On the Grid : 811

"You might recognize the name from a past legal battle with 7-11’s legal team after an instagram from Skrillex went viral. Started by an art collective looking for an affordable place to exhibit pieces it's now become a landmark of the area, often displaying pieces that are critical of appropriation in art and freedom of expression." - Tennis

Katlyn, thank you for making my ticket process enjoyable! She Worked with me for three hours and never complained and even when I messed up, she didn’t tell me to hang up and call back whenever I figured it out she walked me through it and I turned in 21 tickets and typically I hate doing this stuff and she made it enjoyable so thank you very much. You rock and you deserve a raise.

I’m going to have a small 3’ fence put around my front yard, but before they can dig to install the polls, I need all of the companies to come out and place their flags. I made one call to Texas811 and Alyssa handled the whole request! She was so professional, sweet, nice and asked me some very good questions! She made, what I thought was going to be a chore, very easy! The best part…I never once had to ask her to repeat herself! I understood the whole conversation! Thank you Alyssa for taking such good care of my request! Regards, HHNash

Crystal was incredibly helpful in assisting me with a complicated 811 dig request. She was patient, kind, and took the time to walk me through each step. Despite the complexity of the situation, she remained calm and professional the entire time and ultimately got everything sorted out. Her support made a frustrating process much easier. Truly appreciate her help!

I've been experiencing issues with the Texas811 portal since it's been updated. Page is blank once I'm finally able to successfully login, and also there is no longer any app to be found, and calling is difficult as my projects are usually intricate. I've almost never had a successful ticket experience, and my career depends on this service functioning correctly. I've contacted support, etc, no help. We've been fighting this problem for quite some time, and now it's impacting our ability to do our job here. Please address this, it doesn't matter where we try to login from, which account we use, if we create a new account, access from outside our location, etc, just doesn't work. I bring up our issue every single time I call and it always seems to be a surprise to whoever I'm speaking with, like nobody else has complained before, and I'm transferred to a voicemail to complain. Not sure what else to do, I'm resorting to posting this kind of matter online and trying to message social media 811 accounts regarding this. We're frustrated and out of options. Maybe someone can respond to me here and suggest I clear my cookies and try again. Thanks! Also, the phone technicians are always nice but it seems they're coached to avoid questions, cannot get a confirmation or denial that there is even an app available anymore. What's the deal. UPDATE: Managed to get a response after posting this review, thanks!

I called because we are replacing a fence. Ed was my contact. He was so patient and helpful with my questions. If you get Ed as your contact person, he's great. Thank you, Ed.

Horrible service, no one to talk to at call center! Not user friendly at all! Tried to get locates to replace powerline poles all in a line and back to back. 9 poles in a row total, had to let kicked back three times because ending GPS didn’t match driving direction. The beginning GPS and driving directions were spot on and if they follow sporting instructions it would show to spot 9 poles going north to end GPS! People are so damn lazy and have no critical thinking skills!

I spoke with Rebeca Gomez concerning an exposed cable line in my backyard due to Hurricane Beryl. Ms. Gomez addressed my concerns with the utmost care and compassion. She was pleasant to talk to and I never felt rushed throughout my call. I sincerely appreciate the time she took to speak with me. Overall, I am pleased with the amazing service I received.
