Thai Lao Restaurant

Beautiful, bright, cozy interior, very friendly staff. Presentation of the plates was excellent for a small restaurant, however the taste was a tad sweet for my liking today. I'm a seasoned enjoyer of Thai foods, so it's not just me. You might want to request less sugar if you're not comfortable with Thai palette. Today, we had the Nom Tuk beef salad for our appetizer, and seafood Rad Na, and shrimp Pad Tai.

This Thai restaurant was about a 20 minutes away from our hotel, but totally worth the walk to come here. We had ordered and the food started coming out in about 10 minuets. It was very quick. The restaurant was about half full. The pad Thai chicken was so delicious 😋 and full of flavor. We also ordered Green curry chicken but got them to add in the vegetable from the red curry. They were happy to do this request for us. The green curry so delicious as well. We also got it spicy as well. Meals were very good size and the pricing was fantastic as well. 10 our of 10. Would Thai food eat here again.

Tasty Thai plates. Very flavorful. Got the beef salad today. Not too strong. Not too bland. Just right. 12/2019 everything flew great. Wished the chicken in the curry was prepared differently. And the stir fry was served in ground beef?

Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Seriously guys this place is really great. Highly recomendable the chicken skewers with peanut sauce they were delicious! Their red curry was super authentic and amazing. My girlfriend ordered the larb and loved it. Our waitress was very nice and kept our water full as well as make sure we loved our meals. Next time I’m in Oahu I will definitely come back!

We ordered the fish and chili sauce and the chicken pad woon sen. Absolutely delicious. I am normally anti-seafood, but I took a bite of my husband’s fish and chili sauce and immediately said “Mmm!!”. That has never happened in my life! They are attentive, have quick and high quality service, and the food comes out piping hot, well seasoned, and generously portioned. Thai Lao is the place to go for authentic Thai in the Honolulu area!

Pretty authentic Thai flavors, fair prices and decent portion size, given that Thai restaurants typically give smaller portions than Chinese, for example. Our favorite was the tom yum soup. To nit pick - the green curry could have used more green curry flavor, the green curry flavor was a little muted. All three dishes we had were on the salty side, but the green bean prik king was especially salty. We would return to have dinner again, but will ask if the chef is willing or able to cook our dishes about 1/3 less salty. Wonderful staff. Marissa was friendly and attentive.

Yo, yo, yo!!! You want authentic Thai Lao food! This is it! I asked for medium spicy for my Papaya Salad and Chicken Larb (Larb Gai) it has my mouth on fireeeeeeee🔥🔥🔥🔥!!! I'm soooo glad they didn't water the spice down for Western Taste. If you like spicy, this place is authentic like if you went to Thailand or Laos or go to their house for dinner!!!! I highly recommend it, if you love spicy!!!!

Some of the best Thai I’ve had since visiting Thailand. The flavors are amazing, portion sizes are perfect, the staff is super friendly and quick. I highly, highly recommend this place. Their spring rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had. The sauce that comes with is addicting, I wanted to dip everything in it. The panang curry is amazing, perfectly seasoned and creamy.. it’s perfection. The pad ki-mao was also amazing. I cannot wait to go back!
