Thailand Foods 1619

Always so good taste when I came 1619. Although it is in North Winnipeg and there's 40 minutes between us, I still want to taste the real delicious food. Real Thailand style same as I ate in Chiang Mai. In addition to this, very friendly owner is also the reason I went again and again. Trust me anything from 1619 is wonderful. No doubt.

Absolutely a hidden gem in Winnipeg. I was desperate to find a satisfactory Thai restaurant since I moved to Winnipeg three years ago and wasn’t able to find one until now! The food is delicious and very presentable, price is very reasonable, clean environment, and very nice boss ^^ Highly recommended!!!

Excellent dedicated staff and service. Delicious food. Great quantity. Value for money. Deserts were a nice touch. Parking is available. Wheelchair assessable. Nice fun spot to check out if you’re in Winnipeg.

I came from Calgary to visit my mom for the first time in 18 months, and since my dad passed away in 2020 she has been wanting to broaden her culinary horizons. She told me she had tried a frozen pad Thai microwave meal so I knew we had to do better. After some searching I chose to bring her here. We got stuffed wings, Pad Thai, Massaman Beef, Khao Soi, and some coconut rice. The portions were huge and everything was so wonderful…and the banana dessert was incredible. The staff was welcoming and friendly and we had a great time. Of course we ordered way too much as I wanted her to try a few dishes, but we took it home and even reheated it is delicious. She hasn’t stopped talking about it and wants to go back to try some other items on her own, and we will go back for sure the next time I’m in town. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This place looks dingy and disturbing on the outside, but is truly comfy, clean and inviting on the inside. Ingredients are fresh and portions are large, tasty and budget friendly. The owner is a gracious host as well. Especially enjoyed the Green Mango Salad, for $8.99. Superbly fresh and crunchy, with an undercurrent of spice.

I tried the pad Thai combo. The food was hot and ready in like 10 min. Pad Thai was really good I got it spicy and with chicken. The spring rolls are big and we’re good. Portion was good enough for atleast 2 people.

Excellent service and excellent food. My kids love it and always insist we order from here. Must try the green curry soup, pad Thai and their delicious dessert.
