This place is truly something special! My partner ordered a Thai milk tea, but guess what? I ended up drinking three by myself — it was that delicious! The Thai milk tea had such an authentic flavor, rich and perfectly balanced. The lychee water was wonderfully refreshing and lightly sweet, and the pineapple drink was crisp and revitalizing. Honestly, I felt like I had just discovered the best drinks in all of Queenstown. And if you’re pairing them with the best fried rice ever, it’s an unbeatable combo! The grilled pork neck was also incredible — I drank so many amazing drinks that I had to take the pork home. Let me tell you, eating it the next day was pure happiness! Both my partner and I agree without a doubt: We’ll definitely be coming back — and we’re recommending this place to all our friends! 🥰🥢🍍🧋

Occasionally, my family and I crave Thai food, and it's incredible that we found a lovely spot in Queenstown. You might need to Google it because it's tucked away on the upper floor of a building. I'm sure the taste is authentic—just like in Thailand—from my visits there. It really surprised me! The food is also great value for money, with large portions. Truly incredible for Queenstown! Highly recommended if you're in the mood for Thai food once in a while.

Google
This is an ok place. I was not impressed with food. Quantity was small for price and the food felt like super market sauce. Chicken corn soup 14$. Chicken basil 26$ and fish green curry 38$ with med rice 6$ Overall bill 84

Google
Planned to have beef restaurant. But, when we stopped by Thai, we decided to change the plan and it turned to a good decision. After 10 days in NZ, Thai food is so delicious.

Fond of their padthai and spicy glass noodle salad. Right amount of acid that i’ve been craving of. Generous chunk of seafood. Service was ok, used to be faster. But still had great experience. Nice decoration.

Google
Our food was absolutely amazing. Our family of five booked dinner here on a Friday night. The service was great. It was a bit noisy and it was very full, but that’s expected for Queenstown. We took leftovers home and they were great the next day too.

Yelp
Coconut prawns were really good. Papaya salad was fresh and delicious. Tom Ka was a generous portion and good presentation in a cool leaf bowl. Service was also great, seated quickly, food came quick, and checked on us a couple times.

Yelp
I got a take out (locally called "take away")Tom Yum soup and it got me right on the spot since I was starting to get cold because the weather started to drop on a cozy summer March night. Sour enough but was more on the spicy side. Portioning for a NZ$10 soup with chicken was enough for two people. I ordered a papaya salad as well and it cost me NZ$20. A bit pricey. Service was very friendly and they make you feel comfortable the moment you step inside. The restaurant is on the third level so it's quite a hike to get to it. The ambiance was very authentically Thai. Overall, I give it a three stars rating. I usually try more and may rate them higher but for the dishes I tried, I'm settling in for a three star rating.

Yelp
We wanted something warm and familiar after driving all day from Dunedin. Thai is one of our staples and we used to live in Bangkok, so this is comfort food for us. The place was easy enough to find right in the city center. It is up three flights of stairs. I can do this, but want to warn others. I have screws and pins in my knee. There is no disability access. The somtam salad was good and hot the right notes, but should have had peanuts and a side of either cabbage or cucumbers to cut the heat. (They did not ask our spice preference.) The Tom Ka was my least favorite. It was watery and don't have the flavor punch that it should. I asked for fish sauce & chili (for the flavor punch) and was charged for it. Ugh. Our mains we're pad kee mow and basil chicken. Both were good and what was expected. All of the portions were generous, but we still felt that it was quite expensive. It was good, standard Thai, but nothing to write home about.

Yelp
I've officially been here twice now because it's so good. Chicken Pad Thai reminds me of Thailand. So authentic. The service is great, super fast once you order and excellent food.

Yelp
Awesome food, atmosphere, and service. The menu said "Best Pad Thai in town", so naturally I had to order it and the dish was definitely was a hit! I got it medium spicy with vegetables and no meat. Just the right amount of sauce and flavor with a lot of greens! My husband enjoyed his Panang curry with tofu. My favorite was the calamari appetizer - I was a little skeptical as I normally eat my calamari with sauce on the side, but this was stand-alone. To put it short, I ate it down to its last scallion and red peppers :). Be sure to sit on the balcony to catch some breeze during the summer time.

Yelp
I hate to sound cliche, but the verdict from Thai food experts was: authentic and good. The duck salad in particular was excellent, as was the curry and the veggies with oyster sauce. Inside is a bit touristy and actually kind of cramped, the top floor location didn't give as much of a view as expected. And 4 stars at best because the rice was a bit dry.

Yelp
Good Thai cuisine! Been to Thailand and frequent the Thai restaurants in California so can say this is good restaurant. They have Thai iced tea, off menu item! We has the Tom Yum Seafood and Fish Cake appetizers and they were both good. Also had the Pad Se Ew (egg noodle dish) and the another main and both tasty and good Thai food. Would recommend.

Yelp
The restaurant is upstairs about 2 flights and hence not recommended for people with disabilities. Decor is pleasant and service was excellent. 1. Tom Yum soup was probably the best have ever had. 5 star 2. Spring Rolls were crisp, not oily and very good. - 5 star 3. Chicken Satay was good and there were 4 nice size skewers. It was 4 stars for taste and texture. 4. The vegetable green curry we ordered was tasty but very watery and mild. I would give it between 3 and 4 stars. Overall it was an excellent choice of restaurant so far away in the world ! So we returned for lunch the next day, which was Friday. But we were disappointed to find that they only serve Japanese lunch on Friday's. We ended up eating at another Thai restaurant nearby ( Siam Thai) It was decent and I would rate that one slightly below @Thai.

Yelp
Amazing authentic Thai food! The prawns were huge and grilled perfectly. I fell in love with Tom Yum soup here. Staff are extremely friendly. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Amazing Thai food, good price. The best Thai food I have ever had in NZ. I can say it is exactly the same flavor with Thailand. Staff are so friendly and let me think of Thailand. Dong yum soup is my favorite.

Yelp
After our favourite Thai restaurant closed in Melbourne, we've been 'testing' other places by ordering our favourite dishes. @ Thai ticked all the boxes - the food was delicious (and large in size), the service friendly and efficient (even with sign on the door indicating they were unexpectedly low in staff numbers), the atmosphere and furnishings pleasant (even though restaurant was very busy and full), and good value for what we had. I had my favourite dish - pork belly basil and chili with a fried egg on top with rice (changed to brown rice), which was tasty, included crisp vegetables, and had just the right amount of heat from the chili. My partner had crispy chicken pad thai which was a perfect combination (in his words). We started by sharing satay chicken skewers (4), which were moist, the right size and with a sauce that was not overbearing. We accompanied the meal with jadmine tea (me) and NZ wine (him), from an extensive drinks menu. The main food menu also had many interesting choices. Restaurant is up two flights of stairs, and from our table by the window, we could watch the people on the street below, as well as the gondola going up and down the hillside. Overall, a very satisfying meal.

Yelp
Four stars instead of five because there was no wifi. However the waiter was super nice and professional. And I had THE BEST pad Thai here. I'm from NYC, so I feel that that is a very bold statement, but it's true and they deserve the recognition. Thank you for a delicious dinner!

Yelp
Interesting location, however quite convenient. I would say that this place made all the usual dishes you'd come to expect from a Thai restaurant. It's based at the top of the stairs within the main township of Queenstown. We only ordered to take out as we were in a rush. We had a 30 minute wait for our mains and this was fine as you could see they were busy as every seat in the restaurant was taken. I did find that the food was a bit bland and lacked any major zing. It was also quite pricey for what you got.

Yelp
Best Thai food I ever had. Crispy chicken pad Thai was very delicious. A must try in town.
