The rooms are great, very comfortable and clean. It has a nice pool but when I was there it was dirty due to a party that happened the day before (and it wasn't cleaned despite we asked). It's located a few miles from the border.

Pretty disappointed overall. Was hoping that the hostel would be an interesting and reliable place to stay whilst visiting the falls, but unfortunately was neither. ||The hostel itself is in need of some love and care. There are holes in the ceiling such as the one that was outside our door that leaked a lot of water onto the floor after some rain overnight. I've attached a photo of of this and one just in the main lobby area. The room was dirty and features were poorly maintained. A lot of out of date notice boards added to the out-of-date feel. The toilets in the main lobby were in a very poor condition. ||Whilst staff were friendly and willing to help, the hostel felt too laid back for me; it felt like I was staying in the owners home, and staff's gap year job more than I was staying in a place I had paid for. The first day that we were here, the owners hosted a children's birthday party using the main outdoor area of the hostel; and whilst this was nice, it did make one feel a little bit like a stranger. Staff would spend a lot of time sat around on their phones and at the tables outside talking, which would normally be ok, but for example our room was never cleaned. ||Whilst I understand that we were here during low season, it really felt like the bar and standards were low during our time here. ||To their credit, they did make a great caiparinha at the bar! The location is decent; about a 10 min walk to the centre of town, and a short walk to a bus stop that goes to the falls. The wifi was also okay.

This hostel was a disappointment. We paid 55$ (275R$) per night for a private room and were shocked about the condition of the hostel & room. It certainly needs some renovation, cleaning … or more authentic website pics. What we didn’t like: - the private room & bathroom were both very dirty and overall in a very bad condition. Everything in the room looked run down. The bathroom had pubic hair around the toilet and the floors were filthy (which was not only unpleasant but a problem because you have no other storage options than the floor - The bathroom smelled like urine already before we even used anything, not bc of the plumping, it was just not cleaned probably. My towel felt on the bathroom floor after the first shower and it was completely stained and covered with hair after that - the room was TINY, just a little bigger than the bed, which by itself wouldn’t have been a big issue - but the pictures are very misleading - The pool was cloudy and a little green during our 4 days stay. We didn’t use it (this was also one of the reasons why we chose this hostel) - One staff member, who checked us in (curly hair - 01.01/20:00) was very unfriendly. He seemed to be annoyed with everything and everyone. Because of him we felt unwelcome during our stay and didn’t want to ask anything while he was working. (Pretty much one of the reasons to pick a hostel not an Airbnb) he just didn’t care. - Paying this amount per night and due to their website and Lonely Planet we definitely expected something special but only got the bare minimum What we liked: - location: bus one block away, nice food places around the corner, close to Argentina border - We specially appreciated the friendly staff members: Vici, Lina and the to guys with colored hair. - The caipirinha was tasty Overall: the pictures really don’t match the conditions we found today (01/2024). Maybe they were taken when they opened, but what you see is not what you get

Beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. Great common areas. Is very close to a bus stop that can take you to the falls and across the border to Argentina, but wish it was a little closer to the city center area

Very fun atmosphere, clean rooms and bathroom, clean white sheets and cozy blankets. The stuff are always happy to help and the location is just near a bus stop from which you can take a bus to the waterfalls. - we didn’t have hot water in the shower but it was okay because it was really hot outside -

This place is disgusting. The people at the reception are rude, they treat their guests badly, there are times when there is not even someone attending. The refrigerators are dirty, there is even rotten food inside. The breakfast had hair inside. The sheets are stained and dirty. They treat guests and volunteers who work there in exchange for lodging! There are much better hotels nearby.

Strange place. I arrived and was greeted by a young, short, curly haired guy who just stared at me as if I entered uninvited. He was rude, weird and useless. The other staff were good. But the place needs work. It's a tired place and run down. No vibe. Suggest finding somewhere else.

Great hostel! Super social, amazing outdoor space. Bruna on reception was super helpful with booking tours. The bar staff are so lovely. Rooms are really clean and pretty comfy. Fantastic spot for getting to either side of the falls. ||Pool is a bit murky though and bathroom could use a little love, a few locks were not working but very cool place!
