will remain the same. I think it is just a way to kill time and show you that changes in performance affect other critical features when designing automobiles. The ride it self is pretty much the same as it used to be, but it's been made more modern with graphics etc. The vehicles are no longer labeled as Saturn vehicles since that company was phased out. The highlight of this ride is the high speed lap outside. Imagine what it would be like to ride in your very own slot car and you will have an idea what this ride is like. The ride tops out around 65, but you would swear you are going twice that. It is really a blast to ride. The ride vehicles each have two rows of seats and seat three per row. Smaller children should ride in the middle as that is the spot with the least leg room. This ride is really fun. If you like speed, check it out and enjoy the ride. Note: Get a fast pass unless you like waiting an hour or more.

Yelp
By far, this is my favorite attraction in EPCOT! I've been coming to this attraction multiple times a year for more than 8 years now. This ride has been through such an overhaul over time. Prior to the renovation, it looked like an assembly line on a car production line, and just didn't really fit the future world theme at EPCOT. Now, it's a super modern attraction and is so cool. It is a tier one attraction at EPCOT and you can only pick one tier one attraction for fast passes. And this should be on your list. Typically if you don't have a fast pass, average wait times for standby range from 60-120 minutes. If you do have a fast pass, you're in luck, your wait time is only about 10 minutes. You walk into the ride queue, go into a second room, then into the room where you can design your virtual SIM car. I usually push the automatic door and go further into the attraction to speed up your wait time (if you haven't done the ride, design your car though, it's cool to do it for the first time.) After you go through this, then you load in to your car to go through a series of off road car tests, and then accelerate on to the test track where you hit a top speed of 65 miles per hour. This is the fastest ride at all disney parks, even beating the roller coasters. It's a really cool attraction and a must do.

Yelp
What a clever ride ! Design a car and see how it performs on a test track. Had a great time on this ride and kudos to Chevy for a brilliant way to promote it's vehicles. Of course we built the ugliest car with all power and minimal handling. It failed marvelously. We didn't have to wait bc it was a weekday. I would say this ride would be worth a thirty minute wait.

Yelp
Who would have thought riding in a car could be this fun?! This is my favorite ride at Epcot, even after they changed/"updated" it several years ago. They have done a good job of making the line more interactive and entertaining, which is great because the line here can get crazy. Near the end of the line, you have time to design your own car, which you will get to "test" later! You hop aboard a car and then get to experience all of the different road tests that a car must go through before it can be brought into production. The best road test? Taking it out for a joy ride at 60mph around the Test Track building! That feeling is like nothing else I have ever experience before.

Yelp
Nice fast ride. Fun to create a car and the speed wasn't expected at all but it was thrilling for sure. I would ride it again now that I've experienced it once. It was pretty cool outside so that made the ride rougher bcus the wind was cutting our asses up but I enjoyed the ride. The pictures were self explanatory. I am the one ducking and with my hood on. I was freezing. Cool ride and definitely worth the wait.

Yelp
Although Test Track is not my favorite in Epcot, it's up there. And it's my travel buddy's favorite ride in the park! The wait can get really long for this ride quite quickly so you'll definitely want to go the FastPass route if it's available. They go quickly so grab one while you can! The preride video is so boring (maybe it's just me) and I always dread it and can't wait for it to finish up so I can get into the actual line queue! Test Track puts the car through different 'tests', testing the brakes, how it does in different weather, etc. It's all building up to the big moment when you speed outside! It feels great to go 65 mph at an angle outside with no top on and nothing holding you in but your seatbelt! It's a great feeling and makes for a lot of fun as you spin around the track! Test Track is under going some changes shortly so it will be interesting to see how it goes.

Yelp
Clearly sponsored by Chevrolet evidenced by the build your own Chevrolet concept car and showroom at the end of the ride. This level of marketing is distasteful even for a ride at at a Disney theme park. If one can stomach the heavy marketing, the ride itself is unique and immersive. "Your" vehicle is sent through different climates and driving scenarios. Some scenarios such as the winter climate track were not realistic. It would have been nice to have real snow or ice ( not cost effective). The best part of this ride is the acceleration sequence that quickly launched our vehicle from 0 to 60. A good ride, especially for Epcot, but lacking in many ways.

Yelp
Ended up doing this with a fastpass because Frozen crapped out and they credited our Fastpass for that back with one that could be used on anything. This thing is part Chevy propaganda, part awesome ride. All day I heard the loud test track and wondered exactly WTF the ride entailed. You go in and design a high performance car on a kiosk, then get in a dummy car. It will read your car off your magic band and apply those parameters to be shown in the dummy car. Then you go through a little test course with braking, etc (not that fast, but jerky...) (the ride crapped out in the middle of this and we were sitting there for 10 minutes) then you go do a lap around the track outside where you approach 60mph. You then find out how well your car design fared during the tests. Pretty fun and a good way to wrap up our day at Epcot!

Yelp
First time riding since 2012, designing the car was cool but the most memorable parts of the ride were taken away which include the hot/cold rooms and the last second garage opening before the outside portion of the ride.

Yelp
What's there not to love about Test Track. It's always such a fun and exciting ride and it never disappoints. After replacing the beloved World of Motion, Test Track shot out and has been delivering thrills and excitement for almost 20 years. The new edition is really fun as you create your own vehicle and then test it out in the real world on the test course. Lots of fun and the 60 mph speed test outside around the building is a great way to end the fun...

Yelp
"REVERSE Back In Time" - During my last two times when I was a little kid in Epcot, we went on this ride. Both of those times included two test proctors who administered the test on TV screens. The 2nd time, my dad's seatbelt got stuck, and the ride started moving. But then the ride suddenly halted with a robotic voice echoing "Seatbelt Inspection FAILURE", and everyone stared at him while an operator assisted him. Yeah, it's no fun to fail that. Sorry Dad! XD "DRIVE Forward To NOW" - After hearing so much about the renovations, I felt really excited to ride. Due to time constraints, my parents & I decided to split so they can go on Soarin' and I can go on here. As I waited in line, someone asked me if I was a lone rider. When I said "Yes", he said I was wasting time in this line & should go to the other line. Surprised, I politely thanked him and left. ***A SINGLE-RIDER EXPERIENCE - 2 HOUR WAIT REDUCED TO 45 MINUTES*** "Before & During Single Wait Time" - If it hadn't been for that guy who told me about this line, I would have wasted my time. When I entered this line, the staff verified me to make sure I was either single or agreeable to splitting up before riding. Because the line moved faster than the regular one, no one had ample time to design cars with the available touchscreens. However, myself & a few others were able to quickly design a car just to say we done so. After that, we were brought into the boarding area, where we checked in and boarded single seats. Now it's time for the fun... "Capability Test" - Once I boarded and passed the seat belt inspection, the testing began. The first test was "Capability". For this, we were connected to OnStar and had to drive through various weather conditions and environments. This included skidding through rain & snow, avoiding a lightning strike, and passing by a city. Next up... "Efficiency & Responsiveness Tests" - For the "Efficiency" test, we were scanned for "optimum eco-efficiency". A nice mix of lights, lasers, & sounds gave us the feeling that we were being scanned. Then we were brought into a cool wind tunnel in favor of the aero-dynamic test. Lastly, with the assistance of another nice mix of lights, lasers, & sounds, a "hyper-spectrum imaging" took place. During the "Responsiveness" test, we accelerated through various hairpin turns with nice, laser-projected trees. We then entered a tunnel to avoid a collision with an 18-wheeler truck (now presented with lasers). Now for the moment we've all been waiting for... "Ready, Steady, GO! - Pushing That Pedal To The Metal!" - POWER TEST!! OH YEAA!! First you stop for a brief moment, and then you immediately FLOOR right to the outside portion of the ride at MAXIMUM POWER!! You make various turns, followed by a long steep left turn at a HIGH SPEED. If you feel like yelling out "YEAH!!!!" during this favorable portion of the ride, then go for it, like what all of us did. Then the ride was over. "The Ride Has Ended, But The Fun Is NOT Over" - Believe it or not, there's a lot to see and do after this fun ride is over. 1st, you see your car's score (I.D.C.). Then you can create a free car commercial and e-mail it to yourself (LOL). After that, you can drive your own car on a small digital track with unique controls (Cool). Following that, you are brought into a showroom with various Chevrolet models on display for viewing (Nice). "Pose With A Vehicle" - Also in that showroom were 3 vehicles (including the CORVETTE), with unique backgrounds for photo-taking with a computer. For this, people had to scan their cards, and submit their e-mail address to receive the FREE digital photos. Once you're scanned, you are given 3 snaps with a certain amount of time to make a pose for each one. You can even sit inside the car if you like. After a period of time before each snap, the computer takes your photo. This was fun. "Gift Shop & Final Thoughts" - They also have a gift shop that sold die-cast models of Chevrolet vehicles (not for me), t-shirts and more. I spent 20 minutes longer than I had originally planned for this attraction. However, if you're a hardcore fan of Chevrolet and/or seeking ideas for a new vehicle, you may end up spending a lot more time than I did here. Overall, I had a lot of fun here. I got a few flashbacks from when I was younger here, and received some new, positive memories. I recommend this attraction to everyone of all ages. "Heads-Up" - If you're pressed for time, and traveling with older family members who don't mind splitting up, then you may want to consider the "Single-Rider" line so you can get to the ride faster than the regular line. Have fun, everyone!!!!

Yelp
This was sooooooo awesome! But get this attraction out of the way FIRST and do the others after. The line is 50/50 inside/outside so if you don't like the sun/heat do this first early in the day. Still totally worth the wait!
