Tha Phae Loft

We had a nice stay here. It is good value for the price. Room is nice and spacious. Staff are friendly. Location is good and central to the old town. Would be good to have a second key for the room. Not much view but that's OK. We booked a tour from here and had no problems.

So happy to have found the Thapae hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I arrived early morning so my room was not ready. They were so gracious in offering for me to use all of the amenities (shower available to use and pool) and to secure my luggage while I went out for the day to tour the old city. While there is no restaurant on the premises there are plenty of places to eat or get coffee within easy walking distance. ||I would say the hotel had a very urban chic feel to the place. Loved the rooms and location. The hotel is so conveniently located to all things within the old town. The hotel is tucked away down a short drive/alleyway so there is a sense of real privacy to the place. The hotel swimming pool is on the ground floor and looks as inviting as the pictures on their website. The room came with complimentary water bottles every day. ||I would definitely book this hotel again if I ever return to Chiang Mai.

I stayed here for 3 nights during my stay in Chiang Mai in April 2025. I loved this place in that it is a bit secluded in a alleyway for the peace and quiet, but also within walking distance to many of the main tourist attractions. The rooms were also nice and quiet, with a great and friendly staff. Housekeeping was done daily and very well. I would recommend this place for anyone visiting Chiang Mai that needs a place to stay near the main attractions!

Excellent location, close to delicious local restaurants and amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful, and accommodating since we showed up ahead of check in time. Rooms were well stocked compared to other Thai hotels we’ve stayed at. Only thing we didn’t like was the lighting in the room - the overhead lights were not bright enough, and it could have really done with just some floor lamps!

Do not stay here. They claim we chipped a sink, which we did not do. This place has a book sitting in the room with all of the things they will charge you for if you break or lose. This is a money grab, plain and simple, and they think that because we have kids, teenagers, that they can extort us. 100% fraud. The cleaning lady probably chipped it and they need someone to pay for their mistakes. This has never happened in our travels, and it’s appalling to me that we’re being accused of something we didn’t do. Unbelievable. Also, the rooms are completely concrete and there are mosquitoes in the rooms. It feels dystopian.

Good hotel in grate location. The staff are super friendly. The room very lovely,the shower is o.k, but the main issue is with the mattresses .not on the soft side. Other then that I highly recommend this place.

I loved the location of this hotel! Walking distance to temples, cafes, restaurants, night market, shopping etc. So fun to explore. Rooms were fine, clean and good size for two people. The staff was really lovely and nice here. They even have laundry service and a pool.

This hotel is excellent for cleanliness, location, facilities and the kindness of all of the staff. The decor of the rooms was not to my taste, but I gather that this is a modern design trend. A bedside lamp would be a useful addition. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel and ,despite these minor criticisms ,would certainly return. With thanks to all of the staff who helped to make our holiday very special.
