Tha Phae Loft

Booked for two night the beginning of October. For the price we paid this place is superb, it is not a 5 star resort but a solid 3 star hotel that is excellent value for money. The hotel is tucked away from the main street and whilst small it is super modern. The staff deserve a mention too and are so nice and friendly. If budget is important then this hotel is well worth a visit

True showcase of Thailand hospitality..Everyone was super friendly and nice throughout our whole stay. There's free snacks in the room and plenty of water! The room is spacious enough for our family of 4. The location is very central.. not too far from lots of eatery, massages and nail parlours It is not on the main road so not too noisy. The swimming pool is always empty and provides a nice break from the heat for the kids. When we left the kids even got a nice elephant key chain as souvenirs. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.

We had a nice stay here. It is good value for the price. Room is nice and spacious. Staff are friendly. Location is good and central to the old town. Would be good to have a second key for the room. Not much view but that's OK. We booked a tour from here and had no problems.

So happy to have found the Thapae hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I arrived early morning so my room was not ready. They were so gracious in offering for me to use all of the amenities (shower available to use and pool) and to secure my luggage while I went out for the day to tour the old city. While there is no restaurant on the premises there are plenty of places to eat or get coffee within easy walking distance. ||I would say the hotel had a very urban chic feel to the place. Loved the rooms and location. The hotel is so conveniently located to all things within the old town. The hotel is tucked away down a short drive/alleyway so there is a sense of real privacy to the place. The hotel swimming pool is on the ground floor and looks as inviting as the pictures on their website. The room came with complimentary water bottles every day. ||I would definitely book this hotel again if I ever return to Chiang Mai.

Do not stay here. They claim we chipped a sink, which we did not do. This place has a book sitting in the room with all of the things they will charge you for if you break or lose. This is a money grab, plain and simple, and they think that because we have kids, teenagers, that they can extort us. 100% fraud. The cleaning lady probably chipped it and they need someone to pay for their mistakes. This has never happened in our travels, and it’s appalling to me that we’re being accused of something we didn’t do. Unbelievable. Also, the rooms are completely concrete and there are mosquitoes in the rooms. It feels dystopian.

I stayed here for 3 nights during my stay in Chiang Mai in April 2025. I loved this place in that it is a bit secluded in a alleyway for the peace and quiet, but also within walking distance to many of the main tourist attractions. The rooms were also nice and quiet, with a great and friendly staff. Housekeeping was done daily and very well. I would recommend this place for anyone visiting Chiang Mai that needs a place to stay near the main attractions!

Lovely location in a newer building. The service was amazing. I do wish they had a water bottle filling station. I got bored of asking the nice people here for water. Thankfully, they use recycled glass bottles. The beds are a bit stiff, but that’s normal. The quiet little ally that the hotel sit in opens onto the Sunday market madness; perfect location. Delicious coffee spots 3 minute walk from the room, and of course incredible little restaurants. Highly recommend staying here.

We just stayed 4 nights at this beautiful hotel. The highlight is definitely the staff, they are very friendly and always there to help. The location is awesome and you can basically walk nearly everywhere. In contrast to other reviewers we did not have any smelly drains (and we stayed in two different rooms as we extended for a night). The pool has a nice cold temperature to cool down from the warm Chiang Mai sun. Yes there is some construction noise during the day from the neighbouring plot, but nothing during the night. Ultimately you are in the center of the city, it won‘t be quite ☺️
