My go-to, no frill hotel when I stay in Chiang Mai. Located in Old Town, you are walking distance to the night markets and temples but the hotel is tucked away and very quiet. Comfortable bedding and super clean. You can relax here and still be close to all the charms of Old Town. The staff is kind and consistent- highly recommend for anyone looking for a low key stay.

We stayed 3 nights during the flower festival and found it a mixed experience. The hotel is well located down a quiet lane but our taxi couldn’t access it because of roadwork. It's easily walkable, though, and I’m sure staff will help with luggage if you need. Our bed was comfortable, the shower, ac, and mini frig worked well, and the room quite clean – what we could see of it since lighting was so dim! There's also a nice pool for cooling off which we appreciated. Unfortunately, there was a very strong stench coming from the bathroom drain which permeated the whole space and didn’t go away, and the spray housekeeping used to mask it wasn't up for the job. The hotel was fully booked so we just stayed out late every day. I don’t see other reviews mentioning this so I’m guessing it was just our room. If you’re given a ground-floor room on the back of the hotel I suggest you check it before committing, but in all other ways it was a good hotel.

Stayed here for 3 nights and the room was lovely, spacious and clean with a massive comfortable bed. They allowed us to check in early for free as our room was ready. They helped us plan our trips and advised which ones they would recommend. Security was outside the hotel all night and always welcomed us back with a smile. Would recommend staying here as it is central and close to attractions and the Sunday night market. There was no noise at night from bars/ restaurants which is always a bonus.

The hotel is modern and clean. Pool area is very nice. Rooms were small with no place to unpack. Also for the price there are many other places that also include breakfast.

Centrally located, walking distance from the city center, good size pool. Efficient check in process, rooms are modern, enough electric sockets compatible with European, American and UK charges, clean room/bathroom. Only con is that the bed is a bit hard. Otherwise a great stay for the price.

Good location, bad service. The air conditioning is poorly placed and blows directly on the face. The size of the rooms is good, comfortable. The staff is not very friendly; they refused to give us a 30-minute late checkout. Internet works bad

I had a great stay at the Thapae Loft Hotel in Nov of 2023. This was my first stay in Chiang Mai and this hotel was perfect. It's located in the old city really close to the Thae Phae Gate. ||The staff were super friendly and were extremely helpful. They called around to find an elephant sanctuary tour as well as a tour of Doi Suthep. I was traveling solo and some places would not accept a solo traveler (they would only take couples), but the staff called around until they found tours that would accept a solo traveler.||Another plus of the hotel is the laundry service. They partner with a nearby company and it is super cheap and very convenient. They even have an express service where you can pay a little more and they'll have it back the same day.||I was fortunate to be able to stay here during the Loy Krathong and Yee Peng festivities and the Hotel provided an itinerary of those activities. ||If i ever return to Chiang Mai I will certainly stay here again.

Amazing place conveniently located in Old Town but tucked away nicely on a side street. Staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. Great place to stay if you’re in Chang Mai.
