Texas Roadhouse

I dropped in at the Las Cruces Texas Roadhouse with a date. The restaurant was busy as usual, but people of all ages were having a good time. Nice crowd, good people. The service was very professional, pleasant, helpful, and efficient. My date ordered the filet mignon and said it was very good. I ordered the bone in ribeye with a side salad and baked potato. The meal was accompanied with dinner rolls. We also ordered the alligator bites as an appetizer. The alligator bites were good, but I've had better. Rate them a "B." The dinner rolls were warm and fresh...right out of the oven. They were also good, but I've had better. Rate them a "B." The side garden salad contained a mixture of fresh, crisp vegetables with a honey mustard dressing. It also was good but nothing too special. For a side salad it was fine. Rate it a "B." The baked potato was very good with a salty and crispy skin. It was not one of those baked potatoes cooked in foil like a number of other places do it (e.g., Cattle Baron.) Rate the potato a "B+." The Star of the show was the big Bone in Ribeye. It was cooked perfectly medium rare. It was tender, flavorful, and juicy with not too much fat. This was an excellent steak for the money. Rate it an "A ." Sure, you can get a slightly better one at places around the country for $80 to $130, but these Roadhouse steaks are great steaks for the masses. For the overall dining experience tonight...rate it Five Stars. Sorry Outback but the Roadhouse has you beat. Not even close.

This is my wife's favorite place to eat. Unfortunately, this is the second time we've been there in the last 6 months and left before we ordered food. It was so hot in there we had to leave. There was no air circulation and it seemed like it was 85 degrees.

Been here both times I've visited from out of state and the food was consistent and good. Everything is made from scratch, even their sauces. The fresh baked bread is a must! Their check-in system is very efficient and service is always fast and friendly. Every single person at the host stand said "bye" when we left. You also get peanuts while waiting. Inside is very country. I'm not a fan of the raw meat case in the front or the taxidermy animals that stare at you while you eat but I get the vibes they are going for. It's also very loud and a celebratory, which I don't mind. They have great vegetarian option. I recommend the following: -house salad -Mac n cheese -sweet potato -bread -fried pickles -fried onion -corn -regular baked potato loaded w/out bacon They don't have a patio so they're not pet friendly.

The service was horrible. We ordered two meals and an appetizer that was supposed to be brought with the meals. The appetizer arrived first and was cold. The other two meals arrived separately. None of the food was hot. It was barely warm. The service was @$$. Didn't see our waitress after we placed our order. Didn't get asked if everything was good no refills offered. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a Texas Roadhouse. I will not be stopping at this one again. This was the worst food I had on my trip and I ate at a gas station!!!

First time here today for dinner! The cinnamon butter bread was the bomb! Jalapeño bites were so cheesy. I got the island cooler drink with the extra shot and Texas peach fuzz. My husband got a Long Island and sangria margarita blended. The drinks were top notch! I got steak and broccoli. I will return again soon but I'll probably try the salmon.

Haven't been to a Texas Roadhouse in a while but it was surprisingly good! They had the yummy rolls of course. I got the catfish, hubby got shrimp and daughter got salmon and everything was tasty. Actually surprised there were so many seafood options. Only negative was there was a bit of a wait - about 20 minutes which was surprising given that we were there at 4:30

We went here while visiting a friend who lives Las Cruces. We had driven for quite a while and wanted to have some good food and good times. When we got there, it was really busy, but where actually seated within 10 mins. Our server was prompt and polite and got our drink orders and appetizers moving quickly. We had a app combo and the 4 of us wolfed it down. The main course came and everything was tasty, well cooked and we were all full before we knew it. The only complaint I would have was the noise level was crazy. Granted the place was full, but it was very loud. Everything else, top notch from our server (who was working her tail feathers off) to the food, we had a great time!

I've been to this location multiple times and I have always been impressed! The food has always been good and the service was always outstanding. However my most recent visit did not meet these expectations. Our server, Savannah had a serious attitude problem. My steak was overdone which is not a big deal but I did send it back and she rolled her eyes and took it with a lot of attitude. We did come in about an hour to close which as a server I know can be a little annoying so I am always sure to tip these servers well if they give acceptable service. But this was anything but acceptable (I did still tip but it wasn't the 30% I usually would have)

Food is best quality and prepared to your specific desire. I have never had anything I did not like!

My sister and I are seniors and we went to our local Texas Roadhouse for the first time today. I am happy to say it will not be the last time !! Starting out with the wonderful hot rolls was a pleasant surprise. My 6 ounce sirloin was heavenly and cooked perfectly. The rib add-on was the absolute best I have ever eaten, just falling off the bones. My sister had the country fried sirloin and just fell in love with the wonderful 'crunch' it had as well as the wonderful meat inside. The sides were great and our cocktails were perfect also. Bianca was our server and she couldn't have been any better!! The music was a tad too loud so when we go back I will ask to be seated in a quieter section. I can honestly say there will be no Outback nor Ruby's in our future. It was a marvelous meal and the service matched!

It's usually pretty busy and has a little bit of a wait but you can call online to get on the waitlist. It's always great food and I've never had a service issue here.

Called in order. Everything was well packaged. Taste was good. Steaks prepared as ordered. It's too noisy to eat at restaurant

Don't sit at the bar on a Monday night Bartender is to busy chatting with friends instead of tending to customers

My go to place for steaks. Always good and never disappoints. Rolls and butter there are amazing and the cuts of meat are not skimpy.

Disappointing! Ordered To Go. Tipped. Food came out Late (10 minutes). While waiting two people came back after picking up their food to complain about mixed up items and waited for replacements. Get my Order and arrive home. The Medium Ribeye is Well Done and very Tough. My Prime Rib is raw. Yes-not rare but raw on one side. I had a good laugh about it. Food temperatures can be tough. However, this was a gifted meal for my parents and the fact it was so poorly executed was embarrassing. I also asked for extra bread and butter and got three rolls total (less than you get dining in). I regret choosing this place today and wasting $62.30 on uncooked and overcooked food. Texas Roadhouse reputation should be upheld and people should be able to rely on getting what they ordered.

Mason was very attentive and took good care of us and Jennifer checked to make sure everything was to our liking. Food was terrific. Salmon and Ribs were delicious. Veggies were great. Salad was delicious. Rolls were outstanding. Potato not quite cooked enough but everything else was great.

On a road trip and had to try this famous chain. We underestimated how full we would get but we still enjoyed our meal. So inexpensive and good food if you order the right things. The cactus blossom is great if you like onion rings or the Awesome Blossom. The smothered chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender. Buttered corn was great too. I would skip the mashed potatoes though. Blue crush was sweet but hit the spot.

The quality of this establishment has dropped considerably over time. The floor under our booth was covered in food and trash, the steak was underwhelming, the window sill had numerous dead flies scattered across it. Our bread rolls were burnt and hard. I've been to this establishment many times and have never been this disappointed. Good mashed potatoes though, fries were okay although consistently come out kind of soggy. Salad came out with cheese on it despite it previously having been stated there was an allergy. Fine service though.

I thought the salad, bread and the blossom onion was very good. Fresh lettuce, tons of egg and tomato tasted like home grown. Bread was hot and tasty! The beef tips were good but not great. My daughter had the pulled pork. It was fantastic. The staff were friendly and worked fast! I would go back.

Just ate here for Valentines Day. Place was packed and wait time was accurate of about two hours, but SO worth it. I was super impressed with not only how great our food was (get the beef tips with potatoes!!! Medium rare was BOMB) but also how amazing the staff were. Very friendly and absolutely on top of it. The kitchen was turning out food SO fast!! Our server was even surprised. Management was walking around greeting folks and making sure everyone was cared for. I wanted to brag so hard on all of them but my mouth was awkwardly full and I could only give a big grin and thumbs up when they came by our table. Will be visiting again!

food was dry and found glass in my drink and it was not taken off my bill 10/10 don't recommend

This is my 3rd visit to a Texas Roadhouse and this location is no different. The cactus blossom and ribeye has always my go to order and I've never left unsatisfied. Their version of rolls is probably the best I've ever had versus other restaurants. Light and fluffy with a touch of sweetness. Our server was great and kept on checking up on us.

My friends and I visited for dinner and a birthday celebration. The wait was not too bad as we did call ahead seating. As usual, Texas Roadhouse was packed with patrons on a Saturday night. But, the food did not dampen in quality or speed. Texas Roadhouse is doing so many things right. Their servers are always cheerful and their food consistent. Our party enjoyed a variety of appetizers, main dishes, and even complementary dessert for our birthday boy! I won't say how old he turned, but the server did such a wonderful job of peer pressuring him into that saddle so we could sing, laugh, and make a memory. It was wonderful of so many servers to join in singing and celebrating with us!

My husband and I had never been to. Texas Roadhouse, which is a chain. The place was packed. Frankly, we were expecting to wait for quite a while. We didn't. The place ran like a well oiled machine. We were seated in less than 7 minutes. Our server was right there and patiently explained the menu since we were "first timers". Every single person who came to our table was friendly. And we had several people stop by to check our drinks, our bread, our salads. The manager even came by. In addition to excellent service, our food was terrific. We both had small steak filets and sides. The bread and honey butter was so good. Our sides were fresh and our steaks were tender and perfectly prepared. We will return and I highly recommend.

Normally I'm not one to give 5 stars to National chains but the service here with jaden and Noel have been above and beyond. The hospitality was the best I've ever experienced at a Texas Roadhouse. Puts the one in Southern California to shame. Thank you Jaden and Noel for putting road house back into my repertoire of steak houses to visit. A little tip, get the boned in ribeye. It's the best way to eat your ribeye.

First off, if you have hearing trouble...this place gets loud. It is NOT the place to take your hard of hearing Aunt Carol...ok? Here's a tip - use the app to get on their table waiting list before you leave the house. Especially if you are a large group. Margaritas are a delight. Steaks are always good. Do not get the prime rib though. Always a disappointment. But they cook the steaks how you request. Loaded taters are good. We are not big on chain places. But we do go here when we are tired and just want a decent meal and a margarita made with tequila. They can be hard to find in Cruces

We always like Texas Roadhouse and last night dinner was even better than before. Our waitress was super nice and very attentive. Steak was perfectly cooked (medium rare) The restaurant is clean and comfortable so my son and I had a great dinner.

I'm such a sucker for their prime rib. 10oz is their smallest size and lemme tell ya, it's big enough for me.. you want more? They got bigger! Smother it with au jus sauce and the horseradish cream on top and it's phenomenal. Great steaks great burgers and full bar! This is the place to be for the meat lovers, but make sure you put yourself on the call ahead list before driving to the restaurant. There is always a wait but the call ahead list will save you from waiting on a table. Top notch meats. Medium rare is how your meat should be cooked.

One of the first times we sat at the bar due the wait time being longer than usual. The gals at the bar were fast, courteous and had great personality. Food came out quick and as expected. With the TVs and music going, it was still at a good level for me and the wife to hold conversation. We will definitley consider sitting at the bar again.

Good food and love the Homemade rolls. Service was quick and great server. We love the chilled out ambiance that's family oriented and gatherings of friends. Highly recommended

I know things are more difficult now and would normally not write an unfavorable review but my experience was so bad I will never go back We ordered an appetizer and I requested catsup with it. No catsup came asked twice more. None. Salad came. Asked for pepper. Never came. We ordered bowls of texas chili. When it came it was stone cold, not even lukewarm. Asked for it to be heated. When the waitress returned with our chili there was more shredded cheese on top but not hotter. Waitress said not her fault nothing she could do. Well there is something I can do. Never go back

We came here to celebrate a family birthday dinner...and I'm so glad we did! I had driven by so many times and always wanted to stop, but my husband makes THE BEST steaks so we rarely go out to steakhouses lol. Since it was my birthday I just wanted someone else to cook and do the dishes so we decided to give it a try. I lived the atmosphere and energy of the place. It's loud, but not annoyingly loud..just a lit of people having a good time. I love the display of steaks in the front. The decor is country cute! The service was fast and friendly. The food was great. My baby was having a good time, being a loud 1 year old and she fit right into the lively atmosphere! I highly recommend

Love the bread. Good steaks as well. To go order service has always been easy and fast. As far as eating in restaurant the atmosphere is great. The new bar look with tvs is nice.

Food was terrible, our waiter Jake was wonderful,and the ambiance was like a circus, very busy.

I fell in love with their rolls during the 2017 World Food Championships during a celebration dinner, finishing the Top 10 Round in Recipe. Not sure if this option is available at every Texas Roadhouse but when in NM, I must get green chiles. They are fire roasted here and top off our steak. It was sooo good on the ribeye! I need to order my ribeyes this way from now on at Texas Roadhouse. Service was great! Our server kept our beverages full and made sure we were good on rolls! :)

The difficult noise level only attests to the popularity of the place. The steaks and prime rib are the best in town at this price point. Comfort not so much. Service is normally very attentive, especially in these hard-to-hire times. Commendable usually!

Food and service is always good. The noise level is a little high but survivable. (snicker snicker). The people are very friendly and always seem to be having a good time.

Excellent steaks that you can pick out yourself. Fresh butcher cuts daily. Fast and friendly service. They went above and beyond to provide us a great dining experience! Will definitely be back.

I wasn't going to do this review, because I love Texas Roadhouse, but after tonight and several chances for them to get it right, I am now obligated. My husband and I decided to go out for our 22 year wedding anniversary at Texas Roadhouse tonight for our anniversary dinner. The waitress was amazing! That is the reason for the 2 stars. I ordered a 12 ounce ribeye steak and my husband ordered the 10 ounce prime rib, which they said they were out of the 10oz, but had 12oz left. I ordered my steak medium rare and when it came to the table, the center was medium at best, but the outside was charred black! It smelled horrible. After sending it back, it took another 30mins to get the replacement, which was burned also and was mostly now fat. My poor husband choked down a flavorless piece of prime rib, and he almost never complains about food. When we were getting ready to leave, I was still hungry, due to only eating a small baked potato and a couple bites of over cooked canned corn, I gave them the benefit of the doubt of having an off night and went ahead and ordered some apple pie to go. When I went to eat the pie after we got home, half of the top of the crust was missing and the topping had the consistency of raw eggs. When I went to eat the pie, all I could do is laugh! What ever could go wrong tonight, did go wrong. Sorry guys, but you all dropped the ball. Not sure when, or if we will be going back.

I love the rolls, steak tips and a those amazing green beans. Throw in a salad and your set!

Super good & friendly staff. The food is great & tasty. Also , the ambiance there is comfy.

I LOVE Texas Roadhouse. Obviously for the delicious fresh baked bread and cinnamon butter. But also for the tender, juicy stakes and delicious chunky home style mashed potatoes. The only thing is the green chile, totally not NM fresh chile but I'll let it slide. The appetizers are great but can be pretty salty. I honestly think the bread is enough of an appetizer with unlimited refills. This place is a go to for steaks, bread, and sides. And everything in between.

Our server was awesome! The tenders in the appetizer combo were tiny, almost like they were nuggets. Overall a nice dinner.

We had an amazing experience with our servers. The environment is always loud though and not good for conversation. Food is always good and the wait staff is friendly and attentive.

Food was good, friendly staff, fun environment but most of all we had the best waiter (jaeger) he was so polite,checked on us a lot Had the best Attitude. Thank you for making our time and dinner that much better:)

My wife and I had a terrific dinner at Texas Roadhouse this Saturday. Great service - attentive and very friendly (everyone working was busy and hustling - no laziness here). We used the Wait List app and only had to wait for maybe 10 minutes. The food was excellent - we each had a caesar salad, we shared the cactus blossom, and then had ribeye steaks - mine with steak fries and hers with the loaded baked potato. Everything tasted great and was fresh and hot. We had legendary margaritas - again, wonderful. The ONLY negative is that this place is packed and LOUD. You really can't carry on a conversation without shouting. But other than that, we had a great meal and a great time.

We ordered food to go. Loaded potatoes, steaks, Cesar salads. We got baked potatoes with nothing. No Cesar salad. We called and spoke to the manager. He said he would refund the ingredients missing for the loaded potatoes and the missing salads. $5.00 and change. Keep it. You are missing the point Mr Manager. The experience is worth more than $5.00. We definitely will not return.

Got the prime rib..was a little more than disappointed....NO FLAVOR!! YEAH, TEXAS ROADHOUSE..WHATS UP WITH THAT? New cooks? And our server was less than willing to serve. Sheez ..this girl was dragging ezz far behind..had to call on 2 other servers for drinks and napkins.maybe she had a bad day..still tipped my usual 20%. If shes like this everyday..she will not last.
