Liked but not loved. Salmon was a bit briney on the thin side but mellowed out on the thicker side. Mixed vegetables was broccoli and carrots...kind of pithy. ;) Caesar salad was good but a bit overdressed and only 3 croutons. Coworker got chicken with two sides of chili which tasted good but had ill affects later.

Quick and Painless I was in the Clarksville/Louisville area and wanted a quick and simple meal. I have been to many Texas Roadhouse locations throughout the US and pretty much knew what I wanted and what I was going to get. When I arrived it was busy but the hostess sat me almost right away which is a perk for the solo diner. I looked at the menu bit already knew what I wanted and ordered a cup of chowder and a sirloin steak with broccoli. I was going to be visiting restaurants in Louisville for the next few days and just needed a quick and simple meal. The chowder came quickly and was eaten in about two minutes. My steal came out cooked just the way I liked it. The server explained how I could pay on the tablet and I was able to eat and leave fairly quickly and was off to my next adventure in no time. This is a busy restaurant so be prepared to wait. Another painless dining experience at another Texas Roadhouse.

Google
A busy location but they were able to seat us quickly. Normally we ordered big, in order to have leftovers. On our trips though we don't have the ability to keep them fresh but they have a great variety of sizes and selections. Thus was the fist location I had the 6 ounce steak and BBQ chicken. An absolute perfect size. The serving staff was also terrific and very attentive. The overall ambiance and format of the location is also very comfortable and convenient.

First time eating at this location, and I took my wife here for lunch. Our waitress Brianna was amazing and on top of her game. The hostess was friendly upon entering and very genuine as well. You can tell management wants to ensure a great experience at this location, job well done. To the chefs who prepared our food, hats off to you as well. My steak was cooked to perfection, as was my wife's. I will definitely be back again.

Google
Tonights dinner was tasty. I ordered the Porterhouse cooked medium rare. When my steak arrived, it was cooked to medium well but still tasted good. My main issue was the level of fat. I am curious what their policy is on trimming the fat... I had a pile of gristle and fat trimmings left over that was about 15% of the overall steak. My baked potato was perfect, and the buttered corn was delicious. I will return.

Always crowded, but worth the wait. Great ribs, but they also offer great steaks, as well as chicken and seafood offerings. Sides and appetizers are also consistently good, as are offerings from the bar. Meals come with unlimited rolls,, which are always delicious. Service is typically quick and friendly. As a bonus you get the satisfaction of knowing that you're dining at the very first Texas Roadhouse.

Our waitress was very helpful suggesting that my daughter try blackened pork chops instead of just grilled. They were really good and she loved them.Well I had a taste ,it was a little spicy and delicious. We watched the Baltimore Ravens versus Cincinnati Bengals game and had some great conversations about the grandchildren.

Yelp
I arrived at the check-in counter at 4:05. Restaurant was slammed as it always is. I was told we had a 25-30 minute wait. Wife, granddaughter, Addy and I were seated around 4:30. Elizabeth was our very friendly, server with a great smile. She makes you feel like you're welcome and she is happy to be there. We started with beverages and their better than average rolls. You can see the rolls being made just inside the entrance to the right around the corner. They are constantly moving the rolls which are our granddaughter's favorite. Probably the main reason she picks Texas Roadhouse to eat. This was one of her Christmas gifts. The other is Old Navy, after we eat. Next, we ordered fried pickles, at Addy's request. The pickles were outstanding. I would order them again. Wife ordered a Ceasar Salad for entree. I ordered a 6 Oz sirloin with Ceasar Salad and green beans. I got the salad early and it was very good and fresh. My medium steak was perfectly cooked with plenty of pink in the middle. The green beans with bacon were tasty though I like my veggies more al dente. Most people probably like it just as they are served at TR on the softer side. It was fine. I'm just trying to be accurate. Our granddaughter ordered chicken tenders with house fries. It looked goooood and there was enough to take some home when she was finished. Elizabeth checked on us plenty. I requested some peanuts early on which she happily brought and replenished the basket of rolls. They are goooood too. I was very pleased with our experience. Food was great and Elizabeth couldn't have been better. She is surely a great asset to the company. When we left I was told wait time was up to 60 minutes so arriving earlier is better. The owner of TR is one of the BEST. He is a great friend of Veterans and we appreciate him. It is obvious TR is in the Top 3 restaurants in Southern Indiana, if not the #1. I have been there countless times at different hours and there is always a little wait. There is no secret about this GEM in Clarksville. Check it out if you haven't already.

Yelp
Place was packed. 1.5 hour wait, but we managed to get self seatef by the bar. While we were waiting for our table to be cleared I saddled up next the bar and ordered drinks for my wife and I. In an irritated tone the bartender told me to walk around to the other end of the bar to order (even though I was standing right in the middle of the bar area). When I ordered our drinks I asked if I could put the tab on our table and was told to " go sit down" and our waiter would take our drink order. "Go sit down?" Ummm......I don't think so. For the hundred dollar meal we ordered I think the bartender could take my drink order. On a side note our server was fantastic. Won't come back. Avoid.

Yelp
Disappointed beyond words!!!! I ordered a Ribeye steak and i was given a Strip instead. I was offered to have it replaced with what I ordered and that i would promply receive a replacement. Sadly my husband finished his dinner and still i had not received my replacement. After waiting for about 30 minutes, feeling very dissapointed at this point I asked my server Jeff(very good server) to please check on it, then a little after a manager came to check on me, i told her to just pack it up for my husband was done with his dinner at this point, after waiting an additional 15 minutes, she came with my boxed meal and tried to explain to me that it had to do with the thickness of the meat. Me, not happy!! To my knowledge the cut of meat has nothing to do with the thickness!! No real attempt was made to rectify the issue to my satisfaction, leaving me with a very poor dining experience. We have dinner here at least once a month, I will not be returning back!!

Yelp
This Texas Roadhouse is AMAZING! The food is extraordinarily good! I usually get the classic "Ranger Chicken Strips" and they are perfect! Not too soft and not too crunchy, just right! The employees are very kind and are also very patient. The interior is kind of bright but still nice to look around. It's also pretty neat how the resturant is connected to the Green Tree Mall. P.S. their rolls are some of the BEST I have ever tasted!

Yelp
I love the ambience in this location. There are so many that have taken on a more modern vibe but I love all the wood and cozy surroundings. I sat at the bar rail for dinner when the power was out at home and they took excellent care of me. The food was as legendary as I remember from my days of managing a Texas Roadhouse back home. I'm glad that was back before they required their staff to dance. I had the loaded Texas cheese fries as an appetizer, the grilled chicken Caesar salad and one of their signature drinks. Those are all my fav go-to's. All around great experience and I'll definitely be back, even when the power is on.

Yelp
HUGE, probably the busiest and biggest Texas Roadhouse I've ever been too. The best advice you will get for this restaurant is to call in a reservation. This is a very busy establishment, however, this does not stop them from offering top notch service and amazing food. Because it is so busy it is loud, but you are not going to a place like this because you want a calm, quiet romantic evening. We did have a bit of a wait because we did not call ahead, but this was expected. Once we were called that our table was ready things went pretty fast. Not a very long wait for anything, drinks, apps, main course everything was a steady line of delivery. EVERYTHING tasted great, was cooked perfectly, and everything we asked for was brought to us speedily and with such a courteous service. Remember though, this is very busy and a large restaurant, so if you want quiet or privacy, this is not your spot. If you want quick delicious food with 100 or so of your new closest friends, this will be your favorite place to visit.

Yelp
Ambiance? Well it's the same as always a little loud and boisterous but it's folks having fun. The service was fantastic with Ysabelle being attentive and very polite. The steak was tasty came out perfect. Cooked the same all the way through. No rainbow of Clorox. Other than the long wait due to a large amount I'd people this was a great time. I'll be back.

Yelp
Another fabulous meal at our local Clarksville, IN Texas Roadhouse. It's so consistent. Very reliable.

Yelp
Texas Roadhouse has great food. My personal favorite is the chicken critter salad with their homemade ranch dressing. The chicken is tender (and non-greasy), the lettuce is fresh and crisp and the dressing is delicious. The staff are friendly and display great customer service. There is often a bit of a wait, but they maintain their cool with impatient guests. I think it's kinda cool that this is the original location and I hope that never changes. But I do wish they would build another one in the Southern Indiana area, because this location is a bit small and often feels overcrowded. That being said, this location is a well-loved Clarksville fixture.

Yelp
The waitress was polite, friendly and professional when taking our orders. They brought the food out fresh and hot .We had a great time watching the football game ,talking and enjoying ourselves.

Yelp
With a party of 7 in the middle of the day, we expected a bit of a wait, but were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away! Our server Nino was fantastic - very efficient, attentive, and genuinely kind. We had a small toddler in our party and received a clean high chair right away. The food was delicious. 3 of us ordered steak, which was tender, juicy, and cooked just like ordered. Generous portions for all the sides as well, which is a definite plus for people with big serving or leftover appreciation. Overall, a great location whether you're hungry during your mall trip or traveling just to eat. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch with some co-workers while on a business trip. On the outside, it looked a little dated but when we were seated and the server told us this was the FIRST Texas Roadhouse, we understood. Cool exterior vintage vibe but the interior looked like every other Texas Roadhouse I've been to. The service was fantastic, checking in on us every so often. We started with the classic cactus blossom - Perfectly battered! I ordered a raspberry margarita on the rocks but it arrived frozen. No big deal, it was good. Finally, I had a 6oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and a Cesar salad. The sirloin was cooked to a perfect medium, tender and flavorful. Overall pleasant experience and would recommend.

Yelp
I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE! don't get better than this. I can get a 6oz steak 2 sides and blue lemonade for $12 better than any fast food place. and the rolls are the bomb dot com. and the workes are so darn nice.

Yelp
this place has gone very downhill. i ordered take out today from them. ordering 2 salads and a order of appetizer cheese fries got a extra ranch as well. i as shocked to see my food was going to take a hour to make, but being a server myself i know things can get busy. when my grandmother went and picked it up they had forgotten the cheese fries and extra ranch sadly she didn't notice until she got home. i called back and spoke to a manager and he said he would make me a new one and have it done in 5 minutes. so we drove back coming all the way back home again to see this very small container i got which was supposed to be a appetizer order of cheese fries and a ranch was when opened it up it was about 10 fries with not much cheese on it and no ranch at all. my mistake for not checking the second time i suppose. then again i didn't think my order would be messed up twice. i will not be calling back again for a third time so i will just sadly not be going back or spending my money here. which is very disappointing because this has been a family favorite for the last 20 years.

Yelp
You came here for lunch we live in Louisville when Marissa comes to the table that was a french fry in my potatoes I've been doing food for the last 6 years and I've never seen a cross contamination been acceptable anywhere but I mean anywhere she said it's closer above them potatoes and they fall in what else do they fall in since you wonder and I'm very happy with the experience I had today I normally go to St Matthews and now live by the one in shively and I don't live far from the one in the outer loop both of them have horrible service so we don't eat there that's why we drive all the way to St Matthews that's why they get no stars today here at this restaurant
google avatar

Yelp
This is THE Texas Roadhouse to come to. Original is always the best. Been coming here for years, service is always great and friendly. Been to plenty of other Texas Roadhouse restaurants and usually they mess up how they cook my steak, but not this one. Steak is always to perfection here, and ceaser salad and fried pickles are always a must. No matter how long the wait is, this is the place to come to!

Barbara B.

Yelp
The business seating is terrible. Place 3 elderly people at station 5 for over 20 minutes where there is no seat. By the time we were seated everyone was about to fall down. The food isn't good enough to account for lack of respect for those with challenges. This will be our last visit. Cattlemen will be our new steak eatery.

Yelp
Great service, would rerun again. Good food. I sat in the bar. I would sit there again.

Yelp
Once again my rumbly tummy got the better of me and I didn't think to take pictures until most of my dinner was eaten. In all honesty, if I had taken a picture, most people would likely think I had a screw loose for ordering something so visually unappealing. Even though the portobello mushroom chicken looked questionable, the taste was anything but. The chicken was tender and flavorful. And is now a rival to the pork chops as my favorite dish on the menu. The food was good, but the star of the evening was our server, Allysa. She was attentive without being annoying, and if we needed anything, she was quick to take care of us. Not only was she good at her job, she was very friendly and pleasant. Other servers could learn a lot from Allysa. For years, I never wanted to come to Texas Roadhouse because the service was so lacking. Allysa has changed my opinion, and I look forward to returning. Maybe next time I'll snap a few pictures.

Yelp
We love this restaurant and go all of the time. We went this time in the middle of a high traffic time. Our waitress was great (even though she was very, very busy). The good was great as usual. My only complaint was that when a group sat down next to us, they needed 2 highchairs, the staff wouldn't give it to them. They got up and left. Granted, I didn't hear why they wouldn't give it to them, maybe it was warranted, who knows? Other than that- wonderful! I still give them a 5/5!!

Yelp
I order take out from Texas Roadhouse on a Saturday for lunch. Three meals were ordered: salmon, salmon, and catfish. The mixed veggies were completely missing from one of the meals. Another meal had a sweet potatoes that was not completely cooked (slightly crunch on the inside). These errors were not discovered until the meal was unpacked at home. At that time we called the restaurant to report the errors. The phone rang for a while, then was put on hold which ended up getting hung up. The majority of the food tasted okay, but the missing and uncooked sides did ruin the meal.

Pierce O.

Yelp
I am a very loyal customer. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received tonight. We told 3 different people it was my friends birthday and yet we didn't get the happy birthday. Our server came back and told us she couldn't get anyone when yet as we were leaving there was a group of workers standing there and doing nothing. Our server Devyn was not very enthusiastic and seemed to have attitude when we told her our drinks weren't what they were supposed to be. Extremely disappointed, do better.
google avatar

Bob L.

Yelp
Everything on the menu is great! From Steaks to ribs to Country fried chicken. Very organized and quick service. The only drawback I have is the peanut shells everywhere. We order carry out quite often and their prices are very fair. If you compare to the expensive Steakhouses, Texas Roadhouses' food overall, beats all!
google avatar

Jim R.

Yelp
Tried to order curbside pickup for lunch. Young man that answered the phone said they no longer take orders over the phone. Informed us the only way to order without coming in the store is to order online. We tried to order online a month ago. Site not user friendly particularly if you try to customize your meal. They sure are discounting a lot of us seniors. I guess we're done eating there until we feel comfortable dining in again. The way infections are climbing, no telling when that time will come.
google avatar

Ron A.

Yelp
Update: I'm reading reviews about peanuts on the floor. There are no peanuts. This is the original Texas Roadhouse. It's connected to the mall, if you have trouble finding it. Still crowded now that COVID is "over" (May 2022). Plastic barriers between booths are still up. Waitstaff is still friendly. Still noisy. Still mediocre in general.

Barbara C.

Yelp
Husband and I went on a date night and did call a head seating. Our servers name was Cody and he was awesome! Best service at a chain restaurant in a long time . He was attentive but not intrusive. He anticipated our needs. It is so hard to find great customer service these days but Cody was one of the best! Food was just as ordered and was delicious!

Larry M.

Yelp
This restaurant never fails the expectations of Texas Roadhouse. We did takeout and everything was as good as eating there. We have eaten there many times and I can't think of one problem. You might want to get there early because they are busy everyday.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food. Great service. Would highly recommend. The service was fast, quick, and they corrected their mistake on my shrimp without a problem.

Yelp
I assuming people come here need answer what you coming for question . I feel the check in person is racism to me . And I personally can not handle it. After answer two times I am coming here for dining, he took my name and my husband number , I wait outside, and feel very uncomfortable and mad. So I told my husband, do anyone ever ask you this question ? Went to a restaurant, wait in front of check in, been ask what I am coming for ? And asked twice and told me that didn't understand me ? I am coming for dining , I am coming for eat! I left after my husband put his number in wait list , and I don't want wait anymore.

Yelp
Went to the first Texas Road house established lady night in Clarksville, IN. What a great meal!! Ethan Purdy was our server. Took our order, answered all our questions about menu. Meal was excellent, service outstanding!! This place runs like a well oiled machine. Nothing but good things to say about this establishment. Good Job!!

Yelp
Hi. My name has Candice, and I'm a carb-a-holic. My parents tend to want to go to a select few restaurants when I'm in town, they're pretty set in their ways. If I'm honest, I often pick Texas Roadhouse because I'm addicted to their yeast rolls with cinnamon butter! We headed in just before the dinner rush so we had no wait. This location is one of the busiest in whole chain, so having no wait was exciting for us. Pro tip, if you're heading in during busy hours, use the wait-list feature on their website, it's very handy. Our waitress, Cardae, took great care of us, anticipating every need and making sure every request was executed perfectly. She was super personable and made this particular visit stand out in my mind. Fine dining this is not, I mean there are peanuts on the floor, but if for nothing else than the rolls alone, Texas Roadhouse is a staple in our lineup.

Kristen S.

Yelp
We usually have a great experience here. The service seems to be hit or miss but the food is always delicious. The fried pickles are amazing. I always get the sirloin and it's really good! Highly recommend.

Derek R.

Yelp
Food is always on point, but what about the size? Used to have loads of chicken in the crispy chicken salad, the butter for rolls is now 1/2 the size, etc. hard times
google avatar

Donna H.

Yelp
This place was excellent!! Service was very fast and they are busy too. Food was delicious!! Restaurant was clean! I ordered an appetizer for my meal. My daughter chicken and mashed potatoes were delicious too.
google avatar

Yelp
Ok so they have stepped their game up!! I've noticed that the food is way better and the service is stellar compared to what it used to be!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. It is awesome from every standpoint. The food is great, the music is great, the service is great, the atmosphere is great. I love Texas Roadhouse all around. I always get the sirloin and it is always amazing. I would highly recommend. I like the country feel to it with the atmosphere of the music Staffing at Texas Vibe obviously it's called Texas Roadhouse but they really go all out with it and I really enjoy that the peanuts great addition don't want to floor don't mean a bucket do whatever you want with them it's great I love this place steaks are always cooked great service is always excellent I highly recommend going here I would go here every day if I can forward it to be honest so good stuff

Yelp
Usually the food here is great but tonight both my husbands and I baked potatoes were both old. My husband ordered his steak med well and it was more like rare. We did get the extra dressing we asked for on our salads. I never was offered a refill on my soda. Our waitress seemed to be more worried about hanging out at the table behind us. Guess Wednesday night is not the night to go to the road house.

Scott R.

Yelp
Texas Roadhouse rolls have improved. Very very good. I ordered bbq chicken, which comes with two sides. I got the side salad and I asked for macaroni and cheese. The Salad was good. The macaroni and cheese was "Kraft boxed macaroni and cheese".......cmon man. On top of that they upcharged me $.99 Without telling me that up front. I would pay an upcharge gladly, if it was good. Texas Roadhouse has a great reputation but this is not the right way to treat customers.

Connie D.

Yelp
We love Texas Roadhouse. Over the years we have never had a bad meal there. My daughter and myself try to go at least once a week. Thanks for asking!
google avatar

Yelp
Typically has a very long wait. Usually the service is great but my last experience was horrible. The manager was not helpful whatsoever she was more interested in flirting with a married guy a few tables over. My order was taken but the iPad he had glitches and lost our order. I reserved a table for 8. 4 people were running behind a little so they give my table away that I waited 2hours for. I had to wait for the next available. The table we got only seated 6 so they gave two guys over 6 foot high chairs on a regular size table. They didn't even give us rolls till we asked for them. I was fit to be tied. Probably won't be back used to be good but their management sucks!

Yelp
We came in on a Sunday afternoon they were packed as usual. Our server Cory made it sooo worth it! He made great suggestion my favorite being the Sangria Margarita with and extra kick of Patron it was perfection!

Yelp
It's loud it's packed and it's good! I love the Texas Roadhouse and the atmosphere. You need to time your visit accordingly because this place can go on a two hour wait in an instant, people come by the car loads to eat here. With no dress code and smiling servers it's a big draw. You'll have to excuse the peanut shells on the floor, it is what it is...fun. Texas Roadhouse has a full service bar and a great menu. You can start with an appetizer ( I recommend the chili) or stick with the bread that's served as soon as you are sat. I always get the same meal, the 6oz sirloin with a salad and veggies. You'll have many options for steak toppings and if you opt for a loaded baked potato you'll be shocked at how loaded it is! The bread is free and the drinks are free refills. They do offer call ahead seating and to go if you'd rather take it home. This place is one amazing cluster of noise, Birthday shout outs and music so if you are looking for something intimate, this isn't the place. It's workers food served in a great environment. So sit back relax and enjoy your meal!

Yelp
Let me preface this with, I worked for this company for 9 years with 4 of those being a server. I know the expectations and how things are supposed to be done. My family (party of 7) ate here yesterday around 7pm and the service was just blah. *As a party of 7, I understand things will take longer* We were sat got our drinks, bread, regular butter, and an appetizer. This was all great. After we got our appetizer, our server disappeared. 15 minute later, she appears with a refill for one person at the table (we were all low). She took our order and about 10 minutes later, we get salads. Cool. Still no refills. Another 10 minutes later, she comes by and asks "do y'all need refills," please note, ALL 7 of our drinks were empty & had been for awhile. She comes back with 5 refills, leaving one person STILL with an empty drink. Food comes out, it's all correct. Yay. Zero pre bussing. My family members began putting things on the ledge behind the booth (sorry I know that's annoying) but we did allow it to sit on the table for 20+ minutes. 2-minute check back, good job. Finally brought a refill for the left out person. We finish our food and again our server was missing.... I flagged a manager and said "we are ready for our checks, could you get our server, we haven't seen her for awhile." The server reappeared several minutes earlier with our check. I am very aware how busy nights can be and what serving a large table is like. This server needs some more training. She could have asked coworkers/managers for help if she was busy with another table, checked in more often, etc. Please teach her to be more attentive and work more efficiently.

Rhonda C.

Yelp
Delicious it was my birthday and we ordered and picked up it was a very long wait but worth waiting for on Valentines Day. Hope to have this again for my Anniversary coming in May.

Yelp
I never saw the managers response with desire to reach out to us but...Our next trip to Roadhouse was fabulous. I had my usual petite sIrloin, sweet potato, salad. Bill had ribs. Everything was fresh, hot, delicious. Thank you Texas Roadhouse! Glad you're back. Glad we're back!

Yelp
A couple of friends asked me to go with them to Texas road house this past Saturday night and they (like many other in our area) are gaga over Texas road house. I on the other hand have only been once before, so why not give them another try? First off like many other restaurants on a Saturday night they had a wait, a 45 minute wait. After strolling around the mall for a bit we were seated and greated by our server Nick. He was kind and informative, but he seemed overwhelmed at first with the extremely packed restaurant and I don't blame him. It was quite claustrophobic and loud. Our drinks came out very fast and so did their amazing rolls and some fried pickles. The pickles were good, but now I do understand everyone's obsession with the rolls! Everyone at my table went with a steak, but I wasn't very satisfied last time I was there with their steak so I went with the grilled chicken Caesar salad. While there was not much dressing on the salad their chicken was perfectly cooked, much better than most chain restaurants. I asked for a bit more dressing and I can honestly say it was an awesome salad. Way better than expected! While chain restaurants aren't normally my thing I have to give props to Texas road house for how fresh everything came out and how kind our server was and prompt with everything.
