"Dubai’s textile souk is the closest thing you'll find to the country’s traditional shopping culture. In a city where nothing is old, this bustling marketplace, right on the creek in Bur Dubai, can be a refreshing change of pace. Here, makeshift stalls are piled high with pashminas, saris, abayas, and kaftans in every color of the rainbow. That's right: Hundreds of different types of fabrics are on sale here. Local vendors will offer a glass of sugary tea while they show off their wares, all while assuring you that theirs are superior than those next door." - Laura Ratliff, Maresa Manara

This place used to be a great little market for buying fabrics and similar items. It had a nice variety and was a go-to spot for shopping. Unfortunately, the atmosphere has changed lately. The staff or vendors aren’t as friendly or welcoming as they used to be, which takes away from the overall experience.

If you want traditonal or fake good then this is the place to go. However you get harassed by the traders but in a nice way. Just smile, say no and walk on

Great experience. We have a good day there. And the price (not the first one they told, but the 5th ones you announced 🤣🤣) is cheaper than in the desert. The vendors were respectful and weren't boring like others said.

The Dubai Textile market  is situated at Deira.  If you are travelling im dubai metro  get down at Banya square metro station or Al ras metro station. Other places like gold souq is very close to this place. Visitors can also reach this place via Abra( water taxi) from Deira creek.

Traditional bazaar-style shops that showcase a wide variety of Arabic, Indian and oriental clothing with wholesale options. Additionally, one also finds a variety of spices, traditional incense and handicrafts from a bygone era. Be warned though: One needs to be a savvy, street-smart shopper with a knack for bargaining and conversant in local language (Arabic, Hindi, Urdu etc) in order to make the best deals ;)
