It was my first time visiting Texas Roadhouse and overall it was a great experience. We waited about 30 minutes on a Friday night, which is understandable given how busy the place was. I ordered the BBQ Grilled Chicken and Sirloin with vegetables and a house salad. The portions were very good, and both the steak and chicken had great flavor. Everything was well prepared. I also really enjoyed the fresh bread they serve at the beginning — definitely a nice touch. The peanuts were great too. One thing that surprised me was the Texas Roadhouse Steak Sauce; in my opinion it’s even better than A1 sauce. The only small suggestion would be to lower the music just a bit, but overall the food and the experience were very good. I will definitely be coming back.

Texas Roadhouse knows exactly what it is, and it doesn’t try to be anything else. It’s loud, it’s busy, and it’s unapologetically Texan. First thing you notice? The peanuts. Free. On the table. No ceremony. Just crack, eat, repeat. It sets the tone right away. Service is fast. Not “we’ll check on you in 20 minutes” fast. Actually fast. They move with purpose. And paying is ridiculously easy because they put that little payment device right on your table. You can split the bill, tip, and close out in under a minute without waiting for anyone. More restaurants need to copy that system. The steaks come out cooked properly. If you order medium, you get medium. Imagine that. Juicy, well-seasoned, consistent. Not dry, not guessing. Sides are solid too. Loaded baked potatoes, seasoned rice, fresh veggies. They don’t feel like an afterthought. And yes, if you’re ordering tacos or anything that needs it, add the crema. Trust me. It elevates the whole thing. What really sells it is the atmosphere. The boots-on-the-ground, country music, wood-and-iron décor. They give you that full Texas vibe without being cheesy about it. You walk in and it feels like a steakhouse, not a corporate cafeteria pretending to care. Is it fine dining? No. Is it dependable, fast, and satisfying? Absolutely. Great steakhouse. Samplers and burgers are also tasty. Atmosphere is loud and fun great place for a beer. It is crowded and on weekends you can wait over 60 minutes for a table. Worth it though.

Texas Roadhouse is one of our favorite places to eat! Always consistently prepared item and service. I love to pull up, open my door and get a big smell of seared steak. To die for! I can’t get away from the ribeye and my wife the filet with the loaded baked potato and salad! So many other items I want to try but…..I’m hooked!

Excellent Steaks, Legendary Appetizers, and Top-Notch Service! We visited Texas Roadhouse this past Tuesday, and it was a wonderful dinner experience! We started with the famous Cactus Blossom, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful—it’s an absolute must-try. For the main course, I ordered the Ribeye and Pork Rib combo with an extra side of grilled shrimp. Everything was cooked flawlessly; the ribeye was tender and juicy, the ribs fell right off the bone, and the shrimp were a delicious addition. The portion sizes were generous, and the overall value for the quality of the food is excellent. Beyond the food, the service truly stood out. Our servers were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the entire dinner. The only small stumble during the evening was the spicy margarita. My wife found it to be too intense and spicy for her taste. While it was well-made, it just didn't hit the mark for her flavor preference. Overall, despite the margarita hiccup, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We left feeling satisfied and impressed by both the food and the staff. We highly recommend Texas Roadhouse!

Great service and solid food! Staff constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything and kept bringing rolls to our tables which was great! Are so quick I didn't even get a proper pic of my dish so excuse me if it looks rough. It was the portabello mushroom smothered chicken with a baked potatoes and a Cesar salad. Will be back!

I just think quality of food for the price is not great. Boneless wings are basically the cheapest battered chicken nasty taste compared to a wingstop. Potatoes are stiff and cheese feels plasticky. The only good thing was the bread!!!

The rib eye 🥩 with the ceasar salad and cup of chilli are my favorites! When wanting a drink I order the Margarita on the rocks... It's so good! Attention is nice and all the staff is very kind!

My wife and I always save this place for special occasions...why you ask? Because they never fail to deliver a quality dinner service that will let you leave wanting to return again. This place is always packed... especially during special occasions, so be ready for a wait. I won't hold it against the place .. because good things come to those who wait, right? Servers have always been attentive. My wife and I always enjoy their buttered rolls... delicious start to anyone's night. We try to hold off on ordering more because the main entree is coming up ..but it's a hard temptation to say no to more buttered rolls. The cook on the meat has usually been spot on. This night, I had chicken fried steak. The portion was more than enough, the cook was nice and crisp, the gravy had the perfect combination of salt and pepper, and the steak itself was cooked perfectly. My wife's steak was cooked to her liking of well done. The topping of mushrooms added the perfect element of earthiness and texture to each bite...it was delicious! The loaded potatoes were a given of course... And everything paired perfectly with a cold draft beer. If there was only one tidbit...I wish they would expand their draft selection, considering many others nearby have considerable draft choices...but that is splitting hairs. One of my favorite places to enjoy an evening with my wife...and it will be yours as well!

I live down the road and frequent this restaurant every few weeks. Dining has always been pleasant, no issues there, but I have issues every time I get to-go. Specifically, last time I waited in my car as expected. I was listening to a podcast and didn't realize it had been 30 minutes past my pickup time and they still hadn't brought it out. Had to go up to the window, the girl let me know their texting service doesn't work, and my food was cold. I was upset but took it home and ate it disappointed because I didn't want to wait even longer. Learned my lesson and came later than the expected pickup time, parked, when I texted it said it wasn't ready so I waited 10 minutes before proceeding to the window. It took forever for anyone to come to the window, and even more time the 2nd time when I realized there was stuff missing from the bag. It wasn't until 20 minutes later that I got a text saying my food was ready and they were bringing it to my car. In total I was there 25+ minutes, every curbside spot was taken and I never saw a single employee take food to the cars. It makes me wonder if there really is something wrong with their texting line or if they're poorly managed and it's a "them" problem. The whole point of curbside service is so I don't have to get out of my car. But this restaurant makes it really difficult and makes me not want to get pickup from them anymore.

My husband and I visited for dinner. Upon entering, we were quickly seated. The service was great, and the waitress that served us, Kimberly, was pleasant and helpful. The bread was good, as always. I got the grilled shrimp, with rice, vegetables, and the house salad. The sides were good. The shrimp was overcooked but had a nice flavor. My husband ordered the porterhouse t-bone medium, but received it medium-rare. Some parts were raw. The steak was so huge that he wasn't bothered by the raw parts. We were upsold on the smothered steak, but didn't receive the smothering. Thankfully, it was removed from our bill. Overall, a decent experience; the atmosphere and service is nice.

Food was okay. Nothing special. The food didn't come out at the same time. We were missing sides and one of our main dishes. Services was just a shame. JT always seemed lost and kept forgetting stuff. Honestly felt like he was ignoring us when we asked for things. Restaurant looked clean. Manager seemed very active.

We went in for late lunch not crowded Friday 6/28. I had 12 Oz ribeye streak cool temperature, 60% fat. Other plate steak and pork ribs. The ribs she wouldn't eat,COLD and steak was cooked right .took the plate back. Overcooked both steak and ribs. Edinburg location much better. Maybe because it was late lunch time. Maybe pre cooked food. Who knows.

Served me a Raw steak made me lose my appetite im mad asf ong im never coming here again

I love Texas Roadhouse! Every time I come to Texas I make it a point to come here. The closest one I have at home is 2 hours away so it's a bummer. I love the bread and the salads. I had the steak medallions and they were awesome and delicious! The service was the chef's kiss. It was super great. The waiter was super attentive and our drinks were always filled up. He constantly came back to check on us (not annoying at all) and got us anything we needed. Obviously that place is a little loud but I like the vibe at Roadhouse, it's always great! I've never had a bad experience. Will always come here again.

Whenever my wife lets me choose where to go on a date night she knows I will choose Texas Roadhouse. Best prime rib. Service was great and the free buns are always amazing.

Had the promo for 2 one stake came undercooked they messed up my order bringing sides I didn't order, i order grilled jalapeño and they came out rubbery and cold i was not able to eat them, and at the end i was over charged charged i was going to look at the ticket but the waiter stepped in and rushed the table monitor to the card payment i ask for the email ticket witch i never received, I don't recommend and will never come back to this restaurant!

Shockingly good dinner, reasonably priced. Potato skins were great. Try the pork chop...delicious and marinated to stay moist. I wasn't expecting much but this was terrific!

Damn..how does it know I went to the one in McAllen when I live in Houston? Is my phone spying on me. Overall the service was good. They did mix up the temperatures, but we just swapped steaks and lived happily ever after. Manager came over to give us comp...we said....not necessary. Life is too short to moan and groan about everything. All in all, a good dinner.

Waited a little less than 2 hours and they could not accommodate a 5 top non booth. They kept stating the table was almost ready several times. We were very disappointed. We ended up leaving the restaurant once we approached the 2 hour wait time.

Friday night dinner and the place was packed. Definitely a busy place for families so don't expect a nice quite dinner. The rolls are always hot and fresh. Our steak was over cooked so had to send back but the manager was very accommodating and made sure we were satisfied with the remake. Our server, Mario, needs to realize first impressions are everything. A bad attitude doesn't get you very far and senior citizens need a little more attention and patience.

it was aight steak was good but also a billion dollars. service was great. the fried pickles were salty as balls. only went because my parents said no to my suggestion to go to a local taco joint smh. a very standard roadhouse experience. 3.4/5

Fell in love with Juan. We had a waiter at the beginning named mario who was very salty, guessing he had a bad night, but ended up switching a section closer to the bar. Our server Juan was MAGNIFICENT super attractive, attentive, and genuinely kind. 10/10 loved him. Would go back again just for him.

I've come here multiple times with my wife. If I keep coming here it is because she loves the bread. However, there are better steakhouses in the valley than this. I ordered a rib eye steak, my steak of choice at any steak house, medium rare. I've ordered a medium rare steak here before and they've made it just right. However, there is no consistency on what, "medium rare," is to the chefs on staff. This time around, I was brought a steak that was closer to medium. I like my steak juicy, not dry. They took it back and brought me another. This time, it was closer to rare, which is more bloody (I don't mind the blood, gives it a good taste when done right) but the steak was chewy. I couldn't bite off any part of the steak. It was like meat flavored gum. They took that back and brought me another medium. It was hard to explain to the waiter and manager of how medium should be, and how I had had it before at the same location a couple of weeks back. The manager sent me a 4th steak and to not argue anymore, I told him that I would eat it. He did give me a card for me to come a second time for my experience. I refused the card, kindly, because I told him I wasn't trying to get anything free out of this. I just like my steak done properly and with consistency per restaurant so that I know what to expect. He insisted that I take the free meal for a next return and even removed my current steak from my bill. Not once did the waitress or the manager lose their temper, which is great, but I wasn't being a belligerent customer either. It was a civilized disagreement over the preparation of a steak. We will probably continue coming here, again, because the customer service is very good and the bread is delicious. However, as far as steaks go, choose elsewhere. My wife orders salmon here. I've learned that the peppercorn medallions are the closest thing I can order to leave somewhat satisfied.

No Gracias. We waited 43 minutes to be seated. I'm not unhappy with the wait time at all, I understand that when the food is good, waiting is to be expected. We waited because I asked for a table, asking for a disability accommodation means you are going to wait longer than usual. I'm unhappy because the hostess didn't bother addressing our needs, despite the fact that guest after guest after guest came in after us, and all were seated promptly. All while the hostess looked past us, not once letting us know how much longer we could expect to wait. Looking past the disabled guest is just bad behavior; simply rude. The manager didn't want to hear what I had to say; he told me he listened, but I know he didn't hear me. He offered to pay for our meal. I said "No Gracias."

Absolutely fabulous!! After a long wait, the food was worth it!! The steak seemed small for a 6 oz but I know they shrink a bit while cooking. It was delicious. Also had baked potato (loaded) which was also very good. So satisfying to have a great tasty meal and a take-home box too. Not inexpensive but you don't eat like this every day so no guilt!! I wish I had stuffed my pockets with their rolls. Yum!

Did a reservation, waiting 40 min wait time in my car, with confirmation message. Lady cancelled my dinner and when i asked why they didnt tell me... all they did was apologize,worst service. Would never recommend

Awesome food, and best rib-eye ever!! And the bread with de cinnamon-butter is so delicious!! I always ask for more lol. And the drinks they are strong. The only thing if you are planing to have dinner on a Sunday, is better to go as a couple they seat you faster than a big group.

I've paid three times as much as I did tonight for my 12oz ny strip cooked perfect medium rare that I thoroughly enjoy. Atmosphere is 5 stars. Customer service 5 stars. It's not super clean cause thy give your peanuts and most people still throw the shells on the floor. Onion was meh. Bleu cheese dressing was meh. Baked potato was meh. Steak was awesome. Good beer selection. Colleague got a bone in ribeye; was awesome.

So.. My wife and I decided to go to Texas Roadhouse tonight.. we have been looking forward to a delightful night together for the entire day.. Upon arriving at the restaurant we requested a booth in the bar... We were informed that there was not one available, so we told them they could just seat us anywhere... And that is what they did... They sat us at the dirtiest table had.. We waited by the table for about 10 minutes... It eventually got cleaned off... Moving on.. We eventually got a waitress... (I will exclude her name but only because my wife made me)... SHE SUCKED.. I was in a bad mood already, so I just decided to call it a night with a big bowl of chili with cheese and onions... I figured that plus a few Patron Margaritas & I would be on my way... The wifey wanted ribs, so we got a full rack.. I knocked out one of the margaritas.... The chili finally showed up... surprise surprise... They forgot the onions... So then I pointed that out to the waitress and she informed me that they were out... (Ain't that just wonderful) So then I went ahead and slowly finished my bowl of chili & helped the wife work on the ribs... My second margarita had been gone for about 10 minutes and I was tired of waiting... So I decided I would just go to the bar myself and get my margarita, the wife's beer & the barbecue sauce that they did not bring us.. So I did just that... How could I have known that I was going to be totally inconvenienced by having to pay for the drinks separately at the bar... But I totally understand... And that is not the bartenders fault... After I had the drinks and the barbecue sauce and had been back at the table for two or three minutes. the waitress decided to show back up.. She asked us if we needed anything else... Without missing a beat I said... "Yep.. We needed some drinks about 10 minutes ago, but don't worry... I got them myself" Then she asked us if we needed a refill... Yes lady... Give me a free refill on my margarita.. #GTFOOH The chili was pretty good considering it was missing one of the main components in my book... And the ribs were pretty good too... Only thing that wasn't good was: **the fact that they were out of onions.. **the customer service... Anyway I have been drinking and I'm pretty upset so I probably shouldn't even be writing this right now... But I am... So take it for what it's worth... I'm sure I'll be back here, but I promise we won't ever have that waitress again... And I promise you... I'm a pretty easy guy to please..

We always have a great time when we go there. Love the ambiance, music and food. Staff is nice and friendly.

Took 45 minutes to bring me and incomplete order plus i ordered extra and was charged as i should have been. But given nothing extra on top of that.. how do you give someone an incomplete order to an order that has even more than the basic meal? Plus the meat came out dry as if it had been sitting the whole time we were waiting... bruh... love road house but not this one.. ohh and as you can see they put the original sides that came with the order on my bread... who wants smooshed bread ?... maybe yall had a bad night im gonna just be honest and say im disappointed...

I am sitting here waiting for a 30.00 steak FREEZING to death!!! They freeze people here so they leave quickly..I suggest you go somewhere else to get a steak.

5 service!!! Rick G was outstanding courteous and on top of everything!! Bus Boy on duty asked if he could pick up our plates, grabbed us a take home box!! I am super impressed, and I'm not easily impressed!! My steak was just a tad over cooked than I wanted BUT was still juicy and delicious!! Manager on duty checked on us and gave us a warm smile!!! KUDOS Texas Roadhouse PHARR!!! You are our favorite location!!! We will see you soon!!!

I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants in general, but Texas Roadhouse is one that I frequent. It's noisy and crowded and the service can be hit or miss, but the food is consistently good, the prices are pretty reasonable and they have call-ahead seating which is awesome. Love the steaks. The seasoning is perfect and they usually do a pretty good job of cooking it as ordered (medium rare: rawr). Love the chili, the chicken, the salads, the onion blossom, the green beans, the bread, the butter and the peanuts. Heck, pretty much everything's good. However, I'm not too keen on the fried pickles nor jalapeno poppers and about half the time the ribs are overcooked. They are delicious when they're not charred. We'll be back. If you like to gamble, then order the ribs. Otherwise, try the steak.

Once again we had a good meal at this location. Even though it was a busy lunch time, service was adequate. I'd been to the dentist that morning to replace a large filling that had fallen out so I was looking for something that was on the soft side. I settled on the grilled salmon. I asked that it be prepared "medium" so it wouldn't be overcooked. They cooked it spot on! It was still slightly translucent in the middle, nicely seasoned and still moist. Who would've thought that here in the south of Texas I could get a decent salmon filet?!?!? My side of mashed potatoes was very good. They obviously were not some packaged mix because there were some actual lumps of potato in them. My side Caesar salad was very good as well. The wife enjoyed her meal too. She had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and a side salad. We've been to this location as well as others throughout Texas and we've always come away happy. This time was no exception.

The steak was actually good and cooked correctly. That should be enough to recommend this place. The sides and appetizers are standard casual dining, nothing special. Still a pleasant meal. We had a good server so that was good. Prices are standard for steak casual dining. I could do without the peanut shells on the floor, seems dirty but I guess that is part of the ambience.

Late post...came here last week. We wanted to try Texas style steak so we yelped for Steakhouse and found the great reviews for this place and decided to hive it a try. We were seated right away but our drinks did not come right away. Our server seems to be very forgetful but thankfully his good sense of humor makes up for this. My husband ordered the 20oz Ribeye ($21.99) with seasoned rice and sweet corn. The meat was cooked to perfection (he got medium well) and enjoyed every bit of it. The seasoned rice was too salty but the corn was good. My sister ordered the combination plate with 10oz Ribeye + Ribs ($18.99) with seasoned rice and sweet corn. She enjoyed her food as well except for the seasoned rice. My son ordered the Pulled Pork + Ribs ($14.99) with steak fries and loaded sweet potato. He also loved his food except our server forgot to bring his sweet potato until after he finished majoriry of his food. I ordered the combination plate of 10oz Ribeye + Ribs ($18.99) with chili and sweet corn. Everything I got was delish! The meat was cooked to perfection and the chili was amazing. One of the best I've had in a long time. We also ordered the Cactus Blossom which is actually onion rings and that was amazing! I hate onion but this one I truly enjoyed. The warm, soft bread they give with the flavored butter was pretty good too. Our overall food experience was phenomenal. Will definitely return here. Highly recommend this place. One star deduction was due to our server's forgetfulness and a little slow on service.

My favorite dish to order is the 6oz sirloin medium well, smothered in mushrooms and onions with a side of green beans and steak fries. I know that if I dine in or pick up food their hospitality and delicious food is hard to beat.

I want to give a special thanks to the Our server for today Lydia and Manager Bianca for their service today. They were very helpful with a very small food issue on our meal today. They were attentive and came by more than once to make sure our experience was to Roadhouse standards. I am amazed to see this kind of service still available. The food was excellent but the service was outstanding. Thank you so much.

Texas Roadhouse Is A Must if your visiting Texas They Have Tons Of Meals And Appetizers They Cook the food until it's perfect they have great service there this restaurant is definitely on top of my list For sure

We visited this Texas Roadhouse while on vacation. Our waiter was good, but we could barely hear him (or him hear us) because the music was so loud in the restaurant. We asked for the music to be turned down three times, but it was not. We ordered a rare steak and baked potato with butter and cheese. When the order came out, the potato had sour cream on it. The girl that delivered the food said, " you can just scrape the sour cream off". We asked to speak to the manager. She came over, but did little to solve the problem. Then the service manager came over. He sent out another steak and potato (cooked and fixed correctly this time) but by this time... I was done. It really wasn't an enjoyable experience. Food wasn't prepared the way we asked and it was so loud we couldn't visit with anyone at our table. We will not be back.

I would not go back, the Two stars are for the staff -the manager brought my order after it was re-made with a smile and great attitude our waiter was very nice and the hostess was also very nice. The food and atmosphere however are not on the same level. They left a a pen and signed receipt from the last customer on the table the table felt greasy the menus were dirty. The fried pickles were cold and soggy the cup of ranch had a crouton at the bottom which killed my appetite after finding it. There was someone COUGHING loudly with congestion at their booth the entire time we were there with the measures taken for Covid that should have been handled. My burger came out with a rock hard bun. They re-made it and boxed it for us when I cut into it later at home it was pink and bloody I had ordered it well done to top that off it wasn't the burger I originally ordered either. So all around it was not a good experience. 2 out of 4 of us felt sick to our stomachs later that night I'm not sure which one of the dishes caused it.

I've heard about this restaurant for years but got to go to one for the first time last night in Texas! The appetizer bread with cinnamon butter was amazing!! The killer ribs were ok but the fried catfish was the real scene-stealer. It was so tender and tasty.

Although we usually order to go I like Texas Roadhouse a lot better than Logan's. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious & super flavorful, served well & they know how to make your steak exactly how you order it. My hubby likes to enjoy their super cold beer at the bar while we wait for our order. When they bring our order out they open every box & container to make sure it's right. They have never disappointed us!

Great sirloin steak and a great price. Service was fantastic and the food was great. What's not to love about peanuts!

I visit McAllen once a year and make it a point to spend at least 4 evenings there out of a two week stay. I love the the Bar staff, they are friendly, courteous, attentive and love what they do. Managers always introduce themselves. The Ribeye steak is my favorite dish. I have had this steak no less than 20 times over 5 years, the best ever. The prices are great compared to what we get here in Hawaii and the quality is superior. I'll be there this October and will certainly show up. Aloha from the Island of Kauai. Marc Kennedy

Really bad service at this location. Group of four of us. They were slow to bring the beers. Brought my buddy a raw and bloody steak when he ordered a medium well steak. They finally brought bake the steak when everyone else was finished. They brought the salad after the meals. I will say my ribeye was good. The manager came over and basically just said she was sorry.

Bread was amazing. 11 ounce steak was immaculate. I loved the way my waitress delivered my food to me and my friend. she was bad asf as she should. She was brunette, 5'5", she goes by epiphany. 11/10.

So Roadhouse has redeemed themselves!!! I guess maybe it's better during the day!!! Our server Tiffany was Amazing!!!!! Food was hot and awesome... again only came back because my husband loves it so much.... awesome place!!

I came to have dinner here for a birthday and I was not happy with my experience. We got our food but we have no silverware, we asked for it multiple times even before the food got here and we still never got our silverware. I believe that is one of the first things we are supposed to get when being seated, definitely not after the food has already arrived for several minutes. As I was about to eat my food, I start mixing up my loaded baked potato and notice there was a long piece of hair between it all. I politely told my waitress to retrieve my plate and that I did not want anything anymore. Although my waitress was very nice about the situation and offered to get me anything else quickly, I lost my appetite after that. I will not be coming back here again.

Veggie platter was delicious. However the service was not good at all. The salad plate was dirty and manager never came out to apologize. Everyone in the workforce is aware of the "lunch hour" and waiters shouldn't take a long time giving you the check. I had to stand up to get the waiters attention. When I stood up another employee came to clean the table when I hadn't even paid. I had to grab all my stuff since he had to sit to clean it off for the next customers. It was very disappointing and the worse part, is that it wasn't even a full house. I won't be going to the Jackson location in a while.

Visited last night as an alternative to pho because our favorite pho restaurant was closed before we could get there. When we arrived, they had an hour before they would be scheduled to close. No waiting at all and our server, Bianca, was absolutely amazing! We loved her genuine attitude of enjoying her job. Her smile is contagious. Hubby and I ordered sirloin steaks that came out delicious. The food, the atmosphere, and the service was absolutely unforgettable. We're not ones to leave very big tips very often but for Bianca's service, we made sure to tip pretty good. Definitely check this place out. You won't regret it.
