Texas Roadhouse

I went there for my birthday as they emailed me a free appetizer. I chose cheese fries with bacon(very salty)and they were charging me that at end, I have to tell the waitress to take that off. The only decent thing was the ribs other than that the meat was no the term we requested(overcooked). Kids meals were so bad very dry chicken. We asked for grill chicken and seems like they don't clean the grill. We were charged more that was on the menu for children meals apparently because they requested the drinks before and were bigger than kids size😏. Also the Andy steak which was overcooked and my child don't even eat it was more expensive 14 something dollars for a little piece charred meat? The margaritas they advertised for 5 dollars, not a good deal I got the frozen one was just crushed ice in a plastic tiny cup so, better go for the regular ones. Another good thing was our waitress Michaela was very attentive.-

Marco was absolutely incredible as our server. Our food & drinks came out in a timely manner. He checked on our table periodically, demonstrated a professional attitude, and went above & beyond to make us feel special. This particular Roadhouse was extremely clean & the entire staff was super kind. We will definitely be back!

Very hard to believe I haven’t reviewed my favorite local restaurant. Easily the best and most flavorful steaks at easily the best prices. $35 today got me a massive 24oz sirloin, cooked perfectly, with two sides. Usually I have more pictures but I thought I was just going to be adding on to an already existing review. To put this in perspective: massive 24oz sirloin steak with two sides for $35 whereas yesterday, I bought a large sub from jimmy John’s and it cost me $24. Every place I go to gets compared to Texas Roadhouse because they are the golden standard (in my opinion) in both flavor AND price.

A great spot for true meat lovers. They bring out their freshly baked bread before the meal, which is a nice touch. You can choose two side dishes to go with your meat, and the portions are both filling and flavorful. I found everything delicious and satisfying. Definitely worth coming back!

The are very quick with service. They are friendly. The music choices are awesome !! The food always comes out hot abd the prices for what you get i feel are great.

I would simply say, "They are the BEST!" From the food quality/ quantity, people and atmosphere, everything is great. Nice and professional staff that make you happy and feeling better with excellent taste :) You should definitely try it!

I have been there several times. I found all meals to be good. The atmosphere has always been friendly and cool. At the several locations I have eaten over the years I've always had good friendly service. Of course there could be a separate restaurant that could not be managed well. But no one just judge the whole chain by a local restaurant.

Received a free appetizer for my Birthday. My Daughter decided to treat me to a dinner as well. The staff and wait time was no issue. Our waitress was very attentive. We did have to wait quite a while for our entrees. The rolls were hot, yet, quite chewy! Ordered 6 oz steaks, that appeared quite small once cooked, maybe there’s more fatty tissue in the selection that burns off when prepared. I do medium well, it was somewhat dry, but served hot. The baked potato appears to be old, upon looking at the skin and the consistency of the potato itself. The steamed vegetables were served hot, appeared to be more of carrots than anything else The rib appetizer was served hot and fall off the bone, that was the most enjoyable part of the meal. Quality appears to be changing among many restaurant chains, unfortunately, it’s not fir the better

Great food. Great service. Very busy location. Right off 95. Get there early to get the early bird.

We found 2 seats at the bar even though there was over an hour wait list. Our bartender Ashley was great! We loved the Mango Margarita and Sangria Margarita with extra shot! Steaks were cooked perfectly to order, juicy and well seasoned.

I considered this place tops for steaks until now. Now I've pretty much given up on that. The last 2 times that I have come here and ordered my favorite, which is filet mignon it has not been good. Apparently when you order a larger (10 oz.) steak they feel that it;s a good idea to put some sort of weight on it while it cooks, presumably to make it cook faster. It also flattens out the steak and makes it far less juicy. It doesn't even look like a filet any more. The pieces that I have gotten also had some gristle and fat which is not typical for this cut of meat. When I go to other restaurants there is no waste from my filet. I can no longer recommend this place as there are far better choices in the area. It's generally an extremely busy place and parking is difficult as well.

Got exactly what I ordered cooked exactly as I requested it. No surprise cancelations or substitutions. Generous portions and courteous friendly staff. Breath of fresh air lately

Eh. Not great..but definitely not bad either. The Margarita was awesome. Steak was good.. Salad was boring. And we hated the rolls. ..too soft & chewy& don't care for cinnamon butter. Nothing was GRRREAT. Except the staff.

The service could be improved, they should always make sure when somebody walks in that they have bread. Also, the service should not be touching the bread with there hands. Customers can see that they are touching surfaces and then touching bread to put in the basket. Then servers should not be having attitude towards the customers when we ask for the bread after being seated for 45 minutes p

I recommend getting in the waiting list before arriving. Love the hot bread they bring to the table when they seat you! You can pick your steak before sitting or just order off the menu. The ribs and steaks are great. It's not a cheap meal, but very good.

Yummers, I couldn't wait to eat their fresh rolls w/ cinnamon butter. The rolls were so scrumptious,soft, & hot! The cinnamon butter melted right on the hot rolls! I ordered the filet mignon medallions(medium rare) w/ smothered mushrooms,steamed veggies(carrots & broccoli), & Mac and cheese. The waitress was ok. I felt like she had a little bit of an attitude. I forgot her name unfortunately. My food came out in a bit. I remember the Mac & cheese being baked but I could be wrong. It was ok would have been better baked. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly to my liking! It was so flavorful. The smothered mushrooms were very flavorful! The veggies were kind of hard & didn't have enough flavor. I added black pepper to give it a better taste. The meal I ordered came w/ a pilaf of rice. I didn't really like or care for it. Inside was pretty busy & loud. There was music playing over the speakers which was cool! This isn't my 1st rodeo I've been to this location numerous times! I'll be backkkk!

The steaks are very well seasoned and cooked really well! Unfortunately they ran out of the porterhouse we wanted and the Mac n cheese is really not worth the up charge. It looks and tastes like kraft. The ROLLS are to die for, paired with that cinnamon butter. YUM!! Service was pretty good, no complaints.

The food tonight is just fabulous. I got a 20oz rib eye with out of this world mushrooms, mashed with gravy and buttered corn. My friend got a 12oz prime rib and the same sides. Every item we ate was just delicious! The meat was cooked exactly as ordered, and the wait staff were very attentive and pleasant. We seated immediately even though the restaurant was crowded and it wasn't loud despite the crowd. Just a wonderful experience!

I enjoy going to this restaurant a few times a year. From the yeast rolls to the porterhouse steak everything is good and consistent. It can get pretty busy on the weekends. I learned to get on the waitlist online 30 minutes before arriving. I'm usually seated as soon as I pull up. Our favorite is the porterhouse steak. Twice I've had the server Liv. She is phenomenal, attentive, and sweet. I also like the fact the managers walk around consistently maling sure the customers are pleased with the food and service.

We ordered the onion ring and it came out fast was very good but then I ordered the prime rib which was absolutely the worst prime rib I had ever had in my life. It was so tough I couldn't even cut it with the sharp knife I had. Last time I will ever eat there.

We booked a reservation online and the estimated time was 15-25 minutes. We weren't even in the car 5 minutes before we got an alert our table was ready, went inside and were sat promptly. The place was packed! (Per usual) our server was attentive, and friendly. Glad to see they're offering peanuts again, however now you get a bucket for the shells and still cant toss them on the floor. Fried pickles appetizer was good, i got the steak kabob for my meal which comes with rice and one side. All in all a good experience

My family loves stakes and ribs. These are not some of my favorite things. We went to Texas Roadhouse, where I knew my options of dishes not including the above mentioned would be limited. There was a short wait to get seated. When we arrived at our table, they already had their warm bread and the most delightful, cinnamon flavored butter. I'm not kidding, but I don't even care that nothing in their menu is for me, as long as I can have that bread and butter! I got the grilled shrimp and the fried pickles. The shrimp was pretty small, there were five of them on a stick. It was grilled and basic. This was ok! The fried pickles were a bit of a change from the fries. They were flavorful, crunchy and crispy. There was also corn and other sides that were sides of the stake. My family had a feast with all the meat. This is for sure not my favorite place to dine, but I made it work. I'm glad to say I'm the only one who didn't overeat at Texas Roadhouse.

My husband I probably go to this location once a month. The food is consistently good. This time I wanted to give a shout out to our server, Genesis for the excellent service! She was welcoming, funny, and she always made sure we had what we needed before we even asked for it (drink refills, bread, etc). Thank you, Genesis, we really hope to be seated in your section again!

Surprise, surprise ...who would think that the early dine special at Texas Roadhouse would actually be a fairly good experience. We ordered two sirloin steak dinners. They were each 6 ounces and probably a bit better than a hamburger. We missed ordering our filet mignon, but considering how poorly the last experience went, we thought we would try the early special this time. Just like the regular menu, it came with two sides. We had the salad, a potato and unlimited rolls. The restaurant was clean and well organized. Our server, Shannon did a great job. She was friendly, professional, and just a joy. She anticipated her customer's needs and was on top of her game. It was also interesting to see how many people took advantage of the early dine special. For the price, you really couldn't beat the value.

Reserved a table online. Got a text we were on the list. Waited only to find out they lost our reservation. When we finally got a table we were rushed through our drink order and half of us didn't get to order apps until the drinks came. Had to steal straws from another table and ask one of the runners for rolls and butter. After the apps arrived our server apologized for the wait and put in our dinner order. The place was extremely busy and the food was good.

I only have good things to say about my recent visit to Texas Roadhouse. Our server Greg gave us the best service we could've ever asked for. He was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. His recommendations were spot on and we enjoyed our visit. The food came out fairly quickly and our orders were perfect. This Texas Roadhouse is very big with many tables. Despite how busy, we were seated very quickly. I look forward to our next visit.

Those chicken wings do you see it. I want it mild and they made it extra mild just how I like it. The people who take our orders are so nice. And the bread they give us at the start is so delicious Thanks Texas Roadhouse for using my favorite Bread Kings Hawaiian. No Ambiance Good. The fries are good with the Wings. Best Restaurant Ever

Texas Roadhouse delivers once again. Our server today was Britney and also thanks to the manager (Gina) who came by my table to make sure everything was good. Love the food and service here. Thanks to both.

Great service with a smile and their employees will randomly line dance which I thought was fun to watch! Food is good too and their bread with the sweet butter was amazing.

They are absolutely worth the hype and so yummy. The spread is absolutely phenomenal even though I don't like the taste of cinnamon, their spread is to die for. The best part is you can order them as many as you want! Their foods are great as well and very affordable. I got an 6oz steak with mashed potatoes and butter corn. Perfect combination! Highly recommended.

I would like to call this Interruptions: Interruption 1. I would like to start this by saying that I have frequented this establishment a fair amount of times, but this past Sunday I decided to visit it along with my daughter for an early dinner. Well they said it would be about 30 minutes, which was fine. We were called in about 20 minutes, we were seated and a young man came and introduced himself. We ordered our beverages, I had a strawberry lemonade and when I got it, it was as clear as water with a hint of pink (slight hint) and once I tasted it I asked if he could please remake it, which he did and this time it tasted like strawberry lemonade. Interruption 2. We ordered our steaks and potatoes, and along comes #2, a waitress was walking by with a tray, some how she drops a glass of sprite in our direction, it wets my daughter's pants her shoes, my legs and my shoes. They apologized and cleaned it up. During this time we were still waiting for our dinner. There were 2 tables empty behind us when we came in but by this time they had been filled, believe it or not they had their food. Interruption 3 By this time both parties at the other tables were eating, we were not. They finished and left and another couple came, order and was eating. We asked the waiter about our food, he said oh, I'm sorry I should have told you we are a little backed up because we are so busy. "Huh" Are we being "Punked" Sir can you please check on our food. He said, Oh are you guys just coming from Church, (Can't make it up). We said please just check on our food. He never comes back. After about 10 mins. We said our FINAL GOODBYES to Texas Roadhouse. My husband and I had a great time at Texas Roadhouse. It was both of our first time here and were so impressed with everything we had. The rolls are literally perfection and the rib eye was amazing! I had to send my steak back bc it was underdone but the staff took care of it with ease. Overall great experience and will definitely be back again.

I have no complaints. Overall the food was delicious. Came with my family on a late Friday night. I had the 6oz sirlon combo with grilled shrimp. While my sister had the bbq ribs combo with shrimp as well. The frozen margaritas were great for the price. We tried the sangria and the mango margarita. Would definitely recommend! The service was great. My nephew is special needs and we made certain requests which they honored. The ambiance was great.

We went here for Sunday dinner. This place is hopping on a Sunday! We love that you can add your name to the wait list online. We get there, check in from the car and wait until we get a text, which is only a few minutes. Our waitress, KJ, was friendly and took our full order right away just because we already knew what we wanted and it was a busy night. She didn't write anything down but everything was correct! I was impressed. She did her best to be attentive. Food was good, as usual. My husband's steak was cooked correctly. We always leave full with left over tater skins and bread, of course. Cannot beat those fresh rolls with cinnamon butter!! Its a loud place. Country music playing, birthday celebrants " saddling up!" A good place for drinks, streaks, large salads. Bring the kids. Nobody cares if they are loud. Get the tator skins or the onion blossom. Always a good choice.

Don't patronize this restaurant on a Sat or Sun during peak hours if you value your hearing or like to eat your meal in a somewhat hospitable atmosphere. We are long-time customers of these restaurants and well aware of the generally high noise level generated by patrons, music, etc., however we were totally unprepared for the abrupt increase in the volume of music that occurred while we ate our dinner at 6:00 PM this past Saturday, and at first thought there was a technical issue with the sound system. Thinking they would correct it or shut it off at any moment and unaware that they had started a new thing (to us), with the wait staff line dancing in the middle of the restaurant (our of our sightline), the incredibly loud music continued for several minutes. My ears hurt so badly, I had to leave the restaurant. It was only later when I returned that I found out that this event is supposed to happen several times throughout the dining hours (on Sat and Sun I assume?). This level of noise is excessive and is damaging to the hearing of this establishment's customers and especially its employees. In fact, I believe it exceeds the Federal OSHA regulations. If we return it will be during the week and not at the dinner hour. We enjoy the food, and the wait staff have always been great but if we wanted a dance show we would patronize a dinner theater!

You can never go wrong with Texas Roadhouse! I love their steak, loaded baked potato, and a side Cesar salad. That's my go-to order. The service is always fast and friendly. The cocktails are good, beer is ice cold, and it's just an overall fun and enjoyable place to eat!

Have had 6oz serloin in the past and meat has been very good. On April 30, 2025, I ordered it again. This time, the meat was full of grissle

The food and drinks were good, everything you'd expect at a Texas Roadhouse. This review, however, is because it was honestly the best service I had ever had. Our waitress Genesis was fantastic. She made my birthday a wonderful day and it felt like a friend bringing food not a waitress. I would honestly come back just for the service

Texas Roadhouse is very popular. This one in West Haven is no exception. Fun western ambiance with a lively bar area. Service is friendly and often attentive. Signature dinner rolls with cinnamon butter are addictive. The restaurant always seems to be packed. Just know that no matter what you order you are not going there to watch your calories!! Our food, with exception of the chili and side of green beans (both good), was poor to below average. The chili was good but barely warm. The ribs were obviously reheated, lukewarm, and really dry without much flavor. We had to ask for BBQ sauce and used it to cover up as much of the bland dryness as we could. There's a big sign that advertises the ribs won first place in some contest in Texas. It wasn't these. The chicken fried chicken with cream gravy was also disappointing. Very thin chicken breast that tasted like a big chicken McNugget. A bust. They do have a nice way for you to pay at your table with a device. It was very convenient but the biggest problem I have is they apply your tip to the meal AND the sales tax. Frankly, that is ripping people off. There should not be any Tip applied to a government sales tax. Texas roadhouse management should be correcting this immediately, but since they make a point of saying that's what they're doing on the device my guess is they won't bother. No restaurant should do this. My recommendation is for customers to reduce there tip accordingly so it gets as close to a deserved service tip on just the food and drinks.

only thing good at this place is the bread and sweet butter. Everything else can be attained for a better price and better quality at "Longhorn"

Went to west haven location Saturday evening. Restaurant was packed but we used call ahead seating so we had little wait. Understood that staff was burdened with capacity crowd so they were busy but were very friendly and attentive. Bad part of the review unfortunately was the food. Ordered 20 ounce rib eye steak with mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked medium rare but half was over cooked and half was undercooked. The steak was thinner on one end. The meat itself was chewy and unappetizing. I couldn't finish it and left most of it uneaten. The masked potato's were served cold. This may all have been the result of them being busy, but if you have your heart set on delicious steak, beware.

It was a very busy night but the wait was not bad at all. We checked in using the app. Once seated our waitress Charm came over. She was great and kept our table and drinks full. Overall food and service A++ Great job Texas Roadhouse!!!!

Thought the 40 minute wait was going to be worth it . Nope! So disappointed. The mac and cheese is $1 kraft cheese junk. I kid you not. The fries tasted like someone spilled a salt shaker on top of them and my steak was fatty and not cooked how I asked for it and the shrimp didn't seem cooked enough. I basically ate a bowl of mashed potato and bread rolls. Oh and my margarita drink was just a sugary juice. I will never return .

Very friendly staff, the rib eye, one of the best steaks I've ever had, reasonably priced for what they give you, I can see why it's always packed...great business model, serve food courteously, have a great product, don't skimp on quality, have a great atmosphere...they have the winning combo..kudos to you! We will be back!!

Okay. Large brand-names usually just their skills on food, service & the theme of the style once they overgrow their brands too fast! The last experience wasn't the best, left a bitter taste of a place I really liked! This one ran out of food on popular dishes which a lot of people would come for. The service came from a new waiter training another waiter.. the food had HAIR! And a manger didn't come to address the issue, nor knew about it after we had to call an asst manager. Took off for a dish we never had, thought that was enough & a minor apology for the issue. Wouldn't consider coming back to big box brands that much.

My first time ever at Texas Road House I loved the atmosphere and our waiter was phenomenal. I loved everything about it was great and I came home with a big doggy bag for my lunch for tomorrow. I cannot wait to go back.

Always a great time when me and my friends come here for a late dinner just to hang out! the last time we were here we about an hour wait which was expected for a busy weekend but to make the wait better the hostess gave us some fresh bread and cinnamon butter which we took back the car and proceed to wait until we could be seated at a table Once seated our servers were really great and attentive to us. I had my usually full stack with mashed potatoes and fries and it was good! the music was turned up at one point so sometimes it was hard to hear my friends speaking in front of me so we would sort of yell at each other to speak but other than that it's a usually a great time and the celebrations are fun to watch!

Had this waiter named Jay, asked for rolls to take home for our family and he gave us like 4-5 boxes. He deserves a raise.

Hey there yelpers, we head an awesome dining experience here at Texas Roadhouse. We were up in New Haven at the university and came her for dinner. The place was packed but out wait was not long at all. First we stopped at the bar and ordered 2 IPA beers, 22 oz. We were seated shortly after that. This place kind of reminded me of the old Ground Round because they have us buckets of peanuts, and we're began to take the shells and eat, tossing the empty shells on the floor.... nice memories! At the front of the restaurant, you can look at all the steaks, and pick the one you wanted, I loved this. Liz our waitress was awesome! I picked out the 20 oz bone in ribeye, nicely marbled. They recommended that i order it Pittsburgh style (seared on the outside, rare on the inside) it was perfect. We're also ordered the blooming onion, not their name, it was good as well. The dinner was great, ribs and other steaks were ordered, everything perfect. Liz again, was outstanding, what a fun dinner and a good value.

Good for a chain restaurant. I usually get the steak kebabs. Love the rolls. Consistent.

Came here for the bread 10/10 would recommend. The bread is so goood. It's easy rewarm too at home. Great service. Clean.

Went on Palm Sunday at around 2pm and the place was packed. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table. Once we were seated things moved very quickly and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was good, what you would expect from a steak franchise, no complaints. Food came out fast and piping hot!! Overall a good experience!! Would recommend!!
