"At Te.ta's you'll be among a crowd of families and friends, usually locals making a day trip out of the San Juan metropolitan area for some fresh air. Te.ta's is a destination; no one simply stumbles upon it. This is comida criollla, or Puerto Rican homestyle cooking, made with local ingredients and a bevy of options for those with dietary restrictions. The portions are big and designed for a hearty appetite or sharing among friends. The house cocktails are impeccable but you can also ask for a classic. There is a housemade sangria available by the pitcher, too. Make a reservation for the weekend, with a big group or as a date, and go expecting to drink, eat, and relax. Because it's off the beaten path, it will impress anyone with an adventurous spirit." - Alicia Kennedy

Excellent food and service. Must try their cocktails! Menu is changing but I had the Quail and it was amazing. Will return many times. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

So we went to Tetas today for lunch and it was ok. The ambiance at the restaurant is really good, and the staff is uber attentive. But their food, even though it's great quality, is nothing out of the ordinary. For appetizers, we ordered the Mini empandas(they were longaniza today), the cod croquettes, the alcapurias, along with the fried pork and rabbit meatballs. Out of them all the alcapurias were the bomb they were well balanced and the spicy tomatoe sauce was really good. The fried pork was lean and well seasoned and cooked to perfection. As for the empandas, croquettes, and meatballs, they were all well made, yet they were under seasoned and underwhelming in taste. As for main dishes, we ordered the drum with the salmon in capper sauce, the Ravioli stuffed with mozzarella in gorgonzola sauce and fried prosciutto, and the jibara chicken breast. Salmon filet was nice and smoothe, and the capper sauce complemeted the flavor of the fish perfectly, but the yuca drum was very dry even though it was mashed. The Ravioli had great flavor, and the pasta was super fresh, but the prosciutto tasted more like fried bacon than prosciutto. As for the chicken, the plate was well balanced and the chicken was cooked perfectly but was underseasoned as well, on the other hand the mamposteao rice was superb and a joy to eat( it was the best dish of the entire meal). As for the deserts we had, the goat cheese flan, which was fantastic, the tronki flan, which was flat in favor, and the chocolate mouse that was just OK. Overall, I would recommend this place to locals or tourists who are in the area, but I would not go out of my way just to go check it out.

The cocktails were out of this world. The bartenders are skilled at crafting cocktails with local ingredients creating unique drinks that simply allow our local flavors to shine. Appetizers were delicious, home made and the main dishes really placed local ingredients at the forefront. Service was effective, efficient and expeditiously fast. We ended our meals with a house made vermouth. OMG!

I visited the restaurant today and overall had a pleasant experience. The highlight of the meal for me were the cocktails. The bartenders were skilled, the drinks were well-crafted and delicious. Moving onto the appetizers, they were also enjoyable. The flavors were well-balanced, and the portions were enough to share with my dining companions. I particularly enjoyed the Mini empanadas of the day. We tried them both, octopus and longanizas. However, when it came to the main courses, I have to admit I was slightly disappointed. While they were certainly edible, they were nothing exceptional. The dishes were lacking in flavor, presentation was okay, and the quality was just average. Overall, while the cocktails and appetizers were definitely a highlight of the meal, the main courses fell short of my expectations. Nevertheless, the service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant.

This place truly deserves the 5 stars. Located in a breezey mountain spot with mostly outdoor seating. Drinks are delicious, great variety of cocktails. Deciding starters was a problem, definitely coming back with a bigger group just to order everything. They had rabbit, chicken, pork, and everything paired with delectable sauces and veggie beds. This place made to my "I want to be a regular" list.

We went on a Saturday night when it was very busy, so maybe this isn’t the standard experience. We didn’t mind waiting a while to be seated, although it was a bit annoying to stand there and be told constantly it will be just one minute when it will be ten minutes (if we’d known that we probably would have got a drink from the bar are or something) but once we were seated the service was so bad. Someone gave us waters but no menu, and then we waited a long time , then a different person introduced themselves as our server and asked to take our order. We didn’t have a menu so we couldn’t order… she ended up pulling up a QR code on her phone and saying she would come back. After a long time of her not coming back we asked one of the other girls to take our order. This was maybe a mistake as she didn’t speak any English, I can speak some Spanish but the menu we were given originally was in English. I pointed at the food I wanted to order and she read it from the menu and wrote it down, but I guess she didn’t understand because a plate of food then arrived that was incorrect for me. This was sent back and we assumed the new one would arrive, but my husbands pasta arrived and mine didn’t… he eventually ate his, then we waited another 15 minutes after that and still nothing. In this time also no one came to ask us how his was, clean his plate, or see if we wanted more drinks… eventually we got up, went to the bar and asked to just pay and leave unless my food was coming in the next five minutes (it wasn’t). If someone takes an order wrong, and you realise that, I would expect the replacement to be bumped to the front of the queue and be served at the same time as the rest of the group.. who wants to watch their partner eat separately? So we left over an hour after we had arrived, without one meal… the meal that did arrive was also lukewarm at best, bearing in mind this was Puerto Rico and not a cold night! Having said that, the place was packed so clearly they’re doing something right!!

This is a neighborhood restaurant with simple seating but elegant dining. It has eclectic outdoor seating incorporating guests into nature’s beautiful flora. The craft cocktails and wine list are exceptional! The appetizers and main courses are first rate. The staff service is excellent. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful place with lots of greenery and relaxed atmosphere. Came here for lunch and we were impressed with quantity and quality of both the food and the service. The mixed drinks were absolutely delicious and refreshing. It’s a bit of a drive in but worth it.
