The food was excellent. Had some sourdough bread as a starter with anchovies butter, which I can recommend anyone- it’s class! The seacuterie board was a bit overpriced for what we received. However, the mains, see images, were both out of this world delicious and fairly priced. Can high recommend the sea bass and sea bream!

This is a gem place ! Definitely recommend this place for the best quality seafood with delicious flavors! The chef here pour in lot of love while making and cooking these dishes so the taste of the dishes are next level ! I was in food coma after having just one bite 😍🥹

Cozy restaurant, Excellent service and Outstanding Food and Drinks! Where do I begin? I sat down and started my experience with a Negroni. It was by far the best one I have ever had - just perfect. For food first with the small plate of Vongole. The sauce was so amazing. I had to request bread so that I could savor the taste. For main course I chose the Red Bream filet with fennel and apple. And completed my dining experience with chocolate cremeux! I was not disappointed. Highly recommend this restaurant and I’d recommend making a reservation especially on busier going out for dining nights.

The starter was nice, we ordered the seacuteries with some bread. But after that came a long wait for the main dishes. The sea bass was delicious but the mussels had a whole story coming along with it. The waitress on her way serving the dish, dropped a few mussels out of the dish, right in front of our eyes, but not saying sorry or have any reaction to it. The mussels themselves were not hot at all. We also ordered asparagus as a side dish, and what a ridiculous price, 8.5 euros for like, what, 6 pieces of asparagus??? So yeah, definitely will not come back and also not recommend!

The fried potato cubes were flavorful, but a few were overcooked and too hard to enjoy. Unfortunately, several clams had noticeable sand, which affected the overall experience and didn’t quite meet my expectations.

Me and my friend were craving seafood and the Good Companion did more than satisfy that craving. The service was lovely, one of our waiter’s Joey was very helpful. Providing excellent recommendations and tips. The other waitress was super friendly and attentive to us. We ordered a variety of dishes all of them delicious and kept us ordering more food. The dessert card could be better but the rest of the menu was fulfilling Our heart broke a bit when we found out the fish and chips have been removed from the menu. But we will keep an eye out for the Monday specials in hopes to see it again.

The seafood dish is fresh and quite tasteful. We are satisfied with all dish we ordered but we find that the fish and chips is just average for us. If I remember correctly, the oysters has 3 different kinds and it would be better if waiter/waitress can recommended us which one to start first and following in sequences. The clams dish is my most favorite one and I really recommend if you are a fan of clams. We booked it in advance as we go there during the weekend and it was good decision as it’s full house. We could sit only for 2 hours as what we booked as they have other guests booked the table also. The staffs are friendly and assist you quite well. They answered us with the questions we had with smiles on their faces so we were happy with the services. The restaurant is quite small so it’s quite tight when it’s full house. We need to get out of our chair to make the space when other guest need to walk to their tables with baby troller.

The best seafood restaurant in Amsterdam, in my opinion! I tried the three-course menu along with the recommended seasonal scallops dish, and everything was absolutely impeccable. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared using locally sourced seafood, and every bite was a highlight. I especially loved the pan-fried fish with the crab and shellfish sauce—the flavors were outstanding and delivered a fine dining experience without the hefty price tag. The wine recommendations were spot-on, perfectly complementing the seafood and tailored to our preferences. Highly recommend this gem for an unforgettable seafood experience!
