The is a Sunday night market on Rachadamnoen Road. The road temporarily is closed as a pedestrian only walking street. Always crowded with tourists. Lots of stalls selling great variety of products, ranging from handmade products, handicrafts, artwork, souvenirs to inexpensive clothing. There are some food stalls. I tried a few but not recommended.

Tha Phae Walking Street is a great place to explore if you’re in Chiang Mai. It’s a long street market that happens every Sunday evening, starting near Tha Phae Gate and stretching for blocks. The atmosphere is lively, with a mix of locals and tourists walking around, enjoying the street performances, and browsing all kinds of stalls. You can find everything from handmade crafts and souvenirs to clothing, jewelry, and unique artworks. The food is another highlight—there are plenty of stalls selling local Thai dishes, fresh fruit smoothies, and delicious snacks like mango sticky rice and grilled meats. The market is well-organized, and even though it can get crowded, it never feels overwhelming. The people selling their goods are friendly and happy to share the stories behind their products. Prices are reasonable, and bargaining is usually welcomed. If you enjoy street markets, Tha Phae Walking Street is definitely worth visiting. It’s a great way to spend an evening, try local food, and find some unique gifts. Just be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as there’s a lot to see!

The market is open on Sunday. We come at night to shop. There are many items available you can get here like souvenirs, apparel, food, arts and many more. The walking street is quite long more than 1KM. There are various types of items you can get here. Prices are negotiable, the seller is nice and the street is clean. There are many visitors who come here to feel the vibe of Chiang Mai Old Town.

What a cool market! You can find just about anything here on Sunday nights when the market is open. The entire road is shut down from Wat Phra Singh all the way past the Tha Phae Gate, and it is very fun to just wander around and snack your way through some shopping.

Good Sunday night market. Stretches about one kilometer from Tha Phae gate west to Wat Phra Singh. It even spills north and south on some cross streets. Lots of choices for food, clothing, and souvenirs.

The Phae Sunday night market was crowded with tourists and would have been unbearable if not for the cool Dec weather. Bring your wife/girlfriend along so that they can spend your money (there's quite a.lot.of stuff for them, over and beyond food) 😅
