Tex Wasabi's

It had been over 13 years since we moved away from Santa Rosa and since we ate at Tex Wasabi's. Last time we went, you still saw Guy Fieri talking to everyone and ensuring everything was perfect! His presence was still there even over the years a It was as delicious af I remember! Our server had the best customer service ever! She was attentive and understanding with my 2 daughters. Also I met a fabulous Gal in the bathroom and were chit chatted in there for a bit! Sushi was fresh, innovative and they were a generous amount, the appetizers were delicious, hot and fresh. The dessert OMG the Breath Mint pie is freaking the best! On Keto and that was worth my Cheat!

Hmmm ... Not impressed with the quality of food ... though the service was friendly and decent. Interior is dark, even during the day. Food wise ... I had a Po-Boy sandwich, Fish Tacos and an Emily's Sushi Roll. The Po-Boy was not even close to the "real" New Orleans style sandwich. The sushi roll was ... different. The tacos were slider size, not even medium size tortillas. All were edible ... but all were lacking in taste and originality. My thinking was that since it was formerly and partly owned by Chef Guy Fieri (from the Diner's, Drive In's and Dives fame) that it might be a good place to eat. Wrong. Just not for my tastes. Price and value ... ehh, not worth it to me.

This is just another place that Google asked to do a review on so we did me and my wife went out on a Wednesday and decided to go to this place it was nice it was so beautiful inside I love the lighting the decorations and it had a Upstairs and Downstairs I just love how clean the windows were so we were able to see out and you even can sit outside the drinks were great we had sake we had a cold sake and a hot sake but I love the hot sake way better they had the most amazing calamari oh my God the food was amazing I just love sushi I love the fact that I had other food choices as well it was clean the waiter was very attentive I love that when a waiter keeps an eye on his table to making sure that everybody's happy he constantly clear the tables knowing that they're small tables so he made sure that it stayed enough room for everybody at all times it's a great family place to bring your children your grandparents or mom your dad sisters brothers anybody honestly I recommend this place 109 9%

This restaurant has a trendy atmosphere, with sleek furniture and fancy lighting. The food fits the atmosphere, bright with colors and flavorful. I highly recommend this location for lunch, dinner or drinks!

Its was ok . My husband order the lunch special thinking it include a *hawaiian roll* as sushi roll.... but it was a mini hawaiian roll bread lol the should expecified this ppl. Also the 3 ribs were more bone than nothing . Every thing else its ok not wow

Combinations of classic diner food with the American version of (primarily) Japanese cuisine make for festive bar food with an atmosphere to match. The service is always friendly and the staff is always engaging and knowledgeable about the menu.

An interesting combo of BBQ and sushi which at first doesn't seem like it would be a good one. Somehow they pull it off though, their rolls are delicious. I was skeptical of the jackass roll but it ended up being my favorite. My only qualm was that when you ordered one of the drink bowls the straws were not bendy. That aside this is a must visit if you're in the area.

This place had a great atmosphere. Wonderful waitress and fabulous food! Check ut out. It's a must try!

Clean, open seating area. Sushi bar and regular bar. Some tvs on one side and indoor/outdoor seating on the other side. I've been here a few times and the food is consistently good. A friend and I and her daughter visited yesterday and enjoyed some yummy rolls and great conversation. There was an issue with my card and the server just took care of the remaining dollars and said not to worry about it as we have been here a few times and he recognized us. Service was top tier and that was before the issue with my card. Please go give these guys a try if you haven't!

Came to visit on a Wednesday night. I wanted to try a new sushi spot. The server who helped us overly attentive. She was great and even apologetic for making us wait for our check (it really wasn't event that long.) The restaurant itself seemed a little dingy but clean none-the-less. Nothing fancy but did not really feel cozy. The food was ok but definitely not mouth watering. The order of vegetable tempura came with a sauce that seemed more like soy sauce than tempura sauce. The tempura was ok. It didn't have a very light and airy crunch. Chirashi bowl was not memorable. I seemed like the fish wasn't that cold and some of the selection seemed questionable. The babymai could have used a crunch. The macadamia nut was kind of questionable in the sushi. The overall experience wasn't bad but probably wouldn't go back.

Food , Service and Ambiance 5 Stars - I wish I can give more than 5 Stars Very generous in food quantity . We ordered the bento box that included sahshimi and Mackerel ,my husband had spicy tuna and spicy pork- super tasty . I am impressed with the sashimi - so fresh and so good , Same with The Grilled Mackerel ! Love this place and Highly recommend

Excellent lunch! Wasn't sure what i walked into with a sushi restaurant in the middle of Santa Rosa but i can confidently say, their fish quality is superb! I almost never order sashimi or nigiri from unknown restaurants so i took the safe route. Ordered a bento box with one item salmon teriyaki and a Hamachi Kama to test their fish quality. If they can serve a high quality hamachi kama cooked, then I'll give them my undivided trust in ordering sashimi. After finishing my meal today, I kind of regret not ordering sashimi. Oh well, let my mistake be your fortune. Give this place a try because they serve some quality fish! And their service is amazing.

5 Stars. Excellent service and great experience overall. Easy to navigate the menu (they have everything pictured!) and lots of seating inside - but doesn't seem crowded. Fun for a night out!

Good reliable sushi place. Not stellar, but really good. Very, very generous servings. Has become our go-to place currently. Kinda spare on ambiance; a once-hip place kinda pared down. Robot server is amusing; human service very good. Can have fun view of street traffic from front windows.

Came here on a Monday night, wasn't super crowded and parking was free right behind the restaurant. The quality of fish wasn't bad! It was pretty decent but the pricing was a bit high. I think because it's located in the heart of downtown. They have those robot machines that deliver your food which was pretty cool!

Service was nice and the food is pretty good too. I love the vibe of the place it's nice, specially when you go with a lot of friends or as a date.

1ST timer here. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and uber delicious food. Date nights are a must. My partner in crimes suggestion Portions are satisfying, and they have a robot that serves you food.

The food and service were excellent!! We ordered bento (2 items: Salmon Sashimi and nigiri) and rainbow roll. Portions were good size, and fish were fresh. Will recommend to come here again when in town.

I've been here a couple times now. The fish is great!! I love their nigiri. Shout out to Michael for the great service and their Chef/Owner is quite generous. I love this spot!

I ordered 1 Unagi Roll 1 Shrimp Tempura (HR) 1 Asahi (Small) Total: $26.50+tax$2.58 Charged Amount: $56.52 Wow! I mean, I am sad. I wanted to eat and have a good evening.

Terrible service and even worse food. Unfriendly staff and honestly the worst sushi I've had in a long time. Came in and didn't even get greeted for almost 10 minutes when there were only two other tables in the entire restaurant with people eating. I actually had to ask if we had a waiter. No apology, no intro, just cold and rude. The waitstaff didn't check on us a single time during our meal. I got a roll with soft shell crab that seemed like it had been sitting all day. Was terrible. I would NEVER spend a dime here ever again. I genuinely can't believe this place has good reviews.

6/24/23 Sushi Rosa 515 4th St Santa Rosa, CA 95401 Wifey wanted to go for a road trip to Santa Rosa and we stumbled upon this place downtown. There was a parking lot behind with pay parking via kiosks which take plastic or coins, no bills. It's a clean, modern two level setup with a dark sports bar ambiance. Service was very good and friendly, we both ordered bento boxes. She had the Chicken Katsu and Cali Roll and I had the Saba Shioyaki and Tempura. We were promptly brought Miso soup by our waitress which was good. Our order was then served with a delivery robot, first time for me, although our waitress transferred the food to the table. My Saba was good but on the drier side and my Tempura was abundant with two shrimp and various large slices of vegetables. The breading was crispy and hot. Wifey liked the Katsu but didn't care for the faux crab mix in her roll. Quantities were ample and a good value. Flavors were very good. Definite repeat when in the area.

Wanted to try Sushi Rosa restaurant in Santa Rosa. Went with my grant daughter for a late lunch. Service was pretty good, even had a AI server. Order Sushi and Sashimi, Delicious. WOULD Definitely GO there Again. If Love Sushi, You Gotta try this restaurant.

Ton Katsu in the bento box is delicious, the outside is thin and crispy! The sushi role are pretty and made fresh in front of me. The sauce and how they put the poke bowl together makes it special!

Another "Japanese" restaurant that serves food that vaguely resembles Japanese food. The rice in my roll was mushy and the flavors were muddy. They offer two ramen choices, both listed as being Korean ramen. The broth was thin, nothing resembling a rich shoyu or tonkotsu broth. Fairly expensive, about $40 out the door. For one person. Tables are served by a small robot which rolls up to the table and instructs the diners to take their food. Not dreadful but no particular reason to return, unless you are so entertained by a robot server that you must go back.

Fabulous experience here!! It was a slow Friday night so they allowed us to seat ourselves, it took a few minutes longer than ideal to be greeted by our server but as soon as she arrived I couldn't have been happier! Eliza was our server, and as a sever myself I can confidently say she provided some of the best service I've ever had. She has a permanent smile and fabulous menu knowledge. I couldn't decide on a roll but I told her I like something spicy and she picked the perfect roll for me, I wish I remembered the name but it was the very last roll in the last page. My partner was a huge fan of his roll as well which was one of her top recommendations, a very generous helping of fish. The miso and is definitely my top 2 I've ever had also, definitely recommend especially because they use a nice firm tofu. The most important thing I'd like to emphasize in my review is ELIZA's GREAT SERVICE!! I don't live in the area but I will be sure to stop here and ask for her any time I am here because having her as a server legitimately made my night better and I could not help but smile every time she came to us and Sushi Rosa is lucky to have her. Ask for her if you come in, you will only enjoy your night more if she is a part of it

Good food with nothing human & robotic servers. Once you get used to it it's ok. I've been there twice & enjoyed everything very much.

My son went here with friends for dinner the other night. While he was there I placed an online order for him to bring home to me. That all worked out perfectly. I was impressed with the quality of the fish, as well as the flavor. Tobiko with quail egg, mackerel, hamachi, all of it was great! The wakame was also really good. The negi handroll was a little different than expected. Slices of hamachi instead of chopped, but it too was pretty good! Check 'em out!

Came here today- the server was extremely polite and friendly. However, we ordered 3 special rolls and one normal roll- all of them were DRENCHED in the mayo sauce - I forget what it's called. It wasn't supposed to be on the rolls and wasn't in the photos on the menu. I legitimately could not taste the rolls and enjoy the flavors because of the absurd amount of sauce on it. I will say our server was really apologetic and we got free fried oreos at the end but the sauce really ruined the rolls.......

Great food. Parking can be tough Awesome service. Great food for non sushi eaters (me) Wife really liked her sushi. Beautiful place for anniversary.

Sushi Rosa is a tasty addition to downtown Santa Rosa! They are also open Christmas which was great! The menu is awesome and has photos for every item which I found helpful for cuisine people may not be familiar with. The staff was also really friendly and attentive. I particularly appreciated the robot that serves the food to your table (though it could probably be a bit friendlier jk jk). The food is pretty good too which is of course the most important aspect of any restaurant. We had tempura veggies, a few rolls, some nigiri and of course a couple servings of hot sake! All in all I'd recommend this dedicated sushi spot as it's a definite upgrade from the previous tenant (another failed fieri restaurant) that had sub-par sushi on their menu.

The food was delicious, very fresh, looked beautiful. The robot is a neat tool for delivering sushi. That's pretty cool. There was one server literally sprinting upstairs and downstairs to try to help everybody. On one hand, we didn't get the correct amount of silverware for the people at our table and didn't see our server for 15 minutes at a time. On the other hand, the poor lady was trying to run the whole ship herself. So based off of one person serving an entire two-level restaurant, it would be a seven Stars out of five. As far as my actual experience receiving service not so great. If I were to do this again I would just get my food to go. Also, I have no idea who picked the music or the volume for the music but both were a bad choice. It was the strangest loudest music. We had to yell to hear each other over the table. Also heads up the miso comes in like a double wall stainless steel bowl maybe so it feels safe to eat touching from the outside but it's way hotter on the inside.

First of all, we were greeted right as we walked in. Our server was full of information in helping us decide what we wanted. She highly recommended the dragon ball app since I am not a huge fish person but wanted to try sushi. It did not disappoint! Truly a great beginner to start with. My son gobbled down his spider roll and my husband loves his bento box. The dining area was clean and welcoming. They do have sports playing in the bar area as well We will be back.

Clean and simple. I sat at the bar since it is the easiest place to camp for one going solo. Didn't seem busy at the time in the evening. Service helped with any questions that I had, water refills were frequent as well as the check ins. I had ordered a kanpyo roll since I'd never had gourd before, and a king salmon roll without the crab. Both were pretty good, I liked the marinade for the kanpyo roll. It had a light sweetness which worked well. The king salmon was quite nice though a bit pricey. The smoke on the salmon really came through in the bite. Might stop in again. There were a number of different vegetarian options to try looking at the menu.

Went back again and tried more stuff. So tasty and our daughter loves having food delivered by a robot. Daughter had the strawberry lemonade again. She loves it. We shared the veggie roll and asked for mango as part of the tuna avocado roll. I had imagined it inside the roll but they put it on top - next time I will be more specific. Dessert was fried Oreos for $4 - great deal. The service is great, very nice, and the tables are nicely spaced so you don't worry about getting exposed to anyone.

My friend and I came here for dinner on a Friday evening. The restaurant was not very busy, so we were seated promptly. Food: I had the miso soup, the side salad, an avocado roll, and the vege dragon roll. The miso soup and the side salad were pretty standard but delicious. The avocado roll was rolled so perfectly and tasted as expected. The vege dragon roll is a special roll to Sushi Rosa, and it was delicious. They had a pretty good variety of vegetarian roll which was appreciated! My friend ordered the chicken katsu and enjoyed his meal. At the end, we got some fried Oreos that were delicious, though maybe they had a lot of whipped cream on top. Service: Service was friendly and attentive. As it wasn't too busy, our food came pretty quickly to our table. The server brought my rolls to the table. Their server robot brought the chicken katsu, and that was cute to see. TL;DR - good sushi place with friendly service and extensive vegetarian rolls menu!

My bf and I were in town visiting and ordered take out to take to a friend's. The last time I was here, long long long ago before I loved it was Tex wasabi's and it closed. The sushi was ok, for the most part it was fresh, but the crab mixture was in almost everything we ordered and it was a bit much. To me it felt like they didn't know how to keep the the fish on top so they threw the crab mixture on and stick the fish to it. I do enjoy the crab, but it was too much, given that it is also imitation crab, it draws the flavor away. I could be bias also as I now live in Silicon Valley and we are spoiled with multiple varieties of food, but this take of sushi was not for me. With that said, I still think it's worth a try, it was way better than Tex.

I like this place, they have good sushi and the service is great. The waitress was very nice and funny, it's my favorite local sushi place now.

I celebrated my birthday here and I couldn't have picked a better spot for dinner! We were seated quickly, there's indoor, outdoor, or bar seating. We sat outside which was fun to people watch on a Saturday night. They have a long menu but our waitress was able to recommend some rolls for us based on what we usually like. We ordered off her recommendations and they did not disappoint! We got one of the chef's specials which was the highlight of dinner. The rolls are hefty so despite the price tag, we ended up spending less than we usually do on sushi because we got full.

Fantastic presentation and skill. Look how fresh the rolls and equally sized the sushi pieces are. The salad was similarly fresh, and cucumber slices were thinly sliced. They have a robot server. I only wished I got to sit upstairs because the tables and decor looked nicer.

I have to say, as of right now, this place is my go to for sushi. They have a whole page of vegetarian sushi rolls! We've tried a number of them and our favorite is the Fried Vege Roll and the Yamyam roll, the only one so far we didn't really care for was the Pickles Roll (and we like pickled things?!). Plenty of seating, no wait, good service - oh, did I mention robots bring the food out! The kiddo (and let's be honest, us, adults) thought this was pretty cool! We've been here a number of times and will continue to keep coming!

We ordered from Sushi Rosa for delivery and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. The fish tasted fresh and was glad that they don't drown their rolls in too much sauce. Their poke rrito was the perfect ratio of rice to filling and the tako yaki didn't have octopus that's rubbery or overly chewy. I meant to order inari, but ordered the inari roll by accident and was not too happy about how little of the roll was actually the marinated tofu skin. I wasn't thrilled with that, but now I know to make sure that I look for the classic inari skin stuffed with rice instead. Overall a great dining experience despite being delivery. We have to try dining in next time!

Sunday was the first time eating at Sushi Rosa downtown. It is a very nice place to go it was roomy it was for a Sunday busy saw the robot that gives you your food I sat at the Sushi Bar it sat maybe 7 there was a family to the left and a gentleman to my right. I ordered my sushi and had the Wakame and cucumber salad the flavor was very pleasant and very fresh. The Sushi on the other hand was the best I ever had in awhile fresh I had the usual wasabi and ginger plus they gave me fresh wasabi that was great never had it before. The price if you want good sushi it was worth every bit of what I spent.

I really enjoy coming here ! The customer service is always amazing. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Definitely give it a try :) I usually get a bento box or the baked salmon roll .

This place clearly doesn't need another 5-star review but I'm writing one anyway! FANTASTIC selection. I am vegan but my husband is not so this place seemed like a good choice--and we were right. The vegan options were plentiful and all of them were delicious. Expect bigger quantities than most other sushi establishments and order accordingly! We ordered too much but, well, we ended up eating it all because it was so good!

It's a travesty that anyone would give this place less than 5 stars. Food and service excellent!

Friendly, informative staff that communicates clearly when genuine smiles and care for your visit. Sushi arrived at table fresh and cool. Very tasty with an elegant presentation.

The food was good, the place was pretty however I have never ever felt anymore discriminated in my entire life until yesterday. Me and my family came here to eat. The place was pretty empty as we were sat down and we got our drinks, afterwards two other parties were sat beside us. The waitress wasn't attentive to us, and helped the parties next to us who keep in mind got here after. She was super attentive to them and kept asking them if they needed anything else. We DID NOT get asked what we wanted to order until we had to flag her down. Which by then the other parties already received their food! Even one of the people from the other party noticed they weren't attentive towards us. They made us feel like we weren't there, the other parties had lighter skin complexes so maybe they assumed we wouldn't tip or anything due to being POC. Do NOT come here if you want to be treated awfully by the waitress.

Excited to see another sushi spot open up in this location! After the Wednesday Night Market my friend and I decided to check this place out. The menu is huge and includes pictures for every item which I love with sushi restaurants. We had eaten some at the market so we went with a baked salmon roll to share. The salmon was delicious, some of the best I've ever had! This roll was huge and messy, however, so definitely don't order it on a first date, haha! This place really has the vibes and potential for a fun night out, yet only serves beer and wine. I hope they are planning on that liquor license soon, because I'd love to enjoy a cocktail in the upstairs area.

The food was very good. I had the chirashi. They had a good mix of fish. There was not a lot of filler like seaweed salad. Service was good. Our server got a little busy. They also had a robot server which I am not a fan of because it replaces real people. The ambiance was quiet. The restaurant is set up very trendy. It doesn't lend to bigger groups. All of the tables are for 4 people only. We had a group of 5 and they didn't have a way to add so that we could be more spaced out so we were quite cramped. Overall we enjoyed it.

We came here once before when visiting Santa Rosa for a music festival. Once again a delightful meal! The bento box was plentiful and very good! The spicy roll was super fresh and the perfect spicyness for my taste. Also had the salmon mango salad, a work of art and very fresh. Good service to boot. Will probably be back again before we leave.

Highly recommended sushi place with an outstanding service. I've already been back 3x as my favorite sushi place to go now regardless of more than an hour drive.

Stopped here before a High School football game with very little time to have more than a snack. My compatriot promised me the food was divine and quick to receive, she was not lying. The presentation was divine, the order was not easy to prepare and was perfect. It's been a long time since I had sushi this good, in a place this pretty with such attentive staff. I highly recommend this place plus we made kickoff

This place is awesome, great vibe, decor and service by a robot what more can you ask for. We were seated right away and food came out fairly quickly, not super busy on a week night, so a plus for my girlfriend and I. The food is very good, I deducted a star because they never brought our recommended lemonades. we had to remind them once our food came.
